They were so helpful in selecting an area really g, having it cut down to a size that would work for our unique area.

Back in November I went to Coles to replace my carpet with luxury vinyl planks and started working with Fariba. She was friendly, helpful and wasnt a pushy sales person. She let us take samples home to see how we liked them and when we came back with what we liked and didnt like about the samples, she showed us others close to what we liked about each sample. When we wanted to be extra sure about the one we wanted, she asked the manufacturer to send multiple planks so we could get a better feel for how it would all look. She then booked someone to come measure the property and finally booked the installation team. Our 1100 sq ft home took 8 days to remove the carpet and install the new floors. It was mostly done by just one person, Jesus. He was professional and efficient. I would recommend Coles fine flooring to anyone. The photo is when the new planks were in but not the baseboards yet.

The bamboo floor is perfectly installed and there is no comparison to the installation of the same flooring in other rooms, present before we bought this condo. I could go on but there’s not enough space or time. I highly recommend this company.

Lauren Coles was very knowledgeable and friendly in helping us select carpeting and more importantly was very helpful resolving an installation issue at our high-rise building and getting the carpeting installed as promptly as possible. Installers, Adolfo and Luis, were very friendly and competent and went above and beyond their job descriptions when the installation was first halted to make sure our unit was livable until installation could be completed.

Coles was amazing doing our major kitchen remodel (replaced EVERYTHING). What led us to Coles was that the others companies sent sales people. Coles Fine Flooring send Steve Hellman, the designer. Having the designer at this initial consultation allowed him to find out how we currently use the kitchen, and paint a picture of new possibilities.After a couple more consultations at Coles with Steve, we worked through the design details, working with 3D renderings, so we could easily picture how our new kitchen will look. At Coles, they also have a lot of the products on display, which helped when choosing materials and colors. Our kitchen was redesigned to a whole new configuration that included an island.The kitchen crew was very professional and did outstanding work. Our kitchen remodel was very involved, including hammering into the slab for new plumbing and electricity to the island. Steve the designer and Jose the PM were continuously involved, monitoring progress and work to make sure everything met the design.One very cool design option was that we went with an induction cook top, and could have it embedded within the counter so it is one sealed level surface (super easy to clean). Our new kitchen looks amazing, is far more usable, and actually looks bigger than the old kitchen!!

Our experience with Coles Fine Carpets was amazing. Linda Kemper who was Coles Designer was extremely helpful. She was very patient with us with all of our questions about the different types of carpets and styles of paddings. We were unsure of the texture and color that would be perfect for our home. So she let us take samples home to decide what looked the best. In no way did we feel pressured with her.Scheduling fore the installation went smoothly. Adolfo and his associate co-worker arrived on time to do the install. They were very professional in the performance of their job. They were careful so that no damage was done to our home. They were careful not to damage the furniture that needed to be moved to do the install. The completion of the carpet install looks fantastic. We recently purchased 1100 square foot of carpet for our new home, and Noel helped us through the entire process.We love the new gray carpet in our home, and are VERY happy we chose to purchase from Coles (and not from Lowes). Lowes didnt give us any personal customer service, no one called us back to help, and the experience with Lowes was VERY bad.In comparison, the moment we walked into Coles, a nice lady greeted us, someone (Noel) came to help, and she was very patient in telling us how to choose/purchase flooring (carpet or vinyl planks) for our house.The installation was also great, and were very happy with the decision!

All the installers were kind and professional as well. They got the job done in a timely manner, installing carpet and wood floors throughout my house. I couldn’t be more happy with the results! Coles installed vinyl floors in our condo in April 2021. Our credit card was charged for the entire amount a week before the project was even completed. After several phone calls and emails the charges were reversed. We paid the final amount but we still haven’t received the final invoice - it’s July 2021 now. I have left our Sales rep several voicemails and emails but to no avail. We have no warranty paperwork for material or labor either. We paid a pretty penny to Coles in expectation of good customer service…not all the hurt burns. Never returning to Coles. Not recommended.

