Avoid this place. Convinced me to change my air filter during oil change. Had to come back because my car was stalling out (almost got into an accident) They told me the technician didnt install the air flow filter correctly but said that wasnt the reason i was stalling out. Had to come back a third time and they figure out that there was leaf covering my airflow sensor because the filter wasnt installed correctly. When i drive my car out of the parking lot i notice my door is making a very loud buzzing sound when it locks and didnt do that before i took it in that morning. I take it back and they want to charge me almost $600 to fix it.Avoid at all costs.

Making a last minute appointment and they got me in same day! Service was quick and professional. Going in for a oil change and A/C recharge for a 2019 GMC 3500 Denali. Saved me money by letting me know I didnt need an A/C recharge but rather a new cabin air filter. Brad contacted me personally afterwards and really appreciated the personal touch!

I went in for an a/c check and ended up getting robbed for $100 that I accidentally left in a cubby by my steering wheel. The “managers” said they checked the garage and asked the mechanics and none of them had it. Crazy how the money can stay there for a trip to wall and back but can’t for a Midas mechanic to check my a/c. They proceeded to act like checking cameras would change something while not even having the password for the cameras. I asked for Dannys number so I can address it with him and they gave me the corporate number after hours. This is the second time I’ve been done wrong by Midas I will not be returning.

I have a 2008 F250. I had my starter serviced here in August 2021. I rode by several times checking on the status because I need my truck for work. Never once was my vehicle pulled into the garage. I saw them servicing my truck in the lot. Less than 7 days after servicing my truck, it wouldnt start again. The mechanic in Brownwood Tx at Quick Lane says the previous starter wasnt installed correctly. Starter was connected to the wrong battery terminal post. When I questioned the midas mechanics they had a totally different story, almost unbelievable. I called Midas HQ, Im now Ref #4239491. And Ive yet to hear from them though email or any other avenue. Ive paid labor for the same issue twice in the same week, and Im to believe its my fault. I will have to incur the cost. Do not trust Midas, do not trust your vehicle to them. Shady to say the least.

I went in for an oil change which included a tire rotation. I set up an appointment and they were able to get me in and out within that two hour time slot. They changed my filter as well with my permission. I did not feel hounded my extra expenses. Overall, I spent about 107 dollars. I recommend dropping the car off rather than waiting inside if possible as the waiting area gets a little cramped. Overall, as a college student who needs a reliable vehicle and thus reliable service, I am happy with my experience.

Went in for a state inspection and was told I needed a new headlight pigtail and new power steering belts because mine were fraying and gave me a bill for $270. The manager Brad as well as another mechanic acted like replacing the pigtail was going to be a big undertaking because it was burnt up. I decided to take my car to 2 other mechanics to get their opinion on my belts. Without even telling them I just failed an inspection both mechanics said nothing was wrong with my belts. A trip to ORileys and my burnt pigtails were easily replaced.Moral is these people upsell big time. Stick to local mechanics and stay away from these chains that just want to make extra money. I will never go back there and will tell everyone I know my experience with them.

Midas was recommended to me by several of my friends whom are mechanics. Midas was very polite and knowledgeable. They gave a quote for my adopted moms Suburban catalytic convertors. Shes still in the middle of making a decision.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience here! I was very impressed with the mechanics because they were able to quickly diagnose the problem and gave me a very reasonable quote for repairs. They even caught that my wheel bearings were severely worn out and had everything repaired by the next afternoon! My car now drives better than it has in a very long time. The mechanics here are definitely trustworthy and will continue to have my business!

Dropped my car off for an inspection was told 20min came back 3 hours later to be told they have not done inspection, only to see the mechanic putting a girl he was hitting on in the front of the line. Will not come back just lost a customer

I challenge anyone to go in to see how disorganized this business is. They forget to check on vehicles; in a nutshell. I recommend you go elsewhere if your vehicle cant be fixed the same day.

