Maddie, Isabelle, Angela, Branda, in Martin Quotes/Customer servicemake it so organized, and easy to order and work with Martin Doors. I havenot experienced anything like it before. Insofar as just their organization, the way things are run. All that lends itself to keeping me more organized and better able to serve my customers at a higher level. Love it. it really makes my days much easier in the glamorous world of garage doors anyway. Do NOT change anything ever in the way that department is run.:)
I have to honestly say this place is the biggest cluster ever!! At first when I called last Thursday, the lady that scheduled me for a measuring was sweet as pie. She made an appointment for this morning, for 9:30 am. I took the day off of work to make sure I was home, well come 9:30 am, no one was here, 10:00 still no one from Martin Doors. After a couple of attempts of calling I was finally given someone who said they would definitely have someone out to my place today. She sent me a text, and an email with the appointed time of 12:30 pm. Well its after 2:00 pm I have called Martine doors several times to finally be forwarded to the guy who was supposed to come by and measure for him to tell me, he is not making it because he was only told about my appointment a couple of hours ago and has no idea how he got wrapped up into this situation. I tried to call Martin Doors back only to have no one pick up the phone. I absolutely do not recommend this company at all. They are so unprofessional and waste your time!
Heart and has some of the best doors in the world but youre paying for a lot of that is their name theres others out there in competition that has doors that are just as well built if not better first United for one
My friend works here, and I dropped him off but its a good place for garage doors!!
We just got a new garage door opener for our old rickety garage, with 2 remotes and a keyless pad, wow! We should have done this decades ago. Oh my gosh. Luis is the best of the best. What a hard worker, in the hot garage, just dedicated in what he was doing. Very professional, very hard worker. Very knowledgeable. We couldnt be happier. If Martin Doors ever reads these posts, a huge thank you for Luis, a huge commendation from us. We are very happy customers.
I bought a home having a Martin garage door. I have had nothing but problems. I paid for them to come fix by reprogramming the unit. Seven months later again my garage door wouldn’t shut. Agent came and again reprogrammed it but on top of the 42 $ service charge just for a service call I was shared an extra 50$ for working on it ... it took him 5 min.!!!! Well today, this not so wonderful garage door is having the exact same problem. I called wanting to speak to the owner. But it rang only to his voice mail. I called again and asked the receptionist to find him . She hung up and was blocked from getting through. Their business responsibilities to the public are very much lacking.Don’t be sorry ... go with a mor reputable company.
Great products but slow process picking up products😰.
Very nice products and friendly folks. I highly recommend visiting the showroom to see what their doors look like up close.
Very thankful for the work Jeff did on my 17 year old Martin Door. Its a long story and I will try to condense it as much as I can. Im a Facility Manager at the General Aviation side of the Salt lake City International Airport. I had called a company that I had been using in past to work on our commercial doors and thought that I would get the same treatment for my home as I would at work. I was wrong. The price for the spring replacement and door opener which was damaged was 1500.00. I then called Martin Doors and for some reason the number I called put me through to Precision Doors which they made it sound that they were affiliated with Martin Doors. Be careful about this when calling off the Martin Doors Website this has been an ongoing situation. When they arrived I had asked if they were with Martin Doors and they said that, no Martin Doors in a sense works for them. I was told all the problems going on with Martin Doors and how their company was in disarray. They quoted me a very high price and said that the springs would have to be specially made and they tried to up sale me on an opener that cost more because they said the garage door was heavy and I needed a heavy duty opener. 1,300.00 plus labor. Wow unreal. While Precision Doors was at my home I called Martin Doors again and told them they were here and they were shocked that Precision Doors was at my house. They immediately sent some one out from Martin Doors. The employee from Precision Doors had a sense that I was checking and they quickly got out of there. Jeff showed up with Martin Doors and took care of everything. In short the total for replacement of the springs, new opener, key pad and labor came to 887.00. Thank you Martin Doors for your great service and follow up. I will never go anywhere else. In the future I will be calling for any work I need done at home and here at work.Thank you again.
I really like Martin Doors!
Martin Door Manufacturing is by far the leader in the industry when it comes to quality, craftsmanship and safety. I am happy to say that I am a Martin dealer and have been for 30 years. All my customers are so pleased with their 1 week build time for a custom garage door. No need to settle for a builders grade door cause your in a time crunch. Thanks Martin Door for the many years of making a fine garage door!
This company is locally owned, pretty much invented the business in Utah and takes pride in their work. They are responsive and have a great reputation they work hard to protect. The quality is second to none and their customer service is fantastic. To the person who said he cant get in touch with anyone in CS... thats ridiculous... and if all else fails you can walk in the showroom and talk to one of the techs. Very helpful and generous with their time.
Jeff is amazing! He spent almost an hour with me on the phone walking me through it. Thank you for your wonderful customer service!
Been here three times for parts. Each time they are super friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Always have what I need. Very helpful. As I look at the reviews here, I can only figure that a ton of people buy here and go on their merry way without leaving a review. A few have a less than satisfactory experience and (as I would) emotion drives them to leave a negative review. Trust me. There are countless satisfied customers from the parts counter at Martin doors. Im just one (3 times). Have a great day!
