The only place to get bagels!! Im afraid to review because I wish I could have everything to myself! Best bagels in San Antonio by far and as good or better than New York. Then there is the Lox and the Cinnamon Rolls on the weekends. Coming here is my favorite day of the week. Its all I can do not to buy everything. They have bagel specials with homemade cream cheese and you can buy day old awesome killer bagels to get you through the week. The place is tiny but the staff is great. Bagels are crispy on the outside and soft and chewy in the inside but not too heavy, just right. They make breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches and Vienna hot dogs, any style!! The parking lot is huge because its in a plaza so easy in and out. I am so hooked!!!

Today was my first time ever at this establishment I ordered the star club the everything bagel and the French toast 10/10. I loved everything from the service to the food. I wanted to take pictures but everything was too good not to eat. Everything felt so light and usually when I finish a meal I feel full and heavy but not today I was full but the meal felt light and lovely.

Tried a sandwich from here and took it home to go. It was pretty good. Came with a large pickle and a choice of a side, I ended up going with potato salad. I’ll have to go back and try one of the bagels.

This place is outstanding. I got corned beef, pasta salad, and potato salad for us as well as two lox bagels. They have such a large variety of food & beverages and I enjoyed every bite. Definitely worth going back and so far is my favorite spot since I moved to San Antonio from Houston.Edit: I forgot to mention the hot dogs. Dont pass those up.

THE best bagels in San Antonio! Tons to choose from. They have whipped cream cheese in tubs to buy, and also sell Boars Head deli meats. We always stock up and also get a bag of Day Olds to freeze.

Love stopping at this place for a few bagels and coffee. Theres something special here opposed to the big chain names. The bagels are always soft and fresh. The cream cheese is awesome. No complaints. Will continue going here for all my bagel needs!

Its been a few years since Ive been to Chicago Bagel & Deli since I live on the other side of town now, but its great to see that they are still going strong. The quality of their bagels are top notch, the best Ive had in San Antonio by far, and everyone is always friendly and attentive when you walk in. For those from the Northeast that have tried Brueggers Bagels, Chigacos style is very similar; a crispy outer layer and soft beneath the surface & all the way through. Absolutely worth stopping by if youre in the area.

This is THE place to get bagels in San Antonio! Not from the area and was in the mood for a bagel. The owner was a total sweetheart and extremely welcoming. He helped me navigate through the entire menu, and we found just what I needed. Definitely get the lox bagel with the works! Mouth fireworks!!! Thank you so much gentlemen! I’ve been eating Chicago Bagel’s bagels for quite a few years and ordering a couple baker’s dozen and spreads is kind of my family’s jam now, when it comes to all holidays and occasions! My family and I have just about tried all of their bagels and spreads and there wasn’t one that wasn’t loved and a definite do over!I don’t eat meat or cheese but I know that everyone I know that’s tried the lox cream cheese think it’s out of this world and the best they ever had; It is definitely loaded with chunks of lox. The chive and veggie spreads are all favourites too and the home made soft pretzels are the best one can find. The staff are really super friendly and helpful and that plus the food makes this one, really special bakery with the best bagels in all of SA.

This is my second review of this place. Im baffled over how amazing this place is. A true locally owned paradise of northern style bagels. They make breakfast into magic. Me and the wife love yall. Drove 35 minutes on a Sunday morning to enjoy ya! Keep it up yall

As a former resident of Long Island NY, I have been on a quest to find good Pizza, Chinese food, and Bagels. At least one of those prayers has finally been answered by the awesome bagels at Chicago Bagel & Deli. These bagels are on par with some of the best NY bagels I have had. I am now hooked, and will become a regular patron, I only wish I lived a little closer.

Chicago Bagel is our favorite place for fresh bagels. Good wait staff. Prices are reasonable.

This place is awesome! I would make a recommendation but all of their bagels are delicious. Get there early before things sell out. Only thing to note, they are closed on Mondays AND Tuesdays.

What an amazing place. Bagels are baked on site and the variety of their menu from breakfast to lunch is unbelievable. I highly recommend their Bialy bagels. Dont forget their lunch menu. Egg salad sandwich or any deli sandwich you cant go wrong with take out or dine in. When I eat in my go to is the Chicago Dog. This is an on school deli and quite the gem.

Oh my goodness this bagel shop! I had lunch here and had the Ruben sandwich and it was so very good. As I sat there and ate people came in and out the bagels looked super delicious and smelled wonderful. The bearclaws and cinnamon rolls are as big as your hand. The owner and staff were wonderful. I have nothing negative to say about this place. AND they’re open on Sunday!

Best chewy, fresh, fragrant, soft yet dense, diverse bagels in town. Awesome sandwiches and standard bagel-based meals, swell employees. Ive yet to try their cinnamon rolls, but next time Im hungry enough to eat one about the size of my head, Ill head back over for one.

Great food but a little rude on service

This place is horrible ordered online whatever deliver company they work with did not deliver my order. Called Chicago bagel stated after order leave ther store its out of there hands so I was just SOL.

