I walked in to 4 Wheel Parts on Broadway after I bought a new truck with some questions about a lift. Joel Brown spent all the time I needed to review all of the lift options in great detail. After considering my options and making my selection, Joel got the parts and tires ordered, the lift install scheduled, and they executed it without any issues. I have since, bought a bed cover from 4WP that I received from them faster than Amazon could get it to me. Just brought my truck back for the retorque on the lift and Joel stayed on top on my account all the way through keeping me informed of the progress. Joel and 4WP are world class!

Ordered/paid for a Flowmaster muffler for my truck by phone on Thursday. Was told the part would be delivered from the Dallas warehouse to their store by 1pm the next day. Believing the part would be in (shame on me) I drove to the store (23 miles) and arrived at 1:30 only to be told the part never made it on the truck from Dallas to San Antonio. Was told the part would more than likely arrive Monday. I told them not good enough and to refund my card. Sales guy refunded my card and gave me my receipt. No apology, no is there anything we can do to keep the sale...nothing. Thumbs down on customer service guys...

Disappointing experience:7/23/2021The following is based off my first and only visit to this location and with a single sales associate:I went in this morning to get some expert advice on building out a jeep gladiator. I was hoping I could tell the expert the goal and they would be able to spit out the options and the pros/cons of those options.The results was like going to autozone where the sales person would look up what they had available for the vehicle. It was far short from expert advice, plus I also discovered that this organization is really limited to the available parts and brands they sell.I will update any future experiences I have for this location.

Really rude service I will not be spending my money there. Went into to get a price quote on wheels tires and a lift. When I told the sales rep I have a cheaper quote somewhere else for the lift and wheels. He then said he will not provide any business to me if I buy a lift kit and rims somewhere else. Then when I called them they remembered me. And left me on hold for ever and never picked back up. I tried calling 2 times after being on hold for so long they refused to answer the phone. When they saw the caller i.d. I needed details on body lift. These guys need to learn how to be polite to customers. And also need to do their job and provide details on products your selling. If u dont want to do your job then u should find another profession. Just my humble opinion. I will be taking my 10 grand some where else.

Pretty good had my alignment done everything went great except for my dual steering stabilizer I had they didnt tighten it good enough and now 1 day later Im back underneath the jeep re adjusting the stabilizer and re tightening it.

Constantly selling you things and never have the parts in stock. Been waiting for about 3 weeks now for my parts to come in and not one update on whats going on and forget about calling the place, you just get put on hold for over 30 minutes. Worst!!!

Not the cheapest but well worth it. Staff is so incredibly knowledgeable. Will be getting a 7 inch lift with wheels and tires.

Super rude customer service! Called to ask about Bilstein Shocks listed on your site. Sales rep was extremely rude and caught an attitude because I asked about a part number! Don’t worry, I won’t be spending any money here or recommending anyone does as well. Apparently they don’t need the business!

I went in with a rough idea of what I wanted. The very knowledgeable sales rep was able to give me several options, ordered my choice and scheduled an installation time all in 30 min. Hard to beat.

Henry the sales manager and Chris the installation manager made what started as a situation into a pleasant experience by the end of the day. They went above and beyond to stand by their word and were very helpful and communicative through the process. Definitely recommend this place

Had ordered online and founded out after bumpers arriving at my local shop the parts wouldnt be a good fitment for the vehicle. Called 4wp and they said I could return to the nearest 4wp store. I went and they told me they could only do in store credit which I was fine with due to the shipping boxes the bumpers came in were destroyed. I wanted them to do some other work anyways so I dropped it off when they said they could get to it. After the vehicle had been there a week they said it would be another week. After the next week I went to pick it up after all the work was to be completed. They still hadnt got some parts so I was like fine I will just pick the final parts and have my local shop install.After having the vehicle back I started to notice the problems. First was the wireing they charged me for was done so I couldnt access the vehicles fuse box. The cost of installation was astronomical. To give you an idea four led pods install cost as much as a lift kit installation.Headlights were installed but not adjusted which left the lights to pointing towards the sky. This became such a driving hazard I had to adjust them at night after noticing it.They adjusted one of the strut coil overs as requested. However the strut was marred up during the process.All said and done I would avoid if possible to save time and money. Dont get me wrong these guys are really nice. Its just not easy to get what you want without paying over the normal shop cost and getting poor quality.