Type project: Full home remodel of 936 sq ft condo- Remodel of kitchen- Remodel of master and guest bathrooms- Expanded master bathroom, moved wall in master to enlarge- Built out new closet in master- Installed closet doors in guest bedroomWorked with designer, Steve Hellman --- right from the start I felt comfortable with how Steve would approach this project from both a design and resource standpoint. He got my aesthetic quickly and made the design process enjoyable.The reason I engaged a design build company is that I wanted to maximize the small footprint in each room --- was not disappointed, as Steve kept a balance between my budget, function desired, and overall look and feel. He provided guidance every step of the way and I pretty much went with every initial suggested product. He specifically worked with suppliers to ensure the cabinet space in the kitchen maximized the layout. During one of our design sessions, I asked what he thought about making the peninsula wider; However, he discouraged this, to allow the extra space to open fridge and for the walkway. I went with his recommendation and as soon as the kitchen was in place, I was glad I did.Though Steve passed the job of managing the design execution over to the project manager (Jose), he stayed involved all along the way. He is passionate about making his clients happy and approaches design as an artist --- seeing his work come to life truly gives him joy. Not only that he helped me walk through the (unexpected) stress of having my whole house turned upside down.I truly appreciated the detailed plans and specs* provided to ensure the execution went well. The job went very quickly and smoothly. The minor and few concerns were resolved in a timely manner and with professionalism. I felt very comfortable leaving my house each day; I found the team was very considerate, always cleaning up, etc. --- they even got my microwave re-installed within ~3 weeks.I have had a few friend marvel at how quickly this job went; others initially shared their skepticism that it would finished as planned. In all, multiple friends commented on the quality of the materials and work, and many unique details. Definitely made me feel good about my decision to work with Coles. Overall, I am very satisfied with how this project unfolded and would highly recommend reaching out to Steve and the Coles team.

I brought my rug at Coles about four years ago, I am very happy with it. My rug still looks new. My friends and others ask me if I just got my rug when I tell them when I brought it they can’t believe it. The sales people are helpful want you to be satisfied. The carpet installers(Jose and helper)were on time. They quickly got to work removing furniture and started their process of measuring the space and installing the carpet. They worked without a break until the job was finished. We never saw them chatting on the phone or smoking cigarettes by their truck like so many workers do today. Jose checked in with us to be sure the placement of carpet was correct. They cleaned the space of scrapes and vacuumed the new carpet. Jose asked me to check over the work when they were finished.The carpet is beautiful and exactly what we hoped it would be.

My husband and I went in to get a quote in some new carpet. We looked around and found a few samples in our budget that we liked. We left our paperwork and information to schedule a measurement with the sales rep. We were never contacted. Our calls we unreturned. We ended up using another flooring company for our new carpet. I can’t recommend Coles though I’m sure others have had a good experience.

I was able to get my quote and measurements quickly. I learned about the different types of carpet to install and which one would be the best long-term for my condo. The install was the following week. The pricing was competitive and better than Lowe’s and other neighboring shops.

They were easy to work with and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to replace wall to wall carpeting.

In the end, I chose Coles for the job primarily because they could get carpeting faster than the box stores and install them sooner. This was the 2nd time I used this company to re-carpet our house. Wrong carpeting showed up and salesperson was leaving on vacation. I was in tears as we were about to celebrate my Dad’s 80th birthday. Lauren stepped in and did everything she could...which I appreciated and carpet was received and installed in the nick of time. Salesperson never really apologized for the anguish her ordering the wrong carpet put me through. Love the carpet though. So because of Lauren Cole’s actions and because I love the carpet...I’m still giving them 3 stars. Just won’t use that salesperson again.

We were greeted and were shown several flooring options. They were fairly priced but we opted for another provider. We had excellent service and would definitely recommend them. They have an impressive selection.

I can’t say enough about how pleased we are with our new carpet and the excellent customer service we received at Cole’s. Noel is terrific to work with! Her guidance was key to the whole experience. She really knows her products and was able to quickly narrow down our search and find the perfect carpet for our project. We’re looking forward to working with Noel at Cole’s again soon.

Easy to buy, but wait til you have a problem. They refuse to help, quote warranty issues, demand steam cleaning receipts and clean receipts within 30 days to use warranty and I could not do that, so just asked them to cut out stain and I would pay for it and they said they wont do it...their referalls for dry cleaners were astronomical. $800 for a 7 inch stain!! you can see they keep telling you about warranty. I dont care about warranty. I was WILLING to pay for the 3 spots to be cut out and they told they would and after coming over, wasted my time, said they dont cut carpet.

Overpriced.Edit: Nice people, the showroom is a bit overwhelming. I still say, overpriced, Cmon its carpet, its not a hard to get product. Same stuff sold around the corner from you at 5 other locations.

