He was more than helpful! He was kind and patient and I would refer any of my friends and family. I was a long time customer of Ford…no longer!Extremely poor customer service. I purchased a 2021 Ford Mustang GT Convertible in Aug 2021. At the time of purchase I made mention of a paint defect and was told Ford would take care of this. After 3 visits to Griffith and two visits to Covert Ford nothing was ever done. There was a recall on the vehicle that I was not able to get completed (even after scheduling 2 appointments to do so.)After a year I sold a car because I was tired of poor customer service, and now I’m trying to get my gap coverage check and it’s been over a month. Brendon says it was mailed (but conveniently it’s missing the suite # so after a week it had not arrived.) Today I’ve been hung up on five times and their system after requesting to speak to a manager. Then I’m transferred to a salesman…very inept group! Would never recommend Griffith Ford and will NEVER buy another Ford product.

Came in to get my car fixed with a “I don’t want to take it to the dealer” attitude so I had very low expectations. However, I’m glad I did take my car. Ricardo was a huge help and extremely professional. He detailed every step as well as answered every question I had—which were many. If you do need the dealer to make any repairs I’d recommend Griffith Ford San Marcos and ask for Ricardo, he’ll get you squared away.

I’m glad I did— it was easily the quickest and most stress free experience I’ve had buying a vehicle. I worked with River Skinner at his previous Nissan dealership and attempted to purchase a vehicle with him, but was unsuccessful due to his manager. But I had such a great experience that after a bad accident I called up River to find that he was working with Griffith Ford. I told him exactly what I was looking for, and within minutes he sent me a walk around video of my perfect car. I set an appointment to purchase, and had the easiest most transparent buying experience. I was in and out in my new Jeep within an hour. Car was perfectly detailed, River has called to follow up, and even sent me a hand written card on my birthday. It’s the little things that make you feel special, and River Skinner and his Team at Griffith know how to go the extra mile to make you feel valued. Kudos guys.

Made an appointment for an oil change, service advisor confirmed appointment day before, I showed up on time and it took almost 3 hours for an oil change! The excuse Service department gave me is because several customers made appointments and they were overwhelmed. My response was than why let several customers make appointments for the same times if you can’t accommodate everyone’s appointments? To make matters worse, they wouldn’t even offer to adjust bill to make up for the huge inconvenience. This was the first and it’ll also be the last time I take my vehicles there for service. Appointments obviously don’t mean anything there…very disappointing!

The moment I was introduced to River Skinner I knew that I was going to be taken care of, it’s not often that you step on a car lot and feel comfortable almost immediately, I have personally never met a salesman that is as knowledgeable or as attentive. There aren’t many people that will go above and beyond for their customers needs but River will, the whole time with a smile on his face. I want to start by saying that I work in Marketing and understand the weight and importance that Google reviews hold for businesses. I have never written a bad review for a company before but this experience has led me here to warn others. I took my vehicle in for a check engine light and a brake repair. The dealership had my vehicle for over a week and had little to no communication about what was happening or what the plan was. When they finally returned our phone calls we found out that they didnt have the resources to fix my engine at their location and were planning on transporting it somewhere else. All of this should have been communicated to me the moment I dropped my vehicle off. They would frequently place me on hold and say that someone would call me back. I had to miss multiple days of work because what was originally suppose to take two days turned into an entire week without a vehicle. The dealership never offered another way of transportation they just kept pushing back the dates on when it would be fixed. The cherry on top of this experience was picking up my vehicle only to notice something strange. There were small dirty paw prints all over the interior of my vehicle (see attached picture). We dont own pets smaller than 70 lb dogs and I keep my vehicle very clean. I have no idea what happened when I handed my vehicle over to them but needless to say, my family will not be returning here ever. I would advise you to think twice before you do as well. Im not out for blood, I am just trying to share the facts and our experience so others can be well informed before investing their time and money here.

I have never left a review about a business, of any kind, in my entire life. But, stay away from Griffith Ford San Marcos. I’m leaving two stars because the salesman, Dalton, was pleasant and knowledgeable. BUT, their finance manager, who wish I could remember his name, is a straight up weasel. He Will try to use every back door tactic to take your focus of purchase price, trade in value, and interest rate. He would not give me a clear picture of the purchase details without trying to force me to pick a damn monthly payment on a piece of paper. Then, when I ask him to do his job, negotiate, he mocks me to his buddies in the finance office, thinking I can’t hear him. Needless to say, walked in, took my keys and left. I will never do business with this dealership.

