Lacks good organization. Buyers could find better quality with some of their products. Some basic products have been out of stock for weeks....

First time at this location, everyone was helpful and it wasnt packed for the 4th! Yet. Found everything I needed and a few extras for the holidays. Cashier was friendly, didnt care for my receipt to be checked at end but not surprised. Okay store might shop there again if in vicinity.

Everything is locked down, which is fine. But try to find someone with a key . . . Plan to spend 45 minutes. Amazon delivers faster than their associates can move from one side of the store to the other.

I was impressed that many over-the-counter items I normally purchase at CVS were much cheaper!

Its nice to have a superstore close, but the selection is pretty limited. There is almost no produce, and other products (groceries, cleaning products, clothes, craft supplies, hardware) are almost like highlights of Walmart rather than a full selection. However, the customer service at this store has always been very friendly and willing to help when I have needed to return something. When I need selection, I prefer to go to Poway or vista. When I need customer service, I prefer to go here.

I enjoy my trips to walmart. I spend about two hours shopping. They always have new products to buy. And thats exactly what I do.

Really disappointed. Im used to a Superstore and may be judging unfairly, but the lack of a meat or produce department(s) was really aggravating. Also, the selection of any other products was minimal. Trader Joes has a better selection than this store.

Just purchased new lenses for 2 pair of my glasses,as week a a complete new pair of glasses and another new set of lenses in frames we already owned. They were done very well, the staff was very helpful in explaining the different transition lenses that we could choose.

Always get what I need at a good price!

This area has a lot of elderly. Since I live in LA and was working with an elderly as I am a caregiver, I stopped inside with my client to get some food. All I can say is, all the elderly women jumped in the aisle I was in and they were all asking how they could get someone like me to help them shop and carry it to their car like I was doing for my client lol. I think some were cougars 😂. Just Kidding. Overall it is a very chill and peaceful store. Not too busy. Great friendly staff and great service. 5 stars!

Dont expect to have someone help you. NO customer service! Make sure you check your receipt before you leave the store. They stock things in the wrong place. So you might be over charged.

This is the worst place ever. My niece got lost in the store n asked an employee for help. He took her to the place n left her there by herself. A man came asked her if he can help her ( luckily she didn’t go with him). Another elder couple came offered help n took her to us. I tried to call the manager but no answers. Unbelievable

San Marcos Wal-Mart is one of my favorites over 80% of the ones I have been in, in Southern California. Granted some of the ones out of state like in Washington, are even better. Most of the employees at the SM Wal-Mart are super helpful, and are willing to help if asked. Like all stores these days you will find a few who will ignore you. Customer service is not what it used be.It is bigger than Escondido Wal-Mart, but if you are looking for Vitamins, frozen goods, when the trucks are able to deliver, then you will find those items at the Escondido Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market on Ash and E. Valley Pkwy.

This is actually a more peaceful Walmart with a nice variety of different items. Of all the Walmarts Ive visited, this is my favorite! And they have an L&Ls inside rather than a McDonalds or Burger King chain

I went to USPS to get an unpadded large envelope. they didnt have it! then I went to I believe it was postal annex Im not certain but it was in the shopping center of Costco where costco right around there in San Marcos if Im not mistaken or part of Escondido maybe it is and they were going to charge me $2.75 for each envelope so for three of them the guy wanted to charge me eight something!! I said no way! I walked away! went to Walmart right around the same area I paid $3 even for six of them! Thats why they get five stars! thank you Walmart!

Worst customer service. Showed up to pick up an item and nobody comes out. Tried calling the store phone number and nobody picks up AT ANY DEPARTMENT. So disappointed. Its ridiculous how bad it is. I give it negative -5 stars.

Avoid this one, Management consisted of one mouthy 20-something. When I went in to buy paint and needed help, I pressed the help button 3 times and got no response, Went to customer service to complain, and got a manager who responded that he went there and I was gone, like it was my fault. We literally live right across the street from this store and I will NEVER shop there againI

Good ol Walmart 👍They had what I needed for dirt cheap.Wasnt very crowded, people were wearing masks and abiding by the mandate.Line was pretty short as well, was able to get in and out.Any basic needs: grocery, clothes, electronics, tools, sporting goods, toys, books, kitchen items..... You name it, and they probably have it for cheaper than anyone else.

