I came on Wednesday. Waited almost an hour for my turn to be helped. Once I did, i picked out my new phone and was ready to purchase. Waited more time. Finally, salesman comes back and apologizes for wait and tells me theres a problem with the system, its down so they cant sell me the phone. He said i can still wait and hope it comes back online, but they didnt know if or how long that might take.Sure issues happen, no problem. The salesman days hell keep the phone to the side and Id have to come back another day.So, i come back in today and the person checking people in says i have to wait in line again for an hour, even after explain the situation. She simply says sorry, i have to wait and thats its busy. I explain again, i should already have the phone and i have to go to the airport and cant wait an hour.She then goes to back room and returns saying the manager said i have to wait. Im guessing there was no manager, just a way to deal with customers. If there was, then this is even worse. What manager has that bad customer service skills and knowledge?I explain again, how Ive already been inconvenienced due to their problem, not mine, and Im back. Ive gone out of my way again to buy something that i should have had 2 days prior. I ask her, do you not understand how bad the customer service is to expect me to wait in line for an hour? She replies, yes, i understand but you have to wait.So, i left without the phone i wanted to purchase 2 days ago and needed for this weekend. Needless to say Ill never purchase from this store again and Ill probably be leaving Verizon when i return next week.

Beware of the misleading information that comes from Verizon. I would honestly leave them negative stars, but that’s not an option. My family has been loyal to Verizon for 20+ years, but our loyalty has proven to be meaningless. Due to family circumstances, I have recently taken the role paying the family’s bills. I started carefully auditing them, and wow, I’m stunned by what I’ve uncovered.Verizon fails to clearly communicate their “policies”,“upgrades” and “promotions!” I have found COUNTLESS hidden fees, and charges that are clearly inaccurate. Upon inspecting the itemization of my monthly bills, things obviously don’t add up. Now, I carefully review my monthly bill statements, and the discrepancies are apparent. The employees are highly dismissive on the phone and in their local stores. I have presented issues in both arenas, and I’ve been passed to a different department who then sends me to another department and so on and so forth without any resolution. I believe this a calculated tactic and effort to confuse patrons.Also, the departments fail to communicate with each other leaving you stuck in a negative feedback loop. Not to mention, putting me on hold and transferring to others, which has easily been an hour or two depending on their busyness. Hmmm..DO your RESEARCH! Read ALL Verizon’s FINE PRINT before they’ve trapped you into a contract that does not save you money, but quite the opposite. They are dishonest, disrespectful, and if you’re looking for a reasonably priced, fair, and transparent cell phone company, think twice before signing up with this disorganized and frustrating company.My family will be leaving them as soon as we possibly are able mid contract to either T Mobile or AT&T. It just simply makes more financial sense. They are simply greedy (more expensive than most competitors) and even when speaking to a “manager” they refuse to listen to your situation and stick you with an 800 customer service rep., who in turn then sends you to someone else or department, in hopes that you just don’t have the time or energy to ultimately resolve billing issues, orders placed, unwarranted data fees, etc. My family’s loyalty and yours is valuable and Verizon has unfortunately proven to disregard your commitment.Carefully watch your bills every month and this will be confirmation enough. OR, be wise, and give your hard earned money to an upfront and trustworthy cell phone company. Good luck out there y’all! Take care!! :-)

The sales woman lied straight to my face. She told me the iPhone chargers I have wont work with the new phone. She told me the charging port had changed - but, the only difference is the plug in to the wall. No difference in the plug that connects to the charger (thus, my old chargers still very much work with the phone). I am not sure what kind of person just knowingly steals money from hardworking people. Dont go here.

