We got just Lechase cake, guava cheesecake, El Diablo, two tacos and two drinks. The food was good. They stay open until 12 but the kitchen closed at 11:40. There is both outdoor and indoor dining. The outdoor finding area is beautiful for a date. When I was there someone said as breaking up so itβs good for that as well π¬
Wanted to like this place but after my second time here, Ill pass going forward. Service is fine but the food and drinks are just not that good despite looking delicious. The original chips that came with the guac had to be sent back because they were obviously old and chewy. The bread for the tacos was cold. For the first time here the fajitas were just ok. On the plus side my girlfriend found the drinks good. I thought they both tasted like kool aid, wayyyy to sweet. Either way I wont be back.
Excellent place to have drinks and Mexican food, the menu is full of classic Mexican cousine, really delicious, we ordered La Yucateca, margaritas, and Steak fajitas, in everything you can taste so much flavor, the presentation for every plata is carefully setSince this place is completely Mexican, I was disappointed about the music selection, I would put music more exciting and happy, Latin of course, thatβs my only complain
If you like trash, dont come here this place is straight heat π₯. Drinks were so good I nearly texted my ex. 5/5 would recommend
This place has become one of my favorite spots in nyc! Great location, with the n and w trains one block away. Great, friendly and helpful staff, with such tasty foods!! Love their nachos, and drinks: so far everything i have ordered has been fantastic!!! See photos! Be sure to oder the tamarindo frozen margarita, the machos with multiple cheese blend (either vegetarian, beef, chicken etc)...
The fried Calamari tasted good and would of been enough but I was curious about the pork taco. I got the pork taco with pineapples which was not that great. The virgin Hot apple cider was good but the green apple garnish sadly was on the brown side.My waitress Olenka never follow-up to ask how are you u doing? Or could I get you something else? She never came to take up my empty plates - not cool!
Everything was delicious. The drinks were also delicious, but perhaps lacked some alcohol, however, their shots were like doubles... HUGE!. The service was amazing... loved our waitress. The only thing I did not like was the steak nachos... the meat was perhaps overcooked, not sure, but I wont be ordering that again.Fish tacos *****Guacamole and chips *****Fajita ******Shrimp Quesadilla ****Steak Nachos ***
This is another great place in Astoria for Mexican food. Whether it is delivery or dine it. I order their nachos every time I go because they are just that good. I would say I order delivery from them about once a week and am not disappointed ever.
Had amazing birria tacos and amazing pork tacos. They have a great selection of vegetarian options as well which was perfect for my friend. I never had tacos like this before. A staple in astoria. Drinks menu was great. I got the guava margarita. Outdoor dining seating was okay. I was freezing even though they had heat. Will be adding this spot to my fave lists to eat by home.
Make sure to stop for one of the best drinks I have had in a long time... Be careful... They are so good you forget that youre on number 5 until you stand up. The tacos are large filled with a tasty combination of items for the perfect flavor vs just some meat in a shell. The el pastor is my go to taco. Best part is that this place is packed any night so make sure to get their early.
Ask for Electric lemonade is one of my favorite drinks there and the michelada if you like spicy πΆ Nachos are my always fave
Food and drinks were good but the service was awful! While being seated we were told the time limit for tables which I totally understand and respect, but what I didnβt like was the server rushing to pick up our plates. He saw me eating and waited for me to finish. I never felt so rushed. π hopefully they do better.
Got too drunk to reliably say how the food was so I can only weigh in on the drinks. They were pretty good.
What a really cute place. Only had cocktails at bar with very nice bartender. Really cant wait to go back and eat. Food looked really good.
Second time here were all Navy... Second Best service!!!... Ryan ended up being our server... She is in the picture... We didnt started out with her but she took over from our other server because we couldnt locate her... We enjoyed the night so far and still here from since 3pm and staying to watch the BK Nets game... Seek out Ryan shes the best!!!!!!!!......
Food was okay chefs specialties menu octopus was amazing but definitely could be a little larger in portion for the price.. Drinks were awesome presentation was lovely..
This place is a gem. Definitely try to come on a Tuesday for the special. The tacos were great. I had the nopal, cameron y birria. They were awesome and definitely filling. I couldnt finish, I had to eat half of each taco. The drinks were great, you would definitely feel toasty on 1 drink. This is a place I will definitely be frequenting.
We Love this cozy spot! Great authentic Mexican food π₯
Chef Polo introduced us to some authentic Mexican cuisine. Tacos were just fantastic with all fresh ingredients. You can definitely taste the freshness. Must try the Ceviche and the Mole Chicken. Heaven! Drinks were delicious as well and our server was recommending us ideas based on our questions. Astoria is the place to be and Las Catrinas enhance this statement.
Fairly decent Mexican food. I liked the guacamole. Was not disappointed, nor was I blown away. My margarita was fine, but I would have expected better quality to be honest. I would go back.
Came for brunch. Chilaquiles were pretty good, but the huevos con flautass sauce was too smokey. Tasted kind of burnt.

This place was a real disappointment. The tacos were flavorless, and the meat was all very tough. Also, the guacamole was acceptable, but was way under seasoned. This was an absolute waste of a meal.
Taco Tuesday to a whole other level. Great food, service and an extensive tequila menu.
The food was amazing both presentation and taste! Will definitely come again !
Always excellent food and service π π π
This review is entirely for the host. As a fellow restaurant professional, I know how hard it is to manage a crazy waitlist in a huge dining space. She made it look easy, keeps you constantly updated on table status, and remembered every one of the numerous parties waiting all around the corner. Thank you!
This place has changed since covid. The food was alot tastier before.