Sending my daughter here today to have a radiator replaced, she has all the parts well see how it goes...... Well she called for estimate they only wanted $450 for the 1.8 hours of labor listed in the book!! I save lives for a living and dont make that!! I wont be using or recommending anyone I love to go there for anything!!

I came in for an oil change a couple of days before Christmas. I came in early so they weren’t too busy. They said they could get right too me if I could take my kayaks off the roof. I told them “no problem”. They had some someone assist with getting them down which was awesome. When they were rotating my tires they discovered a stripped lug nut. I’d had the tires put on at a national tire chain Discount Tire) and I told them that they would probably fix the issue for free. The Midas rep was super cooperative and called DT to get authorization to conduct the repairs (at no charge to me). Thanks Midas! You guys were great!!

This midas in san angelo are true rip off artists they gave me a price to change my hose on air conditioner of 476.00 ended up paying 135.00 at different auto garage to replace hose and recharge the freon as well. Also they say they are rotating my tires with oil change and I new they did not because I marked the tires and they were in same exact spot on my truck. The real messed up part is they will stand there and lie right to your face. I personaly dont need those kind of people working on anythinig of mine, I would not let them touch my truck ever again. Way to go san angelo midas.

A sham of a business.I was having some issues with my brakes and decided I would try Midas. They were convenient to my house. My brakes were spongy and had some squeaking. I was told to make my brakes safe I would need to spend over $700 which I did. I picked up my truck the next day brakes are still spongy and I called and they said it should get better over a few days. A month later I needed to get a state inspection and my brakes were still spongy. So I decided to take it in to see what was going on. Doing the state inspection they told me I needed another $1000 worth of work done to my brakes and other parts. Upon asking why I needed so much more work done after only being there 45 days ago. They gave me a run around and said its an old truck.I ended up leaving and taking it the next day to a local mechanic shop. He looked over my truck and said the master cylinder( which Midas said they replaced) needed to be replaced soon but not enough to affect braking for state inspection and three light bulbs. None of the other parts they suggested needed to be replaced. He said all work would $350. I proceeded to call Midas and see whats going on and once again was given the runaround and a few threats of having legal actions.

Brought car in because a/c wasnt working. They ran codes and told me it would be $5000 to repair. I just wanted the a/c fixed. Picked up car paid $180 said they ran dye through it and needed it back the next day. Next day still no a/c. Had a buddy look at it. Things werent even bolted back correctly. When I try to call back, no one answers.

I had just taken my pickup to Mitchell Toyota for regular service first thing this morning. They ran a multiple point check, to include brake pads, rotors, air filter, alignment, etc. My son had a doctors appointment, and while an alignment was recommended, brakes and rotors are excellent on this two year old truck with 39400 miles. Because the alignment was recommended by Toyota, but I didnt have time to have it done right then, I decided to try Midas in San Angelo.Never again. They said yes, it needs an alignment and the rotors are warped, brake pads should be replaced as well. Of course the air filter needed replacing as well. didnt authorize the rotor, brake pad or filter replacement. They performed the alignment (perhaps), and we paid $~140 for this service instead of $100 at the dealership because I needed this done today. When I compared the service sheets between Midas and Toyota, who Im sure will recommend repairs to keep their shop as profitable as possible too, there are several discrepancies. Toyota checked the brake pads, rotors, air filter... None of these items were reported as faulty or suggested for replacement or repair. I will NEVER set foot in this crooked shop again, and I will make sure people know what kind of business they are running. I WILL be taking this back to Toyota to make sure the service I was charged for was actually performed. One of the mechanics made a comment about being kicked out of Central High School for setting off cherry bombs... Never again.

My daughter took her car in for state inspection. Was told car needed to repair power steering leak. No visible leaks apparent. Car > 10 years so of course some collection of dirt around the power steering pump visible for that age of vehicle. No leaks apparent and the fluid was never low or needed refilling. Midas just offered to repair the leak for $500. The failed ($7) inspection now requires a repair regardless of being needed. I replaced the power steering pump myself, for $180. Really feel like this place took advantage of my daughter requiring a $500 repair when nothing was really needed. If I had pressure washed the power steering pump prior to the visit, Midas would not have had cause to try and get $500 out of us. Will not ever return to this place for any automobile service.

