Huge store full of basically anything you would ever need to find in a hardware store - and then some! All of the staff has been super helpful and friendly when Ive gone in. Theyre open super early too which is great if youre in a pinch!

Ace Hardware on Grand is just that, grand. Yeah its well stocked and prices are very agreeable, but what really earned the 5 stars is the atmosphere. I know that sounds a bit weird, but this place feels like a friendly neighborhood hardware store because its just that. Good job guys

Never would have expected this store to be as big as it is. They have pretty much any basic hardware needs you could have and some specialty items as well. They have a good painting section as well as some portable AC units and window fans. They have more window fans than I saw at walmart and thats extremely helpful here in PB. If you need to save some time instead of going out of your way to some big do it yourself store, try stopping here first.

I like aace and hardware very good store and the people are very friendly and they are very good helpers of helping customers. now i know where to get my light bulbs for when i need them. they have everything that people need. i will definitely come back again

Great selection of oscillating fans, and I would rather support a small business, than a chain store. And the clerk was super helpful showing me where the fans were.

Pacific Beach has two Ace hardwares and my experience with both of them have been excellent. I would recommend either one of these stores to anyone.

Employees here although much younger were far more helpful. This is maybe three 3rd time Ive been and each has been efficient and helpful. If I knew names Id post them. Super chill and kinda confusing bc they dont wear the vests but the dude with the sleeve tatoo who helped me find the nuts and washers I needed was great. Smaller store but better staff

Called in to see if they have available dust masks as I need some for my and my wife who both of us are still working. I lined up at the register as they had 2 single masks plus a 10 pack of surgical masks left, some guy walks in right before I start talking to the employee at the register and said he’ll buy them all (as he is standing by the door), so the employee says he’ll hold them for him. I said I’m next in line and I need at least one or two, so they employee says “well that guy just got them all”....even though he wasn’t in line, told him that I called in 20 minutes ago and I came in right away. He seem like he didn’t care at all, “customer service” here doesn’t really exist.

Ace IS the place with the helpful hardware man! Assembling a furniture piece purchased off Craigslist and came up short a critical specialty screw. Ace clerk spent a good ten minutes finding a useable replacement allowing me to finish the job. All that time and charged only $1! Now, that great service!

If youre in PB and need some stuff, go here. Its more expensive than the bigger places, but its way more convenient and the staff are great ( very helpful). And its surprising how much they actually have.

Whatever you dont buy a Traeger grill from Pacific Beach Ace hardware. Although they are an authorized dealer they wont accept any returns. I have a very expensive grill that has never worked and they will nothing to help. Very unsatisfied. Take your business elsewhere.

Total Fraud Traegger Grill-We just bought a Traegger greill from Ace in Pacific Beach for $1,000!We have owned multiple Traeggers over the years. This brand new unit did not work. You couldnt even get it seasoned correctly. After dozens of hours on the phone with Ace and Traegger they refused to take the unit back. traegger said you should have bought it from us and we would take the return. Since you bought it from Ace you CANNOT return the unit AND the owner of ACE refuses to stand by the product and take the return. We wont ever be shopping at Ace in Pacific Beach again. Total Fraud!!!!

This is a great place to know about if your midway through a project and you live nearby. They have a decent selection for a small hardware store, and the staff is always super helpful. I cant give them five stars because their prices seem to be higher than the big stores, and sometimes when you need something really specialized (like a titanium bit to use on masonry thats really tiny) they dont have it and then you kind of just wasted a trip. There seems to always be a parking spot out front which is really nice.

Their return policy leaves a bit to be desired, but they typically have what you need and a few things you never knew you wanted/needed until you saw them at check out.ha

A real hardware store. I have yet to ask for something that they dont have. Great staff that have been there a long time and somehow remember where everything is to the smallest item. Go here first instead of wandering around a big box store.

Always get the help I need at this Hardware store. Friendly service and usually everything I need to get the job done. Nice people working here and customers are also nice. I have worked construction for over 30 years and havent found a small hardware outlet than this well managed store.

As far as Aces go I was thoroughly unimpressed in every aspect; there IS parking (but its awkward/less than ideal); the staff was not very knowledgeable with regards to any of my numerous (and I would say basic) inquiries relating to hardware (and also of their products that they do have in stock. I havent been to an Ace in quite awhile, perhaps just in comparison to Hillcrests Ace (and also Home Depot and Lowes) Id have to give 2 thumbs down here. Maybe I just came on an off day ?:-/¿?€

I like going to Ace because they are helpful, friendly small and reasonable. However, the 3 times Ive been to this location Ive been ignored. I asked where something was when I walked in and the young lady at the counter told me last aisle. This last aisle is about 60 long. When I asked where approximately, left or right? She said she didnt know... Nor did she bother to try and find someone who did. After wandering around aimlessy someone finally approached me to ask if I needed help. When I told him what had happened he said well she cant take do anything from up there. Basically brushing off my complaint instead of apologizing. Maybe they are dating or something, who knows. I wish this location was better because its closer to home but Ill go to the Clairmont location instead.

I went in for a 3-way lightbulb and didnt know if I should get a normal bulb or a CF. The salesman was very helpful and actually convinced me to save money and get the regular bulb because its also better for your eyesight if you sit near the lamp (like I do 10 hours a day on my computer).Will definitely go back!

The best and most helpful place in Pacific Beach. They have a great crew that really knows their stuff. They are led by Tony and John that I have never stumped with any repair. While they provide much better service than Home Depot, they also have a lot of stuff that HD does not have and their prices are very reasonable. I always try them first before driving to HD. They are a little weak in the Paint Department - they dont mix colors, but have all the basic stuff and colors. On the other hand, the quality information they give you can save you hours and money.
