I have never had a problem in the past getting my vehicle serviced at your dealership. I sent my son to get my oil change and they did not honor the 39.95 deal for the oil change instead charged full price. I have always received this deal with out mentioning anything or ask to present a coupon. So expected the same service as the last time. I called back up had to call 4 times before someone answered. I ask the lady on the phone if there is anything she can do to help with this a credit or reversal of charge. She stated there is nothing she can do that he should have brought the coupon and it’s not there fault that he didn’t know. I work in the service industry and understand things happen but there are no options you can offer me just say it’s your fault and I. And help you. No options offered just to bad it’s your fault. I would expect better service than this but it seems that is not the priority at this dealership.
I had an awesome experience with Joseph Alvarez this past week! He was patient and not pushy at all like other dealerships. My Chevy Tahoe was my dream truck and now I am the owner. I’d recommend this dealership to everyone I know and please ask for Joseph.
Took a 2017 Chev Colorado in for service on 10/25 and still havent received it back. First, they supposedly received a bad module and had to re-order another one. Keep in mind this is a fleet vehicle. Then yesterday we get a call from the fleet company that they need yet another part. Northside Chev doesnt pick up the phone to give me a courtesy call, to number one let us know of another charge coming for another part, let alone to let me know that I wont be getting the vehicle back at the end of the day as promised. My biggest complaint is that no one from the service department will ever call me to give me a status update. Im just left hanging. Im the one having to track someone down. Since Thursday 10/28 I have been promised that I would be getting the vehicle at the end of the day only to be provided with the answer, you should get it by the end of tomorrow. Mind you, once again, I am the one who is tracking someone down for an answer. At 4:40 this afternoon I called to check on the status. After being put on hold multiple times, still the same answer. Tomorrow you should get the vehicle. I then asked to speak to a manager, to be told that management leaves at 4:30. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! The shop is open till 7pm supposedly and yet management leaves at 4:40. Right there is the problem. HORRIBLE SERVICE EXPERIENCE.....
I made my appointment online on Sunday for Monday morning. I arrived about 30 minutes before the appointment time (I thought early morning traffic would be worse than it was). The greeter Monday morning was very friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. The service coordinator (I think her name was Jessica or Jennifer) was also extremely friendly and helpful. We were in and out in about 15 minutes with an expected call in 3 to 4 hours. We were called in about 3 hours and the car was ready! Great experience and we will visit again.
After a very busy and tiring schedule, it almost felt that shopping around for a truck was going to take months. I chose Northside Chevy as my first and only try, and it has been better than I expected. Mr. Jonathan Hamilton has been very professional and makes me re-evaluate my personal customer service skills. I recommend him to anyone that wants to to trust sincere honesty. Service team very responsive and focused as well. Great experience overall.
My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting a young man named Joseph Alvarez on Saturday he was not only pleasant but was very patient he showed us a variety of vehicles and made sure we were absolutely satisfied with what we left with an overall great experience! I highly recommend anyone buying a vehicle from this dealership to ask for him hes awesome.
I love my car and the experience made it even better. If you want a quality car with a top notch buying experience, look no further. They have an amazing team from the salespeople to the finance people. I was taken care of extremely well, and after using my car for a few weeks I can confidently say I am beyond satisfied with my purchase.5 star experience from the very beginning.HIGHLY RECOMMEND
We had Lonnie as our sales representative. He was outstanding! Lonnie was very professional and had great customer service! His kindness and positive attitude makes us want to come back and buy another vehicle! Plus, he also had a great sense of humor! 😀
It was a pleasant experience. The salesman assisting me was Pablo . He was very friendly and knowledgeable of the business. I was a little disappointed that the dealership did not honor the family or veteran discount, but think I did get the veteran discount. They did have an explanation. There was not much room for lowering the price of the vehicle. Other wise I was satisfied. It really was a good experience and I kind of felt at home there. Pablo was very helpful.
My car buying experience unfortunately was not the best. When I asked the salesman what sets Northside Chevrolet apart from other dealerships, I was surprised that he didn’t have an answer. He couldn’t find any benefit worth mentioning and simply answered “you can choose wherever you want to buy your car from” I went in there with a list of cars I saw on the online inventory and he was only able to locate one of them. I didn’t take the vehicle the same day, they said I should pick it up the next day so they could detail it. I went the next day to pick up the vehicle only to see the vehicle was in the same condition as it was the day before, crusty food from the previous owners on the center console. Not a problem, I can clean the inside myself. However, I noticed later that day that the antenna was broken and just hanging by a wire. I also noticed that the sunlight sensor on the dash was now missing. I took it back and talked to the sales manager who said he would have the car detailed and get a new antenna on but some cars don’t come with the sunlight sensor so that’s why there is a hole in the dash for where it would go. A few weeks later when the antenna was hanging again I got up to see what was wrong with it now. They didn’t get a new antenna but instead used a putty to try to secure it. That wasn’t very effective and now the antenna flew off somewhere on the highway. A couple weeks later and now the service engine light is on. Apparently I have to wait to hear back from the service department now since they are extremely busy to be able to take my car in for service (luckily we purchased the warranty they offered). I’m hoping now that my experience with the service team will be better than my experience with the sales team. I felt with many different dealerships over the past 15 years and this has definitely been the worst car buying experience.
