Took my bike in for a needed tuneup. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. My bike was ready sooner than promised.

The service tech was very thorough and tested my bikes and pulled out the replacement parts on the spot so I knew what was required and what it would cost before I left the store. The service was completed within the time estimated, and the bikes are working great. So much better than many other bike shops these days. Nice job Trek!

I have been very happy with all three bikes I purchased from this store (A Slash and two Cannondales). Even better is the fact that whenever I have needed service, an adjustment or some advice on my bikes, I can count on the people at Trek North County. I appreciate that they are a no-nonsense bike shop. No unnecessary upsell, unless it will benefit the bike or rider. This is my bike shop for now and the future.

Ian was great! He answered all my questions and asked great questions to make sure I was getting the right bike. I was extremely impressed with the selection of bikes in the store. It was great to get out and take a test ride at my own pace. Nobody was watching me or pressuring me to finish my test ride. I had plenty of time to ride around and test the bike. I travelled one and a half hours to this store because they had the bikes I was looking for.

Excellent bike store in San Marcos. I bought my Trek two years ago and have had no problems with it. The sales process was informative but not pushy. If youre looking for an excellent bike then Trek should be at the top of your list.

I had an awesome experience at Trek Bicycle North County! Ryan was extremely knowledgeable and patient. He answered all of my questions and helped me find the mountain bike that was right for me. When my bike came in Ryan worked diligently to make sure I was completely satisfied. My new Trek Marlin 8 bike is amazing! I have had it for a month and I am so glad I got it. Pretty good service staff with mostly excellent interactions. A couple of questionable experiences, but overall good. Ian, the store manager, is a great guy and is very reasonable. A slight bit on the pricy side.

I visited this store with my wife with roughly 15 mins left until closing. I was greeted by Ryan, who was very helpful and very informative. He had a great all around attitude. Although they didnt have the bike I was looking for, I was given ordering options and great advice when selecting the right bike for me and not once did he make me feel rushed out the door. We had other questions as our sons needed new bikes as well and he was very thorough in answering them. By the way, they have a pretty cool trade-in program for when your child out-grows their Trek bicycle.

I was immediately greeted when I walked in the door.Then I walked my bike back to the service department, dreading being told the adjustments I needed would require me to leave my bike and come back later. Much to my surprise there were two service techs assessing bike problems and offering quick fixes. It took about 10 minutes for the two people that arrived prior to me to be handled and then it was my turn. Chris, the Service Manager (working on a Saturday?), quickly adjusted my brakes and derailleurs. It took about 30 minutes to complete the adjustments on my bike and about 30 minutes later I was riding the SR-56 bike trail in Carmel Mountain Ranch. It is truly baffling why all bike stores dont position their service staff as Trek San Marcos does. If I didnt live 45 minutes away, I would have all my service completed at this location!

Had a newer Trek Marlin 7 and brought it in as I was a little jerky shifting gears. I was worried Id have to leave it a few days and spend a tidy sum fixing it. Chris, their head of servicing took a look knew what it was in an instant and had me on my way within 5 minute. Great store, great service, I am their customer for life!

What an awesome bike shop! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted. They were so hospitable too. I didnt feel like I was being talked down to. The layout of the store is very open and easy to find product. This was a great shopping experience. Kinda didnt feel like I was shopping, thats how cool they are. First time visit to this particular Trek shop. HUGE place with quite a bit of inventory. Very friendly and helpful staff. As a woman, I especially like the fact that they seem proactive in hiring female staff members. I mainly visit the La Mesa location, and they have 3 women on staff there.

My dealings with Trek have always been excellent. Have purchased 4 bikes there. Special orders have arrived on time or early,Trek techs have offered advice for self maintenance of my bikes

Friendly staff greeted and assisted me from the moment I walked in the door. Capable, knowledgeable, and helpful repair technician quickly accomplish a long list of needed repair and upgrades in record time. Reasonable price for repair work. Somewhat limited product inventory but that may be due to Covid-related shortages. Overall a very positive experience. I will be back, and will recommend to associates.

Brian delivered amazing customer service on the purchase of our tires for our townies. I love Trek Superstores and have purchased a lot from them in the past. Brian was able to locate tires in Wisconsin then had them delivered to a store in SD, where my daughter picked them up.He provided timely updates and quick service.

Getting your bike repaired is difficult during these unprecedented times. Many shops like this are suffering because they aren’t able to get the parts they need to repair bikes in a timely manner. I’m extremely pleased with the service I received. Once the parts were ordered, my bike was repaired quickly. I will definitely be returning for a second bike

The service on my Trek bicycle was excellent; the price was posted clearly and affordable.