I was just at the Verizon store yesterday and spent a couple hours there as I got my new phone in the mail, had a complication with another phone/phone line (user error) and YADIRA made the entire process super easy and appreciated all of her knowledge with my account, transferring data from phones and fixing a goof up I had made with another phone/line on my account. At this point in time I am VERY happy with everything. I even witnessed some extremely UNKIND customers that were taking their own frustrations out on these poor reps. The way that the reps (Yadira & Bradley) handled themselves under these circumstances was WoW! They need a raise just for keeping their own composure and professionalism as I wanted to yell at these angry individuals for them. Not only that...they were yelling for something they did (i.e. Dropping his own phone in the bay). Kudos to your team and especially Yadira. She was amazing and wonderful. Bradley jumped in and was great as well! THANK YOU!

I was there about 6 months ago, the young lady treated me like worm, I walked out and went to Cricket instead.This after waiting for 30 minutes outside.I wouldnt recommend a dog go to that store.I had gone to Chula Vistas Broadway & H store, the guy there told me they only had one plan and it was for $110/ month, if I wanted Verizon, also walked away, think Ill TRY AT&T instead.You should hire people like humans and not some who just treats anyone as if you already make too much money, DO YOU?

Absolute worst customer service. staff is very rude. they sold me a “new” phone but it’s clearly refurbished. every month I have to call to dispute hidden fees on my bill. I’m switching to another carrier as soon as my contract is up. I hope other people don’t make the mistake of joining this horrible phone company.

My CSR Anthony was great. Everything went seamless as far as purchasing my phone and tablet. Im giving 4 stars because in the past Verizon would transfer all my apps, photos etc onto my new phone. They dont do that anymore. Hmmm...wasnt thrilled about that.

I purchased a hot spot jetpack with unlimited data about a month ago. Ive been receiving text messages saying Im over my data limit. I went to the Verizon store on sports arena blvd in San Diego where I purchased it. After waiting in line behind several people, I was finally at the front of the line. I told Jorge (Hoorhay) the Verizon employee my situation. He responded with right now during the pandemic we are only allowing certain people and situations inside to discuss their issues, so call 611 to speak with a customer representative . I told him I purchased the jet pack at this store and Id like to speak with a representative in person. He said that is not allowed. I then asked what particular issues and situations are allowed in the store. He did not have an answer. I asked him that same question several times. He still had no answer. The deeper issue is that I was the only black person in the line, in front of me and behind me. I asked to speak to a manager, and he said I am the manager... I asked to speak to a different manager- his reply--- wait for it... NO, was his answer. I dont ever use the race card. But in this situation it definitely applies. I had some choice words for him after that. I then went to my car which was parked right in front. I watched for another 10 minutes, and every single person that was behind me, at least 10 people, were let into the store..all white people... Shame on you Jorge and Verizon for hiring people like this. I am on my way to AT&T to change all of my services over to them.

Customer service is very important in a business! I have gone here several times and each time, the people that helped me really struggle with friendly and helpful customer service. it is important to remember to smile, keep eye contact, and be very kind when you assist customers. They will feel valued and like their business matters. Today, the sales person just looked at her nails as I asked her additional questions. She, specifically, could work on all of the above suggestions.

I was prepared to spend $1,100 on a phone today. They were not prepared to take it. I signed in and waited until I couldn’t wait any longer. I never got another look from anybody working there during the 30 minutes that I waited. Seemed like a lot of waiting by the other customers. It was 10:15 when I got there, not during peak rush. I guess I’ll spend my money somewhere else.

My phone was on its last leg and I needed to upgrade. The customer service representative was very well versed in the different options available. He was patient and took his time answering all my questions. Not only did I get the phone I wanted but was able to get unlimited data plan for not much more than we were already paying plus I got a bundle that included a battery pac, wireless charger, and an otter case and a discounted plan for being a veteran. We visited a non-company store before this and not only was the phone I wanted was unavailable the service rep was not very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this location. You will be happy that you did.