You are required to wear a mask at this store and seemingly everyone was cooperative. this store is clean and well organized, that is stuff isnt all over the place like clothes for instance. the staff is very cordial and helpful.

One of the worst experiences of racial profiling that I have had happen to me. I was tracked, followed, and then had multiple workers approach me as I paid and exited the store. Then I was asked for me receipt to be viewed by store personnel. This is not a membership store, I didnt steal or even look like I attempted to. This must be presented to the public and corrected. Unfriendly and disrespectful.

Thank you walmart. You dont even understand. Parents with kids with ADHD know.

Great place to get what u need and friendly employees

The San Marcos Walmart is large and relatively clean, but I have never seen such unreliable customer service. Twice this month I have placed orders for next-day Pickup, received no email confirmation, no contact that my order was ready, and no one answering the phone in Pickup or any other department. When I went to the store 2 days after the promised Pickup time, there was no one at the Pickup counter, and when entering my order number (luckily found in the order history on my online account) I received a your order is not ready, please wait for us to contact you message.

Ive been trying to find gummy candy but Walmart is always out of stock

The attire of some customers left me speechless and I am not one who generally lacks for words. Not a place you want to bring children old enough to require an explanation for what they may see being worn by others.

Big and complete store and is near to Costco and Kohls

I shop at the Eacondido store so often since its near my home so when iwalk into San Marcos Walmart Im always shop in awe of their selection and just the shear volume of merchandise they have. I love this store. Im also happier with their customer service there. They will give you cash back on debit as where Escondido will not and i hate that.

Disappointing. 2 electric scooters for disabled. I ask two separate employees where I can find San Diego Padres shirts. One said, I dont know the second one said uh if we have any they will be back in sporting good so this disabled guy wobbled back to the far corner of the store. Nothing.... nada. So I have to wonder what person does the purchasing for San Diego county Walmarts? The city is buzzing over the Padres, and this store in San Marcos has nothing! Very dissatisfied with this location. Wont come back if they cant help disabled persons or have employees that dont have answers.

Clean NOT crowded,in and out in a minute

I went to Walmart today for my first Covid19 vaccine. I have to say it was easy and not crowed. The pharmacy staff had it together. Great job guys thank you for a great experience. Looking forward to the second shot & to get this behind me.

Many empty shelves. No one available to help. Only one manned checkout at 7 pm on a Saturday night. This forces you to use the self-checkout. But there were 2 people manning the self check to make sure you dont steal anything and 2 security guards at front door.Poor use of resources.

Holy HELL the customer service here is ATROCIOUS. Nobody knows where anything is, everyone looks like they’d rather die than help you, and on the off chance they DO know about a product good luck having them come with you and help you out, they’re so quick to get you out of their sight they might as well have shirts on that say “Don’t talk to me.”

The place was empty of products, trash everywhere, no staff to get locked up items and staff was incompetent and rude both at check out and in electronics.

Oh my god. I had the same experience with bad customer service. My pick up order said it was going to be delayed. It was supposed to be ready after 12pm. Still haven’t heard from them and it’s the end of the day. They don’t pick up the phone at the pick up counter either.Update: I went to pick up my order the following day and they said they didn’t have two items. When I got home I got an email stating they charged me for the items I “picked up”. I looked on the website and they did have those items in stock. Be careful when you pick things up. They will rip you off!!!

