Honestly called about 10 shops and they all said no bring it in its sounds like major work... had 2 guys come out tell me it was my starter my alternator... everything in the book. Nope none of that. homie here figured it out in 2 min on a simple phone call! He definitely knows his stuff I will be calling him for my euro repairs and maintenance in the future.

Two weeks ago, I took my 2006 Jetta TDI to Raul after getting a outrageous quote from the dealer. Raul and his team did a thorough inspection for free and saved me a ton of money. He replaced my tie rods and control arms way cheaper than the dealer. Additionally, Raul noticed that my brakes were stiff which I have been living with since 2018. I explained what parts that has been replaced and that two dealers could not figure out the problem. He was able to narrow it down to a O ring that was missing between my brake master cylinder and brake booster. Man was he right! I cant believe he diagnosed the problem after a 40 min conversation which two dealers and my previous VW mechanic could not figure out.I was also having AC issues which the dealer quoted me over two thousand dollars on the repair and said that I needed a whole new compressor which I replaced in 2016. Raul looked at it and said no after he charged my AC and it was blowing cold air. He ensured me that the compressor is still good and there is a leak somewhere. He also put dye in the line so he can find the leak at a later date when the AC stops blowing cold air.I STRONGLY recommend use DASAUTOSHOP and STOP going to the dealer. This company is very honest, friendly and actually diagnoses the problem. I bought my 2006 TDI brand new and its a member of the Family. I am very picky on who I take my car to and I feel at ease knowing that I found DasAutoShop.

After calling around to lots of shops to install my downpipe on my golf R and getting install prices of $700-$1000, Das Auto was recommended to me. Das Auto was able to get mine installed same day for about 1/3 of some of my other quotes, and got it finished in just a few hours. They were awesome and I am definitely bringing my car back to them for any other work I have done in the future.Update: I have since brought my car back in 2 or 3 more times for other upgrades and have been incredibly impressed every time. Top Notch service! Had a special request regarding my AC Compressor, would not blow cold air unless I was moving. And even then it was touch and go. Dealer wont do it and another place I went to doesnt work with user purchased parts. Raul knew exactly what I was talking about after having done something similar to his VW and said he could do it same day in 2 hours. Natalie knocked out the job over a long lunch and I had a VERY cold AC up and running in no time! These are now my peeps for any big jobs I need done on my VW (and future VWs)!

Raul Rueda, whos serviced my 2003 VW for a decade (either directly or as Service Manager) from VW dealerships around town (Rod East, then North Park of Dominion, then VW of Alamo Heights), has opened his own shop.Ive followed him around town because hes a VW Geek, and because hes also just a Great Guy whos honest and precise. If Ive got several items in need of service, hell prioritize them, telling me what I need Now and what can be planned for later. I personally love that hell break down the mechanics behind my problem, showing me on my car and/or drawing me diagrams (I dont know if he always does this or just knows I dig it).Hes just getting started with his new venture, but Im going to him because I know what Im getting: decades of intimate knowledge of VWs and their quirks, first-hand knowledge of VWs corporate service system and how It works (hell send you to a dealer if its better for customer to go that route, like with a recall), and just all-around Excellent Service.If its not evident, I am a Huge Fan of Raul and his work...join my fan club! ;D
