Treasure hunt place. This store has a lot of different material for your humble Adobe. The prices are very good. You do not have to spend a fortune to remodel a room or two. I bought two quality office chairs (in very good condition) for $10. They have many different flooring types and material, kitchen and bathroom counters in stone, doors, windows, etc. This is a go-to place!
The past managers Mike and Ken were professional, competent andhad good people skills. Shopped and donated to the restore for many years. The current manager, I do not know her name, is often rude, unfriendly and over her head in a managerial position. Incompetent is the word that comes to mind. Will not be back for a few months. Maybe she can at least insure that soap is available in the bathrooms and items for sale are marked. Pathetic people skills..... donations declining and/or not getting to the floor..... simply stored in the back building.
Perfect place to get great finds for those things you need for your apartment or home. If youre a do-it-yourselfer or handy man (person), you need to know about this store. Its like a thrift store, but its all about home improvement, not antiques or nick-nacks. Youll need your own hardware a lot of the time, but they also sell paint, tools, lots of standard and odd light bulbs. Tables, office furnature, rugs and chairs are catch as catch can, but there is always SOMETHING there. Its one of my haunts - the more often I stop by, the more accurate my stuff buffer is, the more likely I can get something for myself or someone else when the need arises.
Employees were very helpful. Although I did not find what I needed, I found a lot of other stuff that I did not think about but did need.
Great place to shop with excellent deals on building supplies.Theres an older gentleman there who is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about their inventory . Anyways Id like to write more but I got things to build.
This is the second time Ive tried to donate to Habitat. Both times Ive called and was told they close at 3pm for donations and when I show up around 1pm the turn me away because they are full. It seems they just dont care. So, dont waste your time by trying to donate to them, give it to the Salvation Army or anyone else.
Love Habitat for Humanity. Weve remodeled our whole house. Kent is awesome!
Surprise sale was a treat!
The facility was very large with 2 huge buildings as well as stuff in the parking lot out front. But the items in between the buildings was considered inventory so wasnt available to browse. I told the guy that I didnt get the memo but there really wasnt any signs denoting the difference between whats for sale and what was inventory. Overall, there was a lot of stuff available for just about any project but we didnt find what we were looking for.
Very helpful and grateful for my donations!
Glad to donate some building items to help someone
They had a good selection of stuff just not what I was looking for.
I visit them very often. You can get awesome deals in here on everything you need for your small to medium household projects. Their new location is much bigger and well organized. A special thanks to all the people who continuously support this organization with their helpful donations!
Wonderful customer service. I arrived at the same time as the driver Eliot and his drivers assistant Regina and they were very courtious to let me use the loading dock first, they even helped me load my furniture into my truck. The employees and volunteers at habitat are always so happy to help, I love shopping here.
I live this store for some crazy reason. You will get dirty browsing here but you never know what youll find. Its not upscale or even upcycled but there is always the potential to uncover some great find. Its all household stuff from lighting to furniture to windows to faucets that have been donated. Mostly used. Some abused but some brand new. Its great if youre renting and need to replace a fixture without spending much. Merchandise will change regularly. Lots of leftover tile unused from jobs and bathroom fixtures like tubs, some with jets, all new last time I was there
Love this place! Wonderful people, wonderful purpose!
I went in for first time, I found exactly what I was looking for in the first five minutes I was there, price was fanrastixand guy that took it off the rack and rolled it up for me was very helpful and courteous cashier was equally courteous, I will deffently return to store for other finds and, tell everyone I know whos redecorating or decorating about Restore, employees and, store are the best.
Had just what i was looking for! And very nice and helpful
Its looking more organized than it was in the past. Some of the problems are some of the mix of items is a little bit weird difficult to find what you need kind of random maybe they should focus on fewer items. All prices should be kind of suggestion and negotiable where it makes sense because some items are the same as what the item cost brand new in the store or more even in some cases. The workers I talk to on todays visit were pretty cool.
Per the other (1-star) review about not answering... maybe there was a glitch. They are willing to pick up if needed! You can always call the admin. number, and they will help you.The store has a lot of good supplies. If you can find what you need/want, you can save a boatload of $, and your money goes to a great cause. Thats a Win/Win. The people are very nice and helpful, too.
