Ive done two deliveries here. Its not an easy spot to deliver frieght. Theres usually parking down the street but the pallets are generally lite. The store is SUPER cute! Just about everything you could need for baking. Theres even super awesome aprons! They were cooking brownies in the back. Smelled great. The staff is always friendly and I even got some tips for my cookies!

A very nice bakers supplies shop with lots of selections, including flours, chocolates, molds, etc. They also have a classroom in the back, not very large. Came here for a croissant class. The class was okay, hands on, but couldnt actually bake our dough because of time limitation 😣.

This is such a cute and well stocked shop. They have everything you need from pans, utensils, and cookie cutters to flavorings, gourmet chocolate/cocoa, and a rainbow of sprinkles. The staff is super friendly and the prices are really reasonable for a locally owned boutique baking shop. Stop in and pick up something nice for the baking fanatic in your life, the wont be disappointed!

Amazing Place !I been wanting to visit this place for while & I finally did . I traveled from Salinas to San Mateo for this amazing place, & i don’t regret it haha . The guy was so helpful & so nice (if you see this thank you for being so helpful & nice) . You can find so much things you need for baking if you ever need something real quick for your small business :) anything like baking tools, chocolate, food coloring, cookie cutters, sprinkles, pans, molds etc . & you are local and not far like me 😅 you could totally rely on this place ! & Also don’t forget when your a about to pay you need to get their one & only fudge brownie . My sister bought one & my mom & family friends tried it & we loved it . So we went back in & bought like 6 more 😂 .

Finally visited this week after moving to San Mateo. Very organized, clean and the gentleman behind the counter was very help for anyone who needed guidance. They definitely have a good amount of specialty items for professional product. I havent seen Belgian liege waffle sugar crystals at any stores except for this one. I snagged some nice bakeware and baking cups for my mooncakes.

I attended the special occasion cookie decorating class here. Although the cookies and icing were already made when we arrived, the class was fun. He taught us different icing techniques for cookies and then we got to take our cookies home. I can’t wait to take another class here.

You will find anything you need to bake and they even have baking classes.. One of my favorite places to visit.i would give it more stars but im only allow 5

They won’t let you bring an infant in to the store without wearing a mask, so I was forced to shop elsewhere.

Its a cooking school / cooking supply storeI go because by the cash register they sell whatever it is theyve been baking. Sometimes its frosted cookies, sometimes its fudge brownies.

What an amazing little place tucked away in downtown San Mateo! It has a wide variety of cake decorating supplies at very reasonable prices. The store is bigger than it looks with a good sized teaching kitchen in the back. Everything was clean and nicely arranged. The owner was friendly, helpful, and approachable. I would love to go back and take a class there!

Its good to have a place like Baking Arts in the area. It smells like the finest French patisserie. Everytime when I go there, I get all I need and even more. Richard always gives me priceless professional advice on whats better to use for each particular sweet project. I like variety and quality of products there and price is reasonable. Some products are even cheaper than online. Highly recommend to check out this place if you are a cake artist like myself. They even offer classes and I cant wait to learn new techniques from experienced bakers.

I am so glad that my daughter signed us up of for the “Buttercream Flower Cupcakes” class, as I enjoyed it a lot. First of all, walking into Baking Arts was like a child walking into a toy store - so many things I wanted and needed :). Second, thank you Rich for sharing your skills and teaching me how to make such pretty flowers, although I need more practice. I look forward to signing up for more classes in the near future.

A really nice blend of baking shop and a place to learn baking!

I took a Baking Arts class for making French macarons, those delicate little cookies with rich, smooth fillings. I never thought I would be able to make them from scratch..it seemed impossible at first but everything turned out great. The lesson was really fun and went at a decent pace. The teacher walked us through each step thoroughly, which is especially helpful for those who were baking for the first time. I still cant believe I made them!This is the place to go if you need any baking equipment or expert advice. These guys are masters and are super friendly!

Great place, astonishing staff and very good selection of tools

Stumbled into this place by accident and found it to be a bakers heaven. Shelves filled with baking supplies. A simple and modern interior with a few tables that greet you with innovative decorations that you can add onto your cookies/cakes. They make and sell their own Royal Icing! Amazing. In the back they have a space where they teach almost daily classes on a variety of topics like how to make croissants.

Recently did the croissant baking class and had a blast. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