Noel was very friendly and accommodating in assisting me with making my carpet choice for a Little Italy condo. I explained my timeline and she worked to make it happen. The installers were prompt, efficient, and professional. The end result is spectacular! My parents relied on Cole’s in years past, and I’m glad I did too. We had a very disappointing experience with this company. We chose Coles over other larger companies because they are a local, family owned company and we thought they would take better care of us than a larger corporate flooring company. We were initially taken care of at our first visit and through our purchase but after that had repeated difficulty getting ahold of anyone to assist with questions and scheduling of our flooring install. We could not get a call or email back from our contact there and when asked to speak to a manager were sent through to voicemail of a customer service supervisor who never returned a call or email after multiple attempts. The employee who finally returned a call to set up the installation was not friendly and had no notes of previous calls made and information discussed at the time of purchase (and in fact stated I most likely did not call or talk to anyone since there were no notes in the computer). The work was eventually done but the workers needed to come back as some of the vinyl flooring was coming back up already (after about a month) and some gaps appeared in between the pieces of flooring. The follow up work was not great. The two stars are only for the workers who are independent contractors and were very nice and gave great customer service though the work was not of the highest quality. We only had our top floor done and still need the downstairs finished but are planning to find someone to do the work not affiliated with Coles. I honestly hate to leave a negative review but I truly was disappointed and would not recommend this company to anyone based on our experience.

The product is good, the consultant was knowledgeable, and the installation was efficient and clean. The company immediately gave me a small credit which I requested for service not provided and I am very satisfied with the results.

For a month now I’ve been happily using my new kitchen that Steve Hellman designed for us. And it is a dream! Not only is it aesthetically pleasing but it’s exceptionally functional as well. The many features Steve incorporated allows me to feel completely organized. I appreciate that Steve was able to design our dream kitchen and stay within budget. His attention to detail ensured the project went smoothly and every piece was thoroughly thought out. He provided a timeline for the build and install, and everything was right on time. The end result shows his masterful work. Steve was always available to us throughout the project design and build and he even offered suggestions and tips for renovations we were undertaking that were not part of the kitchen.

I knew what brand of vinyl I wanted in my kitchen/dining area, but Coles had the color samples to look at and choose from. The install went very fast and the end result is better than I imagined. You cant go wrong choosing Coles for your flooring needs.

I was recommended by a friend inwho is tetired from the flooring biz to go to Coles in Morena area and ask for Farina. I made an appointment and upon meeting her i was thankful for the advice. She listened to my concerns and in an hour or less of showing me carpets, i was pretty sure i knew what i wanted . I went home with a sample for a few days and scheduled a measurement appt. The measurer and installers, like award winning Fariba, were professional, courteous and done in no time. Very easy investment from beginning to end. I highly recommend Coles.

Terrible service. I paid $100 to have someone come out and measure for for Pergo flooring. I never received a quote, even after repeated phone calls to the representative. (Linda, I believe her name was.) I also wanted to purchase about $4,000 in carpet from a prior proposal at Coles, but Linda also never returned my calls about that. So all in all, I have spent $200 un measuring costs with them and find it impossible to actually order anything from them. A big waste of time and money! I am surprised they are still in business.

My original review was 5 stars before the issues began, sadly. I was understanding that our representative messed up the scheduling, thinking they would make up for it. I was wrong. We had scheduled our flooring project in a certain time frame, which it was completed in. HOWEVER, the installers told us they were busy working on a hotel project as well which took priority. I know this because they saw the defect in our flooring and grinded it down enough to make it appear okay to the eye. I noticed our floors SLOPING because they did not fix the cracks and it was not level. I had to bring this up because I could roll an actual ball on our floor and have it travel downwards. They came back after my dissatisfaction, AFTER we had moved in so we had to move ALL our furniture out for DAYS on end with all the grinding noises while I worked from home, smoke flying in the air, our kitchen blocked off. We also had to hire the painter again to do our baseboards again. It was SO stressful and an overall disaster. It saddens me to write this, but it is the truth. Poor quality service in my personal experience.

Extremely disappointed at this business. My mother and I walked into Coles looking for an area rug. With 2 employees standing in the front desk no one acknowledge us, which is fine I dont always expect them to. We walked all around the place till we found the rugs. Once we found them we really liked one so I asked a person to see if he could help us. I said excuse me and ignored me and thought maybe he didnt hear me so I said it again. He looked my way and I ask can you help me out please. He said just go to the front desk, I am busy in such a rude way. And left. I would had expected the bad costumer service from businesses in South Carolina but not in San Diego. I always brag about how there is not as much discrimination here in San Diego but maybe I was naive and not paying attention to it.

