We came at 6:30pm on Sunday 10/24/2021 to run in and grab wiper blades. They told us they couldn’t let us in and that they were closed. The website and google both say 7pm and when we walked in the guys let us in. Then this lady goes no we close at 6:30pm. Then some other employee goes it’s actually 6. So what time is it exactly? They should fix their signage.

Went to Costco while staying in SF. The parking is underground which was easily available ( went on weekday) You can either take the elevator or ramp to go up to the warehouse. The tire center is also underground. The warehouse itself is very huge like all Costcos. The store was pretty crowded, but check out was fast. The cashier was friendly. I was in and out quickly.

I am originally from Kirkland, Washington, the home for Costco. What I believe to be the original Costco was three blocks from my high school. And when we were juniors, we would pack our cars filled with as many kids as possible so that we could go down and enjoy a hotdog and a soda from the original $1.50 cafe.I didn’t come from a big family, but we ate a lot, and we didn’t like the shop very much, so we found ourselves at Costco at least once a month. It was always fun to roam their isles filled with giant containers of stuff and food. I marveled at all the electronics and little tables with people giving samples of hot yummy food. In later years I often would purposefully get there around 5 PM to catch the multitude sampler‘s out all over the store; I could practically get a belly full by sampling. For the longest time, I was a little bit sad to go to Costco because they seemed to have nothing but cheese, wheat, meat, and wine. Their prepared food selections were limited and only seemed to cater to people that could eat that kind of food. But in the last ten years, they have expanded their organic food sections and selection for fresh produce, meat, and snacks. They also now have a great selection of gluten-free and meat alternatives.Next, I would love to see Costco cut down on the amount of plastic and single-serve items that they carry. Out of them to use more recycled material and compostable containers. I know this will have to change the entire industry and how they package and ship their products but not all the companies that could get it started. Costco could be a trailblazer. All in all, I will give Costco five stars for their fantastic food selection, housewares, clothing, wine, alcohol, Supplements, hygiene products, discounted prescription drugs, and of course, they’re rotisserie chicken (waiting to be organic)Their customer service and return policy are unparalleled. I will continue to be an executive member of Costco and look forward to visiting every month as usual.P.S. if you can get out there for less than $100 you should do it receive an award as you walk out the door.

A place where you can get great products at great prices. You can even add to the great savings by taking advantage of the generous monthly coupons. A savers paradise. From the food court to the photo center savings abound. You will be hard pressed to make glasses or get a hearing aid of high quality anywhere else at Costco prices. The pharmacy now accepts Good Rx coupons giving you discounts up to 80% or more on larger quantities on your drug needs. The flowers are farm fresh like the produce and the meats are choice and higher at below supermarket prices. The samples generously offered keep you going as you explore the many aisles of this large facility. Although the membership fee can deter some from joining, the Executive Membership pays you back 2% on all purchases and may be enough to cover your annual dues with change to spare. And the hot dogs and drink are still $1.50. Wish they had a gas station too. The new laptop system for ordering at the food court is a great improvement and a time saver. Plenty of supplies for the pandemic such as masks and sanitizers on a recent 2021 visit and took advantage of the new self checkout aisle to expedite greatly checkout process. My only quibble is why not have a hand scanner for heavy items that are difficult to scan. Currently you have to wait for the attendant to do that.

This location is okay. It actually is a pretty small store compared to others across the bay area and nationwide. Since it is downtown, there is no big parking lot, but a parking garage instead. They have the usual costco products, but sometimes change item locations, especially around the front, after a few weeks, making it difficult to locate them again in the store. It was also difficult to find someone who could help one find something in the store too.

For being in the San Francisco they did a great job of offering parking to its customers with a very large indoor parking area that is somewhat well organized and easy to navigate. The store itself seems well kept and even though its always been really packed when Ive been here, they still get you through the lines quick. This last visit was a little annoying as I had to use the bathroom and the restrooms in the store were out of order and were currently closed and being worked on by a plumber. Asked if there was another restroom in the store and was told theres another in the tire service in the parking garage.Walked to the tire service department and found a massive line because theres only one unisex bathroom here.... gave up at this piont. Would definitly recommend they have a backup bathroom for when their main store one dies cause there was some legit pissed off people in that tire service bathroom.Anyways the food court is nice but as usual; Never enough seating for the crowd.Samples are always fantastic. When existing the store the lone to check your receipt can be stupidly long as well expect a 10 minute wait just to leave when the store is busy.Try and avoiding walking on the street if you can because the homeless problem is pretty bad and theres also several annoying street venders that step in front of you to sell candy bars etc. But thats just San Fran for ya.

Beware of Costco tire service! They dont take responsibility when something goes wrong. COSTCO TIRE SF IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED. They have the authorization and handle the claim themselves, but stated that they have nothing to do with it, except to turn the claim form in.I got 4 brand new tires put in last September. Beginning of January, front tires looked flat so I took it to a Costco in east bay. The tire technician was in the process of removing the front tires to inspect and noticed one of the bolts was jammed. I was shopping inside the store and got a call . I went over to the tire center and the technician asked me a few questions (when was my last service, did I have my breaks worked on, etc). He explained that when I got my new tires put in the technician didnt put the bolt in properly by hand before applying the drill. He advised that the only way to get it off is to force break it. And if more than 1 bolt is missing then I will need to tow my car for safety reason.I gave him the go ahead to remove all 4 bolts for that tire. As it turned out only 1 bolt/lug nut was damaged.I called the SF tire center to file a damage claim and the person who picked up the phone was very impatient with me and not helpful. He initially said I need to fill out a claim form thats handled by another department. There was not much information given about the process or turn around time. He kept saying its a separate department and that I need to go into their center (I cannot file at any other location, by phone, email).I asked him about repair. He then said that was my choice. I was concerned about driving my car with a missing support of the tire. My local mechanic fixed it for me and only charged a little less than $40. I wrote a check for $50 totaI (with $10 tip).Today, I had to make a trip from East Bay into SF just to file the claim. Oscar (tire center manager) checked all 4 tires and took multiple pictures. I gave him the repair receipt and January tire inspection. He claimed that the Costco paper showed that I had a flat and a spare tire was put in. Hes trying to shift the responsibility and implied that I have removed and put the bolts on. He also pointed out that the areas around the bolts are rusted and would cause the bolts to go bad. Also mentioned that the record showed that one bolt was not the correct one (which the January Costco technician had already informed me and I told him I was aware of it). Furthermore, it was not the one that was damaged. Oscar was trying to find fault in something or someone other than his original tire technician who installed the tires for me back towards the end of September 2020.Oscar was clearly not taking an ounce of responsibility nor admit to the error made by the technician who installed my tires in September. Im sure they have a record as to who that was.He told me to complete the claim and theyll submit it to the claim department which does not work on the weekend. And that I can only claim the $40 on the mechanics work receipt. I have a copy of the check that I wrote for $50 (I gave a $10 tip for the service which took a long time to repair the lug nut/disc). I have been a loyal Costco customer for over 20 years and shop almost every weekend for my family. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED at Costco Tire SF for not taking responsibility and refusing to pay the additional $10 I gave to the mechanic. I then asked them to reimburse the $6 toll I just paid which Oscar also refused. While I was still shopping at the store, I received multiple calls from the tire center that they got approval to issue a $40 cash card to me. After further consideration, I refused the cash card and ask them to mail me a check. They didnt honor either the $10 tip I paid to the mechanic or the $6 toll. Not to mention the time I have wasted having to take my car to repair and making a trip to file the claim in person that they insisted was the only option available which added up to be far more than the actual repair cost. This was a complete waste of my time and energy!