I normally have had good experience with this shop. but the most recent experience was terrible. They kept my vehicle over a week to repair the AC. There was a time limit for my daughter to get back to Texas A&M. That time limit was missed even though we talked about it in the first discussion to ensure they could meet that. Due to a number of delays, they ended up revising their time commitment to Saturday. They close at 3PM on Saturdays. I called at 2PM and was told when they finished working on another car, then they would go back to finish mine. It was 8PM on a Saturday evening before they finished, in a rush it appeared. It turns out the AC was not fixed (did not blow cold) after spending over $2K and they did not reattach the molding around the tire well correctly so when my daughter got back to College Station, she found that the molding was damaged too. All around from the quality of work to the customer service, this was the worst vehicle repair experience I have ever had. The work is warrantied and we will get it fixed at the Midas in College Station, but this was a very poor experience and I rarely write reviews, but felt this one is needed. Looking at the history of their reviews, most all of the recent ones are one star. I wish I had looked at those first. Something needs to change with them and I hope this customer review will lead to true positive change and not just a standard response which appears to be what is happening with the other recent negative reviews.

I took two vehicles to get alignments done both times was told after alignment it could not be fully done one due to a bolt the other due the rack and pinion Both times I was in the building the whole time never once was I made aware of these problems until it had been “completed” and was told to fully align the vehicle I would be charged full price for another alignment after I fixed the problems I took the second vehicle to a real mechanic I was told there was nothing wrong with the rack and pinion and he completed the alignment right ther. Save your money go somewhere else

So my experience with them has been a disaster. The first time I took it in because the switch for the ac/heater was not working right. They fixed that, didnt charge much, great. Then my car started making an odd noise so I took it in to them. They said it was the timing belt, they kept it for two weeks and I got it back, running fine. Although I ended up paying $1600 for it. I had a light come on so I took it to the Mitsubishi dealer here in town and they discovered numerous nuts and bolts scattered around under the hood and even some parts left off completely. I was told to take it back to Midas since it was still under warranty for them to fix it. I took it back after they said they had received all the parts because I did not want to be left without a vehicle for more time than necessary. My car was running when I left it there Monday, May 2. I was told by the manager it would just be a couple of days. Fast forward to Friday, my engine is completely ruined and Im being treated like it is my fault. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. I tried to reach the district manager in Midland when I found out about what had been done the first time but apparently he does not feel the need to call customers back.

The people who work here are top notch. They diagnosed our truck for free and their prices are great. Great place to go.

Ive been doing business with Midas here in San Angelo for one 1 1/2 year and I am very pleased .

They replaced the bake pads and rotors on my car and less than a month later having issues so took it in and they cleaned it up and said that if I kept having issues they would honor the warranty and replace it all. Why not just do it now and save me a trip back later. You clearly said that the pads were more worn than they should be for less than a month of use. Not a satisfied customer. Spent 1000.00 and the quality of the parts are shoty at best. Inconvenient trips back to have them not really fix the issue.

I dont know the first thing about cars so when I brought my car in for a flat tire and an oil change I wasnt aware that my cabin air filter was molding or that all of my tires were ticking time bombs. The guy took time to walk me through everything they found and explain it to me. They were so sweet and caring I will absolutely be coming back!