Called for help with a quote, guy (that didn’t give name), gave attitude trying to get information. I work in customer service myself and this was terrible. I didn’t stay on the phone with service like that on the phone makes you wonder how well are they going to take care of my vehicle.

Terrible service, the worker at the counter was on the computer and didn’t even greet me, I had to ask him for help, and when he answered he gave me a look like I was bothering him. I didn’t feel he wanted to help me at all, I would not recommend this place

I walked in there and I was the only customer in the store. I browsed for a bit and approached the counter and was told they would be with me in a minute. Few minutes later with no engagement, so I walked. I would go here to browse inventory, but plan on purchasing elsewhere because their customer service appears shoddy.

Nice guy, honest vehicle no complaints here but I am waiting over 2 months now for my license plates. I was promised over the phone time and time again that he would get it done. Guess I have to go to an DMV investigator to file for a bonded title! Do I really have to do this?

Spend thousands of dollars to be treated like an inconvenience because they are so busy “you’ll just have to wait”. Basic service is several weeks wait. Need a $400 tire patched? Nope too busy.

I ordered a RTT over the phone, original salesman was very helpful and found what I was looking for and got it here quickly. When I went to pick it up, the salesman was rude and eating half the time I was trying to talk to him. And I had to call back to get a receipt and after the same salesman finally emailed me a copy, he hung up on me while I was trying to thank him for helping me.

I would give these guys zero stars if I could.Two separate times I went looking for shocks for my truck. Absolutely no customer service whatsoever. I actually stood in front of the counter for 15 minutes right in front of an empty store with guys behind the counter and still nobody asked if I needed help.First off. They just google just like you or I can do. Then would actually argue with me on what lift kit I have on my truck. Like I don’t know what I’m running on my own truck. Two different times two different stories on what kind of lift I have. Both times I went and showed them my truck. Both times the guys looked confused. When asked what my options were I was told. I have no options and have to run shocks made by the lift company. If that’s the case why do y’all offer Fox shocks or Bilstien shocks and not the shocks made by the company that made my lift kit?Take your money to a place that knows what they are doing. This place obviously doesn’t.

Once again these guys have done a great job! I have now been 2 times once for spacers and again for a go rhino sport rack. Great job guys the process was flawless from order to install. They listened to all my questions and walked me through everything they did.

I was told they absolutely could not bring my truck into the shop to repair a flat punctured tire because they closed in an hour! Apparently they close shop one whole hour early. I also made them aware that I bought all of my tires from them and that I also have WARRANTY on them. When I purchased the tires and warranty I specifically asked about tire repairs and how they handled that since they are often very busy. I was told I would become a priority and they’d squeeze me in and take care of me. Today came and.... FALSE! I was NOT made a priority.They will NEVER get my business again.You’re way better off going somewhere else and I guarantee you you will find better prices for parts and labor! I think I’ll go to DISCOUNT TIRE for my new set of tires.If 4wheel parts didn’t get the business from local dealerships to install off-road parts etcThey’d be out of business for sure.Overrated, customer service sucks, and they over charge or simply charge for things other shops wouldn’t when it comes to buying and installing new wheels and tires.Don’t do it y’all! Save your time and money!

Always a superb professional job done. Again had a new rear bumper installed. These guys are pros, cant express enough this level of quality, you wont find it anywhere else.

The system manager here help me out so much. He was very Knowledge full and was able to point out the problem with my suspension right away.

Great place to see the most up to date accessories, but service after the sale is non-existent. Waste of time to buy lifetime balancing and rotation, unless you want to wait for an appointment and dont mind giving up your vehicle for most of a day. Also powder coated accessories I have bought rusted in the first year. Had them replace one but second one rusted just as fast. If you want to be trendy, it is your place.

DMV employees offer better customer service. All 3 guys behind the counter need to work on their people skills.Its obvious that we do not have the same level of knowledge of off road/jeep garbage, so be patient when someone is just trying to ask simple questions and trying to spend money. Hopefully the parts I bought are not as horrible as the customer service.

