If you are into incense, this is the place to go. They have an awesome selection. Check out their images to get a sense of what you can find. The owners are a sweet and adorable! Highly recommend this place. Ive purchasing their wonderful products since 2011.
The best place to go for incense. I have been going to this store for nearly a decade, and have watched this store grow. I now live in Ohio and order from them online. Great selection. Great service, very nice and kind owners. If you are ever around, drop by and browse.
Amazing service. Very friendly.
Best incense store in the Bay Area. 100% recommend. They have probably 1000 different types of incense, some I’ve only ever seen in Japan. They have cheap, good quality stuff, but also, high quality rare items as well. This is a great gift for anyone—an old friend, a parent, & even a date! For example, a family friend in their 80s had surgery and said that the incense I gifted her helped with convalescing.Really great quality stuff here. Don’t miss out!
Excellent store!Awesome service!Knowledgeable staffEclectic collection of incense and Japanese vintage gifts, candles teas etc
I absolutely love this place! Ive been getting the Nami Usagi Incense for over 18 years! Hope to be able to support them for years to come!
Beautiful place, many selections, great customer service, helpful and prices are perfect.
My favorite place, please be nice to the owner he is most kind
If you love japanese incense this is an amazing shop to visit. It is one of my favorite shops in San Francisco. I miss it. The owner and employees have always been very kind and helpful in recommendations.l
Possibly the best small shop in Japan Center— Don’t miss out on this place! The owner was super kind and friendly. He threw in a sample of incense for me at the end of check out! Not that you should expect free giveaways of course, but know that this guy really treats people well.Chock full of unique items and a whole ARRAY of different types of incense. If you have even a REMOTE interest in scents, GO HERE. This place has it all. I went for gift shopping, and it exceeded my expectations so well that I didn’t venture anywhere else for gifts!
I love this place. They really are very sweet in there. A person on staff remembered me and gave me free incense with my purchase and also had great insight into their products. I can’t wait to go back I found some incredible incense there!
Lol he have a lot of stuff inside
My boyfriend and I visit often from the North Bay! This is our favorite shop in Japan Town. The owners are always so kind and have such a great selection of items, some even antique. Highly recommend giving Jay and Kotaro a visit.
Adorable shop with really interesting things--bought a soy wax candle, a mini air plant, and some adorable Japanese antiques for Christmas gifts. The prices were great and they packaged them up very nicely in pretty paper and little boxes. Wonderful service, lovely shop!

I love this store. Its an amazing place to get gifts for family and friends, plus I will always buy a little something for myself. Candles, incense and burners, some plants and decorations for your home. Incredibly nice staff, possibly the nicest in all of the Japan Center.
This store sells really cute cups. Theyre known for their scented section. I come here to get their plants that are wrapped in moss so you dont have a potted plant. People at work ask me all the time where I get my plants. Theyre easy to take care of and really beautiful. Make sure you read the instructions for care.
First time in this shop, my first impression great customer service!! I bought some incense and had no idea which ones to buy, there were so many choices :) but the lady was so nice to help me pick some for my bf. Plus I loved everything they had to sell in their shop.
Really neat little gift shop inside the Japan Town mall. The selection of unique plants (and plants in unique pottery) is my favorite part. The owners are also incredibly nice and offer helpful plant tips. Ill be back!

I bought some lovely Daihatsu Sage incense there last year and I will definitely go back next week when I am in SF. The staff in the shop are lovely and they lighted up different types of incense to make sure I was choosing the right one for me.
Nice little store, nice incense and products. Ive gotten some of my favorite incense here! Ive also gotten three different really nice mugs, and a lovely smelling soap! Great place to go for gifts too!The only downside is that the people who work here seem very paranoid. Every time I or anyone I know has gone here, we end up being constantly watched by the staff. I dont know if theyre just waiting to make a sell, but it feels like theyre expecting you to steal something. Which is kind of insulting. Its uncomfortable. I try not to hold this against them too much, Im sure theyve just had a lot of problem with people stealing, and have become overly cautious as a result.
Very friendly store owners. I ended up buying 2 unique cat figurines made in Indonesia. They were packaged in tissue paper and beautiful gift bag. Hands down my favorite shop in Japantown!
My favorite address for incense, mugs, and tea!I love everything they offer, the store is really cute, and they have great decor elements, including plants and Japanese traditional items. I can go to Japantown just for this store! The owners are also very nice, which is a huge plus for me!
Adorable Japanese shop with fair prices. They also sold the cutest matcha bowls and were much friendlier than other shops within the mall.

Great selection of Japanese incense, pottery, and plants. Super helpful and accommodating staff (they were happy to test out any of the incense for us and offer suggestions based on what we liked).
Excellent service, I happened to have lost my keys and the owner /manager was very kind to wait for me late, even leaving a note and phone number on the store front for me to find. Very impressed and thankful for the kind attention
Amazing selection of beautiful, fine incenses for all sorts of occasions and uses. I love the people, very helpful and kind.
This place always has great selection, good service and helpful staff.
Kokedama - those round balls of moss with cute plants shooting out of the top - make nice gifts for the person who has everything. My mom got me one from this shop for $6 and it loves being in the bathroom with me on the windowsill. I should add that I dont have everything, far from it. Im just saying that this would be a nice gift for someone like that -- everyone knows that person. In my case, that happens to be my mom. She also bought one for herself (oh the irony) but it died. This shop also sells mugs, incense, Pacifica scents and other gift-y items. I find their prices to be quite reasonable and the folks that work here are really friendly.
Exceptional service and attention to customers, very broad variety of incenses from Japan and other countries. Highly recommended

Good shopGood peopleGood time for me
What a great way to run a store! I would even go as far as saying other spots could learn a lesson or two from them. Having had a pleasant experience on the items I purchased here on the last visit I made it a point to visit them again (them being the closest store that sells Kusmi teas helped get my fix). This time they didnt have my fav blend however they took my number down and ensured it would be part of their next shipment. I got a call back when it was in stock and even a price adjustment at the old price. Now thats service. Apart from Kusmi and other premium teas I luv their selection of decoration items (incense holders are not my forte though they seem to have a great selection).
