When I need anything computer/ electronic related I always come here. Yesterday I was helped by a very nice and helpful young man named Reagan and eventually the other employees including the manager helped me too. I was treated like royalty. The manager offered me some water and a chair when I had a little bit of a wait. I was also given a discount because of it. I walked away with a sweet deal on a desktop computer. They helped me stay in my budget, were very respectful, polite and friendly. Im older and I appreciated them being so. I know nothing about computers and they explained everything to me. I am so happy I found this shop! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I am a teacher and needed an additional monitor to make my job so much easier. I had so many questions and really had no idea on how this would go about, but I came in and all my questions were answered. Everything on how to set up, cables, and instructions were given to me. I got a monitor in good condition, works great, VGA cable, and power cable all for $25! There is also other accessories if I would have known prior that you can purchase for a cheaper cost than what I had already purchased elsewhere. Overall, you cant beat the cost and knowledgeable staff that guided me through this.Thank you so much! I am so excited to have found this shop and you all just made my job so much easier. Wow, this place is awesome for the enthusiast. Definitely felt like a “kid in a candy store.”I’m pretty frugal when it comes to my budget builds and I’m familiar with the Goodwill tech store in OC and the USD Tech recycling center. This place is super organized compared with the other two and has a lot of nicely priced budget machines for those just “looking to web browse.”There was a young gentleman working the day I went and he was super down to earth and very helpful with me tech questions.Anyone who watched the LTT episode of junkyard wars and liked it will love coming to this store.Didn’t really need anything, but I drove down from OC to check it out and bought some stuff anyway.

So very happy that I stumbled upon this shop. If you’re ever looking for reasonably priced computer equipment, you have to check them out. Daniel took his time to both educate me on the different equipment types, and then essentially built a system for me to use while working at home. Ive spent several hundred dollars at this store and needed enough RAM to power multiple motherboards for my business. they actually had enough RAM in stock and it was in the store clerks hand but he refused to sell me it because he said If someone else needs it, it wont be here. Not sure what kind of business holds back inventory from someone whos running a business and needs what youre selling but you just lost a loyal customer. 👍In response to your response, RAM isnt sanitizer and Lysol. I called before I went in and was told how much you had an inventory and said that you had enough for me to buy and then when I show up you dont allow me to buy it. Cool story, though.Also, no you wont see me back there and Ive told about 4 people already who also wont be back. Youll notice the number of up likes on this comment.

Just went to the new outlet store in Chula Vista. Great place to shop, all kinds of computer stuff and more. Got a monitor, video card and speakers for cheap. They have a TON of stuff, worth spending some time looking around, you never know what you might find.

Today I went into the electronics store to complete my work station at home. Amir was beyond helpful! He helped me find everything I wanted and tested everything to make sure it all worked for me.I bought a Dell 24 Monitor, Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard, Anker Wireless Vertical Ergonomic Optical Mouse, VGA cord, USB to VGA adapter, a 5-Port USB Hub, and screen cleaner set for $107.75!! A new monitor and keyboard alone costs around $270 alone for these name brands (trust me, I checked!).Thank you for recycling these electronics - better for the environment and my wallet!

My friend wanted to buy several sticks of ram and called before he went there to alert the store clerk. But when we got there, the store clerk refused to sell us the sufficient number of ram sticks we requested even though there was plenty. I have picked up 2 desktop pcs, one Lenovo laptop and a iMac mini. They have good prices for used computers. The computers are still in good conditions. And can be upgraded. I only have one suggestions to them. That is, to blow out the dust in the desktops. I blew out some seriously huge dust bunnies out of the last desktop I bought. Both stores are nice.

I came across geeks candy shop while shopping for used computer parts on OfferUp to build my very first pc. I was in desperate need of something affordable that I could invest a little extra money into to make home office work way better. I found an Optiplex 9020 with an I-7 for a really great price. I was helped out by an employee named Daniel who answered all my questions and offered great additional parts such as upgrades to the ram and for the total price, I was really happy with my purchase. The employees really do well in allowing you to see the products work and can offer lots of advice. Also, I was pretty amazed by their products when I actually got inside. The nostalgia of their products is crazy, from newly built pc’s to super Nintendo’s and everything in between, they are sure to have something for everyone.

Geeks Candy Shop is an absolute hole-in-the-wall gem of place that has been my go-to for affordable PC hardware after the electronics recycling center at USD shut down 2 years ago. The staff offer great service and their selection of PC hardware is second-to-none. Ive found various tower computers from Core 2 era systems all the way up to 6th generation i7s as well as some 1440P monitors I currently use to this day. I also appreciate the headset gift I have gotten here a while ago and such a gesture is a sign of their generosity.

I was in need of a computer to run my PBX system and Nextcloud server. I went over there and was walked through the whole process of building the computer to my specs. Let me just get to the point, I would highly recommend this place. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. The end.

Scott and his team here is truly fantastic. Scott clearly understands the technologies and guides his customers well. The pricing on laptops, desktops are great and they also let you test the equipment out before you buy. I have been enjoying the Thinkpad I got from here so I was back again with a special project where I needed to test the power draw of an i3 based unit so I can run it 24x7 as a router, NAS. They have been getting some ultra low power mini pcs thats phenomenal value and the team patiently assisted me through the whole process. I needed to upgrade to 16gb and that was done in a minute for a small upcharge for the extra RAM. I even got a vga-dvi monitor, keyboard and mouse all included in the same great price. Way to go!

When covid started and we started working remotely, one of my co-workers found this spot. He gave the team the info but unfortunately I misplaced it and he was laid off. A month went by and I got a text from him about a job opportunity (I was laid off a month after he was) I asked him about the little place he mention and I am so happy he reached out.I needed a few items since I will be working remotely again and this place had everything I need it. I got a monitor, docking station, RAM, and a hard drive. My 17 year old has an online business and she got a second monitor, CPU, and a hard drive. Just seeing the excitement on the upgrade and that I could afford it was enough to give it more stars if I could. The prices are very affordable, the staff is great and helpful. You can test onsite before you purchase on one of their computers or BYO. I was very please with my purchases and will recommend them if you need inexpensive computer parts for doing business remote or even some gaming action. We have gone back and gotten another monitor and a hard drive for my sister and she is happy.

The long and the short is don’t buy from them, however here is the full story. I purchased a MacBook Air from this company that posed as a seller on the platform OfferUp which ended up being just this retail shop. When I brought the laptop home I notice it had a lock I assumed at first this was FileVault but turns out it was a firmware lock. I originally asked the store if it didn’t work if I could swap it for another one in their stock with a broken display. I was told this wouldn’t be an issue. I took it to the apple store in an attempt to remove the firmware lock but without the original receipt this wouldn’t be possible as it was most likely lost or stolen. When I returned to the store I was told they didn’t have the other laptop anymore and I couldn’t get a refund, which was a known policy when I purchased. While I knew I couldn’t get a refund I was taken back when the laptop I was told would be there for me to swap had already been sold. This left me holding a worthless laptop. After requesting multiple times from the very helpful sells associate they finally refunded my money. I would not recommend purchasing anything from this establishment.
