Everything at the Westborough is in all different places. Very hard to shop when you have to go down every aisle to find something. The deli really needs help and staff trained how to ring things up especially the special meals. I was overcharged almost $20 from the deli and went the next day for an adjustment. I thought that when youre overcharged that you get a gift card for catching their error. Never offered a gift card or an apology on the overcharge. People, always look at your receipts! This is the second big error I found.

The worse one ever. The staff here are unfriendly, unhelpful. And have such BIG ATTITUDE. there this man NELSON don t know what kind of position is he, but that man should let go from there. He give the store bad reputation. The way hes approach to you like he is want to attack you and to kill you or something. With that kind of people working as customer service like that should just stay home. They will give you a bad name. Lots of people I talked to that goes here they said the same thing hes rude and no character whatsoever. If i can give no STAR I would .

Large chained store with lots of everyday grocery items. They also sell cleaning supplies and some over the counter meds, some common tools. And also liquors beers wines and ice cream etc.Most amazingly, many locations open 24x7! Staffs are super friendly.They sell mostly american stuff. So if you are looking for Korean, Japanese or Chinese food, go to Asian market.

Safeway at Crystal Springs (San Mateo) is a nice, cozy, well stocked grocery store. Its smaller than many Safeways. Clean. Slightly upscale and decent variety of staples.

Friendly Guest Service

Id give this Safeway five stars (4.5 is the most accurate), except for the prices. Its not a place for great savings. However, its a safe place for everyone. The parking lot is always clean, parking is easy and I think there are few to no problems in the parking lot. The store is very clean, and its well-ventilated. It has a great selection of meats, cheeses, bakery items and everything else for the serious grocery shopper. The produce section is particularly well-stocked with a great variety of vegetables, including organic products, and I have many times seen exotic fruits for sale as well. I like this Safeway owing to the factors already mentioned, but in addition, the employees are super friendly and helpful. The customers Ive seen there also have a tendency to be on the friendly and polite side. I enjoy my visits to this Safeway every time I go there.

The workers were super helpful n helped me find the breakfast hot pockets. They arent n breakfast there by the hot pockets

I used to shop here quite frequently, but the staff isnt as friendly as in recent years. The evening Starbucks barista rudely snapped an empty garbage bag liner in my direction as he was closing up several nights ago (I was utilizing the self check kiosk next to the exit gate) and he let the garbage bags he was carrying rub against the back of my calves without apologizing or making any effort to make room for me.

If youre going into the Boars Head Deli. Expect a 30 minute wait for a sandwich. I was late going back into work because of how slow it was. I didnt even get my sandwich, because there was a person ahead of me. I settled for a premade meal instead. I shouldve gone to a Subway.

Of all the Safeways we shop at, I think this might be my favorite. Kind of a hidden gem. But beware, I think its a bit smaller so you cant always find everything you might find at a larger store.

Local neighborhood Safeway, it is not like your typical large chain Safeway. It is much more friendlier.

This is my favorite grocery store in my area, great service, everyone friendly. I love the flowers and the deep discounts you get on liquor and so many other items with the Safeway discount (which also gives a discount at the Chevron across the street). The parking can be a little tight so pay attention to Lane directions, drive slow and watch for people. Very convenient store.

This is a very adorable supermarket. The products have great prices and their product selection is superb. Highly recommend.

Fully stocked and clean

The staff here are unfriendly, unhelpful, and even berated me harshly twice in one shopping visit for not knowing I could not bring in my own shopping bags.They leave carts and boxes blocking entire aisles when the store is open and the stockers often sit on the floor and keep you from being able to go down aisles.When you ask the cashier and bagger to make your bags equal weight and not more than a few items per bag, they ignore you and put everything in one heavy bag.A very unpleasant experience to shop. And, it was like this before shelter in place.

Great variety of products. The store is very clean and is well kept. Their stock is usually fantastic. The check-in and checkout was very easy and faster.

Quick in and out, got everything I needed. This was at 4pm on a Sunday mind you.

No lines to enter, shoppers practice social distancing, no shortage of anything.

