They only have coffee & tea. It’s inside bookstore. Owners/ people work here are very nice.Amazing place to view golden gate bridge and just for walk.Great place to sit and enjoy the view and food 😉
Hot coffee or chocolate when its cold out, reasonably priced gifts and souvenirs that support our parks!
The merchandise is very cute, memorable, and worth the purchase! There are decorations, childrens books, art pieces, all sorts of wonderful tokens made in honor of the City and the Golden Gate. Even just strolling in here is relaxing, I suggest doing it while youre traveling by that area especially if youre not a local.
Good place to take a picture of the Golden gate bridge
Coffee at the Warming HutThis was a great place to stop after a long walk along the San Francisco seafront. Our coffees were warm and tasty and my partner really enjoyed his shortbread made in the shape of the Bridge.Given the fog the server was right when he said: it is the only bridge you will see today!
Expenseve for what they give. The food tastes okay, but is far too expensive, at least for the non-natives. The vegetarian chili is quite good for the price however it seems that, the chili is the only well priced item on the food menu. The iced tea that they have made in the store is $4 for a little bit of iced tea and a whole lot of ice. Too keep it short, the prices are just too high even for a national park concession.
Very friendly staff. A bit crowded due to close proximity of the bridge. Food delicious.
Its a gift shop and a cafe. They have unique and beautiful gift items from books, magnets, toys to wearable merchandise like scarves, hats and jackets. Toy can get coffee, cold drinks and hot sandwiches here too, really great. A small dining area inside and some picnic tables outside. Enjoy the view, stay warm.
The latte I enjoyed was perfectly acceptable. The almond croissant was even excellent. I was overjoyed to see that they had a decent selection of bottled beers. My one complaint is the ridiculously small seating area inside. But, there were picnic tables available outside and it was a lovely day, so ...
This was so much more than just a coffee stop. The staff were super friendly, explaining the different pastries and coffee preferences to a foreigner (me). The coffee was hot and delicious as was the blueberry danish. Loved the gift shop as well, full of quirky and non-tacky items perfect to pop in your suitcase home. The location was also perfect -we enjoyed our coffees sitting by the Presidio. An easy Uber ride.
Nice location for a coffee. They have sandwiches too. I tried the big green, which was really good! Coffee takes a little while to come out, but there were a few people in there. At least you can look around the gift shop while you wait! Prices are average SF prices.
Reasonably priced Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy store. Excellent cappuccinos and nice snacks. Great pit stop on a windy, cold and foggy day. Walk from the Marina to the bridge and back. One of the most beautiful and relaxing urban walks that I have experienced.
A historic building in the most beautiful spot beneath the Golden Gate Bridge houses a wonderful little cafe with excellent coffee drinks, goo, simple food and friendly staff. The gift shop is well-curated with a focus on childrens books, cookbooks, and non-fiction guides, as well as toys and kitchenware with Presidio and environmental themes. I was devastated to learn yesterday that it will be closing in March 2020.
Warming Hut Bookstore & Cafe also known as Warming Hut Park Store & Cafe is an ideal place to stop by during your visit to the Golden Gate Bridge area or around other nearby vicinities.Theyve got a complete coverage of cherry picked books, superb snack crafts along with other shopping essentials inside this cute hut a like Cafe-Store.
A wonderful little coffee gift shop in the park. I didnt even know it what it was when I walked past it. There is no large blinking sign but it looks like a white barn until you walking in. We came in winter and the benches by the wall were heated while we drank coffee and had a snack. Most of the space is a gift store but the sitting area is cozy. A great place to sit down and rest after seeing the Golden Gate bridge.
This place is awesome. Even on a sunny day, Crissy Field and Fort Point are windy, chilly places at the mouth of the San Francisco Bay. The Warming Hut has tasty, basic food, big windows, a fair amount of seating co-located with a National Park gift store that has tons of souvenirs for those needing something to take home to friends and family. Always a cheery, bustling cafe. Nice place for a break if youre on a bike.
It was a charming little shop with a variety of merchandise. Touristy for sure, but of course it needs to be. The stationary sets and quirky books were fun to look through. The customer service was also great.
Small gift shop with lot of cut things for young and old, for you or to offer or just inquire about the activities of the bay. This place have a little cafe, perfect place to eat with a nice view of the Golden Gate Bridge.Take strength before climbing the hill !
The Warming Hut is located only a couple of minutes walk from the base of the Golden Gate Bridge. It provides a fantastic array of souvenirs, guides and helpful staff. There is also a coffee shop inside so you can get your caffeine fix. The location of the Hut provides excellent views of the bay, Alcatraz, the bridges and also the city skyline. On a clear day it makes for a fantastic way to spend a couple of hours. There is plenty of car parking here also.
Lovely place with a stunning view of the Golden Gate Bridge. The menu has a few choices, the sandwiches are yummy! Be prepared to pay a price a bit higher than usual. They have quality souvenirs, from childrens books to clothing and postcards. The restrooms are in a nearby building and there is a beautiful wooden pier where you can take fantastic pictures both of the bridge and of the city. The staff is smiling and friendly!
