I have worked with Elise for 20 years. She is an outstanding conservationist. She is very ethical (which means she will always do the right thing, even if you are not in the room). She is one of the most highly skilled people I have met in the field and takes a deep personal interest in each project. I also find she is very good about communicating times lines and budgets. I cannot imagine a better person to work with in caring for a collection of any size (or in any shape).
Elise at Art Conservation de Riguer in San Francisco patiently and expertly restored a family heirloom painting dating back to approximately 1640 for me a few years ago. Her work brought this old and dark oil painting back to life for me to enjoy. I wholeheartedly endorse her work.
It was a pleasure working with Elise and her team. From the moment she arrived at my home, following major smoke damage, Elise calmly walked me through her restoration process, and I trusted her completely with my artworks and silver. All of her work was impeccable.
Elise and team are true professionals. They meticulously restored a large painting which had been damaged during a move. Before commencing the job I received quotes from ACdR as well as 2 of their competitors; ACdR was the most professional and organized though not the least expensive. Room for improvement would be in the area of cost and schedule performance: the job took three times longer and cost 50% more than quoted, despite an extensive in home assessment as part of the quote. I would definitely do business with them again, however I would take steps to add more certainty around the final cost and schedule. Thanks Elise & Team!
