We were so pleased with the professionalism of everyone from S&G from start to finish. The installers did a great job and we LOVE the new carpet! Pricing was very reasonable compared to other companies. But what puts them over the top is their customer service. The communication from Shawna was excellent. I called S&G and others for a quote and Patti at S&G gave us the best price and product. We had Vancouver XL Series Kelvin Oak installed in the kitchen, living room, hall way and bath. The Vancouver XL Series is almost a quarter of an inch thick and has a 20 mil wear layer. They removed underlayment in the kitchen, part of the living room and the bathroom because of the different levels because of the vinyl that was on top of existing underlayment. They could have just left it and installed underlayment in the living room an hall way but that would have been one sixteenth higher if they would have filled in the living room and hallway with three eights ply wood so they installed underlayment throughout the same rooms mentioned and installed the vinyl flooring. Heimes and Geraldo did a great job installing the flooring. It was like they were installing it in there own home. All the people worked on and help us were great Pat, Craig, Janessa, Camilo, Heimes, Geraldo and all the rest of the people in the corporate in Sacramento. We used S&G for new floors just as COVID was kicking off. They made it really easy. I called and said what type of flooring I was looking for and they brought some samples over when they measured the space. I had a quote from them in my inbox before they left. It was very easy working with Patti on the order. They stored the flooring until I was ready for the install. The installers did a great job. I look forward to using them with my next flooring job.

I dropped in the S&G Hillsdale location on Friday afternoon of January to find out about replacing carpet with some type of flooring that was easier to clean. I met Shawna who explained the different options. I settled on waterproof core given pets and ease of cleaning up any spills. I brought home 3 different color samples that day and returned them 2 days later - settled on Seattle buckley series - given a rough estimate of $5000 for 2 rms and steps. Scheduled for someone to come measure 2 days later and Lisa came out to measure the 2 rooms and steps and price came out close to $5700 or so given winter sale (510 sq ft including 15 steps) Made a 50 perecent deposit and awaited for in stock flooring to be shipped - which arrived about a week later. All my questions via emails were answered.I scheduled installation to start literally two days later, estimated to take 2 days. Felix and his helper arrived around 9:10 am (given 2 hr window to arrive), they removed carpet and did flooring in two rooms and placed back the baseboard. Second day they came to finish steps. The last step had a rounded edge and they spent a great deal of time making it a rectangular edge instead so built the wooden corners. Thus they needed to come back for third day on a Saturday and finished around 1 pm. They cleaned up after they left and removed any remaining planks. I was quite impressed how beautiful the flooring came out especially the stairs.Since it was done in January, it was easy to get everything done in about 2 weeks from start to finish when company is not so busy. It would help if someone is home and around as their equipment set off our fusebox. Even one of the managers dropped by on first day to check out the work. We moved all our furniture ourselves but you have option to pay $75 for them to move them.

We just had an AMAZING experience with Alicia. She was very helpful, attentive and very knowledgeable! She wasnt pushy and was always eager to help with all of the questions we had, even after she had walked away. Were very happy we chose this location. She was very understanding and patient with our three year old running around :-)! We definitely recommend this location, it was great!

The installers arrived on time. They were polite and wore their masks when entering the home. They did a wonderful job installing the bathroom flooring in both rooms. The job was completed earlier than expected. They cleaned up after themselves. I am a repeat customer because S&G are reliable and do what they promised to do. I would recommend S&G for flooring needs.

Really great value, products, and installation. We had new waterproof core laminate flooring installed to replace a badly-dented bamboo floor in our kitchen and an old carpet in the adjoining family room. We chose a grey-washed oak wood look. We also replaced our cracked entryway tile with a waterproof core laminate in a stone pattern.Customer service was very helpful, courteous and professional. The only problem we had were a few miscommunications about appointments due to there being so many different offices and locations to deal with. Other than that, I highly recommend S & G. We have had nothing but compliments from everyone who sees our new flooring.

Great service, from consultation to final installation. Expectations set and met perfectly and professionally at every step.

1300 square feet of carpet installation postponed the morning of... for almost an entire week. Refused to find an earlier date. Had to get our own truck, track down the carpet and found our own installers, get rid of the carpet ( as we had a very tight deadline). All furniture had been removed prior per their instructions and guess they thought waiting a week would not cause an issue.

It is disappointing when as a customer you feel appreciated when your looking to buy floors from S & G and making you feel like your their #1 priority until they do the install on your floors and make you feel like your an inconvenience to their schedule when their installers clearly made not one or two but 4 mistakes and the worst one was the installer forgot to place the washer drain hose in the drain pipe which we paid for the service and it resulted in water all over the floor and into the bathroom we are remodeling. Aside from that the installer did not test of the door would close to my garage after he installed the floor so they had to send another installer to shave the door to close. The 3rd issue was the installers did not fully install the floor which would expose the flooring under my vanity. The 4th one is a small issue but more the principal of the matter that the installers accidentally took my 5 gallon bucket. When dealing with the customer service manager Mike multiple times it is his intention that everything is an accident and makes customers feel like it’s their problem not S & G as a company. Tried calling the store manager and they apparently don’t work any weekends even with a retail store open weekends. No response and my contractor is charging me for the days that we cannot finish the bathroom due to S & G putting rework caused by their installers as a bottom priority. If the goal of the customer service manager Mike is to make a customer feel it’s their fault for all the issues S & G installers did than he is definitely succeeding in that goal versus putting the customers first and making it a #1 priority to makes the customer feel important and valued for their business.

Weve been doing business w/S&G for 40+ years. Over the years theyve installed kitchen and bath flooring and carpeting. Twice on our kitchen flooring weve needed repairs and they came right out assessed the problem and had their guys come out to fix it. Jesus and his partner came out and within 45 minutes had the floor repaired. Id recommend S&G in a heartbeat.

We ran into a little problem with part of the flooring and Mike, the District Manager came out immediately and the situation was quickly resolved. We had two different crews at our home on two different dates. One installed carpeting on our stairs, hallway and two bedrooms upstairs. The other crew installed tile in our entrance on another day. Both crews worked as a team and started working upon their arrival. When the job was finished, they did an excellent job in cleaning up.

I had carpet replaced in one bedroom during a sale. I loved the new carpet and padding SO much I splurged to replace the master bedroom too. I even had them replace my old baseboards. It feels like a new home.

The installers Mario and Jose were excellent. The rest of the experience was awful. We were made to buy more flooring than we needed. Not only were we charged for the extra material we were charged labor based on the amount of material that was ordered.So we were charged labor per square foot for flooring that was never installed.I asked the store manager why they would not take back unopened boxes of hardwood flooring that was a stock item and why I was being charged for labor that wasnt performed. The flooring she said would literally have to be thrown in the dumpster. The labor for the unused flooring was because they had to pick it up and bring it to my house.Well if they didnt pad the job on the estimate there would be no need to bring extra flooring to the job site, Manager said that is the way the have done business for 25 years. A store can make its own return policy I get that but to charge for labor that wasnt performed sounds illegal to me.

Weve had them install carpet, vinyl floor tiles and laminate in three different locations and they all went in with out a hitch. Easy to select the right product for the correct use. Great installers.

Mary was great and easy to deal with, the warehouse staff also was good. The forklift girl was excellent and helped hand load my flooring.
