I’ve had same Service Rep for years, but he retired. My new Service Rep, Mr. Angelo Gomez, was absolutely professional in every respect: friendly, patient, understanding, and so very knowledgeable about every question I had. I was totally at ease and confident from the beginning.The follow-up was quick and most responsive, and the service was done to my satisfaction. I was concerned about the new change of ownership, but Mr. Gomez and the Service Team have put my mind at rest. After 21 years of great service w/Mercedes Benz of Marin, I am happy to stay with MB of Marin (and hopefully Mr. Gomez!) for another 21 years!

I am absolutely stunned. I came in for a 50,000 mile scheduled maintenance guy was sold a $2500 three-year maintenance program. In addition I was told I needed to new back tires and they would sell me two of “the same tires I have” (Continental sport tires) at $650, and could install them the same day. As I have my preferred tire retailer (that is all they do is tires) I declined getting the tires. I was just informed by my tire professional that all four of my tires are in near perfect condition with a conservative minimum of 12,000 miles left on them!! They are also Michelin tires - NOT what MBZ tried to sell me!!!
Wonderful experience. Came in to have a diagnostic test done on my 2007 eclass 350.Received expert service from George and the service department actually fixed the issue with my check engine light during the diagnostic test. Will definitely go back in the future.

I say all of this because I really want to impress on everyone the truthfulness of what I am about to say. This past Saturday I went into Mercedes Benz of San Rafael to return a leased car. I entered that building with absolutely no idea what I wanted to do. Beware before making your mind to purchase Mercedes from Marin dealership… people like Jared Ivey (sales manager) is so rude… Finance team they will never ever respond to you it does not matter how many times you left the voice message. I really had bad experience, it all happened because i asked few questions regarding my loan and the sales manager he rudely yell on me and asked me go out of the showroom…. just because he does not have answer… finally after all this incident i escalated to higher management and they did investigation of my case and they found many glitches and acknowledge me properly….Higher management is really good but the problem is, to purchase the car or getting ur loan paper work u need to deal with people like Jared not with higher management so beware when u deal with them and dont dare to ask any of your doubts else he might ask to get out from the showroom…

Me and my brother flew from Texas to buy a SUV that was for sale that we saw on car gurus, we were assured by the sales representative that the condition of the tires on the suv was in good condition, we flew all the way to buy the suv, just to find out the tires were in horrible condition. At that times she contacted her manager to see if they could accommodate us and get us two new tires as we were misled, the manager kind of a had a bad attitude and said he would not do anything to resolve the problem. Traci was very helpful. I was there to get my car checked and they ended up not charging me the diagnostic fee because they couldn’t find the problem but it’s running fine and the light has not come up. I am always was very pleased with their service.

Very sad. Great service in the past when Penske owned the dealership. Change to Swickard ownership has sent everything into a tailspin. Short staffed and everyone is scrambling to get their jobs done and the customers are left hanging. Staff that is there are good and trying hard, but when a customer can’t get around because their service is late or inconsistent, we suffer and we are the ones paying top dollar for the work being done. Hope things improve SOON, but we will be taking our business elsewhere until we hear things have gotten better.

Another exceptional experience at Mercedes Benz of Marin. I was returning my loaner vehicle to exchange for my personal vehicle and discovered the service department had closed 45 minutes prior. I was never made to feel guilty or like I was inconveniencing him in any way. Ive had my previous MB for 11 years and definitely time to upgrade. I sent out a few request for a quote and Mike P from MB of Marin responded immediately. The process was hassle-free and he was very willing to listen to what I was seeing in terms of quotes. No pressure and no gimmick to give me unnecessary selling points. Quick communication and commitment on OTD number. Mike kept me in the loop throughout the whole process. Definitely will refer friends/family to him again.

