Great place to get cards and other novelty cute things
This is a gem in the Inner Sunset neighborhood. I always find a fun little present, puzzle, candle, card or whatever in here. Go check it out!
I read some of the reviews after visiting the store yesterday and I must say that I agree with the comments about poor customer service. The women who work there are very unpleasant and unprofessional. One of the employees barked at me to use hand sanitizer after stepping into the store while I was in the middle of an in-person conversation with my mother in law. I overlooked the sign because I was admiring the shop’s items. Also, we didn’t receive a “Welcome to Wishbone! How may I help you?” first.I was prepared to spend money on what I came to purchase (which were several books, candles, and baby clothing for a few friends who recently gave birth) but I didn’t want to spend another minute in there because she was so rude. Honestly, she could have approached us with hand sanitizer in her hands and I would have obliged. A kind and yet firm “Welcome to Wishbone. May I offer you some hand sanitizer?” would have been welcomed and appreciated!
I bought an ornament here and when I got home I noticed that ear was crushed when they wrapped it in the store. I brought it back the next day and explained what happened and they refused to exchange it saying that happened too much so all ornament sales are final. They said I would have had to notice the break before I left the store. I still had the wrapping on showing where the employee had wrapped it too tight. They said that is just how the ear is, I showed the other ear that was not broken and they said I could buy another one! Overall cute shop but stuff is way overpriced, especially when they break it and their policy is to make you buy it agian. Terrible service.
Ive been coming to this store since 2000 and I love it. There are so many cute things to buy here. Theres parking on the nearest cross street. You can buy cute stationary, candy, kids stuff, adult stuff, and clothing as well. There are also lots of places to eat in the surrounding area.
Stopped in on the way to Golden Gate Park one afternoon. The cutest little gift shop. Loved the variety of cards and home decor goods. The staff was very friendly and approached us several times asking if we needed help, but not in a pushy way. Also, all the kids stuff was beyond adorable, made me wish I had a child I could buy for!
Lots of cute stuff I dont necessarily think I should spend $25+ on, but they definitely have some choice things that Id buy for a fancy birthday. Some of the stuff (a glow in the dark moon clock) Ive never seen in any other store, so thats an A+.
This is my go to for gift shopping. I can always find something even for my pickiest friends.
Quirky, San Francisco gifts, and a great card selection! They have a lot of great gifts, both for grown ups and babies. I always like to stop in and see their current (and hilarious) greeting cards.
A cute shop filled with quirky and interesting knick knacks. Great for picking up gifts and cards. You can waste hours browsing through the vast array of pins and baby clothes.
I always find lovely gifts and cards here. Great things for babies, kids and grown-ups.
They have super cute and high quality paper goods from journals to cards to wrapping paper. also a super good selection of baby items so come here if youre looking for those specific items.
Well, I am not local and I had overheard someone on the street say that this gift store had such cute stuff. I had wanted to get something cute for my grandaughter’s room, but was unsure of whether my daughter would approve of the purchase. So I specifically mentioned that at the register and asked if I could return it and was told I could with receipt and within 15 days. It did not meet my daughter’s approval and I returned the following day with my purchase but was told I could return it only for something else in the store or a credit slip. Very, very disappointing. That should have been specifically mentioned when I originally asked about returning it.Now I have to carry around and try to save this credit slip for the next time I return to San Francisco. Not happy.
Super over priced. Wont take returns for damaged items!
I love the selection of baby items they have here! from the organic cotton onesies to eco-friendly toys, theres always something cute and practical to buy. just be prepared for a slightly higher price tag because of the quality of the items.
This is a neat little store to look inside. they have cool little practical trinkets.
Over priced and poor customer service.
Very cute goods!!
Cute, if overpriced, gift shop