Have had good experiences in the past, but this last one ruined it for me. Leaving out of country for a few years in four days, my vehicle needed a hose and switch replaced for the power steering, a tire replaced, asked for a full alignment and all tires ballanced, asked for a sensor in the front driver tire and a sensor on the transmission to be replaced, as well the car has not been getting the amount of air conditioning as it did when initially purchased. They did replace the tire, aligned the rear, and balanced that one tire. Midas also replaced the switch and hose for the power steering. They checked the air and found no problems, which is good and the car seems to have decent air. But the other three tires were not balanced and they didnt replace the transmission or tire sensor, even though I asked when here the first time and over two phone calls to make sure it is all done. I expected the bill to be a little over $400.00, and the actual bill was $673.67. I understand labor can be high, I didnt know it was $109.00 an hour, and I did ask several times how much the final bill would be or estimated to be. When I left Midas the car, they said it would be done by the next morning, then that time was changed to that evening, then that time changed to the next morning, that time changed to the morning after, I called again and they said the car would be finished by 2 or 3pm, and now I just got the car at 3:45pm. Really wish they could have just given me a better estimate on time, could have done all the work that I asked for, the price not to have been so high, we dropped it off with a full tank of gas and picked it up with a quarter tank of gas, and to top it off the guard that covers my engine is now cracked but the mechanic says it was already damaged; I just dont have proof that it wasnt. Really would have went somewhere else if I knew this was what I should expect and I could have even saved the money that I spent on a rental.

Got me in same day for an oil change, got my cabin air filter delivered from down the road for no extra charge, pointed out some things to get done in the near-ish future and made sure I had their shop number so that if I go somewhere else and worry theyre talkit advantage of me, I can call and double check with them- as well as giving me a printout with everything I had done and need to get done, all in plain English. I always love a shop that doesnt make me feel like an idiot female; these guys took me to look under my hood and see exactly what fluids I needed and how they affect my car. I appreciate the hell out of that!

Would offer zero stars if possible. I was lied to in order for them to try and make some money off of me. I went in for an oil change and was told I needed my brakes done as they were almost metal to metal. I go grab some brake pads on my way home, take off the first wheel and looked at the first set of pads that still had well over half of the pad left. I thought, well maybe it was a different pad or the read pads almost out, so I checked them all. Sure enough well more than half the pad left on every wheel. Dont trust the recommendations by these crooks.

Incorrectly diagnosed my vehicle as needing an engine replacement when all that was actually needed was a $60 ground cable. Visit at your own risk.

Went for noise in steering/shocks, told needed bearing replacement, but still didnt fix noise what I went for.

I took my vehicle here to be inspected and they failed me and said I had to pay $1000 to get a part repaired before I can get passed. I bought my vehicle two weeks ago and had a mechanic do a full inspection on it before I bought it. I also took it someplace for a second opinion after going to Midas and they said it’d misdiagnosed it and just needed a couple tubes tightened. I’m amazed that Midas would take advantage of people like that.

Went in to fix my muffler. They were nice at first and then rude after I said I didnt want other work done on my vehicle. They did a horrible job. My vehicle was dented where they fixed the muffler and the muffler wasnt put on right. Almost $200 and for this jacked up job. Will never go back again. Now we have to go to another place to get this fixed. 👎👎

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!! Do NOT do business here. I have never been one to leave a bad review but this one takes the cake. Long story short we take my fiancés pickup to get an oil change, inspection done an over all checkup for his truck basically, we left paying well over $1000. They supposedly inspected my finances 2007 F150 the previous Friday but when I take the pickup to get the registration done there is no inspection form or any evidence that they inspected it! I call Midas and they say the inspector is out for the day to call back tomorrow well that doesnt work for me I have plans the next day. So I call back a few minutes later to see if there is anything they can print off for me to show the registration people so he tells me to come in and see what they can do. He tells me they have no record of an inspection being done but I paid for it? Makes absolutely no sense! He tells me to go get it inspected elsewhere and then bring him the ticket and he will refund me. So Im running all over town because of these idiots! So I go get it inspected at another place in town and they were very understanding and tried to look in the database again to see if they missed anything and nothing. So they reinspect my car and then the mechanic comes in and tells me my wiper blades are no good and they need to put new ones on or else it wont pass inspection! After I already paid for brand news at Midas!! I return to Midas to show him the ticket and show him my wiper blades. He did refund my money for both but I am so upset about the whole experience. Who knows what else we paid for that they didnt even fix. Very unprofessional business. I repeat do not do business there. I wouldnt even leave 1 star. Awful.

