I was able to take my 1965 ford mustang in for an alignment, which a lot of shops don’t have the knowledge to do since it’s and older car which uses shims. I had seen a few mustangs parked outside before when passing by and I’m glad I gave them the opportunity. They also found some loose steering components and made sure to tighten them down, saving me from a potentially terrible accident. The owner was polite and knowledgeable and I was able to make an appointment by phone and drop it off in the morning. Overall I had a good experience and won’t hesitate to use them again for my mustang.

Need a head light and a third brake light, the one thats above the rear window. There is one shade tree there and I made use of it. I did the break light no problem but got perplexed one the low beam, I thought I bought the wrong one and they had sold me 2 knowing it an 08 . Well they gave me a hand, I had been trying to get it into the high beam socket 😂😂😂

Took truck in for overheating. They found the issue quickly and repaired it the next day. Price was great and way less than others in the area would charge. Didnt try to fix other things or tack on unnecessary expenses.

Took my truck in with one trouble code. To their credit they did diagnose and repair one issue (Replaced injectors, $1000) Got truck back with fuel leak and a noticeable miss-fire(They fixed fuel leak). They could not and did not fix original trouble code. They made a suggestion that might fix it ($1800). I’m pretty confident their suggestion would not fix the issue, as I was a mechanic for 35 years. Now truck has multiple codes, and the timing was not set correctly.

A&A has always dealt with me honestly and professionally and turned my vehicle around quickly. Hard to ask much more than that.

This is a really busy place and busy mechanic. Im 47 now, and Ive met Adam senior after high school. He was a good mechanic then, and still is. My parents have gone to Adam for approximately 25 years. As far as I know, he is one of the cheaper mechanics out there. Only recently have I shopped around to see whats new, and whats going on. Im only a shade tree mechanic, but Adam is next level mechanic thats for sure. Ive learned a lot about cars along the way, and get a tip every now and then. However, Adam has always been very honest, and thats rare in this day in age, with or without the beer bug floating around.

I cant say enough good things about the guys and the customer service quality of this place! This shop is the only one I trust in Central Texas, have brought five cars to them over the years and ones there now. I never doubt they will do what’s best and won’t try to sell me something that isn’t needed or try to pull a fast one on me. They speak straight, know what they’re doing and do it well. Always would recommend this shop.

I dont write reviews lightly, however, Id like to give AA automotive a 5-star review. my car broke down due to transmission malfunction on my way to San Antonio, so I had to drop by the nearest auto repair. Adam welcomed me and he buddy did a quick diagnosis, after they identified that the issue was from transmission control module, they told me that this was covered by extended warranty and I could get it fixed for free at Ford dealer instead of paying tons of dollars to get the transmission fixed there. . they also connected me with ford dealer on my way home! Big thanks to A&A. Besides that, Adam is very professional and communicative! highly recommend them to you!

Did a great and timely job with repairs on my Mustang. They were honest and I never got the feeling that they were trying to cheat me. mechanics and salesmen have lied to me in the past to get more money, but these guys arent like that. I find a good automotive place and I stick with them. Ive been here 5 times so far and everyone is great. I have had no problems with the service or the pricing. I sometimes check with other places if I think the price is too high. But it has always been spot on. Great place and Great people. Call ahead so they can get you in. And get here early so you get a parking spot.

I wish I could give no stars. I came here for a rack and pinion that cost me over $1,000. They replaced it, charged me, and pretty soon the problem was back. I went back, the owner told me that all new rack and pinions are bad and it was not his fault... and finally agreed to replace the rack and pinion a 2nd time. Sure enough, the problem still persisted (even though they said themselves it would be fixed by replacing that part). Long story short and dealing with these people for weeks going back 5 times, I had to go somewhere else. Unfortunately, they would not reimburse me anything at all, and I had to get my car fixed somewhere else (somewhere that did the same thing and did it correctly). I dont know if being a college female made me come off as a joke to them, but every penny I had was wasted on parts and labor for nothing. Other shops and friends of mine told me this place is not worth its salt. Get a second opinion and dont trust these guys.

Two years ago I brought my 96 Lexus in for a check on my power steering cause of a leak.Guy walks out, looks under my car once and is certain it’s my power steering pump without any actual testing. Price he quoted wasn’t bad for labor and parts. However, I decided to check it out with someone else, turns out all I need was a new hose for less than $60. Shady shady shady, glad I left this place.