Highly recommended authority - they make sure the customer has what they need! I am too much happy with these services,
Amazing garage doors and helpful staff.
We had bought a house 2 years ago and have had no problem with our garage door. How ever I do have 2 questions. 1.do I need to reset anything when I change the battery in the remote opener such as a code and if so how would I do that #2 I cant change the the pin number on the key pad. Any suggestions. I have all the faith in your company to help with this. Im a single mom and dont know mush about how to do these things. Please help as I know you will.
Very poor quality. I have 2 doors, total. A 9ft and an 18ft. The 18ft model is built from the same thin material as the 9ft....see the problem, already? As soon as the warranty was up, the large door began cracking on the edges where the guide wheels mount. There are 12 total rollers and Ive had to repair 10 of them. The hinges basically fell off, cracked and self destructed. The 9 ft door is fine, but it rarely gets used.I made some aluminum supports to fix this issue, but the door is about 1 step above trash. If it said, Made by K-Mart it would feel about right. Somehow Ive made this thing last ten years, but its required constant maintenance, and almost 500.00 in replacement springs.Maybe all garage doors are bad quality, but I promise my next one will not be a Martin Overhead door. If anyone from Martin has issue with this review, I will happily post pictures to prove my point.I gave them 2 stars, and Im not sure why. Seriously, credit given for lasting 10 years, but I seriously doubt most people could make these brackets I had to, not to mention their installation.
When i was working there it was awesome good place and cool looking Garage Doors.
Lorelei white is great to deliver foam to very great attitude
Beautiful doors & the personnel are kind & helpful....
Great product but whats even more important great customer service, I got from them one double door and one single door( metal with glass panels). Thank you Jarl - your tech is great, thank you for standing behind your product!
Super pleased with Martin Doors. Simple, inexpensive door, looks great and the Marantec door opener is totally quiet. I have an unusual garage and it was originally thought Id need a low-clearance kit so one was ordered with the door. When the installer came (on-time too btw), he was able to install it without the low-clearance track, which saved me $104 from what I was going to pay!
Expensive but great looking door. My only complaint is after the installation I noticed a 1/4 inch gap along the entire width of the door. A $8,000 copper custom made insullated door and it did not include weather stripping at the top of the door. I was told that this is never included with the installation. I replied it was also not mentioned that it was excluded. Now why would anyone that buys an insulated door want a big gap at the top? A poor customer policy spoils an otherwise positive experience. Make sure you mention that the door should be weatherstripped on all sides. It should go without saying but...apparently it doesnt. I was told that I had to pay for the weather stripping. What a croc. I expected more for this kind of money.
Really like how they were friendly and these 2gentlemen helped us even though it wasnt in their job title to load our door, Im pretty sure their names were Finesi&Danny very well mannered respectful young men
The worst experience we have ever had with an install and manufacturer.Basically he hires unskilled installers who cant install the doors. After 18 months are doors still dont operate properly. The manufacturer then blamed the installer and sent another installer who said the door were the wrong type and the spring system could not work. They wanted to charge us an additional 10k.The manufacturer took no responsibility and they each blamed the other. We now are suing the first installer and after that we will have to get an attorney in Utah to sue this firm.So we had a range of quotes for our four doors 26k to 60k.We took the cheap one and got exactly thatCheap doorsBad workBad installAnd worse customer service.Stay away and dont try to save pennies it will cost you in the end.
I live in Wyoming. Purchased Martin doors for my shop 2 years ago. They do not back there product what so ever. I sent pictures of the door, the pictures made it all the way to the CEO. He told me it was the wind and would not be covered. He also stated that it need struts or stifferners, but the funny thing is that these were not included with the door. He stated most people DO NOT want to purchase the struts because of the cost. So my question is if the already know that the wind is an issue in Wyoming why wouldnt struts or stifferners be include with the door? Not happy would not recommend Martin doors to anyone. They dont back there product. Know, I have to fix my door at my cost to make it useable again. BAD BAD BAD BAD.....DO not purhases
Staff is awesome they make sure the customer has what they need! Awesome customer service
Hard working people that have pride in making quality & safe doors
They didnt install my door to my order ask for them to fix it was told I was just trying to get something for free and they wont come fix the door so I can open it. They also lost my payment dont pay them cash.
Great customer service, they had my garage spring in stock.
Im surprised at the lack of customer service from this company. Still trying to just get in touch with someone about purchasing a product that should have accompanied my original purchase. Ill update the review if I ever get through to someone who sounds like they dont absolutely hate their job.
