Big Tane at Cars Sold for Cash was fantastic! When my son went off-roading in his Chevy Cavelier, hit a rock and broke his oil pan then drove it 7 miles tho the nearest paved road without oil, we thought it was a total loss. With a blown engine, we figured we would have to pay someone to haul it away. Not only did he get paid cash for the car, but Tane towed away free of charge!

While driving to Park City, my car started having issues with the breaks. I managed to get it to the Ford Dealership there in town and was told it would be 2-3 weeks before they could get to it. At the three week mark, I received a call informing me that both the break booster and the break pump were bad and they would order the parts. Two weeks later I received another call informing me that a bolt in my cam shaft had snapped! With all of these parts and labor adding up, the mechanic suggested I might as well purchase a whole new engine for 8k.Now this car was almost paid off and this was a possibility, however they couldn’t give me a time frame due to a part shortage. This was devastating news, and the stress of having to find rides or borrowing a car from family wasn’t helping.I eventually ‘at around the 8 week mark’ decided to start looking at alternate option. My husband and I live in Florida and our sons car had engine problems in Utah. The repair shop determined that we needed to replace the engine which, because it was a 2006 Grand Cherokee, really wasnt feasible as it would cost over $8k for a new engine. Let me start by saying that my car is in great condition, it ran well and had nothing wrong with it. But it was old. 2002 Chevy trailblazer. I was moving and couldn’t take my car because there was no space for it at my new place. Seen all the amazing reviews for this company and decided to call... guy on the phone seemed bored and uninterested. Offered me $100, I accepted seeing as I was in a crunch for time and couldn’t sell it myself. He told me he would call/text me back to confirm details since he was very busy. I told him that it was fine, since it was Saturday, I didn’t mind too much. He never got back to me.I decided to call again on Monday and was once again met with the uninterested tone. Same guy which I am now learning is the owner, Tane. ( I guess I should’ve known better by now.) He got all my details down this time and said somebody would come out and get my car. I waited that whole day and nobody came. It is now Tuesday and he finally calls me back to ask if I am with my vehicle, I tell him yes and he told me that they weren’t on their way yet but they were just making sure. I again, waited that whole day and nobody came. I would of appreciated if he just told me that he wasn’t interested.Needless to say I called a different company and they offered me 3x more for my car. And the best part, they picked it up that same day.