I was there to get my 2019 Chevy Truck worked on for transmission work. I had Jessica as my service rep. She was awesome. She made sure that I was informed and was able to get my truck serviced right away. My truck was able to be checked out in two days. Another Chevy dealer told me it would take months to get service. I came back to where I got my truck and they took care of me. Thanks Jessica.
At the entrance, I was immediately greeted by the receptionist and asked if I needed assistance. I asked for Joseph. Joseph was excellent and extremely serviceable. He showed me great options and ultimately got me into the vehicle I wanted. Financing was fast despite my credit issues. My overall experience was awesome. This is our second purchase within the month at this dealership with this salesman. Great service guys!
Well first of all my name is not Robinson it’s Stephen, hints the email address,I received an email stating that I had my vehicle serviced at your dealership on 8/24/21 and you would like feedback on the recent visitI don’t know what this is about. I use to own a Chevrolet Colorado about a year ago but I don’t anymore and I haven’t even been to any dealerships. Did somebody use my information???
When my husband and I walked in, we told the lady we where looking to buy a Blazer. She was kind and said she would call someone to show us around. she did and we where close by and a elderly woman came up and looked at us and said she didnt want to take us around. By the way she looked at us and we can tell she was judging us.. Me and my husband got upset and I told lets just go outside and look around. and thats when Hector Calderon showed up and we didnt get our Blazer but we did by a brand new car. Hector was so kind and listened to us and answered every question we had. I will tell family and friends about Hector Calderon and to go to him. You have a very outstanding employee and I can tell you I will be back when I need another car. I give Hector Calderon 10 Star. But that other lady made me feel really bad.. If it wasnt for Hector I really think we would of left without a car. Thank you Grace Cowey
I made an appointment for 10am, arrived around 9:30am. They recommend a service the car needed. I asked if that would make the wait longer and I was told no.I was waiting for the car. Thought it would be a couple of hours. At 2:30 pm I was still there waiting. FIVE HOURS I was sitting there waiting. That is CRAZY.I will never bring my car there again or buy a car from Northside Chevrolet.
I Can’t get ahold of parts department retail area. Tried calling 4 times was transferred from commercial parts to retail parts line and didn’t get an answer. This is very irritating. It’s the closest area Chevy dealer to my location. Now I’m going to have to travel further out of my way to another Chevy dealer. Very Disappointed with the service here.
The website let me schedule an appointment for oil change and sign up for a loaner vehicle. When I arrived for my appointment I was told the price was higher than advertised online and the wait was 2 hours. No loaner vehicles were available so I waited in the designated waiting area. About 3 and a half hours later I get a phone call about my vehicle and was asked to see the representative at the front desk. It would’ve been nice for someone to come talk to me instead of getting a phone call. The representative didn’t know what I was talking about, after figuring it out I was asked to wait about another 45 minutes (I’m not sure what for) then I was able to leave. This was my first oil change since buying the vehicle and was not charged, but literally every step other than setting up the appointment online and not paying was a nightmare. No loaner, longer than projected wait, higher price, being called when I’m sitting right there in the designated waiting area…why would I come back? I appreciate the hard work the employees are doing which is why I didn’t say anything in person or question why things were the way they were. Seems like this is a company thing, not an employee thing. With that being said, I will not be back.
The staff is awesome and caring willing to help you so much. My salesperson was lonnie excellent the best i would highly recommend lonnie or J.D. and best finance person thanks jerry we bought 3 vehicles within 2 weeks
My service advisor Jessica was very helpful and professional. She kept me informed of each step of my maintenance and additional requirements. The service was completed quickly and satisfactorily.
Gracie was fantastic. While you were busy on the Thursday we showed up with a 12:00 Noon appointment, Gracie came forward and took care of us. She wrote up what I wanted done and suggested a front-end alignment and told me about the safety inspections. I wanted the tire rotated so she added that to the work order. She then wanted to know if we were going to need transportation. We were perfectly content to wait at the dealership, you have such a nice waiting area, but after checking on how long it would take for our vehicle to be serviced, Gracie said she would get a driver to take us home. We were very thankful for that. The driver was great and he came to pick me up around 3:50 pm. Back at the dealership, Gracie had our Tahoe ready to go. Everything was done and now we can go on our trip with peace of mind. Thats why I come to Northside Chevrolet for all my vehicle services.Thank you all and especially Gracie!
Well, sometimes you have to rate the places we frequent, and this one is no exception. It is the third time I visit this establishment since I bought my car, the first time was exceptional, the second time they convinced me to align the car because supposedly a system at the entrance detected misalignment, for me the car was working perfectly, after that visit the steering wheel was crooked and I felt it pulled to the side, I still feel it. This last time they did not offer me the alignment, good and bad because I was going to complain about the service before, now I asked for the same service and, really who knows what they do, but when I got home I decide to check the tire rotation and, guys I know my car, they adjusted the air pressure but the tires are in the same position but they did include it on the bill. To pay for a service that is cheaper for me to buy the best oil and filter, for that I do it on my own as I do with all the vehicles I have owned.
