This place is the worst. I would not recommend this place.We had a windshield repair service, first this place didn’t have the glass, so they rescheduled the appointment to next weekend.The next weekend they put on a duplicate glass, and did not calibrate the car sensors like rain, auto lane change etc. They scheduled an appointment for calibration which was not successful because it wasn’t an original glass.Safelite again scheduled another appointment 1 week apart, saying they cannot change the glass as the glue is wet. So we come back to this shop after a week, guess what, the glue is still wet! So they can’t do anything. Are these guys even professionals? They don’t know their own products? Note this, all these appointments were booked by Safelite only.So we are back to this place after 3 weeks now. Giving the glue enough time to dry. We have been using the duplicate glass with no calibration for 1.5 months now.We are 15 min late to the appointment, there were no reminders of the appointment from Safelite, now we are at fault and they won’t take in the vehicle to fix!I requested them that this is their wrong doing and they should atleast consider taking in the vehicle, but no, the receptionist had no regrets or guilt whatsoever.Its been close to 2 months since our claim, and 1.5 months we are using a duplicate glass.

Messed up my rubber seal on windshield wiper fir my Mercedes. Knew they had but didnt mention when I picked up car after 4 hr wait.I took it back they said they needed to order part havent heard from them in 2 weeks. Not acceptable at all should give 1 star not 2 but accidentally hit the 2 star

I am extremely disappointed I have never had issues with this company in the past. I ordered a glass replacement. I understood there was a shortage on auto glass at the moment so I was willing to wait 2 weeks with a rental car. Figured I would have a positive experience as I always have so I also did not call another company. I was lucky to find a rental car through all this as well. Day of my repair comes, I take the day off work and patiently wait, even after Safelite confirmed the day before. The day of my appointment I get a phone call at 8am from the technician telling me they don’t have my glass in stock and won’t have it for another 2 weeks. I go ahead and agree to the new date and also beg the rental car company to please let me keep my car. Out of suspicion and caution I contacted Safelite to confirm my appointment. Mind you I never heard from Safelite to update me, to confirm, cancel, or tell me they don’t have my glass. Unfortunately this is almost months long ordeal. They stated they don’t have me on their schedule…. Even after I spoke to the technician 2x’s to confirm dates for my insurance and rental car company. I understand we are all busy however I am so surprised by all of this. Even now if I contact another provider it will be a whole month wasted. Very disappointed————————————————————————————-Yes I’m sure you are very sorry that is why you had the time to reply to this google review within a few minutes but I have been waiting for that call back from you all day that never happened? Yeah everyone just avoid these guys don’t waste your time because they sure will waste yours.

Safelite managed to hold to my appointment and repair a rock chip to a windshield quickly and well while I was on-site. The technician was skilled at his work, courteous, and helpful. Easy to arrange insurance for glass damage due to the good integrations with Geico.

My wife called to get a quote for a new windshield Thursday September 3rd and we were going to go through or insurance. We have a 2008 gmc Acadia with a heads up display. The person on the phone stated that our vehicle has rain sensors in the windshield (it does not) and that because we have the heads up display that the glass was going to be more expensive because of a special coating on the inside to allow the display to show up on the inside of the glass. LOL. they fist said it would cost $900 without insurance and just under $600 with insurance. Its not a Ferrari. After my wife ended the phone call I told her Id check someplace els and guess what?! $340 total with Installation, this place came to our house for no extra cost, and the heads up display works just fine..... because its simply a light reflecting onto the glass. I feel that safelite tried to take advantage of my wife because of her being a woman and not knowing anything about cars. I do. The only reason they get 2 stars is because the lady on the phone was pleasant while trying to rip us off.

Worst experience ever, avoid at all costs. They came to my house to put a new windshield on my car and it was the worst worksmanship ive ever seen in my life. Left over glue everywhere, scratches that werent here before, dents on the side from their machine to hold the glass. VERY VERY POOR quality. They hire just about anyone with a pulse to work here and arent trained. They do horrible jobs and wonder why they have such bad reviews. I cant believe AAA uses Safelite exclusively for their windshields, they are awful.

