Came into this store today to get an appraisal. I brought two pieces in and was told it would be $45 to identify the pieces and from there we would decide if we would do a full appraisal. We identified the stones and decided to stop there. When I went to check out, I was charged $90. I told the sales associate that it was supposed to be $45, and the woman who quoted that price came out and said that she meant $45 per piece. She apologized, but didn’t even adjust the price to what she quoted me. I get that it was a simple mistake, but it would be proper to adjust the price to what I was quoted. Not a great first experience and I wouldn’t return.Update: The woman who quoted me the price, Amy, called today and resolved the issue by refunding me $45. She was super apologetic and kind, and really cared to see how she could do better. To me, that is a sign of great customer service, and I will be returning again in the future. Thank you, Amy!

I needed to know the correct size of the wedding band to order online from another jeweler over the weekend. Stopped by at Diamonds Forever San Diego (I Googled jewelry services in San Diego area) so my two rings that fit my fingers could be sized. The sales person was kind and he provided the info I needed even tho I told him I stopped by for advice on ring size while I was going to order a piece from another business. Brought in a setting that needed a stone and they helped me pick one out and they set it for me as well as appraised it for insurance purposes. On top of that they put it in a very nice box that I will use to propose to my girlfriend. Very helpful staff and very friendly. They even rushed my order for the setting because I needed it early and didnt charge me extra. Great place to buy stones or whole rings.

Amy helped me, but both women working were helpful and professional. I was able to find a beautiful necklace for my mother with Amys help even though I was on a budget. Their selection is pretty good, but they can also make custom pieces at prices that are very reasonable. I dont buy much jewelery since neither myself nor my girlfriend wears any, so Im not sure when Ill get the chance to give them my business again, but I will be recommending them to anyone who wants to buy something nice for the jewelery-wearing people in their life.

Ended up wandering into Diamonds Forever months ago, because we wanted to see a particular gemstone in person, and they had them in stock. We were greeted by Jenny, who showed us the stones and was very patient and helpful while we tried dozens of rings to find what we liked best. When we were ready to buy, we came back here. Amy completed our appraisals and helped find us a better matching wedding band. We never felt uncomfortable during our experience, which was really important for us as part of the LGBT community. Yes, I found a beautiful engagement ring and wedding bands at fair prices. But what set this experience apart was the attitude of the owner and her staff. Unlike the other shops I visited there was no sales pitch and no pressure to make a purchase. The owner is a GIA graduate and it shows in her knowledge and passion. She patiently answered all my questions and gave me some great insight in how to make the proposal one that my wife would remember. I can not recommend Diamonds Forever highly enough.

Great Customer Service!! When I picked up my husbands ring, they cleaned my ring too! They cleaned my ring with a sonic cleaner and air compressor and then inspected it under a microscope and then cleaned it again!

I needed to get my gold chain soldered so I checked out this shop because it was near my place. The lady said it would cost $45 and would take a week to do the job. $45??? What a rip-off! A week??? Wow, I couldnt wait that long for a simple soldering so I had to go to another jewelry shop and I was only charged $5 for the repair and waited about 15 minutes. Never coming back here again!

I would never go here again! I already was upset the diamond on my ring broke off and went there to get a insurance appraisal. The lady was completely rude and acted as if I stole my ring. I also took in the paper work I got from buying my ring. I am not a thief and was very upset they treated me and gave me rude faces like I was one.