I’ve had the pleasure of doing business with Cole’s Fine Flooring for several years. They have installed both carpet and luxury vinyl in several of my rental apartment units and are soon to install both in my mom’s home. Their prices are competitive and installers are the very best. Gina has been my sales associate at Cole’s from the beginning and has taken excellent care of my needs all along. Trust them, I do.

Steve Hellman is undoubtedly the most professional kitchen designer I have ever worked with. Steve produced beautiful renderings which he was able to quickly & easily manipulate to show us different concepts of how our designer kitchen could look. For us it was incredibly insightful to have the opportunity to change items in the render to be able vision more accurately how things could be put together. We found Steve not only intuitive, but also incredibly accurate & pragmatic. For the average person it is not easy to think about little things. Steve guided us through the whole process and did the designing for us, whilst explaining thoroughly the why of every cabinet & drawer and how they collective functioned in an essentially engineered manner. The end result of our designer kitchen can be summed up as exquisite. If you care about precision & perfection, Steve Hellman is your guy😁

Noel was very helpful in dealing with delays from the flooring company. She kept us informed of delayed deliveries as well as when the items were delivered. We are very pleased with our experience at Coles.

Coles has always been our “go to” store for wall to wall carpeting (beginning in the early 1980’s), our area Karastan carpeting, our hardwood flooring and most recently our kitchen/family room flooring. Although, I love the finished look and I am pleased with the Lifetime Warranty on product and install, I encountered a postponed install (1.5 weeks) and then received a different floor than ordered which delayed another 3 weeks and also billing discrepancies- hence the three stars rather than 4 or 5.

Coles did a great job. Very polite, professional and friendly. They also found a problem with one of the rooms and instead of just finishing the work made it right and then completed the work. Very satisfied with the total project.

First of all the salesperson was awesome in helping find a quality carpet within my clients budget. She worked late into the evenings so I could present a quote to my clients before theyleft town.They requested it be installed while they were out of town, which worked out, especially because I’m leaving town tomorrow.The installers were fantastic!!! So meticulous and fast. There is not a seam showing anywhere, even with a pattern in the carpet. They moved all furnishings and placed it back. Left the home in total order. Cannot day enough about how impressive they are!!!

Another example,  when the project started, we knew the completion date would be after Thanksgiving. Given our children were coming home for the holiday, we pushed Coles to complete at least one bathroom ahead of the schedule. Coles managed to complete the hallway bathroom in time. On the day before Thanksgiving one of Coles guys came by with a shower curtain and rod. It turned out they also finished the master bathroom shower, but was waiting for the shower door. He put up the shower curtain in order for us to use the shower in the meantime.We had a wonderful experience with Coles.

We stopped by Coles a month or so ago because we needed to replace flooring at our investment property. We were greeted by Fariba, who was very knowledgeable and friendly. She quickly discerned what we were looking for and showed us several colors and price points in luxury vinyl plank. She was so helpful and honest that we were able to make a choice right then. We did not have to “shop around”. She also set up an appointment to get an estimate on installation. Carlos came out and was very thorough in his estimate and took the time to answer all questions. We agreed to have his crew do the installation. It was a fair price and his guys were honest and hard working and did a flawless job. With installation, you get basically a lifetime warranty included. Fariba was available and willing to help with any questions throughout the process. Lauren Coles, the advertising face of the company, is onsite daily managing the company.

If you are so busy that you can’t even quote a price, how will you be able to provide the service we need.If I could rate anything lower than one star I would. Incredibly disappointing.

Dave B was a superb and skillful designer. Very easy to work with and possessed a pleasing personality. He’s a credit to Coles Flooring. Very patient and personable that made my wife and I feel very comfortable and confident of the Coles product. Every question and concern we had was well addressed. The flooring and carpet installers he assigned were great. The completed work was magnificent. Well done!.

Carpet is absolutely beautiful!! Love it; and the installers were fantastic, moved all of the heavy furniture, disassembled & reassembled beds, and multiple file cabinets that were attached to a desk top in the office. Well worth the extra expense.

I was quite impress with the customer service I received from Nikki and Matt at Cole’s. I had a seam in my carpet that was lifting, and Matt worked his magic and fixed it. Nikki was friendly and professional. She always returned my calls and scheduled the repair in a timely manner.

