They have authentic Japanese sharpening stones for your new amazing knife. And all the cool things a wicked sharp Japanese knife needs. Very friendly and accommodating even for someone like me that has a limited knowledge of knifes. They will walk you through the subtitles of these great, Last a lifetime knifes. I was in the market for wet stones and wanted to check out this knife shop to support local businesses. The owner (or at least who I assumed to be the owner) was quick to great me and was very attentive to my needs. He was very knowledgeable about the products he carried and even went as far as to share the brand’s story. Needless to say I am very happy and impressed with both my purchase and the shop itself, even though I went the DIY route (I prefer to sharpen my own knives) I have never used better or higher quality wet stones and my knives are the sharpest they have ever been in the nearly 10 years I have owned them. I will be doing business here again as well as referring my own cooks and chef friends. Thank You!

Had a kitchen knife and a pair of scissors we needed sharpened. The owner opened the store a bit early to accommodate our schedule, which I really appreciated. He did a remarkable job on the knife -- sharpened it by hand with a whetstone -- and told us frankly that the scissors didnt need sharpening. Professional, honest service at a price that was more than fair.

This place has some of the finest knives you can buy for a reasonable price that you want in your kitchen. You will probably not find a better place to get your knives sharpened, but you will pay for what you get. For knives of lesser quality you can get a less expensive sharpening, not Stone and stropping. For the chef there are aprons and other dress to make you look as professional are you are. The quality cost at a cost besides money, you may have to wait for the knife to be shipped from the master knife makers in Japan. It is worth the trip for those who know quality knives.

This guy was awesome! I brought in an odd type of blade to see if it was possible to sharpen it. He not only sharpened the blade but also provided some tips on how to keep the edge in good condition. Excellent customer service! Definitely going back with every blade I own!

Hudson really knows his craft. He took my dull, but beloved knives, inherited from my chef father, and made them like new. He spent the time to discuss how to care for them and offered advice on additional knives we might want to own. First rate hand craftsmanship at a very reasonable price. Hudson is incredible. I brought in 5 of my super high end combat knives and he completed them 3 days faster than he quoted. These things are sharper than when they were new. Since that factory was Wüsthof, I consider that to be very impressive.Not only did he do an excellent job, for a fair price, he explained what he did, why he did so, and what I can do in the future to keep things sharp and safe.I would definitely recommend patronage, and will certainly be returning in the future.

I had 4 knives, one that is 20 years old, that had never been sharpened. One was worn flat in a spot, he sharpened them all to better than new and I was super stoked to use them this week. I will definitely take them to Utah Knife Shop again.

Ive been using entry level knives for a couple years, and decided it was time to upgrade. I wanted to get some extremely high quality, but unique knives. After some googling, I found UKS and stopped through. Great prices, awesome service (and education about the differences between the knives I was looking at). I left with the first knife in my upgrade plan!

UKS is an awesome little shop. Owner is friendly and informative. The prices are great, especially considering the quality work. He sharpened some of my parents old Cutco knives and they came back cutting great! I had him sharpen my Dovo Bismarck straight razor, my shaves are luxurious now. When my Wusthof, Shun, and Miyabi kitchen knives are in need of sharpening Ill for sure take them here!!!

I’ve gotten my knives sharpened here and so far they still have their edge after using it behind the line for 2 and half weeks.(*been cutting avocados, sushi rolls, fish, meat, non stop)Usually I sharpen my knives on my whetstones every week, but it seems I still got awhile to get on this level. When it comes to knives there is no better place in the state of Utah I would rather go. Hudson the owner is one of the friendliest guys I’ve meet and is always happy to go above and beyond. I bought my first nice knife from him almost 3 years ago and have brought it by the shop just to ask some questions about maintenance and general questions related to sharpening and he is always happy to give his expert advice and take a look at my knife.