I have taken two cars to A & A Automotive for pre-purchase inspections (PPI, aka buyers checks). Both inspections were thorough and honest. We were treated with respect, and our questions were answered in detail. This is a multi-generational family-owned business, and I have had positive interactions with each generation and multiple levels of staff, from the owners, managers, and mechanics.Note, because this matters to some: Im a woman and have not experienced any patronizing treatment. Ive only had positive interactions with their team.The first car I brought in for inspection had very high miles but they learned that it was in fantastic mechanical condition--and since that was unlikely, the rest of their team joined in on the inspection to keep searching for some flaw that had been missed. They found nothing significant and gave us a list of the maintenance and repairs we should expect over the next few years, how much they would typically cost, and when we should expect them. That gave us the confidence needed to purchase the car and drive it across the country the next day.The second car I brought in had low miles, was in great exterior condition, and drove wonderfully. I only had it inspected for peace of mind. The A & A team found a host of problems under the surface. They learned that the car had internal parts held together by zip-ties, multiple leaks, and was almost certainly an unreported flood car. Disaster on wheels, no matter how well it drove in the short-term.I asked quite a few questions in both cases, and everything was answered in detail.

Spent $2500 in previous repairs, tried to develop a relationship with the shop. Recently took my truck here and the prices seemed to have been driven way up! I told Adam that I would need a few days til payday to have the work done. So I go pick up the truck and he nails me with a $65 estimate fee! Im broke as is and he does this to me at 8am. Never going back

I had a great experience going here. I called about my car making squealing noises and they said to bring it in whenever it is convenient for me and they will look at it. I got there and they said they were completely booked for the next 4 days but looked at my car anyways, they then told me the break pads and rotors were out and they could have it done by 9 the next morning. I have had bad experience in the past being scammed with my vehicle simply because they saw a young female that knew nothing about cars and over charged me or fixed things that werent broken. That is not the case here. They got my car in, fixed it, and did not charge me for anything that wasnt needed.. I will definitely be going back!

Brought my 92 Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenue in because it had high rpms and wouldn’t go 60 mph. Paid them to diagnose it and they said it was my transmission. I finally found one myself online and had it sent in. My gas line broke between waiting so they had to replace that. They quoted me at 400 to put the transmission in and once it was finished they never called me. I called them and they said to come in, the job was done and I’d pay $808 for everything. I’m exited to finally have my car back just to realize nothing had been fixed and I still can’t drive on the highway. The f***ers will take ur money and run.

Went in to get my Ford Edge checked out, guy told me it was a bad fan assembly and was overpricing it, so I took it back did my own research and manually plugged the fan into power and it worked perfectly fine, overall he was overpricing the part and they gave me a wrong diagnostic, guess that electrical engineering degree is coming in handy. Please do your research before you get anything done.

Daughter started to head out of town late on Thanksgiving holiday and started to have car problems before she got to the freeway. A&A was open and called them to see if they could look into it. They said they would be looking for her. Her car made it to the shop and within a couple of hours had her problem identified and fixed. A&A topped off her fluids as well and had her back on the road. I was prepared for an unreasonable price and some tough negotiating. To my surprise, the quoted price was very reasonable and I was happy to pay as quoted.Great job Adam Jr - happy to do business again with you should I ever need it.

Took my Ford F-150 Platinum in to get a leveling spacers out in between the cab and front struts. They told me the spacers didnt line up correctly with the bolt pattern. They charged me $90 for labor. After examining my truck I noticed that nothing was tampered with, the lug bolts hadnt been removed nor my struts. I took the spacer and laid it on top of the strut under the hood and it lined up perfectly. Took it back up there and they said theyd do it at a discount. Theyre dishonest and will screw you if you dont know what youre talking about. After getting it home they had also left the bolts on the passenger side strut not torqued down. Had to argue with the guy and explain to him what he was looking at like I was the one wrong.

I have followed Adam to several automotive shops he has managed over the years because of his consistently prompt, reliable and affordable service. Trustworthy and highly motivated are other words that come to mind. Adam has created service success stories for others but has for several years now been creating his own success in the same shop where he once was an employee.I just got my sons car back from him (picked up and delivered) for less than half what I agreed to pay. When it was easier than he thought, he reduced his profit! When I have a service provider I can trust like I trust him......I conversely will not allow them to take a loss because of an occasional unforeseen additional problem. I live in the real world. The owner Adam has worked for every single shop in the area,and apparently keeps getting fired...So now he has hes own business off of Guadalupe st. in San Marcos TX.anyway i tool my truck there,and it wasnt fixed rt,not only did they lie to me etc!!!.I highly recommend taking it to franks Automotive down the the same street,They took good care of me in a timely manner,and was very reasonable.

Went in to A&A today to get my truck inspected. I live near Driftwood, well within Hays County, but have an Austin address (this address is on my proof of insurance). However, the truck has a Hays registration sticker, and has always been inspected in Hays. Upon seeing the Austin address, the fellow behind the counter refused to inspect the truck, assuming it was a Travis country truck and subject to different inspection rules. Upon explaining that I live in Hays, have always gotten it inspected in Hays, etc, he rudely called me a law-breaker, and told me to call DPS and that theyd reaffirm what he said. Angry, I went somewhere up the street and had a different shop inspect it, without a hitch. Called DPS anyway later, and wouldnt you know it, the A&A guy was wrong! Never going back due to the terrible service I received.
