These guys are awesome! Cory and John were so kind and transparent throughout the whole process. They’re an honest group of dudes that genuinely want to help and their prices felt fair. Truthfully, I expected to pay hundreds more than I did so I’m grateful for them fixing my car and getting it back to me in a day and a half. Finding a good, kind, honest mechanic is not easy but I feel like I lucked out with this shop.
Been looking for a good mechanic in SLC and finally found it! These guys are awesome.. upfront, helpful, affordable. Go here!
Red Rock just earned a new customer! They diagnosed my problem, gave me an accurate and very affordable quote and got to work! They even let me know of some other things that I need to come back amd fix! Mike was very communicative, and upfront about what he found!
I had my truck towed there with some engine issues. Mike and team were so professional and honest. They diagnosed the issue and gave me options on the repair and helped me find the best deal on parts which were hard to find. They were so courteous and my truck runs great now. I don’t live in Utah but wish I had this shop in my city. Thank you Mike and team!
Mike is a pleasure to do business with. He treats you with respect and gives you a clear, honest overview of the work he does/needs to do. He diagnosed and fixed a mysterious suspension clunk Ive been having issues with on my CR-V, one thats stumped both myself and a few other mechanics. Should have just brought it to him sooner!
I just recently moved to SLC and needed an auto repair shop for my cars. Its so hard to find an honest mechanic but Mike is dependable, honest and operates his family business with integrity. The team in his shop is friendly, kind, helpful and extremely knowledgeable! Vehicle problems are stressful enough, but rest assured Mike and his team makes it painless and will find the source of the problem. Their prices are great! I first went there after being impressed with the reviews online, and I have to say they were 100% CORRECT. These guys are true mechanics! I will only be taking both of my cars to Red Rock Auto Repair going further.I highly recommend Red Rock Auto without hesitation to everyone that needs their car repaired!! Thank you!!
These guys are fantastic! Very trustworthy mechanics, they have very clear communication, and the quality of the work they do is both fast and high-quality. Plus, I live a couple blocks away from them, so dropping off my car is a breeze. I have gone to them several times, and each time the mechanics know me by name, provide excellent service and a decent price.Would highly recommend these guys if you live in South Salt Lake!
Mike & Red Rock Auto are awesome. I was going to a different mechanic before, and got hit with a laundry list of issues totaling almost 4k that werent there when the same mechanic had taken a look less than 5 months prior. I went to Mike for a second opinion. He took a look at my Forester and within the day let me know that my car was in great shape except for only 2 necessary repairs compared to the 5-6 Id heard from the last place. He was honest, explained everything so I knew what was up, and even let me know which things needed to be fixed ASAP and which I could wait on, which I appreciated a bunch as a grad student who wasnt looking forward to paying for a ton of repairs all at once. These guys are my new go-tos, theyre amazing!
Man who answered the phone complained that he couldnt hear me then mocked my feminine voice saying I cant help you with your little pilot (my car is a honda pilot) derogatory and unprofessional
Great service, good prices and honest crew. Thanks
New in town and our aging Prius required a three way coolant valve replacement followed by a tricky bleeding of the coolant system. Mike and his guys came through, and the Prius is functioning quite well. Mike was very courteous and provided thorough information on how they approached and repaired the problem.
I will always be coming here from here on out. Other dealerships turned me away because of the difficulty of my car’s problem but these guys welcomed it, despite their very busy schedule already, and did a wonderful job! Thank you!
John and Mike at Red Rock Auto were lifesavers for me and my Jeep XJ as I discovered a coolant leak on a cross country trip. New radiator, thermostat and water pump install in less than 24 hours while saving me hundreds of dollars vs a big auto chains diagnosis and estimate. I wouldnt hesitate to go to them again if in the area and am thankful for their good work and grateful for their help. Thanks guys!
Great work - twice! They replaced a transmission in my van and 1 year into the 3 year warranty I had problems. They worked hard to get another transmission installed with no issues, no hassles, and no extra cost. They honored everything and fixed extras during the first repair. They had to pull the engine and do extensive work and did so with precision twice, honoring the warranty 100%. Ill go back!!
Very honest. Bill the owner is a great guy and the work performed by his mechanics is done right. Thanks guys
Called them about a car I was interested in purchasing. I live in Colorado and asked if they could squeeze it in, which they did. Got back to me with several, expensive issues on the vehicle. Have to say they saved me a bunch of money on a car that needed a lot of money. GREAT VALUE, VERY PROFESSIONAL! Thank you!
