The transmission on my car went suddenly while I was up in deland from miami visiting family. Called a couple of different places to try and get the repair done and was told it would be a week before I could even bring my car in.Kept trying and finally called Mark over at the Sanford Aamco he told me to come on in. From the second I got in there his warmth and professional demeanor put me at ease.The whole team over there was transparent and helpful helping me navigate the issues with my warranty company and we’re always quick to provide updates about the process of fixing my vehicle.Would definitely use them again for any car trouble I had.

I am a little late posting my review but here it goes.I always pay attention to reviews any time I need something done for myself. I had to have my vehicle towed in to this establishment as I needed to have my CV joint axles replaced on both sides and a new battery. I called around to several different places being new to the Sanford area. When I called AAMCO Transmissions, I spoke to Mark, the office manager. He was very pleasant on the phone as I was explaining what was going on with my 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe. I waited about 2 weeks later to call back and spoke to Mark again to let him know that I was calling back to see about bringing in my vehicle, I was really surprised he remembered our last conversation and what we talked about in getting my car repaired. After getting off the phone with Mark I had a strong feeling that my vehicle was going to be in good hands, especially after all the good reviews I read.The customer service and professionalism that Mark and his team showed me was awesome. Mark called me to keep me informed of what was going and even gave me some recommendations for my vehicle that is 11 years old with way over 200K miles on it.My entire experience with Mark, Jeff and his team was exceptional. Took my vehicle in for a supposed transmission problem that my mechanic said he found. Turns out it wasnt the transmission at all it was the wheel bearings/hubs in the rear.Customer here is exceptional. No games, no hassles, theyre friendly and best of all HONEST. Taking your vehicle to a transmission service center can potentially open you up to being taken advantage of; not the case here.My experience with Mark was exceptional. We had an immediate rapport, and I knew I was in good hands. If you have any sort of motor, transmission, or mechanical issues your local mechanic cant fix, this is the place to go. Pricing was fair, but it is what it is nowadays, nothing too extreme. Id have to say if its in their control, theyre going to help you out as much as they can.All in all, a very scary situation turned into a not so scary one. Mark and his team did an exceptional job fixing my vehicle. Highly recommended.

Had my car towed to this shop as my car had died and I needed a trustworthy mechanic. After reading the reviews I gave it a go and I don’t regret it one bit. Service was great and the owner was so pleasant and kept me updated. Turns out I needed a new starter. So happy with the service, it was quick and I had my car back the following day. So glad I found a new mechanic and I will not be venturing anywhere else. If your are looking for great customer service and a honest mechanic this is the place to go.

Simply the best! I could not recommend them enough. My car needed the wheel bearing replaced in the middle of a family emergency. The team at AAMCO has been so accommodating, extremely reliable and very reasonable. They have also done a very good job and made sure the car was completely fixed before ending it back. I don’t write reviews very often but this one is extremely well deserved.

Mark and his team have been wonderful to work with. They were recommended by my Son and Daughter in Law after they both had work done here. I lost all electrical in my van and they were able to fix it for the price they told me. They also recommended a couple of other repairs, one that needed to be done rather soon and one that could wait. I went a week later and got the urgent work done and had my car back sooner than I expected. When my car acted up again this week I took it back to Mark and found it was something very simple. Mark treats everyone with great respect. I have watched him deal with people while in the office. As a woman it makes me uncomfortable to go to a shop and ask for quotes. I brought my 2005 Chevy Cavalier to Mark at AAMCO last week. There is a problem with the transmission that NO-ONE, up to this point, can figure out. The transmission has been replaced twice without fixing the problem.Mark and his team kept the vehicle for about a week during his very busy schedule. He found the time to run complete diagnostics on the vehicle during that time to try to uncover the problem. When Mark finally concluded that the issue with the transmission was not the transmission itself, but something electrical, he referred me to an automotive electrics specialist to solve the problem.Mark has been true to his word throughout this entire diagnostic process. He told me he would first evaluate the vehicle then let me know what the cost to repair would be. After he concluded that he would not be the best to solve the problem, he referred me to the electrics specialist and did not charge me one cent for his time and effort.It is truly a blessing when you find someone like Mark. His honesty and integrity are extraordinarily valuable and rare. I highly recommend Mark at AAMCO transmission for all your automotive needs. After saving for 2 years to buy our son his first car..his dream car..we ended up with a hidden bad transmission among other things. Devastated because we cant get him anything else, we took the car to AAMCO Sanford and to say they were amazing is a tremendous understatement. Just recently had my transmission on my 2005 Chevy Trailblazer rebuilt at this facility. Jeff and his shop are honest and up front with you. My total came out a bit higher than the estimte due to some internal parts that needed to be replaced that were unforeseen. We had built in a buffer for the quote which I fully expected to be used because of any issue that werent visibale upon the initial inspection. Im currently road testing and all seems to be going well. I will follow up my review in 10 days after I go back for the follow up visit to re-inspect the work after some miles have been put on the newly rebuilt transmission.

