Goodbyes is a consignment gem. You can find designer clothing for a fraction of the price. I cant emphasize how rare this is for mens clothing in SF. Great service and consignment policies.

Huge selection of used designer clothes in good to great shape. From Chanel, Gucci, Jil Sander to Alice + Olivia, J Crew, Lululemon. Skews towards an older demographic/style but sometimes there are amazing gems (GANNI leather shirt for $63!). Shoes in the back in the dressing room area.

Exciting! Afordable to afordableish.I’ve shopped here since the year 2000. If you’re wanting to be amazed by men’s and women’s new and previously owned clothes and accessories- “designer-eye-candy”, then this is it!You will be satisfied when you find that special and unique item you weren’t necessarily looking for, but glad you did. Wealthy people, designer Samples, etc. contribute their clothes here on consignment. Who knows, maybe a celebrity too.Shoes, jewelry galore. Items arrive to the store consistently. 2 locations conveniently located across from each other on Sacramento Street in lovely Laurel Heights. Make Goodbyes your destination.Photos shown here are from a shopping trip in November to Goodbyes Sacramento at Laurel Streets in San Francisco, CA.

My favorite consignment store - actually two stores since a small shop for womens items is across the street. The are quite selective when purchasing items, which explains the frustration expressed by some reviewers. Personally, as a buyer, it works for me. The selection of clothing is small, high quality, extremely well organized (compared to most consignment stores), and if not cheap, at least fairly priced. The best strategy is to be as selective as they are, and be prepared to return to find something just right for you.

This is a fun place to shop for upscale designer clothing of all kinds. Id give it five stars but find that the quantity of items feels overwhelming to me at times. Also, Im a larger size and designer clothing is often geared towards smaller sizes. Dont miss mens clothing and sale items. Some great deals on quality bags, scarves and clothing are to be found here.

My wife experienced something ugly here. When she visited this place on Dec 29, 2017, she heard the lady working the checkout counter say the following about plastic bags:...because of the new regulations. But theyre still giving them out in Chinatown. The Chinese are so...STICKY.This is a shockingly inappropriate and racist thing to say under any circumstances. The fact that it was said in San Francisco of all places and in the presence of my wife and 10-year-old son, both of whom are of Chinese descent, is even worse. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

I took in a Burberry double breasted blazer, worn maybe three time, a pair of women’s low heel faux croc. ( Ralph Lauren ) in box, never worn, a few Italian made button down collar shirts, like new. A pair of leather croc embossed suspenders new Cold Hahn, but not in box. Bottom line, the bespoke clothing people in Pac Heights would wear. The lady tells me the things are over two years old ( only thing over two years old was the blazer, which never changes nor goes out of style. I was gobstruck. So I took a look around both the men’s, and women’s clothing. All the sweaters looked like they were from the eighties, the shirts were Chinese made knockoffs of designers or over five years old, the shoes were a real joke . The prices they were charging for used shoes that were mostly older, they were used, and they were charging more than Nordstroms Rack. Never again. This used to be a different store fifteen years ago. Now it’s over priced, older for the most part (5-25 years with exception of a few new things like men’s socks for $15. ) . The shirts and sweaters in particular even smelled musty . First time I had been to the store in ten years, as I used to get my mail next store (Post and Parcel . that’s a great mailing operation as well as a notary ) .Use your own discretion. What I wrote is all factual ...

Crowded shop (clothes and people!), mostly similar items to what I can buy at Goodwill for 90% of the Goodbyes price, not worth my cab fare. I was expecting to be dazzled based on other reviews, but it fell short. They did seem to have a large selection of Hermes scarves, but I didnt ask how much they cost because the sales girls seemed too busy.