They have some neat stuff. The 50% off sales are the only real bargains. Good place to unload left over/nonreturnable construction supplies though.
All of the locations are pretty great! They have almost anything you could need or want as far as building and crafting to home decor/,furniture.
Love this place. Its like a treasure hunt for DIYers. You might not find what youre looking for the first time but there is always something cool or unusual to catch your eye.
First time visitor. I went in with an open mind and was presently surprised. There are things that I will be going back to pick up in the future for sure!
Amazing place. Great deals. Very clean store and the manager is so very helpful. Prices are amazing.
If there is anything you need for your home or office fix up, look here first. Great selection and staff support. Plus its going to a good cause.
Everything you need for your home at a fraction of the retail cost. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. If you are looking for something specific I recommend calling before heading to th shop.
Shopped here twice and liked it... It appears third times the fail on this one. Kudos to all the hard working staff & volunteers (and there are many of them!!), Im sad to say one employee had to ruin it for the lot. I drove through hell (1.5hrs from Oceanside) to get here before closing and was given the oops, sorry we already closed the register and... Ive got things I gotta do reply. A little kindness & empathy goes a long way, guess thats a lesson this guy never learned.
Awesome store for this and that. odd items. Fun. Has a lot of toilets sinks, bathtubs and tile assortments. Weird stuff to fix up your house at great prices.
I can always find things there that I need... or dont need! Good deals await.
Picked up the house I needed. They are in the middle of inventory.
Great place to find recycled materials, furniture, art work and free popcorn. REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE!
We found table glass tops at very good price. Some new furniture and construction materials
I find it easier to park just outside of the parking lot because they have items for sale outside as well.
Very disappointed with this Habitat for Humanity. Outrageously high prices, much higher than other locations, and hardly any used Inventory. Tons of brand new, canvas wall art, but not much else. Almost new patio set outside, priced the same as in a store! Ridiculous! Would never waste my time going there again.
There are some amazing deals on stuff, especially hardware, electrical parts and lighting. Scored an awesome rug for 1/3 of Targets price!
Great Items, Wonderful very reasonable prices and super excellent customer service and you even get FREE POPCORN!!! YUMMY🤗👍
Love this store! Really nice staff that work here.
Unfortunately I didnt find anything that would suit my needs. It is over priced and used up. On the upside they have a good assortment of tile and windows and suchlike if you are not to worried on matching.
Good overall experience. Nice staff. Not that many options to shop.
Great place to drop off items that you no longer want but are not trash. Someone else may find them to be just what they are looking for at a great price.
Always a Hit or Miss here. Today... Ah, well, seemed bare and some things outrageously overpriced and damaged, HOWEVER.... You neva know.... Today everything in store was 50% off and I found a barely used ( but dirty) Dirt Devil vacuum. Retail $50, paid $5.00. cleaned up excellently-- like New! Its a treasure hunt is what this place is, DEFINITELY check it out!
A great place to shop but somethings are over priced in my opinion. But sometimes they will work on the price. I know they need to make the funds to support there builds but I think they could move a lot more product if things were a little cheaper.
Love the fact they re-purpose they reuse recycle they saAve!
Great place to pick up home improvement items (new and used) and support habitat for humanity at the same time
Advertises furniture pickup. Does not do furniture pickup.
Great for tiles and stone. It can be a bit pricey at times but still worth a regular visit
Cool place, we always find something to use for the house!
Located in a residential area. Lots of good items for all types of home projects. Even hi end luxury furniture.
Find the things you need for your older house, and support a good cause.
Love this place. You can make projects inexpensively.
Love the deals, never know what you going to finds. Workers are always helpful.
Used stuff at 80% of the price of what you can get new at home depot/walmart. Well there are probably some discounts that are deeper than that, esp. when they run a half off sale on some category (like when I visited, and all plumbing stuff was 50% off, but theres no way to know if theres a special going on, short of calling them). Given their medium sized selection, and unpredictable prices, it hardly seems worth it. Also, the parking lot is super tiny and awkward to get in and out of.
A great idea to donate extra building materials or buy spare materials and benefit a good cause. Parking can be tough
I give all my extra stuff to them and I buy as much as I can from them its a great program
There can be some good finds here, but the Escondido location was better for sure.