Everything went real smooth the person that help me, her name was Jessica She did an awesome job.she told me it would take about 2 hours and I think I was out of there, in an hour. Excellent customer service thank you so much.
We really appreciate Lonnies help. We are in the Rio Grande Valley and he was on the phone assisting and always available when he had questions about the vehicle we wanted. Thanks Lonnie!
Ask for Hector, he is the best! He makes the process really smooth. He goes above and beyond for his customers. He was very thorough and knowledgeable about all of the vehicles and about the brand itself. I recommended everyone in my family to go see Hector! He sold my two nephews new Silverado’s.
I made an appointment for today at 1pm for an oil change. I drove 30 minutes to get here just to be turned away because they was not taking anymore oil changes. What was the point of the appointment then!? Would have been nice to receive a call before hand or something.
Ive only been in Texas for about two months moving down here from Michigan. My credit wasnt the best and I dont know anyone to be able to co sign I first came in and talked to Sam a few weeks prior to get my rust bucket Michigan truck appraised and he followed up with me and I came in last night and Sam was busy so he introduced me to Sergio who went above and beyond and even got me approved without a cosigner. Everyone is so helpful if you need to buy a car see Sergio or Sam!!
First let me say that the Service staff here are great ! Definitely 5 stars for them. I brought in my vehicle on Thursday to have a recalled part replaced and they had it installed within a day and even gave me a loaner to use. Amazing staff and communication ! My car is a 2007 and since I was there, I advised one of the service advisors Griselda (so nice!) that I was considering upgrading my vehicle and did she recommend anyone from the sales department side. She said JD is great to work with so I made an appointment with him for today, Saturday. I was especially interested in a Ford Explorer that I had seen online. I was advised (by Jack) on Thursday that it was at Northside Ford but they would have it transferred to this location so that I could test drive it when I met with JD today. When I get to the dealership I was met by JD and I let him know I was there to test drive the Explorer but I was also open to other options. I also advised him I had already secured financing with Capital One and also had a trade in and cash down. Basically if I liked that Explorer, I would be driving it off the lot today. He said he would be right back and when he returned, he had another gentleman with him. He told him that I was there to test drive the Explorer and advised me that this other gentleman would be assisting me. This other gentleman said he would be right back and was going to go pull the Explorer around for me to test drive. I waited, and waited and after almost an hour of no one coming to tell me anything and neither of them to be found, I let the receptionist know I would be leaving. I felt like I was pushed off by JD to this other gentlemen and then they both basically ghosted me. I seriously don’t get it ?!? If he lied and it was still at Northside Ford, it should not take an hour to retrieve it. When I left, I had to pass Northside Ford and it took me less than 5 minutes to get there. Honestly had him or anyone said they needed to retrieve it from there and that it would probably be a bit, I really wouldn’t have minded. But to be told nothing, lied to and ignored is inexcusable. I’ll go elsewhere to find my new vehicle.
No issues so far on my vehicle after being serviced at your dealership so top notch rating on this piece. I do however have a suggestion for improvement. Please communicate to your customers on the status of their vehicles. Especially if the vehicle is to sit overnight for several nights. Nothing is more important to us the consumers than a call/text/email regarding our vehicles that we leave in your hands overnight for service.. That is all. Thank you for the repair!!
Mrs.Fabiola was very nice attractive and very helpful still stays in touch and I love that professionalism. God bless you gals and guys at Northside Chevrolet I highly recommend the Chevrolet Equinox or the Chevrolet Trax great for single people and big families the Chevrolet Traverse and Suburban for bigger families.
I recently purchased a new vehicle at Northside Chevrolet and definitely recommend this dealership. The place was spotless and I was impressed with the huge inventory they had. I had checked multiple dealerships and Northside had the most choices which is great when buying a new car, makes it so much easier. I was very pleased with Ed Burgess, the sales manager, who made our experience with their dealership a great one. He was very helpful in taking care of our needs and for that we are extremely grateful. William Juarez, the finance manager, was also very helpful in taking care of our needs and answering all our questions. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking to buy a new car!
I admired Emilios will to help and truthfulness throughout the purchasing process thank you and plan I shopping there for all my Chevrolet needs.
Everybody in the service department was awesome. They were friendly, kept me up to date on the progress of my car, and seemed to go out of the way to provide excellent service.
Jessica Erwin was very attentive to my questions and needs for maintenance services provided. She was very thorough and professional in handling my request for services.
Got my first free oil change. Which more then one should be free consider you buy an 80k vehicle. Dropped it off. Asked for a car wash when it was done. Guy said it would be an extra half hour. Said no problem. Called me for pick up. No car wash. Advisor wasn’t there. Car was not disinfected. I am on chemotherapy and cannot handleGerms. Yesterday was my chemotherapy day. I had to take my car to be washed, cleaned and disinfected after the service. Will not be taking my vehicle back there again. Terrible service for an 80k purchase from GM
I called, and made an appointment. I was met by a Service Rep and we set up what I needed, including a front end alignment which I thought I needed but wasnt sure. I sat and read in your lounge and enjoyed the free coffee and waited for my vehicle. The Service Rep occasionally came out and kept me informed of my cars status. When all was done I came out to a clean car with all the work done professionally. I appreciate your fine service !
