Worst customer service ever!! When calling Hayward in SLO, they make you feel like you’re bothering them and are very impatient just having a conversation about material materials that were ordered and should have been in days ago!! I have called four times in the last two days in twice I was told they would call me back within an hour and never called back

I think they are getting better.....dropped the ball on many an attempt at pricing and helping of my customers. Horrible customer service.

Surprisingly poor customer service for a family owned business. Called with a rudimentary material question and they didn’t know/wouldn’t answer.

I had help as I walked into the building. Employee was knowledgeable and polite. Saved so much time. Clean and efficient. I will be very happy to return again and stay away from the big box stores

The service, knowledge & experience of Haywards employees (specifically Rudy) is exemplary. I purchased my Kolbe doors & windows from Hayward about 5 yrs ago when I did a major remodel of my home in Morro Bay. Hayward was terrific to work with at that time. Recently my front door had an issue for which the local locksmith could not address. I discovered when contacting Hayward that they no longer carry Kolbe product, and obtaining service from Kolbe to fix the problem would have been a nightmare. Rudy (of Hayward Lumber) offered to trouble-shoot my problem directly with Kolbe and worked with me over several months to solve the problem and get a replacement part. Rudy was very knowledgeable, skilled, friendly to work with ... and did not give up with Kolbe until he resolved my problem. Hayward stood behind a product that they no longer carry. Bravo !!!

It has been a challenging year with suppliers not having product to ship it is hard to fill empty shelves. Hayward has been working hard to keep prices down even with suppliers increasing their price.

Haywards is our local lumber yard. You are seriously building you will be doing dealing with Hayward. Hayward strong suit is delivery selection service and being local. Sometimes they are a little more expensive than Home Depot, with Lumber sometimes it is because its a higher grade. Other stuff just cost more.

Ive walked into Hayward twice now and I will not be walking in a third time. Both times Ive gotten absolutely no greeting or some kind of acknowledgement. Its almost as if they dont want you to buy anything. We were looking to buy a few doors for our home but well be looking in Home Depot instead. Save yourself the time and go to Home Depot or Miners.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Extremely unknowable and rude staff. They are unable to answer product questions and speak to customers in an overall bothered/rude tone. I was using Hayward as a vendor for the construction company I am a manager for and was spending tens of thousands of dollars there monthly. I will no longer use this vendor as a result of their terrible customer service/rude employees! Save yourself the trouble and use miners or home depo where the employees are polite and helpful!

Wheres are all the help..been standing around for literally 40min waiting for forklift help..told two employees what I needed help with. Now I cant find anyone outside..

Rude and trashy behind counter, rude and scuzzy behind wheel. Overpriced. I really wish I could get my materials elsewhere. I hate having to give these people my business. I wish we had another lumber yard to choose from.

Talk about poor customer service, This would be my second time walking into San Luis Obispo Haywards for a quote, the first time was for windows that no one could seem to respond too, sorry, Haywards lost out on a expensive job and now I couldnt even get a single associate to acknowledge me because of there own conversation about Saint Patricks day, Im sure my 600sqft deck from the ground up isnt worth the time or money, but I have to say that Ive been burned for the last time.So its back to HOME DEPOT!

If I had a time machine to get back to 1990, the customer service would make sense.... awful:)