Combination cafe and gift shop at the far end of Crissy Field. The food here is good, and warm. They usually have chili, soup, a salad or two, a couple sandwiches, and a number of hot and cold drinks and desserts and snacks. The hot chocolate is especially satisfying. There are a couple tables and chairs in the corner where you can warm up (seriously, it’s cold at Crissy Field), and picnic tables just outside. The rest of the space inside is a gift shop for the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Public bathrooms are also outside, nearby; and there’s a parking lot nearby.
The cage has a nice selection of sandwiches and coffee all made on the spot. They also have fresh cookies. The bookstore has some books for sale as well as souvenirs for the golden gate bridge and other national parks. Its nice to know any purchases here support the National Park Service too!
A charming place with spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Walked over from the Golden Gate Welcome Center. Not a tourist - I live here, but I took the 28 bus as its the closest stop if you dont drive. A beautiful 10-15 minute walk downhill along a trail heavy with fresh growth (beginning of Summer) took me to a couple of sweet old buildings on the Bay. The Warming Hut is a tourist destination, but not a garish one. Lots of locally branded souvenirs, even a few food books I wanted. They also serve food: coffee and snacks that looked fun and tasty. I will be back.
Kind of small and crowded but given the location its understandable. Also I found a table to sit down and eat very easily even though the line for ordering was long. The food is great and they even serve breakfast burritos in the afternoon. The proceeds go to park restoration and maintenance if I remember correctly
The club sandwich was the BEST sandwich Ive ever had! My husband also enjoyed his turkey sandwich. Fresh ingredients put together just right by a friendly staff. Glad we wandered in!
A gift shop for the National Parks and one of the few (if not the only) places to get a beverage and a light bite near Crissy Field. It is continuously busy and can get quite packed in a relatively small place. There are a limited number of seats to eat indoors, so anticipate taking your food outside; sit along the wall and watch the ships go under the Golden Gate Bridge.
This cafe is located at a great location. Location attracts both locals and tourists, who visit crissy fields. Great place to grab hot coffee while enjoying spectacular view of Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco city skyline.
On spot! Someplace to warm up. I visited there with family enroute to San Francisco bridge.. great collection of books also
Very nice and serene place on the side of the pacific. The view of golden gate bridge is awesome and also the view of pacific and the alcatraz island from here is magnificent. The environment of the cafe is very much attraction to bookworms. It is an ideal place to spend with a coffee mug and sandwich and a book. There are souvenirs and books on travel and adventure are available here. Information brochures etc on golden gate area are available here. The place is maintained by Golden Gate National recreation area authority.
I come here once a month and love this place for a number of reasons. First, its very aptly named. It can be very chilly and windy at Crissy Field -- especially on the pier -- and the Warming Hut is fantastically warm and cozy. Second, the coffee and hot chocolate here are terrific, and the guys who make it are attentive and friendly. Third, they sell lots of interesting San Francisco tourist stuff here, which is fine with me. I would prefer a slightly better food selection, but thats not a big negative.
Best place to get San Francisco souvenirs with a warm cup of hot chocolate. Great photo spots all around too.
The only place in this area where you can grab a bite, and that too a good one. No wonder its the warming hut because this side of the city is almost always on the cooler side.Great place to find literature on the bridge, its making, history of SFO, culinary books - international repute, souvenirs, make the Golden gate bridge kit, etc. They serve vegetarian and vegan and also gluten free. Dont forget to ask at the cashiers desk when placing the order.
Really cute place. Stop here for great snacks and ice cream. Great pit stop while biking the bridge or just out and about
Stop of here before you head over the bridge or when returning. Good coffee, fun treats, standard lunch fare. Grounds are interesting so walk around enjoy the bridge from below and the bay at your feet!
After a long walk through Crissy Field and before you go up to the golden gate bridge a stop at the Warming Hut is a must. There you can find several souvenirs, although they might be a bit expensive, and some great snacks. Sandwiches and foccacias are really good and if its hot outside you might want to grab an ice cream as well. Relax here for a while and then make your way to the golden gate bridge!
I had very good chai here and the views from outside are great. This store has a great deal of souvenirs that you can purchase. One thing I thought was cool is that they offer national park stamps for those individuals that have a national park passport. This is a fun park area.
I love the warming hut, mainly for 1 reason. It means Ive reached my turn around point on my regular run. It sits at the end of the marina promenade, after Crissy Field and before Fort Point. Cute little location right at the fishing pier with a breathtaking view of the Golden Gate Bridge. The warming hut itself is one of those iconic SF places that people talk about in terms of a location rather than a business establishment. Its a cute little store inside, but most never see that.
Stopped here for a break during our ride from Fisherman’s Wharf to Sausalito. A quaint cafe and gift shop. The staff were very friendly. Although seating was limited we managed to get a seat. Food at the cafe was very good. 5 stars!
If you are walking around the Golden Gate Bridge, you should probably just stop by here no matter what. It is cozy, clean, and warm. Nice collection of topical books and warm beverages (plus some cold ones too).
