I discovered this store online when I was looking for an international and specifically Mediterranean food market..and I can say this is the best location for that. Everything is clean and well organized there...et we can get every product were looking for..North African, middle East, Asian and a lot more. The prices are well displayed and affordable too. I highly recommend this place if youre on a Mediterranean diet...or just want to discover more flavors and traditions from abroad.

Went mostly for the bread which is fresh and warm. Some vegetables are inexpensive so I stocked up such as cucumbers, lemons and peppers. Awesome selection of sweet confections. Very reasonably priced. Selection of frozen foods are impressive and lots of varieties. This is a place to explore and try different foods . Always very busy but cashiers are quite quick so you are not in line very long. Highly recommend as an international market.

A favorite store for my family. Fresh curry leaves available which are difficult for me to find elsewhere. Lots of great food stuffs for different eastern cuisines. Staff is helpful when asked but otherwise keep to themselves. Would help if Ali Baba also sold cookbooks. Im new to cooking eastern cuisines and am unsure how to combine these delicious looking foods and aromatic spices.

My go-to place in San Antonio for spices, tea, and fresh-baked pita bread. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the product that youre getting and the staff is always willing to help.

Wonderful International Arabic supermarket. Amazing staff from overseas with fairly reasonable prices. We liked the fresh veggie, fruits and middle eastern breads are not found in our local grocery stores like fresh Basil, Date, etc.

Surprised at the variety and the fresh pits bread. Decent prices on most things and if you are looking for goat, they got it there.

I sat in the car while my wife shopped and watched four pallets of food sit on the sidewalk for over an hour and a half. I was bored, because again my wife shopped for an hour and a half and started reading labels. There were items that should have been refrigerated as well as chocolate candies. Kind of makes me wonder how safe the other items are in the store.

Went on Friday evening october 8, 2021 with the fam and was happy to see good products at reasonable price, but always expect rude behavior and bad looks from one of the male foreign casheres. He snatches the money from my familys hands when paying, is harsh at packing our groceries and rudely hands us back our change, sometimes even dropping our change. I hope that its not that we are mexican people in a predominately foreign grocery store. Other than that it is a really good store, love there price on dated, 24 oz for $4.99 wow, and the quality of the fruit and vegetables is exceptional.

Went there to find all the stuff to make some Gyros. We already had the breads, but needed the meats and the tsasiki sauce. Found it here as well as some lettuce tomatoes and Persian cucumber. A great experience at this store and I will be going back!

Went all the way from a far city to shop there, everything was good, until i saw that bad attitude of a cashier, i don’t know her name, but she wears hijab and she is short. She started slamming my things and sighing just because i told that i don’t want some items. What a bad attitude person for a nice place!

Smells weird but a fun place to visit. Armed guards outside, I wonder what happened for them to have those but makes it feel a bit safer I guess. Have interesting and well priced items like lamb brain and baklava! Best baklava Ive had. Wish they had more drinks.

Outstanding Mediterranean SupermarketHad I walked into this place in a small Turkish town it could not have been any more amazing. Finding it in San Antonio was a total surprise.From the vast selection of Middle Eastern products, the like of which Ive not found anywhere else on this side of the Atlantic, to the Arabic music, eclectic clientele, and completely disorganized nature of this store, I fell in love with Ali Baba the moment I walked through the door.If youre yearning for some traditional Mediterranean and Middle Eastern wares, this is the right place for you. Even Phoenicia in Houston doesnt carry some of the things I found here.

Ali Baba was highly recommended by a friend and now we know why! If you are interested in Indian, Turkish or Mediterranean inspired Cuisines you will be like a child in a candy shop :)We recommend going about an hour or so after opening so you can get fresh, hot pita breads or the Turkish flat breads.

Always helpful! Looked up a few prices for me and helped me select some items, as they were not printed in English. Great prices and value for the money! Much cheaper and much more friendly and helpful. I gave $20 too much and the clerk pointed that out, as well! Honest, friendly, excellent customer service and great value on the pricing and products. I love this place!!!!!!!!!!If you need anything middle eastern then this is your one stop shop.Ali Baba even has a better Indian food selection then anywhere else I’ve seen in San Antonio.They have all the south Indian sweets we love in their frozen isle.

Super awesome imports store that has everything you could need to make Mediterranean and middle eastern dishes! Everyone was super nice. I got a super fantastic olive oil and honey from Greece and an assortment of baklava. They also have a great meat selection. I got an entire leg of lamb and the worker was very helpful in advice with cooking it. They have almost 2 aisles worth of spices alone. Their garlic was fresh and they have rwally good dates. After all that, this was my final meal.

So far the best store for gcc crowd. You will find most of your Middle East items that youve been craving for.

They have such a great variety of products here! Meets all of my needs. Desi, Indo-Pak, Mediterranean, Arab, you name it, they got it! I also love their breads. And very clean, well-maintained store!My only issue is that sometimes, the cashiers are not friendly and dont even say hi. They could improve customer service.

