Beautiful hand crafted works of art curated bringing a wide range of products - leather bags, responsibly made clothing, jewelry, crafted wood boards and bowls, bath salts and more. Friendly and helpful, the owner shared background stories of the artist and their products. A wonderful small business with an eye for finding talent.
This used to be one of my favorite places to shop pre pandemic. Popped in there recently and was horrified at the customer service. I’m not sure if there is new ownership or new management. But regardless, no excuse. The staff was unfriendly, unhelpful, rude and seemed out out that I was in the store trying to make a purchase.
Great spot to find local, eclectic goods
Local artisan products, expensive though
I went to Makers Market on a whim a few days ago with my brothers girlfriend aka one of the most awesome women I know. We were browsing for a gift for my brother to celebrate his graduation from his apprenticeship program, but instead got caught up trying on all the amazing jewelry this store has to offer with the assistance of the lovely Claire. I manage a fine jewelry store and let me tell you, if I thought there was any chance I could have stolen Claire away I would have because she was fantastic! We had so much fun with her. She was so knowledgeable about all the designers and pieces and was never pushy with us. As we were about to leave empty handed, a beautiful knife in the front display case caught our eyes. My brother is an avid knife collector and this particular piece not only had a Damascus steel blade, but the handle was made from fossilized mammoth tusk. We decided he needed it and split the cost. When we gave it to him last night I swear his eyes bugged out of his head. I was so happy to be giving him something so truly unique! As for Claire, I reached out to the owners to sing her praises and was just informed that the day after our visit she was promoted to store manager! I couldnt be happier for her and wish her a ton of success. I will definitely be back, hopefully to get something for myself!
I fly into San Jose a couple times a month for work (from Manhattan) and stay at the Valencia Hotel so I stopped by this store to check out their products and I was pleasantly surprised to find some really high quality backpacks. Beautifully made. I bought two (one for my husband). We usually get our backpacks custom made from Filson so it says a lot that we are still really happy with our purchases from Makers Market. Excellent experience
I ordered the Wood Serving Board for my moms birthday and she absolutely loved it. The product arrived in the nick of time and was an elegant addition to my mothers kitchen, which made for the perfect gift. Even the packaging was awesome! The fact that all of the products are made in the USA was just icing on the cake.If you are looking for an awesome gift idea, Id definitely recommend Makers Market.
No money back only store credit.... Bought an item for a gift, but the person didnt like it. Came two days later to learn that they only provide store credit and no money back... only buy here if you 100% sure you want the product. I was very disappointed.
Great selection of unique items. I had a question about an item and a promotional discount they were offering before I was going to drive all the way down. I called quite a few times during business hours to ask my question but no one ever answerd. I finally sent an email and did get a response. The gentleman at the store aplogized and took care of me. I think he was a manager. The price points are a little high but to be expected.
Makers Market is the perfect place to buy unique gifts for everyone in your life. I specifically love the leather bags they carry from top makers from around the country.
Very professional, let me return a necklace out of state to get a nicer one without any hesitation!
Great variety of craftsmanship for yourself, or special gifts.
I purchased a mens bracelet for my husband at the Santana Row store on 3/24/18 and the owner of the store Suzy Ekmin made an ugly comment, stating that people who purchased these bracelets were not right in the head? I took this as a slur to the LGBTQ community and I will never shop there again
Great place for lots of homemade gift options from pottery to fresh jams!
Original items. Reasonable prices
Friendly staff and carefully curated selection of goods.
I like to go to markers market
Beautiful, Fair Trade, hidden gem!
Great place to shop
A shop specializing in local crafts, it offers a multitude of different things for sale: from candles to T-shirts, from leather bags to ceramics and ethnic jewels. Basically a good place to go hunting for an idea for a gift. The staff is very courteous
You wrote a review for Makers Market One hour ago5.0 star rating 2/26/2019It makes me a little nervous buying at Santana Row because its so easy to spend too much money, but this store is really nice. Its filled with tons of locally made items, so its helping to support our communities when I shop here. They have candles, backpacks, notebooks, coffee cups, clothes, almost everything. And they have small festivals outside where they serve wine and you can mix with the same manufacturers.