Courteous, professional and friendly! I love going to Northside Chevrolet, this is our 2nd vehicle serviced here, will definitely keep going back! 😊
Emilio was professional and provided great customer service! We drove 250 miles from Edinburg to find our brand new cars waiting out front washed and ready to go!!Definitely worth our trip to Northside Chevrolet where there was plenty of inventory! Thank you!
Our salesman was Sergio M, and he was phenomenal. Well respected, wasnt pushy at all. Got me exactly what I needed/was looking for. I visited other dealerships around the city and Sergio and the people at Northside Chevy exceeded any expectations I had. Everyone needs to go check them out.
Took my vehicle in for an oil change, tire rotation and complimentary car wash.I specifically asked for the car wash as I had just returned from a long trip out of state and wanted to get the road grime and bugs of my truck.Sad to say I only got the oil change and tire rotation. No car was as I had specifically requested/inquired about. This however, will not deter me from coming back for any/all my vehicle maintenance.
I dont usually go to car dealerships when looking for a vehicle because i feel pressured. When i got there the receptionist came out to me and was very friendly. She sent me to Joseph and reggie who were great! They are very customer service friendly and made me feel comfortable, not pressured. Both salesmen were able to get me the truck i wanted. Thank you Chevrolet for making me feel welcomed and letting me get the truck i wanted! Me and my fiancé will definitely recommend yal!
My salesman Emilio Gonzalez was highly recommended to me from a friend that has bought a few vehicles from Northside Chevrolet, I made an appointment and Emilio did not disappoint. Great service
Initially, I came with my father just to scope out a suitable car to take to college. Luckily, we got set up with Joseph who is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and above all else a former tennis player. On our first visit, he gave us smart and affordable options for our needs and offered to let us test drive to our heart’s content but ultimately the cars we saw couldn’t keep me away from a Camaro. On our second visit, he let us check out a limited edition Hot Wheels Camaro they had just gotten into the shop and we fell in love! Ended up snagging it as soon as it got on the lot and could not be happier driving around with my matching Camaro hat gifted to me by Joseph. Joseph really takes care of his clients and goes above and beyond to make the whole experience fun and easy, as it should be! I highly recommend asking for him
I bought a Bolt EV from Northside in July. If I had to describe Northside Chevy in one word, it would be mediocre. For some perspective, I had disappointing experiences at every Chevy dealer I went to, so maybe it’s just a Chevy thing. Still, if you need a Chevy, I think you could do better than Northside. I’ll hit you with the lowlights; the first being a pattern of broken promises. I was initially guaranteed a price match, only to have that price yanked out from under me a few minutes later. When purchasing the car I noticed a cracked taillight and worked out a time to get it fixed. I drove 1 ½ hours to get there at the agreed time only to be told they didn’t have enough time to do it that day. When trying to reach someone about the recent recall on my car I was promised three days in a row that someone would get back to me. After finally speaking to the GM, who told me he couldn’t help and I’d be better off talking to Chevy, I asked him to just send me a follow up email as a courtesy. Nothing. (Also, I later learned from Chevy that dealers are being reimbursed for recall loaner cars, but Northside did not offer that to me.)The rest of the issues can be chalked up to carelessness/negligence. When I took delivery of the car it did not have enough charge to get me home, even though they kept it an extra day to apply the non-negotiable tint and paint coating. They also forgot to register my purchase with GM. Initially I was just annoyed that I didn’t get the reward points, but when that caused me to not get the recall notice from GM about my car potentially bursting into flames, it became a much bigger oversight.I am not trying to be vindictive. Im just trying to give an honest account of my frustration and disappointment. And so I’ll end on a positive note: they got me my license plates quickly, efficiently, and without me having to follow up once.
Very professional, Emilio was very kind and attentive always solved our questions or requirements. Excellent Customer Services, all the time Emilio Gonzalez take my calls and give me the answers in promptly way and very good customer services, definitely I recommend this dealer to make your transactions when you need some Chevy Vehicle.
I had an awesome salesman! His name was Lonnie Roberson and he made sure I was completely comfortable at every point in the sales process. He was a salesman, but as I spoke with him, I personally perceived him as an advisor who moved mountains for me. He ensured that payments were doable, trying his best to help me with the most affordable pricing while getting the most out of my vehicle. He explained everything to me in great detail and explained a lot of the pros and cons to make sure I was 100% ready to move forward. As a first-time buyer, I was glad I purchased my vehicle from him as his complete focus was on me and the terms that I was requesting. I would definitely recommend him to friends and family who were looking to buy a new vehicle while speaking to someone who doesnt just care about making a sale. Lonnie valued my overall satisfaction with the vehicle and contract over his commission. Mr. Roberson was much more than a salesman.
Fabiola was a very sweet young attractive lady who was very helpful in explaining to me what I needed to do to get my car without a Co signer highly recommend if your on a budget but make more than $1000 a month great cars, and SUVs highly recommend the 2021 Equinox and 2021 Trax drives like a dream oh boy cant wait to purchase one from them.
