First experience, and the young Filipino dude ( cant remember his name) was so friendly. He showed me around the place and recommended some really nice cigars. Ive already called some buddies and told them we have to visit, BBQ, have a nice cigar and relax. I just stopped in expecting a smoke shop, but was pleasantly surprised to see that this place is a whole lot more than just a smoke shop. Im getting the guys together to come and hang out and chill like gentlemen!

The cigar selection is great! The cats working here are friendly and very knowledgeable, and the outdoor area is shaded by the trees and tables are spaced out well. I highly recommend coming here for a great afternoon in the San Jose area

Definitely the funkiest cigar store Ive ever been to. The guys that work there pretty nice. They have an offbeat but decent selection of cigars. The prices are pretty good too.

For what it is, they’re excellent. A friendly and welcoming atmosphere even if you’re a n00b when it comes to cigars. They provide a cutter and lighters if you’re not equipped with your own. Enjoy your Mancudo or Cohiba in their outdoor patio away from “everyone” due to its location tucked away in an industrial area to not offend those that hate the smell of smoke.

West Coast Cigars is local favorite local cigar shop for the selection of sticks and the funky, down home convivial collection of cigar smokers inhabiting the interior.Im a desert dweller from Tucson, AZ and have my own favorite set of favorite cigar shops in Arizona. I love each for different reasons. I grew up here in the Valley (left in 75) to return only infrequently.Yes, there is a walk in humidor and several other display humidors in different spots inside. The high dollar sticks appear to be within eye sight of the cash register. I bought a ten buck Joya Red Nicaraguan and sat back in a leather chair to enjoy a medium bodied cigar, share conversation and watch their flat screen TV. Two guys had a chess game going on the table in front of me. There was no extra fee or minimum charge to sit there and smoke. Bravo!Half the fun for my day was the hunt for that right cigar. OK, there is a bit of sticker shock from Arizona where a smaller percentage of the taxes go to the State. There were cigars here I havent seen at my local shops. Maybe its just owner preference. Cigars are about one third more expensive here in California. Plus, some of the higher end Padrons are way more expensive.Smoking at West Coast Cigar was no problemo. The business is housed in an aging San Jose wood construction house. There is unpaved parking around it. It looks like there are areas outside the building to smoke as well. I even noticed chairs circling a fire pit. I could think of some warm summer evenings of smoking pleasure there. It was a cold, January day though. It was inside or nothing.Ill be back to West Coast Cigars after visiting some of the other Valley Cigar businesses. It is my go to place for now. The combination of an old San Jose house with the current selection of sticks and eclectic client makes it a good place to relax and have a quality cigar.Oh, I didnt ask about corkage or anything about liquor consumption. Ill ask on my next visit.

What a little gem. If its your first time dont be fooled by the outside appearance. When you walk in its a wonderful courtyard for smoking and just enjoying the day. The store has a great selection of cigars and sodas. I would call if you can BYOB prior to going. The people are friendly and knowledgeable.

Funky cigar lounge a little off the beaten track- friendly and informative help and a nice selection of cigars. A bit pricey but its still worth it because of how knowledgeable the dude was. Sorry Ive forgotten his name.

Absolutely love this place! Wish I could go more often, but none of my friends like to smoke cigars like I do.Either way, the dozens of times I have come here over the year, I have never had a bad experience. West Coast has a great walk in humidor with a ton of variety and at good prices as well. What is always nice to is the employees are very friendly and always try to help you out to find that perfect smoke for the day.In addition, there is a good amount of sofas/seats inside with a nice TV with cable inside. When the weather is nice, you can even sit outside on the grass and there are tons of seats out there. They also BBQ on occasion and have various events.Wish I had more people to go with, but even the regulars are easy to talk to. This is easily my first place to choose to go to in the San Jose area.

What happened to all the name brand cigars? Not even a single Padron in the house. Most of the cigars here now you can find on the bottom shelf of your local neighborhood smoke shop...next to the Swishers and bongs.

Friendly casual spot to enjoy a cigar. Its not upscale but it is a very homey, club feel. There is a fire pit outside and plenty of seating.

Every time I go here Ive encountered the most friendly and helpful staff. Customer service is a lost art, but these guys all have it in spades. I never think twice about spending money here knowing it goes to support people who have knowledge and passion for what they do. Keep it up, and please never change.

The place is hard to find but it is very small mom and pop. Folks there are friendly. Quite a good selection. Recommend supporting them.