Such great service and friendly people! When trying to find just the right item, be it flooring, backsplash or anything else, they take their time selecting it with you to get it right and ensure your home looks exactly as you hoped.

I was extremely satisfied and delighted with Coles, the designer, Steve Hellman and the teams services. Steve Hellman provided exceptional design, material suggestions and oversight direction. The team was great and I was thrilled the project was completed on time and on budget! The Buildertrend software application was user friendly and kept me on top of and plugged into the project at all times —even though I was 3,300 miles away for the first and last week of the project.My previous construction projects were disastrous in comparison. Coles and your design and management skills were head and shoulders above the big box retailers and private competitors—not to mention the exceptional tradesmen skill doing the project work. It was exceptional!!I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Coles and designer Hellman again.

The sales associates were very friendly and accomodating. I was escorted to the area behind the scenes, to find the size if carpet I needed. They are not displayed on the floor showroom. I was then assisted by the desk/cashier, to make my purchase. The sales team were all very kind and personal. I ll return in the future for any needs I may have for flooring purchases.

We love our new flooring and couldn’t be happier. Our experience with Hanna was exceptional,she’sa real asset to Coles, very professional and like able at the same time, a real pleasure doing businesswith her. Our floor installer Francisco was likewise and he did an excellent job, above and beyond! I would recommend Coles to anyone, we’re very satisfied customers.

Coles is our go-to for flooring and bathroom. A large variety makes it hard to choose ;) Gina has been fantastic helping us with our remodel. This has been our 3rd time purchasing from Coles. Great prices. We will be back!!!!!

Katie was awesome! She was very helpful in thinking through design options for my bathroom, matching tile to samples of my existing tile, professional, patient, and responsive! Thank you Coles Fine Flooring for generously donating free rugs to teachers! I have been a teacher for 10 years and this is my first rug. I teach special education in a Title 1 school, and it means so much to me and my students! They love playing with blocks and we were previously using a large towel as a rug. My students were so excited to have a rug and even asked for breaks just to sit on it and rub their feet on something soft! Thank you!!!

We visited 3 different flooring stores in San Diego and were really pleased with the prices and service at Cole’s! Our Customer Service Representative was Cierra, and she was by far and away, the most knowledgeable about different flooring materials and worked hard to find the best choice to meet our needs with vinyl plank flooring! She also let us know that Cole’s would match a competitor’s price, which they did for us, and they also had very quick delivery! Thanks Cierra and Cole’s, our new flooring looks beautiful!

We used Coles for two projects over the last few years. Both projects went great. Service at the store and during the project was fast and attentive. Great quality of work too. I would definitely recommend using them.

Dave T. Was really helpful in pointing me in the right direction to find the carpet I needed. I had no idea that you could get large remnants at greatly reduced prices... Large enough for a whole room! And the same high quality. Coles turned out to be a great choice... From purchase to installation... I would use them again in a minute!

Generally good experience. Good choices for flooring that matched our house very well. Very responsive with getting the order through and work done in a expeditious manner. Sales customer service was great. Only disappointing thing was for the install. Installers were not careful to wear booties in the house and thus tracked mud in on floors when coming in. Also, they did not vacuum up all the dust and carpet bits after finishing so I had to mop floor and vacuum after they were gone. That is a area of improvement for future customers that I would recommend.

Two years after our laminate flooring was installed we had a problem with a couple of the planks separating in a high traffic area. Coles sent someone to look at the problem and then sent Ulysses and his team to do the repair. The “repair” involved removing and relaying the entire kitchen! It was done so professionally and promptly. I couldn’t be more satisfied!!!

We just had Coles Fine Flooring install new carpet throughout our entire home and we couldnt be more delighted with the extraordinary level of customer service that we received from Gina Moreno, Designer, at the Morena Blvd location. Gina was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with! We were also impressed by the installation process. Gino and team were friendly and professional, they took extreme pride in the quality and detail of their work. We would highly recommend Coles to anyone looking for a top-notch company you can trust.

Noel is absolutely wonderful to work with, she is extremely talented and very knowledgeable. With her design expertise she is able to help you create your vision and take it to the next level. Im beyond grateful she was there to help us that day. When you have a many different visions and ideas and are overwhelmed by options she is able to put you at ease by providing great direction and feedback.

Cole’s made a beautiful area rug. So glad I went there and got what I wanted instead of buying something pre-made. And the price was great too. Good experience!!
