Bought a $600 burton board from curated. It required channel inserts to connect the bindings and my board didn’t come with it. Called curated and got voicemail during regular business hours. Called Burton directly and they are sending them to me directly for free, although it will be December 15th by the time I get them.
At first seems illegitimate. Turns out YES it is. It offers nothing special. There’s no deals. You’re essentially taking advice from a stranger who claims they want to know what your personal needs are. If you knew exactly what you needed, why would you ask a stranger, let alone one you never see. This is basically for people who have no idea what they need and saw an add on some form of social media. You only have access to a select variety of gear that will leave you wondering if these people actually care about the diversity that each individual sport has. Each review and recommendation is procured from company website descriptions you ALREADY have access to. Theres literally a 0% chance each “expert” would be able to give a fitting description of each item they suggest. Just another failed attempt at being bold and new. If you want to CURATE, then you should honestly be offering something unique, individual and worth someone’s precious time. This place is a bigger joke than oxyclean. Don’t waste your time. Buy tide pods.
Curated is awesome! If you’re an outdoorsy person looking for some gear to use on future adventures, this is the place to go. You take a quick 3 minute quiz to help the experts understand roughly what you are looking for and then they instantly connect you with one of their experts in that field. These experts are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about virtually any product related to golf, hiking, camping, ski/snowboarding, cycling, and fly fishing.I bought skis gear from their website and love it! One of the best online shopping experiences.
