Friendly, relaxed, organic grocery and specialty mart. Winter Ridge has the variety that I would expected only in a big city store. Great for healthy munchies. I did not have to wait to check out as every check out was well staffed. Highly recommended!

Always has a great selection of everything, plus makes its own soups, salads and sides daily. There is also bread and rolls made from scratch, and tasty pastries. They have a great selection of wines and beers as well.In other words they have everything the health store normally has, with the addition of organic meats and in-house made sausages. Lots of bulk product and fresh veggies and fruit too.They also have fun gifts and useful items such as chopsticks and thermal water containers etc.You may have to hunt through regarding prices, sometimes they are extra $ on their items. However, everything is always fresh and freshly stocked, and their staff is knowledgeable and helpful about the product (large selection of vitamins, herbal products etc). So, the trade-off feels worth it? As everything is in one spot vs hunt and peck in different supermarkets.

Just discovered this gem and wished we had known sooner, vacationing this week in Sandpoint, we’re super healthy eaters and not many options in town. We stopped in for a snack and were pleasantly surprised to find fresh hot food and salad bar! Lots of baked goodies and healthier treat options, we loved everything, super delicious, going back for sure!

I enjoy shopping here, when I can afford it.. Buying meat, cheese and produce here is wise..

My husband and are visiting from Washington and was so grateful to find such a great store and also deli. I have been twice already and ordered sandwiches, soup, juice and also bought some bakery items, ALL delicious. I also picked up some supplements. Everything was great and the lady in the supplement section is very attentive and helpful. We have not had good help, greetings or service in Sandpoint during our stay here. So this has been great, thank you.

Yes some items are more than at other places.... but winteridge is about customer service. Giving good advice about products and information to help you find the best fit for you.

I thought condescending organic food store workers were some fodder for stereotypes but Id never actually experienced it first hand. Calm down guys, its Missoula, whats there to be so annoyed by? Be nice. Be helpful. Be pleasant. That goes for all of you. I interacted with 4 workers. Each the same tone and subtle annoyance and condescension. May be its a work culture thing. They seemed pleasant with regulars though. But that Ill never be.

Nice people, easy internet, gluten free bakery items, nice deli area to sit down and work on things. A great place to stop when traveling. Prices arent the cheapest on some things but good on others, and I really dig this small town natural food store! 💚

I have only gotten to know this store within the past year. They have amazing selection of bulk foods, particularly spices, different flours, legumes, and rices.They have an amazing selection of cheeses and their bakery is almost the only one in Sandpoint that bakes croissants other laminated pastries from scratch.

Just moved to the area and it was one of the best finds! This place has the best foods, it feels so homegrown and homemade. Really enjoy how helpful the employees are!

My favorite organic store in the region. Salad bar and hot bar are amazing. Baked goods are phenomenal. Great produce section and also a nice assortment of house-smoked meats. The icing on the cake though is their craft beer selection. I cant make it out of the store without spending $50.

When you go into the store for sliced cheese and meat and a couple pieces of fruit you don’t expect to spend an hour and still walk out without the meat you asked for and they got the cheese order wrong. It was also depressing to see how much turkey the clerk threw away because they didn’t know how to slice it so it got mangled! I encourage you to have more sense of urgency and care for the product you sell as well as the people buying it!

This is another if our favorite haunts! This is an artisan store, where you can find local everything, even hard to find items! Their produce selection is wonderful, and being organic, they are actually big fruits and veggies, where at other places theyre smaller for a higher price. The store will also order something for you if its not on the shelf, or if its a new item to add to their shelves! Great place❤️

The fresh made to order sandwiches are my new craving.. I love thewho came first with bacon added. Rising star chef Tommy is one to watch. This kid knows how to make a sandwich. WOW! Its fresh made to order and ooh my goodness DELICIOUS!.