Mike and his guy really knew their stuff and even though it was busy got my car to me the next day this was my first time bring my car from what I gather from this is that this is an honest mechanic try them out
I’ve been going to Red Rock auto for years and have had nothing but good experiences. Shoutout to Mike and John for keeping my Toyota running like a champ!
Red Rock is AMAZING!! Where to even start! They are so honest and fast. They know European cars and fixed three leaks in my mini in two days. I could tell they knew their stuff and were able to save me lots of money! Mike is so friendly and great to work with. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Friendly, but poor communication at least.
Polite phone call. Knowledgeable. They couldnt fit my van on their lift. Ill try next time with my other car.
Really impressed with Red Rock Auto. I had to have my fuel pump, tires, alignment, AC condenser and lights replaced on my Honda accord. I chose them after the dealership gave me a prohibitively expensive quote. Not only did Red Rock do it for a fraction of the cost but Mike called me to update me on what needed to be done, what the cost would be and any possible alternatives. A couple weeks later my check engine light came on and I took it to OReilly to check the code before taking it to the shop (in case it was something that could wait cuz money) and the lady told me it was a pricey fix. I took it in to Red Rock and Mike says hed check it and let me know. He says he ran several tests and could find nothing wrong but replaced a cap in case that was the issue. $8 versus the $400-$600 it could have been in repairs. I highly recommend this shop and the fine gentlemen working in it. I found them to be honest, communicative and fairly priced.
I moved here by myself 6 years ago and with that lost a dependable, honest mechanic (my uncle). As a gal that knows very little about cars it would be very easy for a mechanic to take advantage and advise pricey and unnecessary fixes, but I have never felt that from this shop. When I bring my car to them and describe the issue I have, they listen intently and ask questions to help diagnose the issue the best they can. Even when I cannot explain the problem well, they assure me that they will check the car head to toe to figure it out. Any work they do is completely necessary and done with absolute care. The staff is warm and welcoming, and I can tell they really care about their clients. I have felt well taken care of every time I leave their shop. I am so thankful to have found this shop, thank you Red Rock Auto!
Great place to take your car to. Being going there for years.
They were fantastic to work with. They got the job done a day earlier than promised and the work was high end. I appreciated their professionalism and the process was very easy.
Been going here for 3ish years. John and Mike are cool guys who always help me out. Its tough to find a good mechanic, but these guys are it.
Took a vehicle into red rock for a blue certified Inspection. Even though they were busy they were still able to accommodate me quickly. Went over the report with me thoroughly and gave me the peace of mind to purchase the vehicle. Easy process.
Mike was extremely opened minded and helpful with what could have been wrong with my Jeep. He let me explain what I had thought was going on even though I probably was not even close to knowing what I was talking about. On top of that he was really great with communication and keeping up on updates with the work that was being done. Overall it was a great price, great experience, and a speedy repair. Thank you red Rock auto .
These guys are great. I came I needing a lot of suspension work and kind of fast. They got it all done in a day and stayed in communication with me the whole time. Mike and John were so accommodating and really saved my Jeep. And the work was great! My 13 year old rides like a new toy again. Thank you!
Great service on Volvos. Mike is very knowledgeable. And if they cant get your car back to you when you need it, theyll let you know instead of promising you a time and then delaying. Top notch outfit.
These guys are awesome! I moved to Salt lake 4 years ago and I havent found a good mechanic I trust until I went to Red Rock Auto. John and Mike are knowledgeable, helpful and not pushy. I took my car there after going to two other shops and asked them to double check the costs and repairs. They ended up saving me money by not performing unnecessary work and they even came it at lower prices. As a broke grad student I appreciated them looking for the best deals for parts, helping to shave hours off and also explaining all the repairs before doing them. I was also blown away at how fast the repairs went. I will definitely be back and I have told numerous friends to go there. All around great guys and great work. They also kept my parts to show me the condition they were in and explained how/why they needed to be replaced
I had them replace the starter in my corolla. They did a fantastic job. Super friendly and helpful. They also were able to get me in the day of as my original plan was to use a mobile mechanic who flaked. They did it for a very reasonable price and I have the piece of mind of quality work. I would highly recommend Red rock auto! Great service! After moving to salt lake a year ago I can confidently say I have found my new mechanic! Thanks John and team!-KevinAugust 31, 2015
I have been going to Red Rock Auto for at least 10 years. I have always been impressed with how kind and helpful they are, not to mention honest. They have always walked me through all of my repairs, and shown me the old parts, and given me options for the best way to go about the fixes. I truly appreciate this as I know nothing about cars! I also have to say that John ALWAYS goes above and beyond to make sure Im safe on the road.