I bought my first road bike. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. They assisted in every aspect of the purchase from the perfect bike for my needs to all the accessories that would be required to keep the bike going in case of an emergency. Once I settled on my bike and parts I was shown how the bike works the do’s and don’t s When shifting and riding. Lastly I got the warranty for the bike I figure if I spend 4K+ on a bike it would be beneficial to maintain and protect it. I would highly recommend the Trek Superstore team for your cycling needs.

Drove out from Tucson to pick up an FX3 Disc. Worked with Nick on the phone a couple of days before and he worked out that he would hold the bike and have it ready for pick up. At the shop he helped me pick out some accessories and had them installed and ready for me to get back on the road in no time flat! Nick went above and beyond to make this a great buying experience!

Trek San Marcos has been my go to bike shop for 15 years. The manager Ian is great with customers and his employees. The sales guys up front are informational and friendly. The guys in service James, Chris, and the team are just spot on with everything they do and recommend. I would be lost as an avid cyclist without this great bike shop. Keep up the good work.

Awesome service I was surprised. Purchased bike online for pickup. They called and said it would be a week to 2 week build time, said they would try and get it done quicker. They called the next day and it was ready. Bike had small barely noticeable scratch on it which they were completely transparent about and offered refund or discount.At the store they had strict, quick, and organized covid policies. Salesperson was great and helpful inside store as well.

Came in for a pair of spin shoes for my wife. Multiple styles available and great Black Friday sale.Got everything I needed and was out of their in 20 minutes. Extremely thorough and very friendly.I would highly recommend!!

The products speak for themselves. I have bought a bike that is amazing and a ton of accessories. It is the customer service that makes this store stand out. I made the mistake of buying a couple toddler helmets online and neither of them fit. I decided to come to the trek store and I was met at the door by Noah Pelletier. He asked me if I needed help and walked me through the different sizes for kids to make sure I bought the right sizes. I appreciated the help from beginning to end. Thank you again Noah Pelletier.

The staff are very knowledgeable and interested in meeting my needs as an avid cyclist. They are ready to make honest comparisons between Treks products and the products of Treks competitors. Their knowledge of the advantages that Treks products have over the competition boosted my confidence in my purchase decision. I especially appreciated the bicycle fit simulation device which allowed the staff member to select the bicycle size that would maximize the fitness impact of my cycling routine.

Always great service. No retail establishment has been spared the difficulties of staying open during Covid.But no question these folks are doing it right. They were SUPER fast in responding via text message on a basic inventory question I had. Plus everyone on staff understands that riding and bikes in general are a way of life for most of us.

I called around looking for a specific Trek bike and found North county Trek. They had one left, and were nice enough to hold it for me until arrived from Temecula. I would definitely buy again from North County Trek.

When I arrived I did appreciate that there were strict social distancing requirements in place--met outside by an employee, given a wait time, masks on, etc. I inquired about service on a month old Trek bike I purchased in Arkansas from the corporate-owned store. When I got my bike I received a card for free adjustments within the first month and a free first service. I asked the store about this and they said they would never give this out from their franchise store so they wont honor it (to be fair, he said that if the service was quick and didnt need much it would be up to the service team to just not charge me, but it would be independent of the Trek certified voucher). I recognize its a franchise, but it reflects poorly on the Trek brand and how amazing the other stores I have worked with have been. And now Im seeking out a corporate-owned Trek store that will honor my first service free voucher over them which stinks.They were plenty nice people, I just did not realize there would be a difference in service provided by corporate-owned Trek and franchise-owned Trek.

Service dept is awesome!!! Had a flat on my ebike on a Sun afternoon. Took it to another bike shop earlier in the day but I dont think they wanted to deal with removing the wheel. James got the tube changed in a flash. My husband told me Trek had a reputation as being the best at service and he was correct. Thank you James and Trek!!!

We had a lot questions and Nick answered or was able to get us answers very quickly. I placed a special order on some parts and four days later I got a call saying my parts had arrived several day early. I then went to pick them up and Ian kindly greeted me at the door and took care of me promptly. Very happy with their customer service from beginning to end.

Shopping for a bike during a pandemic can be challenging. But the staff was patient and very accommodating to ensure each customer had everything they needed during their time inside the store. They were always prompt and responsive even outside the store as they are not able to answer phone calls during this time as it has increasingly been much busy during these times. Im happy with my purchase and will be coming back for tune ups and mods.

Great service!!!One month ago, I brought a mountain bike (differenc brand) assembled by my teennagers. They could not handle well of the brakes. For safe, I brought it and the stuff tuned up all with reasonable plice. I drop it off around 2:30 Sunday and pick it up 4:00. My kids got it on the late afternoon without my worry:)In 2 weeks, I brought a unicycle that needed adjust the seat.They helped the moment and without charge. My tennager was surprise about their great service and positive vibe! I was happy I could show the great business/people while such a difficult time.Thank you

I use the Trek Superstore exclusively for all my cycling services. They are reliable and efficient. In April of 2019 they performed a detailed tune up for my road bike, which I then rode for three weeks and 1200 miles in central Italy. The bike performed flawlessly. This month they laced new rims onto my wheels. They finished the job in just over 24 hours and the wheels are arrow straight. I am a very happy customer.