Everyone was very nice and help me get everything done and was really fast on helping me with my needs Katrina was a big help
Sergio was great! He helped me find the exact truck I was looking for & worked with me on the deal.
Great dealership would recommend coming here if you are looking for a good deal on a car
This place gave me the run around when I was looking to buy a pre owned Ford Raptor. The communication between the manager and salesperson is bad to say the least. When I went in supposedly because they had a “deal” for me, the manager did not know what I was talking about. When I spoke to the manager, he had a condescending tone. This place obviously didn’t want to do business with me so I bought a vehicle from Mac Haik on the southside.
Just purchased a 2021 Chevrolet Traverse and Northside Chevrolet and I must say that we got great service. Our salesperson John was very professional and showed us different vehicles even during a storm and never hesitated to demonstrate the different features on each vehicle to help us choose “the one”. We can’t thank general manager Mr. Burgess enough for being so helpful and there to answer all our questions. Excellent service overall!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I made an appointment for 7:00 AM (the earliest you can make an appointment), and arrived at 6:45. There were already 7 cars parked in front of me, and they got to go in before me. It was 7:20 by the time I finally got to hand my keys to somebody, which is when I was informed that appointments are a moot point and cars are always taken first come first serve. All I needed was my 12K mile checkup (oil change, tire rotation, etc.), and i didnt leave there until 9:45. 3 hours just for an oil change and tire rotation; insane. This happened the first time I came to this dealership as well (6k mile tune up).
I had a great experience. The sale representative went above and beyond to get me the suv I wanted. He took the time to show me what everything was in the car and help me set up the wifi and onstar. I will definitely buy another car from this dealership
My husband went to Northside Chevy and would give no stars if it was not for the salesman JD Hamzah working for 2 days to get a deal done. Most pathetic deal closing I have ever seen in a completely lazy manager sitting behind a desk. Left the dealership, drove straight to North Park Chevy and was out, financed and home with a new truck 4 hours later. Not to mention, a friend followed us there and bought a new Chevy Traverse as well. JD needs to take his managers job!!!
I went in this dealership to find a used car that I could pay cash for. I found something agreed on a price with the salesman and left a $5000 deposit down on the car, as it would need an oil change and detail before I could take it home the next day. When I arrive the next day they make up a story about the car having a leak and they were unable to sell it to me because of this leak. Then tried to offer me another downgraded car. I declined got my refund back but looked online the next day to see that the car I was told I couldn’t buy because it had a leak was still available for purchase. I was rudely dismissed by Roger who I believe racially profiled me for being an African American and having such a large amount of cash to buy a car. Buyers beware!
Purchased my new 2021Truck and most satisfied 110% all around. I was able to meet the NEW GENERAL MANAGER Ed Burgess as he was patronizing visitors in the Lobby. Most genuine person who deeply wants to satisfy all that visit the dealership. Professional, caring, personable, and the need to satisfy all customers. Called me the next day to see if I was satisfied with my purchase and followed up with an email two days later. He promptly introduced me to Carl Campbell who listened to what I wanted and he brilliantly found the ideal vehicle that fit exactly what I wanted. No trying to sell me any vehicle on the lot. He was most knowledgeable with inventory and took the time to find exactly what I wanted for the best price I could find . No pressure sales, courteous, pleasing, and a need to satisfy all his customers. I highly recommend Northside Chevrolet for the easiest experience for purchase of a new or used vehicle.Job well done!!Joseph Watson
If you are inexperienced or new to owning a vehicle I would seek out vehicle services else where.I bought my first vehicle from this dealership in Oct2020. I came in today for my complimentary free 1st oil change, tire rotation, and a special addition of installing a black bow tie I bought from the online Chevrolet accessory site.I went in thinking it would be quick, easy, and fairly priced. Four and a half hours later and $200 later that was not the case. They charged me $150 to install the bow tie for one hour of labor. This significant increase in the overall pricing was not mentioned until after the fact. They also charged $20 to dispose of the old oil. I am confident that I never paid that much or at all for my oil to be disposed of on my old vehicle, 2012 Chevy Cruze.I will be honest I am new to owning a new vehicle and working with dealerships. That is why I stress if you expect honesty, being educated throughout the process of things, or courtesy of a phone call for a change in pricing DO NOT expect that from this dealership.I get this feeling that they prey on the inexperienced. So please if you do plan on going do your research, take a buddy familiar with dealership work, and ask about everything.
I had a shorter than expected wait time at the dealer for my service. My service rep was helpful.
I bought a new car, had 5000 miles in it.. the car was not cleaned properly. Spray marks, dirty upholstery and animal hair ! I brought it back for another clean, car still had blemishes on roof upholstery and fur! I never received the manufacture floor mats either. I just don’t feel like it’s a new car! Very disappointing.. I also purchased oil changes. I was not told I can only redeem oil changes at that location. It’s out of the way. I am closer to Ancira on Bandera. On top of that.. spent 2 hours waiting for an oil change! Got there a little before 8. Waited till 10. I saw my car parked. I had to go ask the service guy about where my car was! Way too long to wait for an oil change! I will not recommend anyone to buy a car here
I am timid to always make a long term commitment with vehicles. The guys, like Reggie, understood my hesitance and showed me more trucks in my price range and what I wanted. In the end we made a deal work for me. Thanks for taking the time to work with me!