Griffith Ford San Marcos is definitely the place I am going the next time I want to purchase a vehicle! My dad & I were referred to Gabriel a couple of weeks ago after we had gone through so many dealers to find him something new & everyone else made it more difficult & stressful. But Gabriel made the process very easy & not stressful at all. He helped us stay within our budget, going the extra mile to help us in every way he could. And went over everything we needed to know, answering whatever questions we had. Gabriel was super cool & had some of the best dealer customer service! I want to start off by saying I’ve been a loyal customer for about 12 years. I’ve purchased 2 mustang gt’s from this location and had good experiences. Then about a month ago I had a bad experience with the service department. Let it slide and had repairs done elsewhere. Recently I’ve been in the market for a bronco sport. Went in today to look at one and found one I like. Said I would like to test drive it and purchase it. After being showed everything about it and going for a test drive we go in to do paperwork. They then come back and say they just sold it. So either they don’t know how to run a business or they sold it from underneath me. Either way I will take my business elsewhere and recommend you do the same.

We booked an oil change appointment for 8am. The service was advertised at ~$50 for an oil change, fluid check and tire rotation. The dealership was not prepared to receive customers at 8am. when the service rep arrived, they were still trying to get the store opened up. they just seemed disorganized.at about 9am, they explained that the Engine and Cabin air filters needed to be replaced. they explained the service would be $110... I thought, eh $60 for two air filters is a bit excessive, but its a convenience. so sure, lets do the air filters.At 10am my wife and i are both frustrated, 2 HOURS! for an oil change and tire rotation, when we booked the first appointment of the day.The final straw... the total charge was $185, they charged us $110 for two air filters (part cost under $20 for both filters). I get that they need to charge for the service, but $90 labor to replace two air filters?! It was excessive, the wait was excessive, the dealership seemed completely ill equipped to perform service work.we will never be back to this dealership, to buy another vehicle or for service.

I purchased a 2021 F-150 XL 4x4 from Griffith Ford on 08-10-2021. I dealt with Jack in Internet sales and Eric in Finance. Jack and Eric were up front and forth coming with information during this vehicle purchase. At no point did I feel uncomfortable about the purchase. I cant say the same for another local Central Texas dealership I dealt with the day before. Staff were professional and courteous. Im pleased with my purchase and I would recommend this dealership to anyone who is in the market to purchase a new or used vehicle.

The battery exploded on my 2017 explorer. They fixed it and I had my car a whole day before it died again. The vehicle had to be towed back to their shop (at my expense) because I wasn’t able to get it jumpstarted. I’ve been told it now has to be worked on by someone “certified.” My service advisor, Ricardo, wasn’t very communicative with me and didn’t respond to my messages or calls as promised. I had to email and call the service director to find out the status of my vehicle. Why was someone not certified working on my car? Isn’t that why we take our vehicles to a Ford service shop? It’ll be a week tomorrow that they’ve had my car and that’s not including the few days they had my vehicle to do the original repair work. It’s pretty unfortunate because this dealership is close to my residence. I guess I’ll have to tell everyone about my experience and find another Ford service dealership.

I had a coolant leak and had to have my vehicle towed to Griffith Ford in San Marcos. My service advisor David, called me as soon as the tow truck driver arrived. He told me he would need a few days to get the problems diagnosed and would call me as soon as he had more information. David called me back and was honest about the time line on repairs and his manager Robert even expedited parts to help me receive fast service. Absolutely the best buying experience I have had. We traveled to Austin, searched dealerships in San Antonio and even as far as Houston. Some would call us back but never had exactly what we wanted therefore never eager to assist. Thought we had a deal with a dealership in Austin but the morning on the day we were set to make our way to the dealership and start the paperwork, they sold the truck from under us! Griffith staff is bar none the best! Courteous and professional. From when we were contacted by phone, our reception at the dealership, time we spent finalizing our deal, to finally receiving our vehicle the process was incredible and the entire staff top notch! I would not recommend this Ford Dealership to anyone. I went here a few weeks back to purchase a New F250 King Ranch. MSRP was 80,020. I know the car market is a little wild right now so I was willing to pay a little more over MSRP if my trade value was good. Low an behold there was a “market adjustment” accessory charge of $8,000!What completely rubs me the wrong way about this is that management told me “well the way the car market is right now.. we need to get more for our cars just like you are getting for your trade in”.. but in reality dealers are making the most profits they ever have in years because of the market shortage. They say they are low in stock… but if so why is the truck on the lot..?The salesman I worked with was Christian, who is a really nice guy. He helped me get a better value on my trade in which I appreciated. Management here is terrible man. Just be careful when you go into this place especially those of you who are first time car buyers.I would recommend blue bonnet Ford in New Braunfels. I’ve bought from them before and have always had good experiences there. Do not go to this dealership! You have been warned!!