Just switched over from cricket to Verizon. Got a Galaxy S9 and love the phone and service. Along with the phone I also purchased a screen protector. The rep that was helping me, put in on incorrectly the first time so redid it but it still came out with bubbles. So he said to come back if they get bigger and hell replace it. The bubbles turned into the a huge bubble along the edge of the phone. I went back in and they replaced it again (still had some small bubbles) but was told Id have to go through the screen protector company to get a new one if it happens again.The small bubbles turned into a bigger bubbles and then the whole edge was a huge bubble. Luckily I have a lifetime warranty with screen protector company so can get a new one through them. Verizon should have put it on correctly so now I have to pay an additional $5-$10 for shipping&handling. Just so I can get the screen protector put on correctly. Very upset that I spent the money to buy a screen protector and they couldnt put it on correctly.DONT LET THEM PUT ON YOUR SCREEN PROTECTORS!!

I have never left a review for any company before, but felt compelled here. I wanted to ask to speak with a floor manager right away but needed to get out of that store since I was so upset.Yes, there is a bit of a wait, so be prepared for that, but it’s not really that bad. There’s seating all over and the store’s plenty nice.What was really alarming to me was how spectacularly rude the salesperson Brad was to me.I don’t know if he was having an off day or just wasn’t interested when he knew he wasn’t going to upsell me on something, but I’ve worked in the service industry for years and if I’d behaved that way towards anyone I wouldn’t have a job. Heck, I haven’t even had angry customers be that rude to me. Completely unhelpful, zero compassion, wouldn’t answer my questions (just “nope”), and when he realized he wasn’t getting a sale he walked away without saying “have a good day” or even “goodbye.” I get that he wasn’t going to make a commission or whatever on me, but it doesn’t hurt to be nice?I’m a polite, friendly person and I don’t understand why I was treated this way. I’m honestly amazed that Brad is able to keep his job when he thinks it’s okay to have such poor personal skills.

Avoid this store. Even if you plan to keep Verizon as a carrier do not do business here. The staff, particularly the manager Jorge, was incredibly rude and condescending. His demeanor was far from helpful, and instead of working with us after a very frustrating experience with Verizon, he added to the problem by telling my partner and I that WE needed to be professional, when his attitude was anything but. He insisted our phone was unlocked, even after a Verizon tech said it wasnt, instead CONTINUING to tell us how we should behave in his store.Its one thing if you cant help the person in store. But to be lied to, then treated in this manner is unacceptable.

Verizon Management has made it so their in store team members are toothless when it comes to solving any of your issues if your a customer. The response you get is simply, call billing where I now have to suffer through an automated phone system, which for a phone company isnt very good to begin with. This is an absolutely horrible model and it makes very many of us very angry.

I called this store 3505 Sports Area Dr since Verizon seems to be the only phone service that will work offshore when i go fishing. I the asked person that answered the phone about getting a new phone to leave on the boat since i already have a AT&T account. I feel Verizon does not have as good a coverage on land as AT&T does. Can you believe the guy actually started laughing at me and said It would not be financially smart, to have a phone just for your boat!!. I asked him You sell phones right? and he said Yes and continued to laugh at me so i hung up. If I had a cell phone that works offshore (45 Miles +) it would be worth every dime for the added safety and service. I called Verizon dealer Victra in Liberty Station and the girl was very helpful and gave me great phone service unlike the A-Hole that laughed at me from the Sports Area Dr store. I just felt very uncomfortable and embarrassed with the phone service i got so i though others should know, and i will be buying a phone from Victra

Was on a very tight schedule considering I had to cross the mexican border to pick up my replacement phone to avoid a 2 week wait. I walked in and let them know my perdicament, and asked for help initializing and transferring to the replacement phone. (The store in Vallejo was MORE than happy to help me last time, even sold me some accessories) The girl I spoke with seemed to nervously try to pawn me off. She offered me a place to sit alone and do it myself. Then implied several times that I didnt have to be there to do it. Other than that, the store representatives just ignored my requests for help. To be fair, there were a couple old people with seemingly deep pockets... But Ive been a Verizon customer since 2001... so... whatever...

