LOVED the amount of selection of paints and color pencils this place had. Literally aisles and aisles of color and different mediums from so many brands. Even found a little clearance section for wax seals.

Nice product selection, reasonable prices. I like the wrapping paper section and the huge options for pens and colored pencils. Yous can find here also not so common gifts like vintage look puzzles. Its a good stop while strolling in Little Italy.

What can you say about this place...They have it all, no matter what medium you want to use to express your art. If it is Painting they have Oil, Acrylic, & Water colors ready made or mix your own. For Drawing they have pens, pencils, markers, chalk, & crayons. If you want to Air Brush they everything to get you up and running or to keep you going. Along with all of that they have all of the accessories from canvases to sketch pads

The only reason I cant give them a 5 star is because the sales are never truly sales, they are clever wording to get you in the door. Other than that, staff is super helpful and they almost always have what I need. They have a parking lot which you have to go inside to get a pass and bring it back to your car. Its in Little Italy so its just another opportunity to people watch as you walk back to the store again from your car anyway.

Great little store with lots of crafting and painting material. They did not have what I came into the store to get, but I did not leave empty handed. This location has a parking lot next door and once you go inside they provide a parking pass for the duration of your shopping trip. Parking in little Italy can be quite challenging but while visiting Blick it is a breeze!

This was my second time at this particular location. Everyone there was helpful when I had questions. The staff is very friendly which Ive found the staff at the Fullerton location is the same. I highly recommend a stop here the next time you are in San Diego, Ca.

I have not been to their store, but I do know that their parent company sells brushes made with animal hair. It is 2021 and synthetic brushes are appropriate in an educated society. Please consider where the products that you sell originate from. Your customers will appreciate the effort.

My kids loves art and they enjoyed the store. They offer to customers a members card, and has a good deal in store and online, too. There is a store parking next to it, but it was already taken not enough park sapce so I had to park far away.

This is a fun place to shop for art supplies. You can browse the aisles and find all kinds of interesting things. The parking is a bit of a pain, but that is Little Italy for you.

I love this place so much. When I was in class learning I would come here about twice a week. If your from one of the local school they give you a membership card (just show your school id) and if your in the architecture program they ask that you let them know ahead of time when you get assigned a new materials heavy project so they can have everything you need in stock. Everyone is so kind. Ive had staff help me look for a single sketch book for like 30 minutes. Make sure to wear your mask and if your parking in their lot get your ticket inside. They rearranged somethings around so some things are in new spots.

Its been around a long time and it is the best art supply store in San Diego.

Im not a smart man, but when I need art stuffs, I goes here and they tell me what I actually need to make it looks betters.

If I were an actual artist this would be heaven, but I am a little crafty and I love Blick. I trying my hands at book binding and couldnt find particulars at my Hobby Lobby. Blick had a section dedicated to my craft. I found almost everything I needed there.Yes theyre pricy. Yes I couldnt find absolutely everything I needed. BUT it was great start!Great atmosphere and selection. Plus the ppl there are amazing 🙌🏻They have their own parking and as long as you dont wander off somewhere to eat or walk into another store its great to actually swing by and grab and go if needed.Definitely recommended. Dont let the one way streets and airport traffic scare you. Come on by!

Blick is an extremely friendly and well stocked store with anything you could want for art supplies. Their mechanical pencils selection and drafting pens is vast with any option you could want. They have hundreds of notebooks, pads and paper options along with colored pencils, pens, paint and any other supply you could possible want. They have tons of staff around to help and everyone is very helpful and upbeat.

Whether youre an artist or there because youre supporting one, this is a spot to go to!Ended up finding a bunch of fun nick nacks!Their miscellaneous section was my favorite, they had patches, feminist books, pens, sketch books, cannabis bandaids, it was an adventure lol. At the end, I left with a cute pen, pride patch, and unicorn tea infuser 😂They had one of the biggest collections of paints and boards I have seen, overall art materials were abundant and there were so many choices to choose from!The employees were welcoming and helpful, give this place a go!

The assistant manager is a condescending millennial know-it-all, who when you ask for help gives a generic robotic answer that you would get from a computer.The manager does not really care about customer concerns, and the products within the store are becoming more and more limited in a variety of products.Better to not even shop here, and try your luck in Los Angeles or other places concerning stores like Blick.

