Clint and his staff are professionals and service my TR6 like it is their own.
Olivia is very pleasant to work with. I was only dropping off a vehicle and picking it up for someone else. Staff was very helpful and suggested a different car shop to do the work as it was a japanese model.
Super easy to talk to. And very knowledgeable and fastidious. Really glad I found um. ☺
Clint and his team are amazing! Clint is a brilliant mechanic, who was able to repair things that no other mechanic could. My husband Troy and I exclusively went to British Car Repair for nearly a decade for our 1970 Jaguar E-Type. Before we found Clint, we had a few unfortunate experiences with less qualified shops. We weren’t sure we could keep our beloved E-Type until we found British Car Repair in 2009. Clint kept our Jaguar in excellent repair and running perfectly. He is honest, very knowledgeable, and the best mechanic we have ever had!!! We very much appreciate his service over the years, and we always received exceptional help from Karen and Olivia. Thank you Clint!
Extremely talented and easy to talk to. 3 generations in the same place same quality same care.
Excellent job replacing my breaks and master cylinder, friendly staff, good service
British Car Repair is always knowledgeable. Very helpful! The staff is great!
Professional, knowledgable. Shop floor is incredibly clean, and some of the cars in here are worth the price of admission. Incredibly fare hourly wage, fantastic work. I took an F-Type to install a short shifter.... he did a great job. Were a UK car family, so next well add the mini to the mix.... so I believe weve found ourselves a new mechanic. THANKS ED! Also... after his work he sends a small postcard how can I improve; how was your experience?, which shows a phenomenal dedication to his craft, and always improving, with an open mind. Love this shop!
Weve been taking our Jag to Clint ever since the Jag dealer wanted to sell us two new airshocks at an exorbitant price. Clint not only found compatible parts at half the price, but he also told us that only one of the old ones was leaking. He recommended changing only that one and seeing how the car drove before addressing the other. The repair and all succeeding repairs were done expertly and timely, and I always found his advice to be honest and straight forward. I recommend him without reservation.
Clint is always accommodating and honest. Although I personally feel the labor rates are a touch high, you will always have a pleasant experience at this British repair shop. If you are waiting, Pier 15 is a 3 minute walk.
Two reviews -- 5 months apart:April 2016: Clint has been taking care of our aging land rover for the last 10 years. He and his lead mechanic are well versed in British cars, thorough in their examination to find the underlying problems, and charge fair prices. Clint is always looking for ways to resolve the issues and provides very unique and innovative solutions that work (particularly when the standard ones dont). I would wholeheartedly recommend his services to any British car owner.October 2016: An update to my April review: In September, my aging land rover died just shy of Greenbrae with my two dogs (200lbs), bags of groceries and me in the car. (There was a loose wire creating a drain on my new battery, which has been resolved.) Was completely panicked as I live in Mill Valley and had no way to get my dogs and me back to home (no tow truck will tow animals in cars and Uber wont take pets). Called Clint, who sent one of his great staff to my location and replaced my drained battery with a new one, allowing me to drive home, offload my canines and then drive my car back to his shop. After thanking him profusely for going out of his way to help me, his response to me was the following: I just imagined if it was my wife who was stranded like you were. Enough said. A summation of the calibre of his business and his personal and business ethics.
Clint and company know their British cars. They are especially strong with older cars, where its not just a question of swapping out parts, and real expertise is required to get everything humming along. I reserve five stars when a car wash and scented dangly thingy is included in the service, but they really deserve five. Got a ride back to my office in a classic 60s Austin Healey - great fun.
This team knows all about Land Rovers. Also Clint the owner is very honest and will never talk you into unnecessary repairs. Very highly recommended!
Knowledgeable mechanics and great service. Make an appointment as there is a wait.