This store is great compared to the one in Half Moon Bay.

The best Safeway in the universe

Medium-sized Safeway store. Pleasant and clean inside. Nice floral and deli areas. No Self Checkout counters, so checking out can take a while, which is why I give it 4 stars.

Nice neighborhood location. Sufficient parking. Its smaller than the typical Safeway, doesnt have any self service check out and is not always stocked very well.Otherwise, a good and conveniently located supermarket for everyday stuff.

Cool place at Crystal Springs

Best Safeway Ive ever been to. Veggies are fresh and the fruit is not rotten like the Safeway I sometimes go to. I go out of my way to come here from SF on my way home from PA.

Mediocre customer service.

This store is consistently very very slow at check out. I decided to give them another try as I live within a mile. It was a bad choice. I wanted one item, there were 2i customers standing in 2 lines and neither checker was making any attempt to alue customers time. One line halfway down an aisle toward the vack of the store, the other line wrapped sideways toward the west door. Go to Piazzas

Marco is a super cool dude and helped me when I needed it. Im going to be a lifetime customer thanks to Marco! He definitely deserves a raise!

This Safeway is just the right size. Not huge, but big enough to have all the main features youve come to expect from a Safeway (e.g. deli, produce section, fresh meat and seafood). The store also has a great floral department with ready to go arrangements.

Nice and helpful employees

Four San Mateo police officers just asked me multiple questions in the parking lot at 1:45 am. Off. Pena was most professional and well meaning. Hope they dont think Im the go home nerd artist. Ive shopped here since they had a T.V. tube tester in the store.

OK Safeway but pretty small. Theres a lot they dont carry. Theyve taken to blocking the aisles with too many displays and its becoming worse every day. Actually knocked one over that use put right at the edge of where you put your groceries to check out. Very, very annoying thats been happening since Safeway was sold. They have a butcher shop but the butcher is often not there and closes early. They have a bakery and deli which are both OK. Nice fruits and vegetables selection. I go there because its convenient. If there were another store around here that wasnt super-expensive Id go there.

Apparently they sell endives

I thought this store was dirty. Produce was not fresh. Found rotten tomatoes on shelf when shopping. Produce bag dispensers were either empty or in disrepair. Had to use restroom when there and it was disgusting. Ive seen cleaner gas station bathrooms! No soap to wash hands. No towels. Garbage all over the floor. . Makes me wonder about what the employees are doing. It was enough for me to leave and go shop somewhere else.

This store is bad, needs new mangers and more cashiers. The service at this facilities is horrible. The store is not as clean and organized. Rotten food on shelves.This store has been better. Service and quality of food has improved a lot.

Had everything i was looking for.

One of my go-to Safeway stores. A lot of organic veggies and specialty items that I dont always find at other Safeways.

I bought a pack of potato. But the quarter of potato have been rotten away, and have sticky smell.

The Safeway on Ralston and Alameda in Belmont has gone downhill since Albertsons purchased the chain. The stock on the shelveds is often low and they do not carry many items I purchase regularly. The produce department does not have very fresh vegetabkes/fruit in my view. They are always short handed and often have no bag people to help me out with groceries to my car! There is always a long line and no one cares.😧

Smaller Safeway, but generally seems to have everything. Only thing Ive noticed they havent had regularly in the past are the big 6-pack chicken breasts, but think I saw them last time I was there. If youre here at the wrong time, though, it can take 20 minutes to get checked out. Seem understaffed at times.

I hate shopping at this Safeway.i used to shop here for years but over this past year the service and quality has gone down the drain. Be prepared to stand in a line that takes 30-40 minutes because they only have 1 checker. The produce extremely nasty and already rotting. The employees are all new and not customer friendly and very rude. Steer clear of this safeway and go to a different one at all cost.

It is a small market, confortable for kids and safe. Parking is simple but not many shadows.

They should keep all there bottled water inside the store

This Safeway location has a weird problem. It is larger than the one on the corner of Alameda and Ralston, but in 90% of the times I was there the lines were horrid, and only very few cashiers were available. :(
