Maybe I shouldnt be rating this place because I didnt buy anything. But I stopped in since my wife mentioned how sharp the new Sorento looks, to see prices. I had some time on the lot to check things out, and a nice fellow Travis came out to see if he could help. Travis was very friendly, and not at all pushy about a new car. We are the odd group that visits a lot of vehicles for before making a choice. In my opinion, we got the best service with Travis. Ive purchased 2 vehicles at KIA in Sandusky and each transaction was a very positive experience! My salesperson, Travis, was completely patient with my multitude of questions and was extremely knowledgeable and thorough with his answers. Great efficient friendly staff all around, highly recommended!

Took my car in for an oil change today.. I arrived at 12:00 my appointment wasn’t till 12:30 I told the guy I was early but just wanted to check in and I’ll sit in car with my dog till it’s time, he said I’ll go ahead and take it back. I told him that I didn’t want to stand and wait an extra half hour before they started working on it. He said no we will start right away, I said okay then I’ll get my dog out.. He took it back and I wait for an hour! An hour for an oil change!? Seriously! Also, for 40 min of that time I was staring at my car thinking it hadn’t been worked on yet was getting stared at by all the mechanics and they kept laughing at me! Then the guy gets in and pulls it out! Made me stand outside with my dog all that time for nothing when my car was done!! I will never go back nor will I refer them to anyone!

My experience was very positive. Would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking for a new car. The sales people were helpful and the finance department seem to really care about the customer and not just trying to sell you products you don’t need.

I would rate this place a 0 if it would allow it. My car is still under warranty. The service manager said they would fix my car but couldnt guarantee that the replacement would last. Five minutes later, he went back on his word and said they wouldnt fix my vehicle. He placed blame on a previous minor accident, which Ive never personally been involved in. Ive only owned the car for a year. Oddly enough, the assembly light that needs repaired, is the same assembly light they replaced last summer that was under warranty. The service manager had zero issues or no placed blame with replacing the lights last summer, covering them under warranty. That was never mentioned from the service manager. They didnt even question it, but now they want to come up with an excuse to not replace it. Furthermore, I had to go back because the one light was still building up moisture. Sad to see a place conduct business this way over a couple hundred dollar assembly light that should be under warranty; It soured my experience to the point where I wouldnt even go back to get air in my tires.

I just purchased a new Kia Telluride at Halleen. From first contact until we pulled of the lot, we had an excellent experience. Zach and Rich were great and took plenty of time to address all my questions and walk us through the process with ease. Great repair service, calls throughout the time they had it with updates. My only complaint was they had my car for 2 weeks and were unable to give me a loaner vehicle due to their limited stock in cars on the lot. Thankfully, I had a family member who had an extra vehicle I could use.

Just make sure you do your homework before buying any car. They are one of the few dealerships in Ohio that don’t mark up over MSRP. I would absolutely buy another car from them!

I had bought my Kia Optima on May 7th, with 102,400 miles on it. Never had a single issue with it until 3 months, to the day August 7th, I was traveling down the turnpike and my engine decided it was going to slowly but surely quit on me. I had my car towed to the Halleen Kia Dealership in Sandusky, Ohio. Being from out of state, I was extremely upset and didnt know what to do, as I had never had an issue like that before. I was reassured that my issue would be handled accordingly since Kia offers an extended warranty since there were issues with engines in their 2011-2016 models. I was told I would be without my vehicle for 6-8 weeks and they would keep communication open, since its over a 4 hour drive from my home. I was called with information yesterday August 19th, so 12 days after my engine blew up. They told me that since I was from out of state they had replaced my engine as quickly as they could! I was absolutely ecstatic!!!! I have never owned a Kia in my life, but after what was an extremely terrible experience turned around within such a short period of time, and didnt cost me a single penny (besides a $400 towing fee), I will forever choose to buy Kia products. Thank you for your outstanding customer service! I am very, very thankful!

I had a great experience getting my Sportage serviced recently! I actually bought my vehicle from another dealership - I’m located closer to Toledo but I didn’t want to continue supporting Taylor Kia, so I made the trip to Sandusky instead. The staff here was so much kinder and explained everything so well! I was in and out in about 40 minutes and it was actually much more affordable than I initially anticipated.

I was visiting family in Sandusky and had been talking with a salesman here about a particular vehicle. I was given a price and a link to a pre qualification form, which I completed. The salesmen suddenly quit responding. We went to the dealership the next morning to look at said vehicle and was told the dealership does not finance to out of state customers so I would have to find my own financing in 30 minutes (the day before a federal holiday and 7 hours away from home) or the vehicle would be sold to someone else. It would have been nice to know the info about financing the day before when talking to the salesmen…Not good customer service or effective communication at all. That should have been something that was disclosed from the beginning when the salesmen knew I was from out of town very very early on. That’s okay though because I made the trip to the Delaware, OH area to Celebration Kia later that day and had a GREAT experience and purchased the same vehicle I was looking at here! Highly recommend making the trip to Celebration Kia!

I heard a little sounds coming from my rear tires. I called and made an appointment. The technician said he’s heard this before and it’s probably a tire issue. After about fourth five min he came back in to tell me it was a brake caliper and they will replace it. After an house he came back and told me that him and his technicians replaced the calipers and brake pads because they showed unusual wear for the mileage. I could have asked for a better experience.It’s one thing to just do what you think it is,but to dig a bit further and find the root of the problem, that’s a mechanic with integrity. Thank you so much for the peace of mind while driving my family around in my Forte.

I bought a used Ford F150 at Halleen Kia on 26 April. After two weeks of owning the truck, I noticed a bad shimmy/ pulsation in the left front of the vehicle. I scheduled a service appointment but had to reschedule due to a family emergency. Once I rescheduled, it placed me just outside my 30 day warranty. Now, supposedly, Kia does an over 100 point inspection on all used vehicles before they sell them. This was a warped rotor that definitely would have been caught had that inspection been completed to standard. I verified this with two local dealerships that caught it right off of the bat. At the 42 day mark of owning the vehicle, I took in to have i fixed. Halleen Kia Sandusky would not perform the work without me paying full price. No negotiation, no compromise, no dice. I was told it was on me and pay for it or theyd take it out of the bay. I went to Patrick Halleen the GM, explained the situation, and he would not budge. As a matter of fact, he laughed at me while sitting in his office. As a 100% disabled, combat decorated, US Army Retired veteran, I am spreading the word to all of my friends, family and associates at local vets establishments to stay clear of Halleen Kia Sandusky. To not compromise on a situation they should have caught in the first place shows a severe lack of care and concern to the customer. I was literally floored when i was given a full price sales order to do the work. And to have a GM of a dealership laugh in your face is a non-starter. Please, people, I realize it is a popular dealership. But, its not all fun and games. I had a terrible experience and am spreading the word. Ross Farmer, salesman, was a bright spot. He did an excellent job at point of sale. My family had been buying cars for a long time there with Paul Poock. We will never do business there again. After buying six cars there, we are finished with Pat Halleen and Halleen Sandusky.
