WOULD NEVER TRUST ANYONE ELSE WITH MY CAR!! Rutillo is not only so accommodating and kind but he knows his craft very well! He is an honest mechanic which is so hard to find these days and that is why I will not go to any other Mechanic besides A1! I have brought anything from my 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe which is my dog car all the way to my 2015 Fiat and I believe he can work on any make or model. Basically being a single female in 2019, theres still times where I feel that I could potentially be taken advantage of, but NOT HERE!! ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND A-1 AUTO REPAIR!!! 👍🏼👍🏼😁😁

My son needed an alternator for his car and we shop around for a good honest and inexpensive auto shop. A1 auto repair said they can repair it same day. They werent kidding! Same day service and the service charge was lower than any other shop around the area. I highly recommend this shop. We found a new home for my sons car repair.

A+. Called around for smog check prices, this place was the cheapest. Made no appointment, dont know if you can, walked in and was helped almost immediately. Took about 30 minutes total and for the price quoted. All staff was super friendly. Will absolutely return for any further automotive needs.

The guy who owns this place is amazing. He is honest and trustworthy. He will let you know what your car really needs. He spent his time checking a number of things on my car and took the time to explain and show things to me, and did not even charge me for the time he had taken to do this. Said bring it back in when you want to get things done and they will take care of it . Found a new place to take my car with a great mechanic. ☺

The smog test was quick, my diesel truck passed (with a good warning that in the future my after market air intake & filter will need the manufacturers California Air Resources Board compliance sticker), and the price was very competitive (and included the certificate). All good. Thank you!

Damaged my evap lines which then failed the test, discontented a vacuum line and did not reconnect it and cracked my evap hose when testing for the leak. Tried to con me into getting repairs done for an arm and a leg. Typical California mechanic up sale bull.

Ive been using A1 for a few years now, with several vehicles, and have always had a good experience. Hes always honest and up front about everything hes going to do, why hes doing it, and how much it will cost. Ive gotten smog tests done here as well as various work done to my vehicles (fuel pumps, starters, suspension, all sorts of stuff).In response to another reviewer, most to all smog shops charge you pass or fail.

If you are looking for a fancy place with leather chairs and a frappachino machine keep on looking. But if you are looking for a place to get your star station smog inspection done fast and easily this might be the place for you. They have a front entrance but you need to drive around the rear of the building in the alley to get the smog test done. It is located near Capistrano Hardwood.

Not a reputable place at all! after not passing smog test the technician stated it didnt pass because the check engine light was on.he gave me a list of things to tell my mechanic that needed repair. I pulled up to my mechanics & stated what happened & my mechanic asked why I was charged as any reputable mechanic/technician shouldnt have even tested it due to the check engine light being on, it shouldve been pass or dont pay.

Always take my cars to A-1 always super nice wouldnt take my cars anywhere else very very trustworthy

I am disabled, I showed up without an appointment to get my diesel truck smogged. They got me in very quickly, bada boom bada bing, passed no problems and I was in and out within 15 minutes, very polite, and was charged less than anyplace else I had checked. Two thumbs up 👍