It was a very bad service there. Please avoid technician Francisco. He installed the windshield to my car, but he reused the windshield seal and it not align correctly . Then when i noticed then he spent around 15 mins to fix it but not working. Then he started to blame because of the aftermarket windshield. WHAT A BAD EXCUSE! If the part dont work then this company is not suppose to give it to costumer then! I am in fear that the water will leaked into my car! Please avoid it!!!!!!

They were extremely polite and got my service completed in a timely manner once they got started. They had the best prices for the many quotes that I received. They have a waiting area with water and coffee as they are completing your work. They also have a glass opening to view the work area. You also cant beat the warranty and convenience of the locations.

Safelite fixed a chip in my windshield. I used a Geico app to set up the appointment. They also replaced the wiper blades. They were fast and efficient and I was out of there within a half hour.

Do not go here.I called them 3 times to confirm my appointment and parts (which was already 3 weeks out from when I scheduled the appointment), and then when I showed up they didnt honor the appointment and told me to call my insurance to reschedule. What a huge waste of time. They took no responsibility even though I had contacted them several times.

Quick, professional and upfront with costs/procedures. I had a rear quarter panel window replaced on my Subaru WRX hatchback and it was done within 30 minutes on a Friday afternoon. This was scheduled through Farmers Insurance, so I was able to get the original Subaru glass.

Absolutely stay away from this place if you value convenience and customer service. When I paid, they charged my card twice. I called immediately and raised the issue. I was promised that by the end of the day the pending charges would be dropped. It maxed out my credit card and has caused a massive headache. I was serviced on Thursday, it’s the end of Saturday and my credit card is still locked up with these charges. I’ve called multiple times and every time they say that they can’t do anything about it- their system glitched. I can’t buy anything for multiple days because safelight made a mistake. The employees explain to me why this every time but do nothing about it

Very poor service, I waited for 10 days after filing my windshield replacement, I got call my glass claim is approved and come for repair on my appointment date which is after 2 days, but next day appointment got cancelled saying its not approved, asked to provide VIN number so that they can send for claim approval, how come 1 day before claim was approved now they said they have not sent for claim approval. Really very poor service, no customer satisfaction at all.

The tech staff is very friendly and enthusiastic serving customers. For whatever reasons (bad day, unhappiness with job, racial discrimination, etc), the front desk person did not want to help me. I had to approach a technician Alfonso directly at the parking lot to ask for help. Alfonso was great and he repaired my windshield rock chip in 10 minutes. Another friendly staff approached me to ask me about my complaint. As I was driving off the store manager called me to listen to my experience in the store. The store is general good except for my being ignored at the front office.

1 star for the in shop location. 5 stars for their mobile tech service.my cars windshield was installed incorrectly in shop. moulding clips were broken and they didnt bother vacuuming the glass pieces inside the car. I called mamagwment and they came out to my location to do warranty replacement. it was a spotless install. huge difference in professionalism. I would recommended having them come out to you instead of visiting their shop.

I went in for a simple windshield replacement. They said it would be done in an hour and half; it took them 5 hours to replace my windshield. They said they found rust and fixed it but they never called me. Last time I checked anytime work needs to be done that it is not on the work order requires customer approval; they never got my approval. I picked up my truck and later that day part of my cowl fell out at which point I found several screws missing and laying out not installed. After replacing my cowl myself I noticed that one of the mounting tabs for the windshield was missing. Upon further inspection by another glass shop (not Safelite) they said the gap between my roof and top of my windshield was excessive. I have contacted Safelite several times and rather than pay for another shop to get my glass replaced properly they want me to sign a release of liability form that is actually partially illegal. They are refusing to talk to me until I sign this form. So now I will seeking legal action against them as well as contacting their CEO directly. DO NOT HAVE THEM WORK ON YOUR CAR!!! DO NOT SIGN THEIR RELEASE OF LIABILITY FORM BECAUSE IT IS PARTIALLY ILLEGAL!!! They will not take liability for any work they do. They certainly have not taken liability for any improper work they have done to my truck.

Just wanted to give your employee Dolmis a shout out. You are very lucky to have him on your team. He is a great communicator. Reached out to me to see if he could come early. I said absolutely. It took him about 45 minutes to replace my windshield and install the new wiper blades. Came back in and let me know what was going on and that he was finished. Locked up and brought me the key. Really great person. It was great working with him... i was in between clients and he was able to help me out and work around that a bit. VERY impressed. Thank you, Dolmis.