My wife brought her car, a 2017 E43, for our first service since purchasing the car used from Mercedes of Marin today. I’m skeptical of any dealer and perform most maintenance and repairs on our other vehicles myself. Mercedes are known for having to have all services and repairs done by the dealership. This was one of the things that almost killed the sale.I had to work so my wife took the car in. Something else I worried about as lots of dealers give women the run around. She told me that the service advisor was friendly and helpful. The advisor, Brittany did not upsell my wife or sell us untimely services or repairs. While the car was being worked on the battery failed testing. My wife was told that the dealership would warranty the battery and order it immediately. Brittany then scheduled the appointment to install the new battery. The price quoted before the service was the total price. The waiting area was clean and quiet. It sounds like the service department was a positive experience.So far the sale of the car last May and this service A today deserves five stars.

I called, came in within 15 minutes, Brian Cho had a car ready for me to look at and took the time to find the trim I wanted while I was test driving. A few emails, quick trip in and I was on my way. The pricing was competitive with other quotes I received. Would definitely recommend shopping here!
I visited Mercedes of Marin on July 19th to purchase a spare key for my 300E. After the gentleman at the parts counter directed me to service, i was able to place my order and pay for the key. I was told the item would be ready for pickup several days later, Friday the 23rd. I returned Friday only to be told Mercedes is no longer making keys for my vehicle. Approximately two hours later, I received a call from Mercedes service advising me the key would in fact be ready for pickup the following Tuesday the 27th. Prior to my return on the 27th, I called to confirm the key had arrived. I spoke to a service representative who advised me it was in and ready for pickup. Upon my arrival, and after waiting in the service department 30 minutes, I was again told the key was not there and Mercedes was no longer making keys for my vehicle. Of course this was frustrating and I was given no viable option with which to obtain a key.Although the staff were all polite, the level of confusion and amount of wasted time was excessive. I left extremely frustrated, with no way in which to obtain a key for my car which is still unable to be driven.
Angelo is my advisor and he is always so helpful and friendly. They all take great care of me. I would recommend going to Mercedes-Benz of Marin to all my friends and family.
This is a long story, but worth the read. I got in touch with MB of Marin on 7/27 regarding a specific certified 2018 GLS 450 ( StockNumber : JB072816P ), I got a response a few hours later from Rick Maxa ( MB e-commerce team ) letting me know that it was available for $48k+. 3 days later, I looked it up again in their website, this time the price went up to $53k+. I emailed Rick and asked if the vehicle was still available at the price that they quoted me, he responded that that the price went up a bit but when I come in to purchase it, they would honor the quote. I responded that we will coming in the next day 7/31. When my wife and I got in last Saturday, we waited a bit since there were quite a lot of customers, so we understood that it was a busy time. I asked one of the staff if Rick was around and I was informed that he is not in the facility but in the main office where the ecommerce team is located- anyways, we were introduced to Michelle. I mentioned to Michelle that we would like to look at a specific certified preowned 2018 GLS 450. We showed her the stock number and the quote, she said that she’ll be back to look for it. Came back a few minutes later and informed us that that car was sold that morning. We were bummed, but Michelle offered us another GLS 450 but was not certified- in short, we purchsed that GLS but had to pay extra for extended warranty and it had more miles than the other car. We came back the next day to turn in the second key of our previous car that we traded in, and as we were about to park, I recognized the GLS parked in front of the dealership as the car we were hoping to buy!!!! What a coincidence! We didn’t mention to Michelle taht we saw the car since we didn’t want to cause a scene. As of this writing, ( 8/6 ) the “sold “ car is still on their website for sale at $53k+I am not sure as to why they didn’t want to sell us the car ( reneging on their quote, other reason only they know ), but SWICKARD TEAM, this is not the best way to do business, and I am not sure if you’ll be getting a lot of customers if you keep this up. This dealership is only about making money. I ordered a new Mercedes and when it came in they tried to low ball me on the trade amount they promised without reducing the price of the new car. Was a very unpleasant and aggravating experience. I will never buy another Mercedes.

The very best part about Frank is the test driving experience! He was a race car driving for several years and boy can you tell! He handles the road like no other! I took my car for a yearly service. When I picked it up. The grease was all over my car. They did not even wash it. Even though the invoice said it included a complimentary car watch.It was very disappointing experience.
The price I paid was 30 percent higher than what I was quoted. I understand that the purpose of the service visit was to diagnose problems, but I feel that the final price was too much!