Pre-Payment - Post-PaymentTwo entirely different phases of a Martin Door experience.5 1/2 Weeks, No Door! This is my initial review of Martin Door garage door company. It will be updated until the final resolution of my issues. My experience with Martin Door has had two distinct phases. Pre-Payment and Post-Payment. Day and Night. Jekyll and Hyde.As of April 12th, 34 days passed since I paid my 50% deposit to purchase a small steel garage door. Still waiting on the door. Full payment was made 2 weeks ago. The timeline was explained to me on 3 separate occasions (2 weeks to manufacture the door, 1 week for shipping, 3 total weeks to receive it). No problem for Martin, full payment is required before shipping.STATUS: 5 1/2 weeks have passed...No Door!DETAILS: I called the Sales Rep at Martin on April 7, who for the most part has been immediately contactable and extremely helpful in the purchase of my door. She forwarded my call to the guy who runs their Shipping department. I left a voicemail and requested a callback. Despite having already paid Martin Door $500 to deliver my door, I requested to pick it up myself from the shippers freight dock. That would involve renting a truck that would haul a 12-foot long crate weighing precisely 511 pounds. No Callback! I called back to the shipping department 3 days later. No Answer!Called again. Notta!Again. Crickets! One more time. The telephone operator said she would walk out to the people presently working in Shipping and get someone to help me. Help me? Remember, this is Post-Payment (Hyde). In response to an email I later sent to the company, I received a call from the Shipping guy who said he never checked his voicemail.Doesnt answer the phone. Doesnt check voicemail. Doesnt respond to coworker face-to-face notifications of customer problems. Hmmm...Post-Payment.LEARN from my experience and research:PRODUCTS: Composite Wood = Foam- Doors are actually steel doors with a Foam overlay (No Wood!)- Dealers warn against their purchase)DEALERS: Few and Quick to recommend other brands over Martin- Only 2 of the 10 Dealers in the Eastern that I called sell Martin Door products- Some had no idea who the Martin Door company was- Only 1 of the 13 total dealers I called recommended the Martin brandSHIPPING: Slow and Expensive- $500 minimum on top of the cost of the door and accessories- Same price whether you buy from a Dealer or direct from Martin Door - I priced both- Doors are shipped via a Freight Forwarder- Shipment is via Economy- Martin has No Control of the companies that will handle the door- Martin has No Control of how long the crate sits in any freight yard- Nearly a week in one freight yard for me- Shipping Manager told me that Logistics Troubles caused big problems for Martin DoorCUSTOMER SERVICE: Non-Existent (from my experience and many reviews I have read)UPDATE: The day after posting this review, Martins Marketing Director called me to discuss my issue. Issue? He hadnt even read my email which made it to their CEO. By the way, details of my issue werent included in this review at that time. Interesting how my voicemail and phone calls to Martin went unanswered, but...Yelp!The Marketing guy agreed this issue was unacceptable, and said he couldsolve this problem. After reiterating to him my loss of 2 days work from 2 missed delivery appointments and unwillingness to make additional sacrifices in the delivery of the door, I received his solution before the end of the day. Prepare yourself for this.Martin Solution: Pay an additional $268 minimum (final cost to be determined later) to have an another company deliver the shipment. Thats $768.00 minimum, and I must agree to be responsible for any additional monies required by the additional company. This is for a 3-week delivery of a small steel garage door.Day 46: The door arrives. Third day taken off work.More details coming soon.
Great place to work and buy your garage doors
So theres Martin Door and theres Martin Factory Sales and Service.Martin Door has been building quality garage doors since 1936. They relocated to Utah decades ago and sell only through a dealer network. Theyve got lots of competition but they fill a niche for discerning homeowners who care about quality.Martin Factory Sales and Service is a department within Martin Door. They sell, install and service their doors manufactured on 2828 South 900 West, primarily along the Wasatch Front and Back. Theyve got a great showroom, awesome web site and helpful staff that will get you the garage door of your dreams.I just had them install a Cornerstone model with Steel Pinnacle insulated windows. I was replacing a 30-year old Martin Door that came with the house I purchased in 2011 but the bottom section had a bunch of dents from the previous homeowners son who had used the inside of the garage as a skateboard park. This door screams quality and craftsmanship! Safety features abound. What really sets the door apart is all the little things a typical homeowner wouldnt give much thought to. The gauge of the steel is considerably thicker than their competitors. The track and mounting brackets are far superior than their competitors. The nylon rollers make for smooth operation. The springs that balance the door are rated for 30,000 cycles. I will likely be dead before they need to be replaced. The installers each have been with Martin for 30+ years. Seriously, how could you possibly go wrong with these guys? There was a time you could buy a Martin Door through Home Depot or Lowes. Those days are gone because of Clopay nudging out their competition. Ask an old timer at either department store which brand of door was better. There really isnt any comparison.
More custom options than any other garage door!
I inherited a Martin garage door opener in a new house that I bought and was not given any remotes to open the garage. Since universal remotes do not work with these systems, I have called the service department of the company to ask some questions and try to figure out what my options are.Ive left 4 messages over the course of 2 weeks and Ive never been responded too. Ive been on hold multiple times and then pushed to a voicemail after holding for 20 minutes.Still in limbo trying to figure out if I can get remotes that work or if I need to replace the opener....
Best of the best.
Waited on hold on the phone for an extremely long time never any answer drove there but wasnt sure I could get the part I needed waited a long time at the desk finally talked to someoneReceptionist in her cell phone when I was there think employees are glad not to have customers they said not getting anyone on the phone is common