Wow ! I wish Las Caterinaβs food flavors will come back like used to be. I order a week ago my favorite tacos in Astoria and for 2 seconds I though π§I order from another taco place. But Noooπ±βits Las Catrinasβ ... I called immediately to asked if the change owners and they said βyes we hired a new Cheff, I am sorry we canβt do anything, thatβs it π β good bye my favorite place, the tacos came flavorless, saggy and horrible.......I will try TAQUERIA EL BARRIO 33 st and 34 ave !
Amazing food. Great service
Amazing! The food is wonderful and the service is stellar! I went with family and kids and they treated us just great. Great margaritas and micheladas and the food was all delicious.
Cold tacos, very bland guac.i could do the margaritas again
I donβt normally leave reviews. But for this I had to. I ordered the box of 6 al pastor tacos and a carne asada quesadilla. First off, the al pastor tasted and felt like some gritty pate, very unpleasant all around in terms of flavor and texture. No amount of lime or salsa could help improve it. The quesadilla, slightly better but still not very good. The tortilla looks to be made in house but was thick and took away from anything being the star of the meal inside. To be fair. Iβve eaten here before, but at the restaurant and had something different. They definitely need to revisit their menu and make some adjustments.
Great food and amazing staff. The drinks are some of the best in Astoria. The staff is very accommodating, welcoming, and gave us good recommendations. We had the guacamole, fajitas and Nachos. We will def be going back.
We visited during phase 2 of opening and decided to grab drinks here because of the cute outdoor setup. We had wanted to try it before the pandemic but hadnβt gotten around to it so this seemed like the best time. We went on a weekday afternoon and ordered margaritas from the walkup window. I ordered a frozen watermelon marg, which was just a frozen marg with some syrup poured on top, and it was decent. But it was $12 for a 12 ounce cup, the same size as the tiny candle on the table, which is high, even by NY standards. My partner ordered a classic marg on the rocks. $11, 12 ounces, mediocre at best. I will say they were pretty strong, and mine was strong without being overpowering, which I enjoyed. Although the ambiance was decent, we will likely not return due to the high prices and the proximity of other Mexican places with tastier and better-priced margaritas.
Stumbled on this place when walking down Broadway and did not regret going in. Great vibes, great bartender serving great drinks, and great food. We had the jalepeΓ±o margaritas which were delicious, and then we had a special quesadilla which was a birria short rib, which was TO DIE FOR. Will definitely go back next time I want some good local Mexican food.
Drinks and food are so good... staff very friendly
I loved it here!! the food was so delicious, would definitely come here again, nice environment and really good music, had my shazam app open the whole time:)
Pet Friendly!!!Pleasant staff, very attentive. Choices of food was a plus especially for those who are gluten intolerance. I enjoyed it most because I was able to bring my Jack Russell !!!
You can tell the owner had a lot of inspiration regarding the decor and the menu. I sat at the bar and had the cemita and the playa del Carmen drink. They both were amazing. The cemita was huge and messy to eat however it all tasted Amazing. The place is a wonderful addition to Astoria and I recommend it.
One of the best spots in astoria, food is great and drinks are π₯.
Overall best tacos in Astoria. Every option is outstanding. The sandwiches are epic too, and the cocktails are delicious. Just wish the guacamole was as good as everything else here. Recommended!
Birria tacos! The best birria! π
And the only reason I am giving one star was because the servers were great. The food here is definitely not worth the time or money I am a big fan a Mexican food and this restaurant is a disgrace to Mexican food. And the drinks are ok but no worth the price at all.Not a place I would ever go to again.
The music was on point since they played like a Latin house π Im not a fan of the fish taco i had, but enjoyed the ceviche and winter drink special, warm apple cider with choice of liquor. Atmosphere was cute
The food was amazing! And service was great! I would definitely recommend!!
Was ok,I couldve made rice better than them. For 100 dollars I was expecting better.
Great Mexican food! There are definitely better Mexican restaurants in the area but the drinks and the vibe here make up for it. Love the vibe, good food and a good time.
Food is so good, great atmosphere and excellent service, Julio is a great server... Had a lovely evening!
Delicious modern Mexican dishes and amazing mezcal drinks (and others, but I recommend trying the Mezcalitas)
Great atmosphere, Great Food & Great Staff!! The Drinks were delicious & the price was decent. It can get a bit crowded, but if you can get a table, TAKE IT πππ π¦π¦ The Nachos were perfect, the tacos are small but delicious & made with authentic corn tortillas. They have a variety of yummy salsas for your tacos. The shrimp & the fish tacos were the best. Wasnt as thrilled with the pastor ones as I usually am, but they were still good. Definitely recommend whether out with the girls/guys or on a date. The bread pudding desert was warm & delicious with ice cream on top
Friendly staff, great tacos and Margs!
I placed an order for pick up and I am so disappointed. The calamari I ordered was not fully cooked. They used old cabbage on the fish tacos and gave me dried limes. They are falling off. They lost me as a customer.βπ½
Great food and drinks definitely recommending and going back
One of my favorite places to eat in Astoria. Fantastic food and drink. Service is excellent and outdoor seating is heated.
Awesome bread pudding, tasty chicken tacos and very friendly and professional service!
Everything was soooooo yummyyyyy!! The margarita had this smokey taste that Ive never had before. The ceviche was too spicy for me but really good. We tried the fish, carne asada, shrimp and chicken tacos and everything was so good!!! The guac was amazing! It would have been 5 star except for the price.... too expensive for Mexican cuisine considering it was tacos.
Love this place food is great and service is always prompt!