Very professional work, but, no coffee

I went to Midas to get a Bolt on my 2001 Dodge Durango fixed, Needless to say I had been all over San Angelo, No one even wanted to look at my car. The guys there spent way more time waiting on part delivery than actually working with my car. Eventually the mechanic Gino just went to get the parts needed by himself.These guys are exceptional at their work. Minus the delivery wait, it took about an hour. I even noticed he cleaned out my aftermarket air filter. Will definitely do business again with them. They are an awesome group. Thanks Guys

Ripping people off!! Quoted a long list of things that I “needed” which I fortunately knew for certain that I didn’t need. Said I needed front brakes that are brand new. Makes me wonder how many people are blindly getting ripped off by Midas. Avoid at all cost.

EDIT: Retraction of previous 1-star review complaining of being charged for services that were not performed.I promised to edit my review if they were able to fix my problem, and Im making good on that promise.While my initial experience with Midas was unsatisfactory, they did go out of their way to fix the issue. Not only did they fix their initial mistakes, they also refunded me the cost of services - I received an alignment and oil change at no cost. However, it did require 3 trips over the course of several weeks to get the issues fixed, as well as a Better Business Bureau ticket. In sum, while I was initially charged for an alignment and oil change that were not performed, I eventually received both of these services for free. As I would have been satisfied with just a refund for the oil change (since they fixed the alignment the 2nd time I took it in at no additional cost), Im deeply impressed with their efforts to make things right.

My husband took our used Jeep we had just purchased in this weekend to have an oil change done. It was there from 1:30 on Friday till 3 oclock on Saturday . We knew that oil had been leaking and asked them to fix it. $300 later, we came to pick up our Jeep and it was still leaking. Since it was closing time, the guy told us to just go ahead and leave and come back on Monday. Monday we went to Goodyear instead.Turns out that the bolts had not been put back on properly. I realize this was probably not something that Midas did wrong. It was probably from the previous owner period but when someone tells you that they have fixed the problem and charge you $300, it would be nice to know that the problem was actually fixed

Worst experience ever had my girlfriend go in for a oil change an alinement they stripped the oil pan and plug then let her leave with it that way and only notice it when there was a puddle of oil under her car I had to go buy more oil so that we could take it back up there because they couldnt send anyone with oil because they were closing in 20min we had to wait till the next day to have it looked at and to top it all off they didnt give her an alinememt sheet I had them put it back on the Alinement rack only to find out that it wasnt even done in the first place and then had the guy try an tell me that it was but looking at the computer the toe was still off really bad an the car was only drove 10 miles after it was supposivly aligned I WOULD NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE STAFF IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

If I could give this place no stars I would. Very incompetent people working there. They try to sell you things/repairs that you dont need. I thought the tech was going to ruin my starter trying to start my 1980 CJ7 Jeep. He ground the gears horribly trying the find first gear, and had no ideas how to adjust the seat. Also while I was there a very unsatisfied customer (military) questioned repairs that they did that he knew did not need to be done. Another gentleman had been waiting for OVER an hour for just an estimate and a lady had been there over TWO hours for a head light. They were not that busy for a wait to be that long. When questioned they would walk away and leave customers standing there with no explanation. I have never seen a more poorly run operation....EVER!!!! My advice? Go anywhere but Midas. Be sure to read all of the reviews first if you do decide to take your vehicle there. I wish I had. I will never get back the 1 hour that I wasted there!!!!

Ugh! i hate saying it but this last experiance at Midas in San Angelo, was absolutely horrible! started off speaking with Manuel, told him how we wanted my truck done, and even gave him our phone number to call when my truck was done.. yeah saturday came and by noon we called and its been done, and he smarted off you didnt leave a number, and we was like um yeah we did, and the guy goes my bad didnt write it down, and to top that off my truck was wrong! so he said come back monday and they would fix it.. yeah went monday and their manager was willing to fix it, but yet wanted to charge us beacuse of Manuels mess up... yeah Ryan (manager guy) its not our fault that your fellow employee cant do his job correctly! very dissapointed!