We were having issues with another repair facility and brought our vehicle here. Despite being incredibly busy, and checking on someone else’s work, Mark the Customer Service Manager went above and beyond for us. Not only getting our vehicle checked and diagnosed as soon as humanly possible, he was also very communicative and took extra steps to get us situation. He was very polite, profession, informative and went above and beyond for a situation that he didn’t need to be. We would highly recommend and it will be the only place we take our vehicle to in the future.

I had my clutch fail unexpectedly and Mark and his team did a fine job getting me on the road again.

HONEST MECHANIC! Truck wouldnt start in the driveway. Got it towed over to the shop and then for some reason it started without trouble. Mark was really professional and inspected the whole starter system for free. Couldnt find any issues, so didnt charge me anything for the inspection. Rare to find a mechanic that wont find a reason to do maintenance.

I was referred to Mark and his team after bringing my car to the dealer for what I thought was a coolant leak turned out to transmission fluid. After receiving a $15k quote for repair, the tech recommended I bring my car to Mark. Mark communicated with the techs back at the dealer to ensure the repair was done correctly and he also determined that some additional repairs the dealer recommended were not necessary. My car is still in the relearn process and adjusting to the new parts, but the customer service was excellent. Mark was extremely kind, responsive and respectful of the fact that this was a major repair. He checked with me before moving forward with anything and very candidly spoke about what he felt the cost range for the repair would be. The repair was less than half of what the dealer quoted me. While I wont be buying another of this same brand of car in the future, I am grateful that Mark stands by the work completed. With only 60K miles on this car I am confident I will driving it for years to come. Thank you Mark!

Mark at Aamco was super helpful. I found myself in a tough spot since my transmission needed to be replaced on a vehicle barely worth the cost of said replace. Mark talked through the options with me, he was not pushy at all, and he even let me keep the car on location for a few days while I sorted things out. In the end I did not even decide on purchasing the new transmission, and he was still super helpful. To me this showed that Mark really did just want to help where he could, so I cannot recommend this place enough!

Way overpriced my husband had them fix the transmission in one of his trucks for 4800 then another truck need a radiator the charged him 600 almost 400 of that was just labor highway robbery you would think they would have given him a deal ..never again

AAMCO is the place to go!!! Just got work done on my 2014 VW Jetta. Got my ignition cables and coils replaced. They were so upfront about everything. First thing Mark said was, “Don’t want you just throwing parts at it.” Not only were they really helpful with telling me what the issue was with my car, they were very speedy with correcting the problem. Mark Lewis is great to work with. Was able to save me several thousand dollars compared to estimates from two other AAMCO’s as the transmission was slipping but actually from a broken U joint outside the transmission. Other shops wanted to replace the transmission, Mark saved the transmission. I find him to be honest, reliable and ethical which is a rarity in Florida.

Had my transmission repaired about 18 months ago had an issue last week with it doing the same thing or so I thought. Called Jeff he was able to get me in same day to look at the issue. He found out it was a seal issue, he ordered parts and had it fixed in a day!! He could’ve said it was the transmission and made more money but instead he was honest. He also kept me informed throughout the entire process and explained things to where I could understand. It’s hard to find a honest repair guy. We took our truck there and they said it need a new transmission or needs rebuild because it was over heating. We had them rebuild it $2700. Took the truck back 3 different times for the same problem and they would keep it a week and say they replaces something and it would still be over heating. They tried telling us it just runs hotter than it used to! We took it to a different shop and they said its a Solenoid!! they said we should bring it back to you, However we will NOT .. We would rather pay someone else to do the work then have this place touch the truck again!

Had my car in for what I though was transmission slipping. They said I need my fluid flushed and a motor mount replaced (around $600). Had the work done there. One week later slipping worse. Brought it back. No transmission problems found. One month later lost first gear. Had it taken to another shop ($1300). They said would have been around $400 if it had been diagnosed right the first time.

This is probably the best automotive repair facility in Sanford . Jeff the owner of this center is very knowledgeable and fair. The technician that work for him are the most talented in the industry. They are the only ones I allow to touch my vehicles .

I called and scheduled myself an appointment and was promptly seen the next morning. They worked quickly to diagnose my cars issues and set the expectations honestly even though it wasnt what I expected. They told me exactly how much it was going to cost without throwing fluff in there and gave me an accurate expected wait time. They had a finance option that worked for me too which was unexpected since I have less than perfect credit. I am thankful because without it I wouldnt have been able to get my car fixed. The office manager was fantastic! He kept apologizing for how long it was taking. I wasnt worried because he had been honest with me from the get go and I chose to wait knowing this. There is a restaurant right next door too so that was super convenient. They earned a loyal customer for sure. I would trust these guys with my car in a heartbeat.

