The only thing about this donut shop thats bad is the parking space, it can get really busy and you might even get blocked in. Otherwise its really good quality donuts. Ive been coming here since i was a kid in the 90s (back tgen it was called Wild Bills Donuts) and while the name has changed its still just as good, if not better, then it was back then. They have a wide variety to choose from and the best donut holes Ive ever had! The price has gone up over this last year, just like it has everywhere, but it is definitely worth it.

Best maple custard bars anywhere!! I now live in Palm Springs and I swear I want to drive the 7 hours for a maple bar! It tastes like real maple - not brown sugar. In the past, they fill the bar with fresh custard from the fridge while you wait - just a moment.They use good chocolates and use the same recipes for donuts that have been keeping us coming forever!Have been coming here for years! Service good and friendly!Hang in there!

A small local shop that does good. Truthfully Ive never been to a Dunkin Donuts but I dont see how they could compare. Golden Bell donuts are always fresh and delightful. Service was great and staff super friendly and attentive. I highly recommended this place. Must try.

This is a mom and pop run business. They have 2 sons that work there as well. They are very friendly and always make small chat with my children and give them a donut hole on a stick. Their donuts are delicious.

Best donuts on the Pennisula! Family owned, and the family is wonderful. If you can get their in the early AM the donuts are fresh and hot. Ive never had bad service or a bad donut. Cant say enough good things about the owners and the delicious donuts they make. Writing this review makes me want their donuts more then ever. I know what Im having for breakfast tomorrow!

We love Golden Bell and go here every Saturday. Theres usually a line and you might have to park across the street, but we happily do so because they have great donuts and are super friendly. Love Golden Bell donuts!

The most fresh, fluffy and delicious donuts i have ever had! And the staff is so friendly ! My husbsnd and i like to visit them at 5/6 am on our all nighters as a fun and spontaneous little date! We live so close that we walk there and enjoy the sunrise! Love!

Delicious, especially if you get there early while theyre still hot. I had to drop someone off for an early flight and was taking the scenic route home when I remembered that Id been meaning to check this place out and it was open early. The reception you get when you walk in the door at breakfast time with warm fragrant doughnuts in your hands is like no other...even the Grinch would let the corners of his mouth perk up if he could experience these glorious frybabies!But dont take my word for it, check them out yourself! They have a great location, close to 101, downtown San Mateo, and Foster City; just know that the parking lot is small and tight so you might consider street parking nearby if youre not making a pre-dawn pastry run like I was (its a commercial-ish area so can seem sketchy at night because there isnt much foot traffic). I would keep it a secret but if the owners get enough new business, they might upgrade to a location with more parking 😉.

Cambodian family are the proprietors and are super friendly, helpful and kind. Tiny parking lot which is tough to get out of (10 stalls). Their doughnuts are fresh, made in the wee hours. Been there twice in the past couple of weeks finding their doughnuts average. Nothing spectacular. Serve serve coffee station along south wall that reminds me of 7-Eleven stuff. Ordinary coffee. 4 itty-bitty tables if you want to hang out for a bit. If I was driving a car, not sure if I would go through the hassle of stopping since their product, in my view, is very average. S/S there is no problem with parking lot congestion. They open 5a daily including S/S.