I reached out for a quote and there was a very quick response and a pretty good price, but I wasnt able to take it in for a month due to financial reasons and when I called to take it in, the employee Josh (I believe that was his name) was a little rude over the phone. I shrugged it off as if he was just having a bad day. I then reached out through email again and waited for a response on whether I could take it in the next week and get a quote on some other things. They never responded to me. So I took my car somewhere else.My wife heard the phone call with Josh as I had him on speaker and she pointed out that he was pretty impatient and rude in his responses. Maybe just a bad day, but I would suggest being a little more courteous. Especially when I wasnt being rude or anything.Edit: thank you for your response, I will bump the rating to 4 stars.
Yesterday, out of the clear blue, my truck started acting like it was missing and starving for gas. One call to Mike, he recommended a very reasonable towing company. By 4pm they had my truck. Around noon today, Mike called to say everything was fine. A hose has slipped off and caused a vacuum leak. My bill, was for the towing... So I had them install a new battery for me. Their honesty, friendliness, and quick service is unheard of.Last year I took my truck to a FORD dealer. They hooked it up to a machine and charged me $100, to tell me nothing was wrong!!!I HIGHLY recommend Red Rock Auto Repair. And will be getting ALL my future services there. Thanks Mike & John... see you guys again.
I have had several maintenance issues as well as routine maintenance needs with my Jeep over the past few months and these guys have taken care of everything. I have a complicated schedule as I work 12 hour day shifts at the hospital and Mike helped me not only get my vehicle to their shop, but set me up to pick it up after hours. They get all the work done at what they quote, and within the timeline they project.Bottom line: Their communication is great, costs are reasonable and quality of work is excellent. I would recommend their service to anyone.
Super friendly and fast. Seems very honest. Fair prices.
They say theyre open til 6pm, but they wont let you bring your car in at 4:00 or 5:00 - even for something simple like changing out the taillights. They always want you to bring your car in in the morning and leave it there all day or bring it in the night before and leave it for a day or two.So this might be a good place if youre a 2 or 3 car family and can go without one of your cars for awhile, but if youre a one car family - this is not the garage for you.
If you go to another mechanic in Salt Lake your crazy. I have been taking both of our cars to John for over 10 years and have never had a problem. They are very honest and very competitive in price as well. I have been recommending John and Red Rock to my family and friends and they all feel the same way about him and the quality of work you get.11/27/2013They fought a dispute with my warranty company who originally turned it down and saved me thousands of dollars and I never had to get involved. If you want to deal with an honest mechanic/shop you need to use Red Rock!
I blew a shock on a bump on freeway construction. A friend recommended Red Rock, and they seemed to have good online reviews. I called and talked to Mike. He specifically mentioned hed call around to get a good price on parts, and that they could have in fixed within a couple of days. He called me later saying he got a good price ($260 ea.) on a shock / coil assembly, and I gave him the go ahead to do the work. They got the job done quick, but I decided to check a major online auto parts site just to check prices. There were about 5 compatible options listed for shock / coil assemblies for my car, ranging from $60 low to $125 high. Which means I was WAY overcharged ($270 - $400 total) for parts (not including the $100/hour labor).post edit: I had issues less than a year later and decided to take my car to the Mazda Dealership. They said whoever performed the prior work did not do it correctly.
Weve taken our cars to John for years; hes always done a great job and been very honest & fair! His shop manager and I had some communication challenges last week which resulted in me leaving a poor google review and opting to take our business elsewhere. Since then John called, owned the mistake and apologized. He was the bigger man and did what I believe only someone whos truly committed to their customers would do.Thank you John for great service over the years! I highly recommend Red Rock Auto!
I visited with my 99 Jeep Cherokee. They finally fixed a problem 2 other mechanics couldnt solve. Its easy to fix, but hard to find, they explained. The place is a little hole in the wall, but thats probably why their prices are so reasonable. From my description alone, they guessed the problem was one of three areas and provided a basic estimate and detailed what would be involved to fix each. They easily identified shorted out wires and did a tune up, replacing spark plugs, rotor, and distributor cap. That was problem number 1. They then drove the car around a second time with their laptop connected (that has the same automotive software as the dealership) and waited for my car to throw a code when it next misfired. It did, and it happened to be the cheapest of the three possible problems they identified: a faulty crank sensor. The actual cost was under their lowest estimate, just a few hundred dollars. The previous two trips to mechanics who couldnt fix this problem resulted in a thousand or more in necessary repairs. Great communicators every step of the way. And nice, too. So glad my Jeep is running as good as it ever did. When I said I had an old car to repair, they laughed and said, 1999 isnt old. Love it.