I’ve been shopping health food stores for over 50 years and Winter Ridge needs some help with their inventory. It’s great to see all the bulk they offer however it’s evident there’s no rhyme or reason behind placement of items on the shelves. As an example, they have food items right across from the cleaning supplies. Granted everything is contained but it just doesn’t make sense; the placement?! Personally I’ve also worked as a manager to a vitamin store, owned my own health store and was also a general manager to a small health store like Winter Ridge so I’m aware of the challenges but know there are ways to work with small spaces to attain a better feel to a store. I hope with their new Director we will see better improvements. As for the staff. Well, interesting people but not professional at all. You can always tell by the staff how management runs their store. I guess it works for them?! I’ll continue to purchase online since they don’t carry much in their inventory. There’s nothing worse than asking an employee if they have something to get a response “I’ve never heard of that before! Are you sure that’s the product?” When you know for a FACT what you’ve been using for years. It’s just another “whatever” moment dealing with retailers.

Theyve really improved their selections over the years and you cant beat their bakery anywhere in town.

Ive been all over this great world and I have yet to find a better natural foods market and café than this one.They hire pleasant, warm people who care about each other and our community. They do an exceptional job of welcoming everyone in, from the logger to the artist, from the cop to the activist. All with love. All without judgement.You might think such a great place, selling organic, non-GMO treats would be expensive or have a poor selection. You would be wrong.This is my grocery store, my first choice for the food I need to feed my body, bones to spirit.

I cant eat much meat, but when I do, its the place to go. The best grass fed, grass finished beef around. Also they have a mega supply of all kinds of the BEST bone broth joints and bones, even elk and venison! The fruits and veggies are sometimes a disappointment, but here in North Idaho we have a shortened growing season, so its not their fault. They do the best they can with what they get. Love this,place! Great deli and chefs to cook for you too and lots of breads, pastry & cookies, etc.

Good selection, a lot of local options. You can expect to pay a lot more than you would at a supermarket but that is the nature of local, natural, organic etc. Their bakery and prepared foods are awesome!! Nice little gift options too for the chrunchies in your life.

This is a wonderful store! Competitive prices! They always have a great and wide selection of fresh organic produce, very high quality.Lots of local items, not just food and beverage, but also fun stuff like puppets and cute lunch boxes, beautiful candles/inscence and holders etc.They just have such a wonderful selection of things!Very large section of vitamins & minerals and hygiene products. It is just like a regular grocery store, such as Super One Foods, only it is smaller in size and it is mostly organic, and its local!Their bakery is TOP NOTCH. I go there every day. They have something new every day. If there is one item in specific you like, you just write a note and drop it in their suggestion box. They have fresh made pizza doughs and pizzas, take-n-bake enchiladas (even gluten free options!).They also have a small cafe with gluten free options, and a hot bar/salad bar.Seriously love this place. Highly recommend!

The place reminds me of Whole Foods, but on a smaller scale. This is a Mom & Pop operation, but the service is great from all of the employees I have interacted with. The prices on a lot of things are on the high side, but the prices on items during sales are a bit more reasonable. If you are searching for food that is organic, non-gmo, and healthy, then this may be the place for you. The lighting in here is nice and bright, and the place is kept clean and tidy.I would recommend this grocery for vegetarians and vegans.

Lovely little health food store. Unfortunately my visit was cut short by a very unpleasant experience with the tactless old man working in the cosmetic/lotion section... I will take my business elsewhere.

Think a Natural Groceries/Whole Foods type place but local. Super tasty hot-line buffet and salad. The butcher will tailor your ground meat fat percentages as well. A great alternative to the fine eateries in town.

Very expensive, but only place in town that has the kind of organic and speciality foods your looking for.

Large store with great selection, like a mini Whole Foods, but locally owned and managed.. Also a salad bar and freshly prepared food in the in store cafe. Also fresh baked goods with a good gluten free selection. Everyone was friendly too.

Well I am a bit upset when offered a rewards card before I paid the 403.00 in groceries. My basket was FULL!AND the checkout girl said no on your next purchase.....before I paid for the full basket already checked. I even ordered 300 bucks worth of beef. So I guess Ill be canceling that too & shop else where.I know your not Safeway... But the honer rewards as soon as you buy something.Thanks for the dumb excuse of why...which was I dont know.

Winter Ridge is a great place to shop for local, healthy food. It is also a great place to grab a bite to eat. Lots of gluten-free options including a bakery with gluten-free goodies. There is a small eating area as well. You can find grass fed beef, locally produced raw milk and organic fruit!

Three stars for carrying local raw milk.We tried some of the baked sweets...all are too sweet and leave an after taste.The prices are high but all in all, an interesting store.