Authentic bagels and great spreads!

Unfortunately I had a bad experience for my first time here in San Antonio. I wish I could’ve gave it 5 stars but the turkey on my bagel was spoiled it tasted spoiled and smelled spoiled I could not eat it all. My husbands bagel was amazing he said but he didn’t get the turkey so I’m sure it was probably jus a bad batch of turkey.

I love their blueberry bagels and boy do they add cream cheese! Sooo good and great customer service!

Love this place, great bagels but apparently they make up their own hours as they wish. For the past week the sign changes the days off. It would be nice to know what hours/days they will be open so you dont find out by having to drive over there. I know nothing is normal right now but if I am willing to leave my house for bagels it would be nice know they are open.

Nice establishment that reminded me of a NY type of deli. Restaurant with a nice variety of bagels, breakfasts, sandwiches and beverages. Quick and efficient service. Staff/ customer service were courteous, pleasant, and helpful.Faculty itself would benefit from some updating. My food was delicious and enjoyable. I look forward to returning in the future.

The flavor and quality of these bagels are definitely worth it. If that doesnt convince you I chose to travel 16 miles in traffic jams just to go get them versus half a mile to my nearest grocery store for them. After a light toast and some cream cheese these things are second to none.

Place was packed on Sunday morning. Staff was busy. Bagel and egg sandwich amazing! Blueberry muffin with grape jelly was great too but not enough jelly at all so asked for more and they didn’t mind for asking. Coffee smelled so good. Food was made quick. Will defiantly come back to try that cinnamon roll.

Excellent little place! I was on my way to Chick Fil A when I saw this place and thought...I want to try a Chicago dog. Turns out, I love Chicago Dogs! It was my first time and it was delicious! The giant Cinnamon Roll was fresh and had plenty of icing in every bite. Your friendly staff made me feel right at home. I cant wait to visit again soon.

Great bagel place in San Antonio.They have a good variety of bagels and they also have delicious cream cheese flavors. Love the veggie flavored cream cheese with the Spicy Italian Tomato bagel. They also serve breakfast sandwiches which are delicious. They get very busy on the weekends, so know your order when you get there or you might feel rushed.

I get it every time unless theyve done out, so if you have a favorite get there early. Huge cinnamon rolls, freshly baked, just like everything else. I came for the breakfast bagel sandwiches and come back for everything else lol. Its a great place to go and enjoy good food.

Expensive for the product, and a dank dreary place. Last, a terrible coffee service with those ridiculous little peel creamers. Nothing like a good city bagelry at all.

Well I will be adding to the many great reviews already posted about Chicago Bagel and Deli. I am from NJ, born and raised, so Im familiar with great bagels and not so great bagels... These may be the best Ive had in a decade, including my trips back to NJ once a year. They are water boiled, which gives them a very tasty and crunchy experience. The strawberry cream cheese is also very good, and the 7 bagel deal with one cream cheese is def with $9. I will absolutely be returning as often as possible!

I love a bagel sandwich they make here: its the salmon, cream cheese and capers on sesame bagel. The bagel makes the difference and its great. BTW, also try their hot dogs.

WOW,WOW,WOW!!Authentic flavor just like the bay area. Wonderful, welcoming service. Totally blown away by the quality. Very refreshing to be treated with such care and kindness. I had the lox sandwich and it was very generously topped and the salmon tasted perfect with large capers. Hubby had the screaming chicken on french bread. Again, the bread was exceptional and very savory and generous portions. We have found our new after Sunday service endolgence. Highly recommend.

Yeah, this place rocks. Best lox bagel Ive ever had, and I couldnt get out of the parking lot without telling them (I inhaled the sandwich in the car)They offer a variety of cream cheeses, even seasonal stuff like Pumpkin. I will be back, I suggest you hit this place up before it becomes too popular for being so good

Delicious! We had a Reuben & Chicago Dog. Both were superb. Id suggest going early...they were already out of most bagels and their tea at noon on a Sunday. Would definitely recommend!

Great breakfast choice

Lived in New York for a year and really missed the bagels and cream cheese assortments my husband and I would binge eat on a Saturday. We are visiting SA from HTX and decided to pop by Chicago Bagel & Deli for a quick breakfast before hitting up Sea World. WOW. I had an everything bagel lox sandwich and it was On. Point. My husband had the blueberry bagel with strawberry cream and the maple French toast bagel (!!) with honey-raisin walnut cream cheese. This was a walk down nostalgia lane; I don’t mean to offend when I compare a Chicago bagel to a NY bagel, but dang. If I closed my eyes I wouldn’t have been able to tell if I was in New Rochelle, NY or San Antonio, TX. Brought our two friends with us who have never had bagels for breakfast outside of Einstein bagels—they both had Lox sandwiches and split a plain bagel with pumpkin cream cheese. They were super happy with the experience.This place is great. Come to Houston!!

Little place in a strip center, but the bagels are amazing. Tried a Jalapeno cheese with butter and a cinnamon raisin with honey raisin walnut cream cheese. So freaking good. Counter staff was very courteous and helpful.