Ok here it comes. We have a RAV4 Hybrid and we know that other people have a ARB awning with it. So why not going by that shop and asking them about it.Seems like they dont like people that dont have full sized trucks or SUVs coming to their store trying to drop money. As soon as the employee heard what vehicle we have, he looked at us like we dont belong there. He gave us answers that where as helpful as a frozen block of butter.There are more people like us that have small to midsize SUVs that are starting to go light off roading and camping that would love to buy accessories than full sized 4WD trucks and SUVs that will drop the same money.This store lost us as a customer for sure and just like here, I will tell everyone I see or talk online to, that they should stay away from this store at all costs.

Bad sales team.

On their website I ordered running boards for my truck. Website makes it seem to go and just pick up. I go to pick up once they open and they say. The PayPal hasnt came thru and once it does we have to order them and itll be 5-7 days. Even the guy at the counter said they have been trying to fix that on their website because its makes it seem they carry it on site. It was a Saturday so I have to wait until Monday to cancel. I called to cancel and theyre like well we have to wait until the manager is in and then he has to email corporate to refund your money. What a ridiculous process. Even the website says you have to modify or cancel any orders at the store you ordered from. All around mess

I WENT IN AUGUST AND ORDERED RUNNING BOARDS 2 WEEKS LATER HANDT HEARD FROM ANYONE I HAD TO CALL THREE TIMES BEFORE SOMEONE FINALLY TOOK THE TIME TO REALLY LOOK AT THE ORDER AND REALIZED THE MANUFACTURER HAD THEM ON BACK ORDER TIL MID OCTOBER. SO WE ORDERED ANOTHER SET ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT BRACKETS NEEDED TO BE ORDERED SEPARATELY. THEY CALLED THE COMPANY TO SEE IF THEY COULD GET THE BRACKETS. BUT HERE I AM ALMOST TWO MONTHS LATER AND NO RUNNING BOARDS. I CALL TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER AND ADVISE HIM THAT ALL OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF ANY ONE OF THE THREE GUYS MY HUSBAND AND I TALKED TOO HAD BOTHERED TO CHECK THE ORIGINAL ORDER AND SAID OH HEY ITS ON BACK ORDER. NOT TO MENTION HAD THE LAST GUY WE ACTUALLY PLACED THE NEW ORDER WITH DONE HIS DUE DILIGENCE AND READ THE NOTE AT THE BOTTOM WE WOULD HAVE KNOWN BRACKETS NEEDED TO BE ORDERED SEPARATELY. ALL I GOT OUT OF THE MANAGER WAS I DONT KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU OTHER THAN I TRIED TO GET PART AND I CANT DO ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT IT OTHER THAN IM SORRY. IVE APOLOGIZED AND JOEL HAS APOLOGIZED IN A VERY PATRONIZING TONE I MIGHT ADD. JOEL WAS THE ONLY HELPFUL EMPLOYEE AT THIS PLACE. HE TRULY WAS THE ONLY PERSON THERE WITH ANY SENSE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SATISFACTION.

My first time there and I was impressed with the size of the store. They have a large variety of different things for your truck, Jeep and other off road vehicles. Plus they will install anything you buy there, at a price of course. I have been to a few other stores that were no larger than my living room and then they say I will have to look it up.

I had a great experience at 4 Wheel Parts. Johnny helped me get set up with an install on the same day that I purchased the side steps for my Wrangler. I appreciate him going the extra mile since my work schedule doesnt support me getting installs completed on Monday-Fridays. 4 Wheel Parts definitely earned my service as I plan to mod my Jeep. Johnny upfront was not forthcoming to say the least, I was quoted 2 hours for a tire swap, I was patient and waited until after 3 hours to ask wheat the hold up was, I was then told itd be an additional 1.5 hours.After speaking with Johnny again he started that the 2 hours was from the time the truck entered the shop, not what time my appointment was at. This is called telling half the truth. Cost me a lot of money having to spend half a day waiting, will NEVER return.

Called and asked if they had a battery for my truck, stated they had several brands I could chose from. Battery was dead and I was stranded in a parking lot so I Ubered there to get it, upon arrival 16 minutes later they had no batteries in stock and everything was next day delivery. Wow what a horrible business practices to lie to get people into the store. Ended up spending 24 bucks on an Uber around the area to go to a different place. Would never go here for anything.

This place is so ridiculous in ordering parts and placing them as well. Spent 30minutes describing what I needed and to find out for my self that the part that was ordered was not only late to be shipped but also wrong size. No matter if you call by phone or show up in person this place will drop the ball on your parts. Seems that the staff is more interested on starting the weekend rather than listening to the hard working customer.