Blick is a very nice store, it also has free parking for customers right on the left-hand side. Although, its in little Italy so its very busy almost always unless you get there before it opens and wait. Its also incredibly expensive, but the quality is there. If you dont need to get your spllues right away its probably best if you just order off of Amazon, but there might not be as big of a selection. One plus is that they offer student and teacher discounts, just show them your school ID.

*I am not an artist so this review should be taken with a grain of salt.*From what I saw, the selection of most things in this store was pretty vast.Not only was the selection of materials themselves varied, there was also an area containing easels, art portfolios ets. I will say I expected a better selection of mechanical pencils but they made up for it with their selection of mechanical pencil led types.The prices are pretty high to me but then again, they could be standard for a specialty store.Lastly, it was pretty difficult to catch an employee on the sales floor. There was one guy stocking new product. I had a question but honestly when we happened to make eye contact he just looked away without a smile.Im the type of shopper that wont ask my question to an employee unless they come up and ask if I need anything or whatever.Honestly I think optimum customer service should always include one or 2 employees making sure everyone in the store has been interacted with at least once before checking out.Anyway, I think this place was pretty good overall but I have to say Ill be relying on Amazon for any future art supply purchases.

I have come to the conclusion that customer service is definitely not a priority here. Time and time again its less than pleasant to the point that when the service is actually good, its almost shocking. Been buying art supplies here since 2002. From here on out Ill order my wares online to avoid the disconcerting cashiers.

AMAZING prices for AMAZING products. The atmosphere is so nice and happy, its so easy to spend a few hours just browsing! The smell is refreshing and the local art featured on the walls bring forth so much inspiration. Everyone should switch from Michaels to Blick if they can, the prices and quality are so much better at Blick.

I really love this place and also the fact that it is only one block down and one block over makes it nice. However, be advised they may seem to have everything.... But remember this is an ART supplier, which is not to be confused at a hobby lobby or Michaels. Its like Bob Ross vs Severija Incirauskaite-Kriauneviciene.

As an artist and a teacher, Blick is my one stop shop for all supplies. The staff are always very helpful, often helping me take loads out to my car. The parking lot adjacent to the store is very convenient. The webmatch program that blick offers is a great way to get quality art supplies on a budget!

It has a decent selection of art supplies also for a decent price. Its a nice place to drop by and check out if youre going through little italy and when its not busy it has its own parking lot. They have great back to school sales and Christmas sales, but on regular price, you might get better deals at artists and craftsman.

I like that theyre technically open right now, but the online ordering for curbside pickup could be much better.You should be able to enter your credit card info online. The way it is now you just submit a wish list and they call you and you have to read them your credit card number over the phone to go there for curbside pickup.I think this is because they have to check to see if what you want is in stock. They dont have a computerized inventory monitoring system like Michaels does, who in addition to proper online ordering for curbside pickup, are also fully open even to walk inside right now.

I brought my son here to buy some art supplies. Its a really cool store. The staff is VERY helpful, and they had EVERYTHING my son needed. And even things he didnt need! They have their own little parking lot, which is WONDERFUL! And your parking is validated as long as you purchase something!

A lot of the stuff they have on their website isnt actually in the store. I went there for oil paint thinner from a specific brand which was on their website but wasnt in the store. They do carry a lot of Bob Ross oil painting supplies which I love.

I come here on my lunch break from work, workers are nice and helpful. They always have what I need, from paint and pastels to hobby knives and texture gels.

Block is a terrific art store in the heart of Little Italy. They carry oodles of art supplies- if theres another art store in San Diego that comparable, I havent been there yet. If you fin yourself in Little Italy, its definitely worth a stop. If you are a San Diego artist, its worth the drive!

I go here all the time, and the brands that you find here are more than what youd be able to find at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. They offer student discounts in certain times and really great discounts during the holidays. I think its worth it if youre dedicated to the arts and you want a place to get higher quality products.The only catch is that its a pretty busy place to navigate through if you are planning on going here by car. Thankfully they have a small parking lot, but if youre taking the trolley it isnt too far from the stop and its convenient.