Did not have the necessary parts for my 1994 Volvo passenger motorized window and called me noon the day of the appointment to notify me. Not a happy camper about about delayed notice. Fortunately, I did not spend the day waiting around between the hours of 8:30AM to 1:30PM. Would not recommend for foreign, older vehicles (circa 1990).

I had my chip fixed. Unfortunately, during the process it cracked and the guy guaranteed me that it would not crack further. Sadly, it did. What about the guarantee? Nope, dont stand by their work. So I made an appt to get my windshield repaired and after waiting 30 minutes they greeted me and then 10 minutes later came back to tell me that they didnt have the parts. I spoke to the manager and he told me that he would give me a discount. Then I came back yesterday, to get the windshield replaced and guess what? They didnt have a part and they had no note about a discount. As of today, I still have the crack. There are other places that do windshield replacement in the area. Use them! No respect for customers.

They finally looked at my car 40 minutes past my appointment time. During my stay, two other cars were brought back by unhappy customers for installation problems. Only half the staff understands how face masks work. I dont know about you, but I have difficulty trusting someone with my car who hasnt even mastered the very challenging face mask yet.

Scheduled my appoinment well in advance. They had ample time to arrange the windshield and the calibration for the sensors on my Mercedes E350. Dropped the car at 9am, was told that I would get a call to pick up in under 2 hours. Nobody called! I called after 12 noon and was told that the techincians were working on the car & that the pick up is at 4:30. I get a call at 3pm and they expressed their inability to change the windshield, citing a dismal reason that the wrong part was ordered by them. Part being the actual windshield. What a waste of time!

Very poor service. They do it quick and hope for the best, often it works good enough but not for me, I was unlucky. They replaced my windshield twice, been there 6 times for the same job, wrong glass, wait two weeks, seals were not right first time it was replaced, wait two weeks for next available appointment, lost parts and had to order new ones ... still waiting on these... 7 weeks for the parts, total of over 15 weeks and still the job is not complete. Takes weeks between appointments if They do something wrong.I tried contacting their Customer Care Team during the experience... several times. I talked to a representative who assured me they would contact me the next day to discuss the issues... but never got a call back. had to go to the store. They admitted the parts had not been ordered. After another week I finally got the part. They mad an appoint to install at my home without contacting me. I was at work so I asked them to leave the part so I could install it myself, no desire to reschedule or discuss.

The headliner was loose after the windshield was replaced and they told me it was loose before the windshield was installed. I know my car and the loose headliner was intact before the work they did. They didnt believe me and that is insulting. No integrity there and even if it was loose before the right thing to do would be to extend customer service and fix it. So they told me to do it myself. Will never use their services again.

Horrible and very unprofessional front desk. They behave like they don’t need any business. No clear communication and never responds to calls. Tried calling them directly and through their customer service centre still could not reach them. Went personally to shop then lady on front desk said she don’t have any info or comments on my case, call next day on direct no which no one responds. Wish I could give them negative ratings.Yeah on top of it when I requested specifically Wednesday 01/08 appointment they gave for Tuesday01/07 saying it’s on Wednesday. Theres nothing like getting a chip in your windshield when you are on your way to work during a pandemic. Especially it was a rock kicked up from a Prius, I think thats the worst part. Anyway, headed straight to Safelite on Stevens Creek & these guys had me in & out within 30 mins. I was originally going to pay out of pocket but talking to the front desk clerk I was swayed into going thru my insurance. Within 5 mins of talking to her she did some button pushing on the computer & I ended up paying $0 & was out in 30, not a bad outcome for a Friday. The work the service tech did was perfect. Thanks to the front desk clerk for working with me on this! I think she could tell I was annoyed when I walked in but was still really nice :) Anyway, I highly suggest this location...

I had a scheduled appointment from 1:00-5:00. I got a call at 4:30 to let me know theyd be there between 6:00-6:30. And he offered no opportunity for them to make good and reschedule me. I would have to essentially go to the back of the line and just find the next available appointment (in 3 weeks). So I waited. I waited until 7:00. He never showed. So, yeah, I was sitting around waiting at my office on a Friday evening until 7:00. No call; no text. All numbers that I had did not respond.