I like the sales staff here. Ian Harris was our initial contact when we arrived and is personable, no pressure and attentive. We did have some issues with the car upon getting it home the first day. The stereo was not in good working condition and some cardboard had been left around the battery casing causing a bad smell. When I called Ian, he was immediately on the problem, offering us a replacement car while the radio was being replaced. Ultimately, this dealership addressed all the issues and we are happy with our purchase. The four star rating is due to the car not having been fully inspected before selling. The sales staff, Ian and his colleague, Jack, were pleasant to work with and aimed to please.

Began my visit with a late evening chat online. The representative I conversed with was friendly and helpful. He relayed my wishes to their staff who called me first thing the next morning. I went in for a test drive and was greeted right away as I came into the dealership. Gabriel Gonzales helped me find the right car and on the test drive explained how everything worked and answered all my questions. I was given a nice offer on my trade in and financing worked with me until I was satisfied. I love my new car !!!

Disappointed so very disappointed this is the third Ford I have purchased I never had an issue with the first two. The first 2 I purchased from Maxwell Ford on the motor mile. I live in SM and choose this time to go local, I was 100 percent confident in the Ford brand. As usual I chose the vehicle before arriving I didn’t need to be sold I went in ready to close.I have had issues with the 2021 Explorer from day one. I trusted the service department when they told me 3.5 weeks later to come get my vehicle. Today I arrive for my vehicle and it’s worse than when I took it in and not one item was repaired in fact they returned it to me with the passenger side window tint ripped.I would not recommend Griffith Ford to anyone I know. They have made me feel like I don’t count that my purchase didn’t matter and worse now I have to take it back to finally get it repaired. Not once was I contacted by any manager to apologize or even assure me I would get taken care of until I demanded it. So very disappointed.

I placed my wallet in my glovebox and when I tried to retrieve it- the latch broke. We were only 6 miles from Griffith Ford and I have bumper to bumper extended warranty so I decided to see if maybe a mechanic could assist me. I waited while the service manager took a lengthy phone call from an irate customer. I explained what the issue was and the service manager very rudely told me that my warranty didnt matter if my wallet had jammed the lock. There was nothing else in my glovebox. He came to my truck, demanded the keys from my husband, tried the latch and sent a mechanic out. The mechanic pried the glovebox open enough to see that the issue was not my wallet, it is the latch that has failed to work properly. Is it a Ford dealership statewide thing for all male service managers to treat women rudely or is it just that you felt you could speak rudely to the next customer in line because you took a call from an irate customer before me? I will never darken your door steps again,,Griffith Ford.

My boyfriend got his taillights stolen and after 2 weeks of not being able to drive he finally got new lights and called Griffith Ford to make sure they would install them since they are aftermarket. They told him they could install the lights so we both drove all the way over there (because I had to follow him since he has no lights) just for them to let him drop off his truck and then call back saying they won’t install them. Awful customer service and very hard to get in touch with. My boyfriend called them about 20 times yesterday and they wouldn’t answer. Went up there today and it took them 5 minutes to figure out where his keys were. 0/5.

I would NEVER recommend this Ford dealership. Not only does their word hold no values the service department is not a reputable place. They do not greet customers, they make you feel like an inconvenience and they do not communicate. I took my vehicle in after waiting 2 weeks for availability a week later my car is still there an no one will return my calls to let me know what is going on. I have escalated this to the service manager who also lacks the knowledge and efficiency to get things done. Mr. Griffith was personally in on our purchase due to a situation that occurred in their office. He personally shook mine and my husband’s hand saying “ if there is anything I can do for you please do not hesitate to contact me” well needless to say we trusted his word would hold value and have been greatly disappointed. I could go on and on about more incidents that we have encountered throughout the years of having our vehicle that we regretfully purchased at Griffith however there will never be enough time. Please save yourself the stress and read the reviews there is a reason they don’t have great feedback!

Took vehicle in for a small oil leak, My vehicle is back for the 3rd time and I was told I would have a phone call that day. Its been a week and I had to call and the service person. The service person has no idea!!!! The most unprofessional dealership I have ever been in!!! This dealership is a very bad mark on Ford. Tried to speak with the GM and he would never call back even after several messages. All times that the vehicle was there they said they watched it carefully and has no leaks. I drove it home and now I have 6 to 10 inch oil stains on my driveway.