We found this store a fun place to explore with a wide variety of products. Great spice selection. We were able to find the less common ingredients needed for recipes. The fresh pita bread is wonderful. The store does have a small meat and specialty produce section. The store shares a parking lot with a bakery and three restaurants.

Off late when I buy meat (goat or lamb) more than actual meat, they stuff it with bones. I have been noticing this for last few months, I decided to weigh the difference to my surprise 2/3 of it was bones, rather buy soup bones than meat itself.

I loved this place till I drove 1 1/2 hours to get just one thing mainly would had taken me 2 seconds to go get it and out but they closed at 8 pm

First time there I Really enjoyed looking at all the different spices that they had going back soon

I was recommended this place by an Uber fare who shared some of his naan with me. Im so happy that I found the store because I am a chef and have been really wanting to work on my Mediterranean and Indian cooking this place has all of the supplies you need to get started in that area.

This is one of my favorite places to buy groceries. The selection and price of spices and food from the Middle East and Indian subcontinent are wonderful. The fresh made pita and lavash are excellent, I always buy extra to freeze and have on hand between visits. The produce selection has all the basics and more exotic items, all well stocked, fresh and again, great prices. Extensive selection of Middle East staples, including teas, grains and beans, olives, jams, chutneys, nuts, sweets, etc. considerable selection of frozen prepared foods as well.

First visit, we felt there was good value for the $. Sat in the non smoking section, was clean, comfortable and waitstaff was attentive. We will be back.

Freezer is jam packed and some things are not frozen soft. Good selection of ground lamb and goat.

Cheap prices, good selection! Ali Baba has a great selection of produce and dried goods. There is also a small frozen/refrigerated section. Since this store is popular, some items run out quickly, such as fresh herbs. Personally, I dont buy raw meat here, so I can not comment on it.

I cannot judge imported items since I never saw them before. I really wish I lived closer so I could get all my food shopping done here.

Ali Baba is one of my favorite markets. They have a large selection of Middle Easter and Mediterranean foods and ingredients at good prices. This was the first halal butchery in San Antonio and the bakery produces some very nice variety of flat breads. Expect to find many dried goods, spices, canned goods, a freezer section, fresh meat, dairy and produce, baked goods, personal hygiene products, housewares and hookah supplies. The store is kept very clean. Employees are kind and helpful, always. The location is easy to get to, right off Wurzbach, and we have always been able to find parking.

Awesome store with awesome, fresh bread. Their saffron is over-priced, though. It’s better to get saffron sent over from Ba’hrain. Otherwise, awesome store.

The best international foods store in San Antonio. I’m amazed by the variety each time I visit.On the weekends they have freshly baked bread from their bakery. I would definitely recommend trying some.The staff will go out of their way to make sure you find what you are looking for.

Ive been visiting the store ever since they were a small little store on Wurzbach. They always stock their store with new products and the store is clean. Thats probably what brings people back to the store. Over the years, they have grown in size and now its almost like a mini supermarket. All products are arranged very well. They are helpful and willing to show you where things are. I dont live in San Antonio anymore but anytime I pass through the city, I occasionally do stop by to pick up some essentials.

We absolutely love the store! Any kind of spice that we might need is there, along with things I didnt realize I wanted. My interactions with the staff have always been positive. It is worth the trip across town to get some of the items we need for our kitchen.

So many varieties are available & rates are okay but the staff specially the Manager is worst, so much proudly personality, if we found any other good option in our town We never visit them again so surely.

A great place to buy Mid-eastern foods, and they have a Kosher meat market. We like to buy dates, and they have bulk nuts and dried fruits. Very clean.

Visiting San Antonio. I asked for an Mediterranean food market and the people at Jetsulamen Grill recommended this one. I am glad. Very clean, well stocked and fair prices. I found al spices and more. I am so glad. The only drawback is that I live too far away to come back anytime soon ( like a few states far)..

I love going here to find fresh bread, as well as spices for my Indian cooking. I never have to wait a long time in line the cashiers are quick.

I havent been here in several years & it was still as well stocked as ever. I wandered down the isles just to look at their products before finally asking for the particular item that I was seeking. Im planning to go back again soon just to explore every corner.... :-)

Ali Baba International Food Market, is the market that has become my go to for products from the Middle East and India, and other countries near the Middle East, todays visit was for more coffee, tea and Ali Babas Nah bread.

A very large space with various food and home stuffs.

I attempted to shop there on Friday at 8 PM right after dinner. They told me that store is closed. This is an international grocery market, I can’t believe it would close at 8 pm on Friday evening. So I left.

I was looking for two specific products, but upon walking through the isles I was sidetracked by the vast selection of things available at this store. Ill definitely be coming back to try new flavors and products. The staff was pleasant & helpful, too.