Had to get my windshield replaced and Safelite was very quick and responsive. Whenever I called there was a person (not a robot!) who picked up quickly and was very helpful when I asked questions. I had to reschedule once and it was an easy process because they were so responsive. I had mobile service, the specialist arrived earlier than the estimated time, and was done with the job in about an hour.

Amazing, quick, friendly, quality service. I was able to get a mobile appointment in a day. This made everything so much more convenient because the service man came right to me. Martin was very friendly and informative. He did an amazing job with the window but also left my car looking better than new. He vacuumed out the glass and buffed out scratches left behind. I had been serviced in 2018 at Sacramento. However, they didnt provide a good service to me and left some problems. I dont know how long the warranty I have, so I tried to get help from them. When I came to this store, I told them what issue i have. Theyre very nice to help me even I came here several times and talked about my issue. Havent even had my repair appointment yet and already all I have is a sour taste in my mouth. Safelite just changed my appointment day, and pushed it back two days, without even calling me to ask if that time/day works for me. I have never spoken to a real person at this company, and every time I try to call, I sit on hold for over 30 minutes before I give up and assume no human works behind the desk. Ill gladly update my review after I have my actual appointment, but for now I am disappointed in their customer service.

Had windshield replaced, turned out it wasn’t installed properly because water entered the passenger floorboard. Took it back to have it replaced, they told me it was the sunroof drain (which was not true). Tried to get another warranty appointment in store but they asked for my number to call me back, which they never did. Decided to go to another Safelite location because this was ridiculous. The other location was more than happy to replace my windshield.

I had Safelite MOBILE technicianQuang come check out my car and he did an excellent job explaining everything to me at my apartment complex. Quang did not overcharge me. Instead, he explained that my chip was so minor that they could not fix it (smaller than a dime and not deep). He did not just fix it and then charge me $200 for something that would not have improved. That is a great policy and they did not charge me for coming out to check my car. I now know to trust their mobile technicians from here on out.

I scheduled an early appointment here to get my windshield replaced, but when I arrived I was informed that the windshield they received had a big scratch down the middle of it and they had tried to buff it out. When assessed, I determined that I didnt want a defective windshield (already have one of those). I then drove home. All in all getting there, assessing the defective windshield, and getting home took about an hour and fifteen minutes. If they had just called me before my appointment or sent me a picture of the windshield, I could have saved that time. Now I have to come back between work trips to get it done.

My car got broken into and we are insured with Geico. Geico seems to have a strong preference for using Safelite so we scheduled our glass repair for the first available time, which was 2-3 weeks from the time of our initial claim. A few days before our appointment, a Safelite rep called to let me know that our windows was on an indefinite backorder. We drive a 2019 Honda Pilot, so its not some obscure or old car. They said they would call me once they were able to get my window. Its been two weeks since they canceled my appointment. I have been on hold for the past 2 hours trying to get a customer representative agent on the phone.

They were recommended by Geico to fix rear vent window. Insurance deductible was 500 and I get there and they say it’ll be 493. I said that’s way too steep and the guy says well they have to replace the molding around the edge, as if that explains it. I left and found two other places that would come to my work and one did it for 265 the same day. I think they take advantage of the fact they get these insurance referrals and will try to screw you.

I scheduled and a.m. appointment thinking it would be done in the morning. When I got there at 8 AM, they said it would be done by 5 PM. They then told me a technician would be ready to look at my windshield before I left. After waiting for 15 minutes, I called some other places to get my windshield replaced.I found a place that quoted me $200 less than safelight. 15 minutes after leaving Safelite, I got a call from them that they finally had a technician ready to look at my windshield.Terrible service. I dont even have my glass replaced yet. So far, they have dropped a call after I did the phone push the numbers and wait thing. Then they gave me wrong information - one person scheduled an appointment and told me that everything was goood to go, but then after I demanded to talk to someone in the shop, she admitted that the glass would not come in by that date. Also they announced that they would charge me $100 deductible when I had HEARD the AAA agent tell them that there would be no deductible for me. So why do I feel that everyone there I talk to is interested in only processing my case, rather than serving me as a customer? Complete disregard for the value of my time.