I got a good price on the tires I bought, BFG KO2, but the installation was terrible and they didnt even balance my tires. I had to take my tires to another shop, pay extra and have the balanced. Plus after paying for them to throw away my old tires they left them in the back of my truck. Very dissatisfied with the service. I would not recommend. I will go to Costco next time, equal price and better service.

I am 100% positive these people are trained to immediately put you on hold if you call. They have a great selection, but plan on being second to any big San Antonio car dealer that is picking something up....my truck mats were given to car dealers twice. Took 3 weeks to get mats that i could have ordered online in 3 days. Thats what I get for trying to support local business I guess.

Phone customer service needs much improvement. The processing of my order was completely unsatisfactory. Place and paid for my order on 16May, they ordered the part on 18May from Dallas. It took them 2 days to place my order. I was told that my part would be here in 5 days. It is now 13 days since I ordered my part. I was given some excuse about Memorial Day slowing the delivery. Not likely, Memorial Day was yesterday. I could’ve walked to Dallas and back quicker than this.Not going to be a return customer.

We just bought a jeep wrangler and needed mirrors because we removed the doors. We will be buying other accessories. Joel provided outstanding customer service, he gave us a lot of tips/information. We look forward to other visits.

Have only good things to say about this 4 wheel parts store in San Antonio. First they help us by finding replacement chairs for our 2001 Jeep. Next was their customer service very good and they made sure we were happy with the service they provided.

I have not done business with these guys yet. However, Ive called for quotes (for which I waited a good while) and they were all much higher than other shops. They out-quoted other by about $200 for the installation of a leveling kit and alignment. It did take time to find another shop, but it was worth the money I didnt have to spend. Also, they have to order parts in advance, they dont typically have them in stock. When you finally get them on the phone, they are friendly and knowledgable. But Ill pass on them.

I recommend 4wheelparts SA to anyone looking for a lift done right. Their call waiting is awful, but If you ever go by their store you will see how busy they are trying to fulfill all of their customers wishes, so either be patient on the phone or get real and go to the store. They will meet your expectations at a reasonable price and time-frame.

Great Staff, large inventory and they can typically get you in and out in a reasonable time frame.I would suggest trying to get installations done during the week as weekends are pretty busy.

Been using them for 10 years now. Yes they are that BUSY and POPULAR that you might have to wait in line and on the phone.The sales staff are knowledgeable to a degree. I say this because they cant know every truck out there and every facet of it. Its just the truth.Someone wrote that they didnt get what they paid for. I know for a fact they go over every part you ordered and how it should and could look. Including wheel sizing and off set. A picture will not tell you what was done to the truck.They have always priced matched any part off line or local.They are a chain store regardless. They adhere to what you would expect from a chain store. They are not fabricators. Just about every local shop from Planet Pickup to Black Jack buy from them for their parts. What does that tell you?4 out of 5 due to long waits and time it takes to build the truck/jeep/suv. And for the franchise not giving them a bigger store they keep asking for in town.

As a lot of other people have mentioned, the hold time for calling them is kinda crazy. They should have a dedicated telephone operator whose only responsibility is to answer the phones.The last time I had my tires rotated and balanced, they missed a nail in my tire. When I received my Jeep back, I saw the nail in the middle of the tread on the top of the spare in plain sight. When I asked about getting it fixed, they said they didnt have time to do it until the next day and suggested Id get faster service by taking it to Discount Tire for them to patch. Discount Tire fixed the nail for free within 45 min. of arriving.My main concern is the high probability of corners getting cut due to a high volume of work and understaffing.Once you get to speaking with their staff, they are generally knowledgeable and helpful and are trying. Sounds like corporate sucks to me.

Terrible service. My boyfriend went in there to pick up a lift and all they did for ten minutes was make fun of his name. They even pulled up a skit on youtube to show the one guy the joke. They didn’t even look for his things and chose to make fun of him for ten minutes straight. This place is a joke.

Ive done business with them on quite a few occasions...in person. At the store, they are great. Thats why I gave them 3 stars. On the phone, these guys are horrible. Someone needs to give them some customer service training about how to answer and manage phone calls. I cant think of ANY reason why a customer should be put on hold for 20 minutes.