Waited for 30mins just to get hung up on. Then the sales women I spoke to told me I’d just have to “wait” again. What is with these dealerships and their trash service departments. Might as well go to MIDAS or FIRESTONE. 0/5 stars. Hire more people or get a better system.
Sergio our sales man was awesome. He walked us through the whole process and stayed after closing to make sure I understood all the safety features and operating the car
I’ve been trying to get my first service appointment for my truck which I bought at this dealership for three months. Finally, I just drove in today and was told it would take 3 hours. Asked to talk to the service manager and he would not even come out of his little office 15 feet away. The management staff at this dealership really needs some customers service training or be replaced with someone who understands and can apply customer service culture.
The recall work took longer than promised. After 5 1/2 hours of waiting on a 3 hour (promised) work, I waited in the customer waiting room for an extra 1 hour. The service technician took 45 minutes after the vehicle was ready to take the paperwork to the cashier. My vehicle was ready and parked outside waiting on the service technician to finish the paperwork and bring it to the cashier. I told my service person, and she did absolutely nothing about it. I asked if she would call him and she never did. That is bad service in my opinion.
I had a positive experience purchasing my new Equinox at Northside Chevrolet. Cesar Soto was the Sales Advisor that worked with me and he did an awesome job! He and the rest of the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. They made the whole purchasing experience a very smooth process. I will recommend Cesar Soto and Northside Cheverolet to all my family and friends.
UPDATE: I am going to leave the original review below to let you know that all of this took place. I did end up getting the car that is mentioned below but only after the GM of the dealership called me and worked out a deal for all the trouble. I am updating this to three stars because of the salesman. Joseph Alvarez was his name and he was the real reason why the deal went down finally. He notified the GM of the dealership to let him know how I was treated by Josephs manager. Without him this never would have gotten done. I still would not recommend using this dealership. These days it is too easy to find another place where you dont have to deal with the classic car salesman tactics but if you do find yourself here for some reason, ask for Joseph.ORIGINAL REVIEWIf I could give 0 stars I would. I was trying to buy a new Chevy Spark as a graduation present for my daughter. We finally agreed on a price that included a 500 dollar veteran discount. The salesman asked if I was a veteran and I told him I was. He asked if I was retired and I said no. I told them upfront that I was not retired and not active duty. I was a veteran of 4+ years of service. They told me no problem. We agreed on a price and everything was looking good. They ran my credit and we were preparing the financing info when the salesman came to me and told me the discount was only for retired veterans or active duty and they had to take the discount away. This took me outside of my price range and they said there was no room to budge. This was terrible customer service and so disappointing. Now understand, if they would have told me the discount was not available for a non-retired veteran there would have been no issue at all. But after I gave them factual information about my service and being told they could give me the discount they then came back and told me they couldnt offer me the discount this was a huge problem. Then they told me there was nothing more that they could do on the price of the car, this was the last straw. I walked out with no car.To me this entire event just seemed like the same old shady used car dealer tactics. Also terrible treatment of a veteran. I will not do business with them again and I would caution you to do the same. There are plenty of dealerships who are willing to treat you fairly and honestly. Go find one of those. Steer clear of these guys.
First, I visited another chevrolet dealership that I didnt have a good experience with. Following that visit, I decided to go over to Northside Chevrolet to see how they would treat me there. From the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out with the papers and keys, I felt comfortable and I didnt feel rushed or cheated. From the sales associate to the finance manager, were just amazing. I never felt rushed to buy anything, didnt feel like I was being taken advantage of, and they never made me feel like they werent taking me seriously due to me being a younger customer. Overall, excellent experience and Im will to stay a long time valued customer here.
This was my third time at the service department for this dealership. I had been in previously for an oil change and diagnostics. I went in for an oil change, which I had made an appointment for. I arrived early and my overall wait time was roughly 2 hours from first arrival. Im not sure if making an appointment helped with prompt service. However, my wait time was about on par if not quicker than most other dealerships wait time for an oil change. The waiting area was well equipped with complimentary snack and beverages. Overall my experiences with this service department have far exceeded my expectations, which have made me a loyal and reoccurring customer despite the distance from my home.
I recently traded in my Tahoe for a new to me vehicle at Northside Chevy. I came in to see a vehicle that I did not like or buy, but Joseph Alvarez listened to my needs and found the perfect vehicle for me! If youre in need of a vehicle and like me only purchase new to you vehicles, Joseph needs to be your guy!! He is so helpful, caring and overall a great salesman. #helpful #usedcars #northsidechevy #josephalvarez
My vehicle was repaired expediently under the Power Train Warranty. You sent a shuttle to pick me up. I was extremely satisfied 🙂
Excellent customer service provided by Garrett. Fully explained what was completed and recommendations for the future.