I had a very small rock chip in my pickup windshield so small I hardly noticed it, but I heard those can make the window crack so I went to get it fixed.It was $138. They tapped on the mark with a pointed tool and spider webs cracks started to appear. Then they put a suction cup on the mark to blow in the resin, then the windshield cracked. Now it is $1000 job. I did not need to fix the rock chip since there were no cracks but after 5 minutes of them fiddling with the window it was ruined

The last couple of reviews are exactly what I experienced so far. I scheduled an appointment for mobile repair 2 weeks ago. No call, no show. I call them and they said that the glass for my truck was damaged, they can reschedule a week out. I will update when it gets installed hopefully there are no other issues.

Bad customer service.First they got my windshield wrong (his explanation) - sorry it’s my fault I came thinking it wasn’t rain sensor glass because most people don’t KNOW how to describe their glass they think the little dots around the windshield are the sensors .They they schedule me a week after ( my windshield crack expanded and so I called them back to have them early that my appointment and their Safelite main office had me on hold for 35 min until a woman from this area in Stevens creek said yes will be there tomorrow JUST TO SHUT ME UP AND HANG UP THE CALL . The next day nobody showed and I called them back ANOTHER 35 min just to tell me they had no record of someone talking to me ! That’s the most rude and ridiculous thing I eve experience with this “stress relief company”

Called for a windshield repair on march 31st. Said they were too busy to make any mobile repairs for the foreseeable future and the closest opening for shop repair was April 18th. Arrived at the shop and over heard the staff saying that they were flying technicians in from out of state to try to catch up on a backlog of hundreds of work orders.Staff was friendly and the work workmanship was good, but the Car was returned with a dirty windshield and the front floor was not vacuumed as promised by the technician when the car was dropped off.

Horrible experience! I am a very patient person who finally ran out of patience. My car glass window was broken on June 7th. I reported the incident as I was sitting in my car to my insurance company who referred me to Safelite. The first mobile repair appointment wasnt available for 2 weeks but I made the decision to wait. The day the mobile technician was to arrive Safelite called me to tell me they had the wrong glass and would have to order the correct one. They said it would arrive in 4 days. Never heard from them after 6 days so called and they told me the part should have arrived but it didnt and they would check on it and get back to me. A week later after no call called again and was told the part did arrive but they couldnt get me scheduled for an appointment for a week at a different location 25 miles away! Avoid Safelite at all cost! Poor service, no follow up and they dont care how much they inconvenience you.

The service speed and quality of work here are excellent. I had the misfortune of cracking a windshield on a brand new car and the team here eventually got everything back in as good as factory condition despite an entire windshield replacement. I scheduled everything though my insurance provider and the entire process was relatively painless with minimal paperwork.My main complaint is the team cracked two plastic moldings around the windshield. They replaced them free of charge but when I asked about it they explained that usually happens with this kind of car and it should just be part of the replacement process. Which leads me to wonder why it wasnt ordered to begin with. It was taken care of eventually and I wasnt charged but I had to drive my car for a week with a really awful maddening wind whistle because those parts werent ordered ahead of time. Not a huge deal but could have been better.

It took me three different appointments to get the correct glass installed, only to have the windshield leaking as soon as it started raining 6 weeks later. Getting the leaking windshield fixed has proven a challenging experience due to lack of availability of appointments and supply issues. In my opinion, if you deliver a faulty job it should be #1 priority to get that corrected, but here I am driving around with a leaking windshield. Your insurance will want you go here but do yourself a favor and find another place to do the service.

Was on hold for 10 minutes. They give the excuse of being very busy and then asked for personal information just for a quote on a windshield replacement. I am not comfortable with that. I called private glass companies and recieved better service.

After waiting 6 days for a repair they broke my new glass. On hold for hours trying to get a priority fix. Extremely frustrating. They claim fast and efficient on their voice recording. That claimIs just an out and out lie. Most frustrating is their affiliation with AAA. There seems to be some kickbacks going on, with AAA reps upselling Safelite services. This is one broken business.

