Amazing store of Victorian era clothes and accessories. Each piece of garments beautifully and professionally made, it’s not a regular store quality. The staff is fantastic and will let you try everything and find your perfect items. Strongly recommended for everyone who loves historical costumes.

Came in expecting just a quick look around, however i was quickly amazed by all they had around. I ended up getting a pocket watch, which I have wanted for years, the attendant was really nice and showed me how to use it. Definitely will be coming back!

Ohhhhhh my God The Johnson House was like walking into a candy shop for me this was my second time in Old town san diego and on February 26th through the 28th I found me the best 5 star antique Boutique the people are SOOOOOOOO helpful and when you ask them something you being looking for they know all about it and show you where to look I had the best ever sale person her name was Chanel or Chantelle but she was amazing with me and I wish one day I could own a store like this one very clean they give you the best hospitality you can get I bought so much stuff I really enjoyed myself in there and for sure this will be on my A+ list to go to as soon as I get back on vacation...The Johnson place will be my first stop and then chantelle her husband owns a leather shop that has old fashion moccasins which I would love to get a pair of them.... This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE STORE! I could have spent hours in this store looking through their vintage trinkets and fabulous clothes and accessories. Anything related to vintage from a time long forgotten, its probably here in this store. Vintage vintage vintage! I felt like i was stepping back in time. Victorian, great gatsby, breakfast at Tiffany’s... the finery in this store is unmistakably a hidden gem of San Diego. The proprietor is very easy going and helpful and always available to assist and answer questions. I fell madly in love with a vintage truly one of a kind hat, but since I was traveling didn’t buy it while visiting San Diego. Later i called the shop and they still had it and had it shipped to me. Even though I’m 1700 miles away, I’m going to do what i can to keep buying something from this store. I love wearing vintage!

We love the Johnson House and its proprietor! She has no problem shipping up to us in Oregon and she has such knowledge of the period for many of the items in her shop. Ive gotten a purse for my wife, a cane for myself, jewelry, shawls... All kinds of things! Love it!

I have gone to Old Town for years and for some reason never stopped in this store, I checked it out a few weeks ago with my aunt and instantly fell in love! Everything is absolutely beautiful, I bought a lovely red rose shawl that is one of the prettiest things in my wardrobe if not the prettiest. The staff that works here is equally as amazing, they were very helpful and kind! If you are in Old Town I definitely recommend stopping by!

This is a reconstructed building, which originally had been built in 1870. The boutique sells Victorian/vintage merchandise. If you are in the need for an historical attire, see this place.