San Franciscan, born and raised and I LOVE this place. Such a warm feel. The staff are great, fast workers, even when the line is out of the door. Certainly it caters to mostly tourists, but the staff are 100% authentic and the souvenirs are very high caliber. As for the food selection, it could be better, but they dont have a full kitchen, so really, they offer the necessities. It also doesnt hurt that my 6 year old self still occupies a small picture on the historical pillar out front, but hey, who cares, right? ;)Definitely worth making the visit whenever I am home.
Nice place, nice people at the front desk, good food, a bit expensive.... very expensive.. but you can expect that from this city. The place is nice for a small thing and a beer while you see the Golden Gate
Selection of good is reasonable, but there is insufficient staff to cater for the weekend crowd and you can easily wait more than 20 minutes for a full of tea. On there plus side, there are inside tables and a decent selection of cakes and pastries. In busy times, you may have to eat outside in the park.
I get some kind of special positive feeling every time I visit this place. This hut is the only warm place where you can take shelter from outside cold winds. This place has very good view point of SF city and golden gate bridge.
Free public restrooms are located outside of the actual warming hut in between two other small buildings. A welcome sight on the trail. The ultimate club sammie is yummy. Lots of small area themed gifts and books. Limited indoor seating but lots of outdoor benches, grass space, etc to sit and snack.
This is at Fort Point in SF. Its cold and windy outside. This building is right on the water to provide relief. They sell books and kid activity sets relevant to the location, plus some tourist tat. There is a counter where you can get a beverage or food. Choices are very limited. We didnt buy anything, but it was a pleasant place to get out of the wind for a few minutes.
I love that I can get my coffee and a good book in the same place!
Nice coffee shop on a way to Golden Gate bridge. They got salads and sandwiches. The tuna sandwich with capers was tasty. A nice place to warm up on a rainy or windy day before reaching Golden Gate. There are also some souvenirs, books, etc. in shop.
Remarkably tasty food and an unbelievable location. Especially liked the iced coffee.
Great place to stop in for coffee or cocoa when Karl the Fog rolls in. Lots of super unique gift items for locals and visitors. Best of all, all your purchases go back to support the many great park programs from youth programs, to habitat restoration, to adult trail mixers.
A really good view of the golden gate bridge, and also a great stop off point on the cycle over the bridge. We only stopped off for drinks and an ice cream, but they also had lots of small lunch options available as well as coffee and a small gift shop.
Nice place with great views of the Golden Gate bridge. Very peaceful with lots of interesting people just hanging around while the tourist took lots of photos.
They are a nice little store but service can lack a tad :-)
Very cosy, feels a world away. ..and amazing to get out of the wind. Ask for your drinks extra hot though if you dont want them to be cold in a second. Its a bit touristy, but what do you expect in that area. Great that all proceeds go to the park, not a commercial place - it adds a nice feel.
A really lovely place with the best view over the bridge and some nice drinks. The service was strange. Ive ordered a tee and the cashier ran away in panic and I wasnt sure whats going on. She asked her supervisor to help her prepare the tea, because she didnt know how. Strange. But the tea was good and warm :)
Great views. However, we went there on Sunday and they had no espresso drinks and almost nothing to eat.
Customer service is bad. Not friendly. This older guy can’t let anyone takes orders or even help out, he’s very unfriendly. He thinks he’s the only one speaking English among the staff. Please be old and friendly and not old and grumpy by the golden gate bridge.
They only serve chips, drinks and snacks. NO SANDWICHES till March 8th. You need to go elsewhere for any kind of lunch.
I appreciate their mission and sourcing practices, but when we arrived around 11 am they were already out of the veggie sandwich I wanted. We ordered the burritos which were sadly lacking in flavor. Coffee was strong and tasted good, though.
Cool little place to stop for a coffee or souvenirs next to the Golden Gate Bridge.
Great place to stop after a long walk from the Golden Gate Bridge. Great coffee and souvenirs.
It was very nice and the prices were pretty especially since its in SF
Very nice shop with a lot of eco friendly stuff, nice stationary and heaps of amazing books.
Great place to grab a cup of joe and sit outside to gaze at the Golden gate.
Awesome staff and great coffee and chocolate chip cookies!
I was fishing at the pier and got hungry and they had a nice fast food menu and it is a nice place to get warm when its the city fog!got the tourist stuff too and is on the city bike route to sausalito over the bridge.there is a pier there that looks out at the golden gate bridge so u can get great pics.
I used to live in San Francisco and my family and I would walk down to fort point and on the way back if it was windy or foggy, we would stop in for a hot chocolate or just to get warm. The staff is super nice and they have great food and drinks. I miss it so much and I recommend it very much.
The turkey sandwich is terrible. The cafe address is also very limited in seating. They do have nice Sam Francisco gifts. Parking here is a challenge. It is a nice place to grab coffee and see the golden gate bridge.
Good food. Amazing location. Its a beautiful spot to take a walk. Get a hot chocolate on a cold day!