We scheduled a mobile appointment for windshield replacement. I waited around for most of the morning, and they called to let me know that the new windshield that they ordered had a chip in it. They were waiting for a new one that had just been ordered, and they would try to come out that afternoon. I got a call back that the new one never arrived, and they asked me to come to the shop that following Monday to get my windshield replaced. I arrived at the scheduled time, dropped of my car and walked to the mall with my 2 kids in the heat to kill some time. When we got to the mall I got a call from our Safelite technician, who told me that they did not have the correct windshield for my car. We walked back to the shop, and I let them know that I was very frustrated by the inconvenience on multiple occasions, and asked that they come out to our house within the next week to replace the windshield. The receptionist took my information and promised to call the next day. He never called, and we went with another company.

Replaced my windshield for my Mazda 6 here, as it was recommended by Geico. I like how job was done. All my staff like navigator, FastTrack etc even sticks were placed back. Waiting time for windshield being ordered is fair enough, just a week. I will see how it will be after carwash and when weather be rainy. But so far so good.

During a long drive with my brand new car across the country, my windshield got a small chip in it. I was nervous about having to a replace a windshield on a brand new car, but Safelight was so helpful and I learned I only needed to fix the hole, not the entire windshield and it was all covered by my insurance! Jon, the repair technician, was very prompt and was very professional. I appreciated the emails beforehand to let me know when he would arrive and even a phone call to check in by Jon. He did an incredible job, was very easy to talk to and I appreciate his help with what could have been a stressful situation. He even cleaned all of my other windows on the car! Very impressed and would recommend them to anyone in the San Jose area.

*Copied from my yelp review, because theyre not worth the time of writing up a new one*Came in for a small crack repair. Technician warned me that there was a possibility of the crack becoming larger but it being purely cosmetic since it was filled in. While that did happen, my complaint was the sudden appearance of what the technician later explained where pits or abrasions all across the windshield which had not been there before. He said they were caused by rocks hitting it and that they had no tool capable of causing that damage. And that the only reason i was noticing them now was because people tend to pay more attention after things get worked on. Thanks, i guess my biggest mistake was having Safelite fix my crack so that i could notice all the other things that werent there before my repair. Shoddy work. Would literally recommend any other company for windshield repair.@definitely personalized response from the owner: since you clearly didnt read this, the integrity of the glass of my windshield is fine. It just looks like someone tried to map out the constellations on it with a drill bit.

My experience with Safelite Autoglass was absolutely horrible. My windshield was cracked while i was driving on the freeway so I called to get it fixed. They came out to my house and fixed it no problem. Then the windshield started to crack out of the original crack. On the pamphlet I received from them from the original repair job, it stated that if the glass was to begin cracking out of the originally repaired hole, the entire windshield would be replaced on them. I called the number provided and scheduled an appointment in San Jose. The man I scheduled with said that I would be charged a total of $60 for the replacement of the entire windshield. When I got my windshield fixed, the man at the shop slammed me with a $315 dollar bill. I explained to him my understanding of their replacement policy and what the man on the phone had told me the repair would cost. He then explained that because my insurance had paid for the first repair, that the policy of replacing the glass if it cracked out did not apply to me. Confused I explained to him that I had never been informed of this, only that my glass would be replaced if it cracked out! Ultimately, the charges were dropped because apparently I hadnt signed an agreement on the price before the repairs were made. I was so happy to be finished with this stressful mess! Then, I noticed the side paneling on my windshield was popping up. I called them and they explained the panels just needed a dab of glue and it would be fine but they were having a problem getting someone to come to my house in Fremont to do it. Two plus weeks later they never called so I had to call again, and again, and again before I finally was scheduled an appointment. They came to my house to apply the glue and come to find out, when they were putting the panels back on my car when they replaced the glass, they snapped the tabs that locked them in. They then decided to glue them onto the plastic in hopes that I wouldnt notice. Now I have been waiting another two weeks plus for them to order the new panels and to call me back to schedule an appointment. So, once again I was forced to call them to figure out what was going on and the girl tells me, Oh, they actually just came in right now, we were going to call you in a few minutes. Yeah right, fat chance!!! I am so dissatisfied with their service and they had no remorse for what I have been going through, in fact they had attitude with me! Okay, Im ending my rant now but please, if you want to save yourself from this crap DONT CHOOSE Safelite Autoglass.
