Over priced. I was charged $50 for less than 10 mins of labor. No parts, no receipt with what services were performed on my bike. I was charged a “mini tune” but not even made clear what that included. I messaged the shop with my complaints . Never received a response. I went in for a loose rear derailleur cable. Took less than 5 mins.

Tim is the man. Best shop in town by far if you need your bike serviced. I tell anyone around to take their bikes to him and skip going to the bigger places. Easy 5 stars.

My bike was in terrible shape and Tim did everything he could to try and get the original parts working. In the end it needed some new parts but only after Tim went above and beyond trying to fix it, which is rare to find someone like that. I would recommend him to anyone, hes the best!

Tim was instrumental in getting me set up for the Belgian Wafer Ride this year. Knowledgeable, friendly, quality work - with the added bonus of being able to grab a beer next door at the Lost Abbey.

The two mechanics (their names escape me now unfortunately) do excellent work at a fair price. Really went above and beyond getting some parts for my Marin during the pandemic. The bike rides like a dream, thanks guys, will definitely be coming back.

Ive been over there 3 times during regular business hours and have yet to find them open. I think their schedule needs to be more reliable.

It wasnt that I found this place on my first try. It wasnt that I read all the reviews and thought, They sound great! It was that Tim answered the phone on a Saturday, after I had called/stopped in at EVERY OTHER BIKE SHOP in Escondido/San Marcos/ Vista looking for somebody to throw a tune-up on my 2003 Specialized Allez Pro road bike, and my 2015 Trek AL100 Super-Fly mountain bike. Neither bike had been serviced in forever. But, every bike shop I went to said they either a) couldnt help me or, b) wouldnt help me. They were too booked up or didnt have any available scheduled time or Sure, well have it back to you mid-November. I called Tim, told him I needed both bikes tuned, and his response was, Sure! Bring em in! So, I did. Ok, heres the downside: it took him 4 weeks. But everyone else (and I mean EVERYONE else) was either not taking customers, or pushing stuff 6 months out. So, I decided to give Tim a shot. 4 weeks later, both bikes rolled out of his shop riding better than they ever have. Rims are true as a 48 Hours mystery. Brakes as sharp as a Gordan Ramsay critique. Tim is incredibly friendly, and as fast as youd want. I moved to SD County about 6 months ago and really didnt know any reliable bike shops. Now I do. Give Tim your bike and you wont be disappointed. His pricing is also incredibly reasonable. Both bikes tuned, trued, cleaned & lubed for about what every other bike shop wanted for just the Trek. Spend your money at Tims place. Also, it didnt hurt that The Lost Abbey Brewery was right next door. Think of it as dinner and a show. Seriously though, Ive been around bikes for over 30 years building, riding, selling, and racing. Tims a top-notch guy, and the Lost Cyclery is a top-notch shop.

Great experience and great service. They picked my bike up from my house in Encinitas. Did the requested work (replaced crank, chain, & chain rings) & then dropped it off at my house.

Dropped my new bike off to get tuned up and be confident that it wouldn’t fall apart on me since it was shipped in pieces. The guy running the place out my bike right up on the stand and got to working on it. He had everything done in 15 minutes or so and was very helpful. Would definitely suggest going there if you need any work done.

With the COVID pandemic, My father has had the hardest time finding a reliable bike repair shop. With an upcoming mountain biking race that he was sure that he would have to cancel, he was very disappointed. However, the owner of Lost Cyclery was able to put a rush on the repair and pull through for us! Only four days for repair that other repair shops told me would take weeks. He was nothing but kind and courteous. As well as reasonably priced. All of the families bikes will continue to come here!

To me, it is a hidden jewel for cycling enthusiasts in San San Marcos, CA. It was an unlucky eve led me find this store. I got a flat tire in the middle of a adventure ride heading to double peak park from Escondido. luckily, searched on Google Map and Lost Cyclery showed up on my way home. Walked more than 2 miles and got there. Tim was the tech and expert. He took care of the flat tire and kindly also asked me if there was any complaint about my bike. I pointed the shifters but it would take some time so I told him those would be for the next time. He noticed my break pads were not evenly placed and became some resistance for the wheels. He adjusted them for me quickly and professionally. I definitely will go back to have my bikes check up.

He can order whatever you need. He has a limited space for inventory, however dont let that deter you from checking it out. Support local small business, he really cares about helping you out with your cyclery needs. If you are tired of snooty bike shops that only give you the time of day if you buy 2k plus bikes, then this is your guy. Unfortunately I didnt catch his name but I believe he is a 1 man show. Glad I went and checked out the place, now if I need my bike serviced I know where to go.