Ive tried to go to this store four times since they have reopened, but yet to make it inside the store because of long lines. My last try I was very specific about two parts I needed and they only had one. I agreed to what they showed me and was just waiting for someone to come back so I could pay, but after waiting 15 minutes still no one returned. I had to leave without my part and was very frustrated with their current way of business. I understand that bike stores are very busy, but they get a zero for customer service. Go to another bike store for better luck. The trek store is way under staffed or needs to hire more people.

The selection inside is very impressive compared with many other bike stores in the area. The staff is very knowledgeable. Jon knew what I likely needed better than I did based on what I told him I wanted (I am just getting into biking). Jon was very helpful and honest, everyone I spoke with was friendly. Would buy from again, and probably will when my wife gets a bike in a few months.I ended up with a Verve 2. Solid bike for me and very comfortable - I expect it to last a long time!Update:Drew 15/10 would recommend. He was extremely knowledgeable and gave easy-to-understand and remember explanations to all of my dumb questions, and did not judge when I had stripped a bolt that held my pedal in place. He did right by us, going above and beyond the things I asked. I am sure he, and the rest of the Trek team, would do the same.

Came here to Trek for bike repair. Six (6) months into Pandemic Trek in San Marcos has the worse customer flow... its really anti customer service at its finest. Im leaving disgruntled and will never come back. .. your not the only bicycle superstore in San Marcos.

I dropped in last Sunday to have new tires installed on the wheels of my 10-speed bike. They had wanted I needed and installed them while I waited and looked around the store. They completed the work in a short amount of time, and I must say they have quite a selection of 10-speed bikes. I looked at some very high bikes for the first time in my life, and they everything in between.The staff here are very knowledgeable and a friendly team on the bikes they offer. They have bikes here for all ages, really cool stuff, oh I forgot to mention some of their bikes have disc brakes, I had never seen that before and even electric bikes. They have some high end equipment for bike racers or anyone for that matter.I would recommend this TREK Bicycle Store for your needs, plus this location is close to where I live in North County.

Great Bikes and productos, also great techs,BUT management is always mad, all of the COVID management is pretty poor, people under the Sun waiting for service is pretty sad, they put tents outside for the manager but not for the customer waiting.I have seen time after time people getting sad for the way their are receiving service. I know now trek is making so much money because everybody wants a bike but they are not thinking about the future ... making a lot of people looking into another places because of the poor level of service.

I stopped by to inquire about getting my road bike fitted to me and since I had my bike and gear with me they told me that they could do the bike fitting right away. Ryan then helped me and did the bike fitting and he was very helpful, courteous, and gave me many tips! This was the first time I had been into the North County store and I would have to say I was Extremely Satisfied with the service and the store as a whole.

Picked up my new Trek Fuel EX 9.9 from The San Marcos Superstore last week and put the bike together that day. First ride was incredible. I had to wait in line to be able to go into store ( due to current COVID situation ) . Once inside I was able to make a SAFE purchase of a real nice demo E-bike thanks to the helpful Employees .

So I bought a brand new bike and got the insurance for it. The spokes came loose while riding and caused the wheel to taco. I took it back and they said it does not cover due to a crash. Lies!!!! Do not buy the insurance and do not buy anything from them! Trek you are a lost cause.

Sales rep very helpful, showing me all I need to bleed my brake lines. He was encouraging that I could do it myself, no problem. It was a success and I appreciate he wasnt trying to talk me into paying service to do it.

Just stopped by to get information for a possible Christmas gift for my son. Was greeted and helped by Justin. Justin clearly knew his stuff yet took the time to explain things without making this old cyclist feel ignorant. He listened to my needs and showed me several bikes that would fit. The choices showed that he had listened to what I needed and was interested in finding a good fit rather than a quick sale. He also pointed out reasons why newer (and slightly more expensive) models would be a better buy as Im looking for a bike thats economical but can encourage (and withstand) a powerful young rider.The shop itself is clean and well maintained. A bit tricky to get into the parking area if youre not familiar with the area, but not too bad.Overall, they are a credit to the Trek name and provided quality service. I expect to buy from them in the near future as well as having them do maintenance on my older Trek mountain bike.

And to top it off, the team is always fair on pricing and does their best to get me the lowest price on parts. Also when they have sales, they really have great prices.

They have you wait for 2 hours outside in blazing sun during the pandemic only to be told later that they don’t carry the part that you wanted for your bike. They need to have at least put chairs outside for customers to sit and wait while they go for their turn to be helped.