Cody was very friendly and professional. I went in last Friday and to get my truck serviced and asked how long a wait it would be it was more than I could wait. Cody offered a shuttle to take me were I needed to go I told him I needed my truck he then offered to make an appointment for me on another day I sett my appointment. Not the dealership in Sequin but the one in San Marcos. Found the truck I liked went on line and confirmed the price OTD including TTL was going to be 85k-86k. Which is a lot but in this market everything is over priced. This was done on Monday night. Talked to my wife and decided to take the day off and drive to San Marcos to purchase the truck. Called first thing Tuesday morning to confirm everything including price and we were good. Manager called back 20 minutes later and told me that all the websites and their own dealership website was wrong. The truck actually has a 8k MARKET ADJUSTMENT. So the OTD was going to be 94k-95k. I was furious, explaining that was false advertisement, a bait and switch on their part. I was told this is the way it is and if I didnt like it to take my business elsewhere. SO I WILL.

By far the worst car dealership I’ve ever been to. If I could give a negative amount of star ratings I would, but unfortunately I’m not able to. I’ve been to quite a few dealerships and everywhere I go people are always so kind and reassuring and pretty much just extremely helpful. However, for this place, no no no, I can’t even compare this sad excuse of a “dealership” to any other place, it was honestly humiliating to see the way everyone was working there. I’ve gone a few times and not a single time did I feel ok or comfortable in the building. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt but any time I’d go, nothing but rude employees are there “to greet” you. Funny way to greet someone...

The staff at Griffith is the most diversified Ive seen at any dealership to date, friendly, and straight forward. I highly recommend potential buyers to check out Griffiths website for current vehicle on sale and know exactly what options you want in the vehicle. Before going to Griffith I dread buying from a dealership because of the waiting time and surprises but after the purchase I feel more confident. The only feedback for improvement is, if possible, for Griffith to try to shorten the sale processing time. For me it was a quickest sale to date at a dealership however I still spent 5 hours at the dealership. Thank you Griffith, I am a very satisfied customer!

We were in the market for a specific type of, used, Ford truck, and had not had any luck in finding it in the San Antonio area. My husband extended the search to Austin where he found two trucks at Griffith Ford. After confirming details we went the next day to see the trucks.I am very cautious about businesses having & following COVID guide lines. Griffith Ford is doing an excellent job! All employees, including customers were masked and following social distancing protocol. The lot, showroom, and restrooms were very clean.Our Salesperson, Shawn White came out to greet us just after we arrived; he is very personable, knowledgeable, and professional. No pressure sales techniques, or games. So appreciate that kind of respect.After examining & driving both trucks we decided to buy one. Shawn made the sale easy and seamless. While that was taking place he had the truck detailed. Less than an hour later my husband was driving our new used truck home with a full tank of gas!Totally worth having to drive the extra miles.

I scheduled appointment for airbag recall, show up for my appointment and no one had a clue and the parts had not been ordered. Turns out the person who scheduled the appointment has supposedly quit the same day. So we setup a plan to have parts ordered, to follow up with service representative and move forward. Well I followed up with service rep a few days later and here we are a month out and Ive not heard a single word from the dealership. Needless to say, Ive contacted Fords recall staff and am going elsewhere.

My wife and I were interested in a vehicle listed for sale at Griffith Ford. We called to ensure it was still available, and finding that it was, headed over to Griffith. It was a 30 minute drive and we arrived only 5 minutes before closing. No matter: the salesman Gabe took great care of us and all the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. We didn’t end up buying a vehicle from Griffith this time, but it was no fault of theirs. We will surely be back next time we need a vehicle; friendly folks and great service are things I don’t take for granted!

If you’re looking for service after the sale, don’t come here. Purchased new car, after 7700 miles, brought in for a transmission concern, after 9 days without car and multiple attempts for update, vehicle was still not even looked at. Very poor customer service and lack of communication. All we needed was an update or some sort of hint of progress.******WILL NEVER COME BACK AGAIN ******

Drove in from an hour away with what should had been an easy transaction test drive, sign and drive home in my new truck instead they refused my Ford employee discount. I had all the qualifying paperwork including a bank approved loan I guess the money they were making of me wasnt enough. Becareful with what you pay for your car if you visit them.

After 2015- F150 was in for annual regular maintenance check the brake pedal was discovered to sink to the floor. After a few days of diagnosing by Service Center, it was found to have a vacuum hose leak and faulty brake master cylinder. So far all is working as expected. Glad I wasnt driving on the highway when MC went out or could have been a mess.