It was overall the best. My sale associate was so nice and kind to my family and I. Shaq was the best
I came in today with my wife and kids to purchase a Chevy sonic that was on sale. Everyone was nice. The sales person confirmed the price with me and I said ok I’d like to pay in cash. He then said oh well have you heard of our protection package? He said it was required and not optional on all their vehicles and was $2,500 in addition to the price of the vehicle. I said no I can’t do that I would just like to write you a check for the vehicle only and head on my way and they declined. He offered to cut the cost in half but that was all they could do. He said sorry but they couldn’t sell me the car unless I also purchased the protection package. No big deal. Things don’t always work out. Nothing wrong with that. The right deal for us will come along.
Mr. Emilio did a great good job helping us buying a new car, thanks
First of all their prices are too high and they recommend services that arent needed. When we declined an unnecessary service they performed it anyway and then had the nerve to charge us for it like we wouldnt notice. While they did remove the charge when disputed, who knows how many people have paid for services they didnt need or want.On top of all that nonsense, they did not tighten the oil filter cap and as a result the truck leaked oil and couldve potentially had very serious issues. Thankfully we caught the leak before major damage was done. Stay far away from Northside Chevrolet!!!
I recently moved back to Texas and had to find a new dealer for my beloved 2010 Tahoe Rocinante. I was a little overdue for 100K service, some maintenance I had been putting off before the move. Worked with Garrett Johnson who was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and an overall great guy. Ended up not only doing the normal stuff I would only trust a dealer to do but more or less everything else I had on my list to get done including the tires as they matched the discount tire price on the spot. Honestly their price was only about $60 above the original discount tire price to start with before they did the price matching. It was a great deal of work and Garrett kept it for close to a week. All the work done was absolute top notch. Have had 0 problems with anything they did. They even washed the old girl up for me before giving it back to me. All throughout I was kept up to date on the work being done, everyone I talked to at the dealership was extremely helpful and welcoming. I am beyond satisfied with the service I received from Garrett and Northside Chevrolet and will NOT take my Tahoe ANYWHERE other than there from now on unless its something Garrett cant do for me.
Kind of pricey, but you definitely get the quality service you pay for. Reliable and trustworthy.
BUYER BEWARE....Bad experience with this game playing dealership. Came in with my own financing. Also knew exactly what I wanted. Didn’t have the car when I got there I had asked about minutes before. But had another car that fit my needs. Then said it had a dealer warranty package installed on it that was 2500$ but had a window sticker with everything described that said it was 995$ For the warranty package... but car was still going to come out cheaper than other dealer. Then after waiting 45 minutes finance manager was trying to pressure me into financing with them at a higher rate said we can’t sell the car at this price if you don’t finance with us. I said the other dealer only wants 300$ more I’ll go there. went to my car and salesman ran out and said GM would do it for that price. So I went back in and waited an hour. Told them cancel everything I’m going to the other dealer and had no problem paying more because of the games they played. I went to other dealer and they had me out in under an hour. Should have been a very easy sale as all we had to do was agree on price and sign paperwork. Very fraudulent practices.... If I could leave zero stars I would. I’m also the type that you take care of the customer I’ll be a customer for life. Super sad I had to leave dealer twice. Really wanted to buy the car but they were to busy trying to find ways to screw me over than selling the car. Just figured if I had this much problem trying to give them money it would be even harder to get them to fix anything if I had a problem.
Ive never purchased a vehicle with such ease. My salesperson, Jonathan was super awesome, competent, and accomadating. From the front des staff, to my salesperson and all the way to the finance department, I give Northside 5 STARS!
We have brought in our truck twice for emissions and we just bought the truck around 3-4 weeks ago. This second time has taken longer and no one has called to give us a status and service person doesnt answer call. When phone is answered we get attitude as if we are bothering them just to get the status. It has been extremely stressful trying to get information. Why? This is not acceptable. It would be nice if service department can be as professional as sales department.
I set my appointment online for 7:00am, once I arrived and dealership opened, I was greeted and advised on what was to be done on my vehicle (Routine Oil Change and Tire Rotation). They offered me coffee and didnt have to wait long for my vehicle to be serviced. Overall experience was pleasant and fast.
I made an online appointment for 1pm. I arrived at 12:35 pm.At 4:05 I left the dealership. My appointment was for an oil change. Over 3 hours for an oil change with an appointment is ridiculous. I will never have service work done there again. Also the person that I had to deal with was rude as if she didnt care!
The only reason I stayed with this dealership was because the car was a really great deal, but what a hassle the process was. The original appointment was missed by the sales guy by 30 minutes, and he thought it was no big deal. GM tried to make that right by giving me a new guy. Appreciated that. Although he was a lot better, even he messed up the sales price while in finance several times.NOW, Im here getting my first oil change that is supposed to be free, but Im gonna have to pay today because they have me listed as purchasing the vehicle a year ago, and my first free oil change is expired 🙄 I purchased the vehicle 3 months ago. Service is working on that, but its way before 9, and no one is here in sales. Glad Im moving and dont have to deal with them anymore.