My experience here was fantastic. Im not the best with cars and as a female, I do worry about being taken advantage of when getting my car looked at. I called this AAMCO about 4 weeks ago because my car had been smelling of gas and I actually saw gas dripping under my car near the gas tank. I was able to make an appointment for the next morning. I brought the car in and had to wait a few minutes, but they were busy, so no big deal. Once they moved the car to the back, the office manager and mechanic both told me that it was clearly leaking gasoline and that it wasnt safe to drive. They said it would cost about $200 to take the gas tank off to try to figure out the problem.Now, I am going to be replacing this car soon, so I was trying not to spend a lot of money fixing it, which I explained and they understood, even allowing me some time to think about what to do. While I considered what to do, the mechanic looked up my car and found that there was a recall on the exact year and model of my car for the exact problem I was having. They even printed the information out for me, so I could take it to the dealer. The manager (Im sorry I forgot his name) was even so concerned about me driving my car that he made sure that I only drove to the dealer about 4 miles away and didnt go anywhere else since the car was not safe to drive.The dealer ended up fixing it all for free (it wasnt a nationwide recall, but a fix they do for free if the problem happens). The guys at AAMCO went above and beyond to help me when they could have just charged me probably $1500 to replace the parts themselves, as it was the gas tank, fuel pump, and pipe from the gas tank to where you fill up that needed replaced. I would highly recommend them (but they do get really busy so make an appointment).

Had to have my transmission rebuilt. It was a job well done. I recommend Jeff and his guys for any service but especially transmission. Being updated along the way along with some useful background knowledge was an excellent bonus. Theres no doubt I would have more work done here in the future.

I was having some issues with my vehicle and took it to a shop near my house. The mechanic was telling me that I needed this and needed that. I knew that my car needed some tender love and care, but not everything including the kitchen sink. I asked a few friends in hopes of getting a referral to an honest and reputable mechanic. That is when I met with Jeff Murphy, the owner. He is extremely knowledgeable and took the best care of me and my car. I came to realize that the other place was going to fleece me for things that did not need to be done. There were some things that still needed to be done, and AAMCO/Sanford took care of it. My car is like brand new again. My experience there was amazing (did I say amazing)! The entire team worked like a fine tuned machine and I was only charged for the actual services I needed to get my car back to running perfectly. I cannot thank Mr. Murphy and his team for all of the work that they did. At first, I was thinking of just trading my car in. Glad that I waited and met with him, because I am going to keep my car for another 10 years now. THANK YOU!

Jeff and this team are absolutely wonderful! I know honest mechanic seems like an oxymoron, but hes putting that stereotype to rest. He has the heart of a teacher, as he will explain things in great detail and really wants everyone to walk away exists and happy!As for his pricing, I had quite a bit of long overdue work done this month. I called a couple other shops, including my parents family mechanic and long time friend, but Jeff was still cheaper. He clearly prints the material cost and labor cost, so that you know hes being transparent. I was very skeptical walking in, but trust him greatly walking out!So what about the fix? He correctly diagnosed all of the issues with my car, explained everything, and when he was finished, the issue was completely remediated. You can tell hes not making things up because he breaks things down and follows through!My only complaint: I really wish I would have found him when I moved to Seminole County!

After using my SUV for eight years and accruing over 200 K miles, I was just about ready to junk the vehicle until I took it to the Sanford AAMCO on a friends recommendation. Jeff is absolutely amazing, he answered the phone before hrs of operation and had my car towing less then two hrs later, so far so good, i have confidence the repair will go just as smooth .......thanks Jeff

I took my truck to Firestone to be repaired. They were unable to fix the truck. Brought my truck to AAMCO and Kyle and Jeff were able to diagnose the problem and fix my truck better and as it turned out cheaper than Firestone could have done! Great job guys. Thank you for all your help!

My wife and I have 2006 Toyota Sienna We live in Oviedo.. I am very happy with the owner Jeff Murphy, He is a great guy and helpful.. My van has over 200,000 miles. My wife and I love to travel on the road trip. We were ready to trade in for a new Van. I said to my wife let wait to see if we can rebuild transmission. They did wonderful job to rebuild my transmission. We ran 1500 miles after rebuild transmission. We drove to Fort Lauderdale. We have no problem. We are happy with Jeff. He is an awesome Dude! We are very patient with him. We dont rush them. We let them to take their time. We want them to fix right. If you need transmission to rebuild, i think you should go see Jeff.. We broke down at 5:45 on Monday night. AAA was not helpful with a tow truck because we had a small trailer. We called Dave and he arranged the tow and checked our Transmission first thing Tuesday. They got us back on the road Thursday morning. They helped us find a rental car, helped with our warranty company and the techs pointed out other issues that would need attention soon. Great service.

I was able to pay my rent because of these guys. The Dealer told me I needed a new transmission and going to Aamco saved my life!!! These guys informed me that my 40 dollar modulator was bad. 69.00 dollars later I was shifting perfect.My wife actually hugged the big guy when we picked the car up.