Verizon employees were not capable of resolving my issues. Bought my phone and service plan 6 months ago. There service plan that I signed the contract for did not deliver. Also customers could not use the bathroom and I was in the store over an hour. Employees were nice just not equipped by management to alter data plan or add credit.

Just brought in my aunt for some voicemail help and he was like just call blah. I ask if he could print a step by step for my aunt whom doesnt get computers. And he was like go look online. Zero stars. On August 27th I entered the store at noon and left at 2:30. I had a complex problem that no one could solve including Verizon Tech but I was there so long I had to use the rest room. Consider this: I am a 72 year old man, frail and often need to use the rest room. So I requested to do so and I was directed to FRANK THE MANAGER WHO REFUSED TO LET ME USE THE BATHROOM. My 88 year old father wanted a basic cell phone with international calling on it, as he goes to Mexico every week, and wanted to keep the same Track Phone number that he has had for 25 years. Our salesperson was Mackenzie. I must commend her for the help she provided us over two days. We were in the store on Thursday and Friday for a total of 5 hours and she worked extra hours after we left the store. While you would think this may be an easy task, it wasnt. She kept me apprised of what she was doing, who she was calling and the issues that were arising. She remained patient and calm while navigating the issues.and having an 88 year old client. On Friday, she texted me at 4:00 to tell me that all had gone through, my dad had the plan he wanted and he could use his phone in Mexico. I just broke down in tears as I read the text and the kindness she showed to him. Thank you so much Mackenzie. I hope that management sees this review. I have already posted it in The Kindness Challenge on Facebook.

This Verizon store is a TAD bit better than all the terrible locations around San Diego, but not by much. You would think one of the biggest cell phone providers in the U.S. would preach customer service to their employees and expect their managers to properly manage their staff. Unfortunately I have walked in here many times and have had to wait 10 minutes before someone approaches me and asks if I need help. The other day someone greeted me right away and got my problem figured out within 10 minutes and that is the only reason I am not giving is a one star.

I had the most incredible service by Masood, yesterday. I walked in at 11am on a Saturday, expecting to have to wait most of the day to either get my phone fixed or buy a new phone. Masood greeted me enthusiastically as soon as I walked in, asked how he could help, asked to look at my phone, and began to work on it while he was checking customers in. He greeted each customer with the same enthusiasm that he greeted me with, and he apologized each time he had to put my phone down to check them in. In my mind, he didnt need to apologize, as he was taking care of my needs without having to wait 30 - 40 minutes like everyone else. As I said, I expected to be in the store most of the day, and Masood had me out the door with a fixed phone in about 7 minutes. It is rare to experience Masoods level of service. I was very impressed!

I was with Sprint, I came in to the sports Arena store to sign up two phones I started with Michael, They did not have the two iphone 6 in stock but before I was about to walk they stated they would give me the following if I was willing to sign up that day and wait for the phones to arrive in about 2 weeks. $150. per line porting from Sprint,$200 per i-phone phone trade in,2 little bluetooth speakers and wave activation. To date they have credit me the $150 per line porting and when I asked about the $200 per iphone trade in they told me that of the $400 I have a balance of $127 because I purchase the two little crappy speakers for $80 each, I just got taken by the sale rep Javier who looked me in in the eyes and shook my hand and said the speakers are a gift. I guess he had a quota to meet in pushing product and wasnt planing to be around after the holidays. Im not going to let this rest. Im going after Verizon wireless, They will be paying out alot more in legal fees and man hrs than the $ money they made off these cheap give away speakers speakers.

Terrible customer service Jessica the young lady who works the front needs to take some classes in customer service and how to treat people with respect. Does Verizon have any online classes that their staff can take? Employees do not seem to be able to chang my billing address. Went in 3 months in a row to have this done. Finally called customer service to get it done since no one at the Verizon store on sports arena Blvd did not seem to do their job