Thanks to @NorthsideChevy for an easy peesy used car buying experience tonight. Pablo is an asset to your company- pleasant, kind, detail-oriented and authentic. Ill search him out personally on any future car purchases. Thank you, Pablo! And William in finance, top notch!
Cesar Soto was extremely helpful and professional. The process was quick and the financial dude Ofelio gave an enjoyable experience. Usually hate dealing with the finance guy!
Overall the experience was great ! Alonso Garcia took care of us and took step by step to make sure we left wit the vehicle we wanted. Wasnt expecting to leave with a car but instead my wife left wit her dream car for her and our kids! Furthermore, the process was quick n easy! Totally recommend this place is awesome with the variety of vehicles and awesome salesmen and women.
Everything was great until after my truck came back up front and the service advisor had to wait for the paperwork. I dont know what that entails but having to wait over an hour for the paperwork is unacceptable. I get it everyone/ every department/ business has a bad day so Im putting this experience under a bad day. I hope this is not the normal but like I said everything went great, service advisor was great and I will be going back. I hope the long wait time to receive the paperwork gets resolved and have a great day everyone.
Horrible service department! 5 Days and still no assessment on what is wrong with my truck. (was told they wouldnt even try to determine what is wrong for 2-3 days!!) No contact with me... at all, and all calls go to voicemail in the service department (no call back, despite leaving multiple voicemails). Additionally, They have a 20+ person wait-list for loaner vehicles, even if for warranty work. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Truly an appalling place to take your vehicle.
I had the absolute pleasure of working with JD on my recent purchase. I can’t even begging to explain how well he took care of us. Made sure we met all our needs and never tried to push or sell us something we didn’t need.Best car buying experience my wife snd I have had.
After a disappointing original experience, I spoke with Dean Hardy and he corrected the situation as he mentioned in his comments. I worked with his son, John Hardy, and I was in and out quickly. Only reason not to give 5 stars is that I felt they undervalued the trade. I would do business with them again.Original Post. (Treat this place and the salesmen/women like your typical used car dealership. The only thing you can trust is the final piece of paper that goes to the bank. I went to purchase a Suburban after talking with a salesman. After looking at the vehicle I showed him pricing that Northside was offering online. After an an hour we verified the VIN and the salesman said the price was good several times. We went inside and he printed off the documents and then came back and said the price the Sales Manager would offer is $3k higher. I asked the salesman about the online price and he made up a lie about the online post being made up even though he had previously verified it.The dealership does good volume and probably has some decent prices. Not telling you not to shop here. Just know that it will be a long drawn out process and you need to watch out for yourself at every turn.)
Multiple times when I have pulled up to the dealer to get service, no one greets or guides me where to go for what i need. I have to go inside and ask one of the busy service advisors what I need. And then, I feel like theyre looking at me and talking to me like theyre doing me a favor. Im also in the automotive industry, my boyfriend is too, so I understand oil changes arent the preferred business for a dealership, but its not justified to not be taken seriously. Ive liked the work done on my car, which is why 3 stars, but service doesnt end there.
Sales rep JD was awesome! I loved the pace he works and gets down to business. He was attentive to my needs and helped me make a good buying decision. Even after the purchase he went out of his way to make sure I have what I need and took care of me. I think JD is a good sales person and although works 100 miles an hour.. that pace works for me.
Terrible service and what’s worse, it came from the top! I was shown the most unprofessional and horrible customer service by the manager Ed. I most certainty will not ever be doing business here ever!!!
It was a awesome, smooth and exciting experience. Hands down to JD for helping me out. He was nothing but nice and professional. I felt in the right hands and taken care of. I’m already recommending my friends and family from Laredo to go buy from northside dealership with JD.
The staff is great, they always take care of any issues I have with my vehicle. Also I was able to use my reward points for purchases!
The sales experience what was I expected. It was fair and pretty much ok with me. After the sale, I feel IGNORED. I reached out via email to my sales person 2 TIMES and have yet to receive a response. My truck had a TEXAS EDITION badge on the right hand side of the vehicle but it is absent on the left side. Also during the transaction, Jennifer had a copy of a WE OWE document of which I did not receive a copy of> I would certainly like to know what I was owed. I believe it had to do with the security features intended with the vehicle. I know you only have 30 days to schedule whatever needs to be done from the WE OWE form. I also reached out to Mr. Burris (general manager) via email and havent heard from him either. I would like these issues resolved. Thanks, Bill Fowler
Would never do business with these people. Dishonest, lies after lies, terrible service, had us waiting a whole day only to sell a vehicle to someone else lol.
Great people and great service. I was told my truck would be ready on a certain date and it was . Thank you
Mr. John tried to run my credit before offering to show me the car with my kids outside in the heat so I helped myself & walked over there he went back inside the building. the general manager was very helpful & the other employees was very helpful he wore glasses & Hispanic helped me get my nieces toy from under the car he needs a raise
I was very disappointed they will not be able to help me because they were asking too much for a payment on a use vehicle when even at that price it should’ve been a brand new vehicle and they see my history show and I could be able to pay the vehicle but they didn’t agree to what I asked for so they lost a sale and I still want to purchase a vehicle if they come down to the price even a little bit more since it was a used vehicle