After months and months of captivity, the cheap makeup items where screaming to be finally freed from their yellow shirt captor. Why are the $6 products locked up and guarded so tightly? Lock and key as well as security cameras and monitors will surely keep these dangerous products away from the tired faces of the Wal-Mart shoppers. Well not these tired faces! Lead to believe that a Push for Help button could free these products, we were unknowingly waiting for a fabled helper. But that helper was never to be seen. Deciding to team up in order to free the cheap makeup, we were joined by a middle-aged man reluctantly waiting for his wife as well as a single damsel in makeup distress. What seemed like days waiting for help, we split up and scouted the aisles for the fictitious yellow-shirt key holder. But what about the button? We pressed the button! It has to be a decoy. The Press for Help button was pressed many times, by many people, yet no help was to be found. Our team of makeup crusaders were determined to track down the one and only person in the entire store who was assigned to guard us from this cheap makeup. Ill search the next aisle said the man. Ill try to track someone else down said the lady. We stayed in the aisle, hoping that someone would eventually show up. They had to show up, right? The store had closing hours after all. Would they really deny people of their makeup? Maybe the makeup is actually that dangerous and they are doing us all a favor by keeping it under lock and key. Well, after what seemed like days we were finally able to locate the mythical yellow shirt key holder. As we were quite surprised and excited that she would actually show up to free the makeup, she exclaimed Well somebody better go. It was not the time to be kind to our fellow helpers. The yellow-shirt could not be troubled to wait for us to determine who needed the makeup case opened first. We grabbed our $6 product (actually two of them because we didnt want to ever wait again for the never-to-show yellow shirt) and threw it in our cart right next to our $20 worth of cat litter. Why was our expensive cat litter not locked up, destined to live a life behind lock and key like the makeup? I guess thats a question for another day. We took our small Wal-Mart victory and left to fight for another day.

I love browsing Walmart...you generally find the same products here at a lower price. My sister and I were in the fabric area at the Vista location. No one was manning it so we buzzed for service. A gentleman assisted us who didnt seem to want to be there assisting us, there was no friendliness. We couldnt engage him, even to our Thank You. Either he didnt want to be there or just didnt like us. Or Walmarts understaffed.

Horrible! I made one single purchase and they lost my order but they got my money!...i had to cancel my order for a refund which took 46 minutes of my life I cant get back. Hate to say it but Amazon is king ....

If youve never shopped at this Wal-Mart before, it will be a little tricky locating hand lotion and other items. The staff is often busy, but when you locate one, youll notice theyre friendly and helpful.

It is my local Walmart which I visit frequently it has all the Necessities that I need for food in clothing and itronics and Home Furnishing along with tools. If I need more specific Parts this is my destination nor that their target market in my opinion. Out of all the Walmarts that I visited this is in the top 20% so I gave it for stars. I didnt get it 5 stars because it is not one of the Walmarts with the best selection.

Only 2 registers open on a Sunday afternoon.5 to 7 people I both lines. Self check out had a line forming to.one man waited 40 minutes after they paged some one to sporting goods .this is not exceptable...

This location is huge. There are usually a lot of people here, but it never really seems crowded. The items they carry are almost always in stock and the employees are more than willing to order and hold items that are out of stock for you if you ask. The place is clean and well kept. I recommend this location over others in the North County area.

Looked for AXE GOLD CITRON BODY SPRAY, and although the website showed it was available, there was no place for it on the shelf.I asked two employees who were in the same aisle stocking products, and I got no satisfactory answer from themThey took very little time to look before saying..were out. It seems like a relatively new and well organized walmart.

My go to store for everything from back to school supplies to the freshest holiday candies to electronics to household goods.

Its not too bad I suppose if youre jist grabbing items off a shelve and throwing them in your cart. Unfortunately if you have to wait for someone to unlock a case for something like boots or paint, goodluck. I have waited around for close to 15 minutes to get someone to help me after pushing the Customer Needs Assistance button, multiple times. This cam be very frustrating since every single time Ive had to either walk around and find someone to open a case for me, or just leave and try to buy the item at a later date. One thing I do like about this location is how many self checkout kiosks they have available. I have yet to have to wait in order to check myself out at a self serve kiosk and if you need assistance at the kiosk they are very quick at the process.

With the cameras outside, it becomes a much more secure place to park and it was nice to see the girl scouts out there selling their wares.