If you are fixing things around your house, you will be amazed at what you can find here, from bathtubs to Floor TilesThe prices are great.
Smaller selection of items that I was expecting, but a few good items can be found.
Turning a family dream into a reality. Every purchase will make it possible. From tools to home improvement. Best price!
Generally slightly higher prices then its Escondido sister store but still some great discounted goods to be found here.
Love this place, I get a lot of great stuff at great prices!
Very affordable. Great sales great option for rehabing a home.
Great stuff. Found the Perfect medicine cabinet for our bathroom
I needed a piece of granite and low and behold they had a granite countertop i could cut and make my own for $58. If you need something for your house for cheap this is the way to go.
A great place to recycle old treasures and find new ones, all while helping to support Habitat for Humanity.
Poor quality. Negative selection waste of space and properly organized friendly staff
Love habitat, find lots of treasures there and handy for small projects.
Great volunteer experience loved working here met some cool people :)
Ive shopped here for years and spent many thousands of dollars supporting habitat and reviving good old stuff. My latest experience was a rather disappointing disaster. I was shopping to furnish an apartment. I saw an armoire I loved and it was priced perfectly. Based on that piece, I decided to buy everything I needed for the unit all at once right then and have it delivered nearby for $50. I had some questions and the manager was incredibly brash and rude to me and the associate helping me. Finally I chose about a dozen pieces and accessories. I walked through and identified everything with an associate. I double checked and then triple checked as I paid, as the items were to be delivered. Upon delivery day, a glass coffee table was cracked (corner missing from glass top) and there was no armoire. After 3 days waiting for a call back, I was told I never paid for an armoire and that piece was sold to someone else. Super disappointed. Love this store, love this concept. I dont recommend delivery for th is reason and I dont agree with the managers leadership of the store. This is representative of her attitude and treatment of others. I will find other places to shop where there is more compassion and joy and attention to detail.
Good deals and a good cause. You have to work at it.
Mike is the best. Always new items
I copped some sweet deals!
Good store, lots of great used home improvement items.
Love the selection of used stuff put puzzle back together
Always find exactly what Im not looking for and more
Love this store. Great deals
Nice place for good stuff and good price
Great buys! A must go to place for any homeowner or do it yourselfer!
Clean and organized
Great for in exspensive home decor
Great place to go for outstanding deals on repurposed merchandise
Great people, friendly and working for a good cause.
Okkkkkkkkkk but getting very pricey.mexican guy that werx there givin secret deals thinkin nobody else understands spanish.....saw him sell garbage cans for 15$ each.when employee asked him how much he sold them for he said 25$. Wow. Prices r kinda crazy compared to other h4h in other states
Great prices sometime you wont find everything
Love supporting Habitat. If they have it, the price is right!
Ths is a place to come to every week if you are looking to remodel or build. The prices are fantastic, but availability and selection are catch-as-catch-can, and the place is organized slightly better than my a teenagers room. The first two times I went I wasnt able to find anything useable, but on the third trip I hit the jackpot. I spent $335 on items that would have cost ~$875. The Kohler Comfort Height w/c was new, the the 6x36 tub was unused (probably from a model home) and the exterior dual pane french doors were used in very good condition. I had to look at EVERY DOOR IN THE PLACE to find them, but they cost less than half of what the contractor could have purchased new, so it was time and effort well spent. The only real problem was that I had gone on this occassion to find tile for the bathroom floor. Oh well!
I personally love all the locations!!
Great prices on repurpose building supplies
This location is closing on Friday, September 29, 2017. The new location is in Clairemont Mesa at 8128 Mercury Court (by Cheetahs)
Hope its growing pains but I feel like its not quite as good as it was in Mission Valley.
There are good deals to be had hear.
Helping others also helps yourself...
Lot of things to sell/buy. Parking/driveway tight fit
We went to purchase an extra door that we needed for our house. The cheapest door they had was $30, and even though we could have bought a new door at home depot for $26, we were already there, so we bought it. We had also purchased a sink for $40, which wasnt really a good deal either. Some items are worth it, like tubs for about $75 and windows starting at about $50, but overall if the prices we just slightly less, we would buy much more.
Always find just what Im looking for
Great variety and prices.
