Superb service and selection for such a small, local store.Quality brands like Clark, Dansko and some newer ones that will help with large toe box and high arch issues, something most folks in their 50s and on up should consider for better foot health into ones 60s, 70s and beyond.I just never get a good fit with online orders. In person makes all the difference and its getting harder and harder to find merchandise this way. Grateful for small business owners still willing to stay that way. Doreen is a superb saleslady, so professional & knowledgeable.

I wanted to order a pair Dansko I saw on line. Dansko gave address of Footwear etc. and other local stores. This store has fewer brands than they show on their website. It was a disappointment to find shoes, but not what shown on line. Dansko was my preferred brand,but this experience has giving me better ideas on buying my next quality shoes and sandals.

While not the hugest store, what they have is great for those looking for quality mens/womens footware when support, orthopedic quality matters. Large selection of orthopedic inserts. Staff was very patient and helpful.

Fast, knowledgeable service. A carefully-curated assortment of high-end shoes etc. - its the only place Ill go for running shoes, work shoes, and anything where my feet are going to be exposed to extremes. Today it was orthotics, and these guys (Eric was the man!) know their stuff. Prices arent clearance outlet level, but theyre competitive. Buy with confidence here.

What a great show store! Ive stopped trying to buy shoes online for my hard-to-fit feet. Im much happier getting my feet fitted in person at Footwear, Etc., knowing Ill come home with a pair of shoes that actually fit my feet. And they sell the best collection of charming socks!

NOT GREAT ! My wife and I each wanted to buy a pair of quality casual walking shoes. Footwear etc stores in Little Italy ( closed ), Encinitas and Hillcrest have received ALL our footwear business for a few years so we made a special trip down to the Hillcrest location on Sunday. We arrived around 12.30pm and parked in a free parking spot in a side street near the store. To our surprise the front entrance was barricaded preventing our free entry....a tall male sales employee came over and removed the barrier so we could enter the store. HOW STRANGE ! Within seconds he wanted to know if he could help us....I told the guy ( Tariq it turned out to be ) that I would let him know when we needed his help. As I expected their mens shoes selection was even less than the last time I bought a pair of shoes here over 3 years ago. Its a Footwear etc trend I have noticed since the Little Italy location closed a few years ago....less mens shoes more womens shoes. WHATEVER ! These guys used to stock lots of Merrell ( one our fav brands ) but very little Merrell could be seen. The sales dude Tariq said that because of covid shipments of Merrell shoes to their stores was non existent. We were initially the only customers in the tiny store until another couple came in a few minutes after us. My wife found a couple of styles worth trying on and Tariq fetched those shoes for my wife. We werent that impressed with the quality of shoe choice that we saw in the store and to be honest not very impressed with Tariqs people skills. We did buy 2 pairs of comfortable casual walking shoes that day but not from this store. But thats another story !

A little pricey but worth it. Knowledgeable staff who treat you so well. Great products also.

Attentive and friendly sales associates at this location. Even though Im a larger size they typically have in stock what they are showing on the floor. During Covid they are taking temperature checks prior to visitors entering store as well as limiting the number of shoppers in the space at a time.

I did not realize that this was a chain, so when I wandered in recently I was shocked to learn that it was the same store I had frequented in Sunnyvale, CA. It wasnt just the same in name only. The quality of the service, products, and knowledge about shoes and feet is unparalleled in retail shoe stores. As someone with lifelong issues with his feet, but without insurance coverage for custom footwear or orthotics, this stores is a life changer. Could not recommend this store higher.

Excellent shoe store especially for difficult-to-fit feet. Eric, the manager, and the sales associates, Tamara and Tariq, are deeply knowledgeable about the shoes they carry. They take the time to fit shoes properly depending on the foot type, so buyers can be assured of a comfortable shoe.They also have a return policy for buyers who may find their shoes don’t perform as expected in the first month of wear.In the last 3 years we have bought more than a dozen pairs of shoes, and have encouraged our friends to buy there as well. Everyone has had a positive experience.

It’s been awhile since we’ve actually visited a shoe store(been buying online). Eric helped wife and I, once I explained to him issues having with feet, he our measured my feet. WOW, what a difference it makes knowing your correct measurements!! All these years been wearing incorrect shoe size and one week after wearing correct size I can already feel huge difference and hopefully will correct damages already done! HUGE THANKS to Eric for helping us!!

First time to come to this store after visiting the podiatrist and receiving a recommendation for insoles here. This place is amazing and has all the shoes, insoles, and other products for the best support for your feet! This store is going to be the best friend when it comes to helping control my foot pain! The staff was wonderful and helpful as well!

The gentleman remembered the particular model I liked even though it wasnt on display, and found it and the other store, then Galina called and secured passsage for them to be delivered by another employee within a few hours. This was our first visit to this fairly new Hillcrest site since it was relocated from Little Italy a while back. My wife and I have bought most of our shoes from Footwear etc for a number of years starting with the Little Italy store and then the Encinitas one since we moved to Solana Beach. The range of quality brands and the informed personalized service has kept us coming back. I needed a new pair of smart casual everyday shoes and I was hoping that I might find something as comfortable as my Vionic casuals which I bought from Footwear etc a fair while back. I was lucky to run into a very intuitive sales assistant named Ruth who boldly pointed out that I should try on a pair of Merrells which she showed me. They were having a huge sale and not only did I buy the Merrells which were very comfortable but I saved $30 off the tagged price of $80.SUPER GOOD DEAL!!!! We also had a chat with sales assistant Dan and another male customer who bought the same style of Merrells as I did....and saved a bundle of cash too. There are even dedicated customer parking spots at the side of the store which is a real bonus in very busy Hillcrest. We are never disappointed when we shop at Footwear etc.