Found out the guys here lovingly called my car a Monster (for good reason). No matter the problem that presented itself, they fixed it and kept in contact with with me the entire time to keep me updated. So so grateful for working so hard on my car. Thanks!
John and Mike at Red Rock Auto Repair are awesome! They are honest and straightforward. They absolutely saved us on 2 used cars that we thought that we wanted to purchase...advising us to steer clear of the purchase, saved us a huge headache and hundreds of dollars. Thanks guys!
These men are amazing! Always get the job done quickly and effieciently. Their customer service here is top notch and I trust them with my vehicle, which is hard to do these days. Prices are reasonable and overall they rock! Thanks guys for all you do.
I have been using Red Rock Auto for several years. John & his team are all professionals & very good at explaining what the problem is, and doing just the work that needs to be done. He just finished installing a supercharger on one of my cars, and last year rebuilt a motorcycle engine for me. These are big jobs, but Johns ability & professionalism make it an easy choice to use Red Rock Auto Repair. Thank you John!
I like to do as much work as possible on my project car, but there are some jobs that either arent worth investing in a new tool (either from a price or garage space perspective.) Finding a trustworthy shop to handle those situations is huge. I brought these guys some disassembled parts, and they did the work I needed for a reasonable price and even gave me some pointers on things I might have overlooked when reinstalling. That kind of service is becoming increasingly rare nowadays. This place should be on your shop local list.
My four wheel drive on my truck went out. I brought it to Red Rock Auto and they were fantastic. They easily found part of the problem and did not rest until they found the rest of the problem. John and Mike were extremely polite and informative. I will definitely be returning the next time I need any repair.
Honest, skilled, and helpful. Great guys who are ready to be of the utmost help. Bent over backwards to ensure I was getting the best service possible. Will be going back and referring everyone I know for as long as I live here in Utah. John and Mike made a frustrating situation into an incredibly smooth experience.
Red rock is the ONLY place to take you vehicle. All of our family have been taking our cars to John since he opened his doors. He is a true master of his trade. He has and will work on any make or model. He is easy to work with and very friendly. He doesnt just fix your problems but he takes the time to show you his work and any other problems or potential problems. And he will explain to you in common English what they are. We are so happy to have his business in this city and give him all of ours. Thanks John!!!
John, Mike and crew are among the best in the automotive service and repair industry! I work with a lot of repair shops along the Wasatch Front and would not hesitate to refer family and friends to Red Rock! If you want honest, dependable, knowledgable and fast service, these guys are among the best!
These guys are great! Friendly, helpful, and always looking for the best, most economical way to get you back on the road. I bring in both my 1990 Jeep and my 2008 Subaru, and Ive been pleased with the service on both cars. Red Rock is a true gem.
I had a great experience at Red Rock Auto. They took time to explain in laymans terms what went wrong with my car and went over the invoice item by item with me so I knew where each charge came from. Also, they had a very quick turn around! My car is running like a dream now and I look forward to doing business with them again in the future.
I almost dont want to rave about these guys because I consider them my sweet little secret. But I want them to get the credit they deserve. They are honest, considerate mechanics and repairmen. I wont go anywhere else.
Red Rock is a solid, trustworthy shop. I needed extensive repairs on a 4WD vehicle, and Mike and John did a good job of showing exactly what needed to be done, and what the options were for other repairs that could wait. The job was expensive due to the nature of the work (front end and new differential, etc), but the truck rides great and I have confidence it was done well at a fair price. Im new to the area so its nice to have found a good reliable shop, and I plan to bring my cars here for work in the future because I can trust the work.
My jeep broke down. Several jeep old timers I had asked had told me that I was looking at a major problem (torque converter problem, etc.) or I thought my transmission was toast. I towed it to Red Rock based off their google reviews. Mike and John did a thorough inspection and identified a blown transmission line. They were able to fix it within a couple hours and saved me a bunch compared to what the dealer would charge. They also identified and brought to my attention 2 or 3 minor problems that I can fix on my own. A good, honest, and fair-priced mechanic is tough to come by. I was very appreciative of my service and will be a repeat customer for my future major car repair needs.
After I stupidly broke my power window trying to roll it down covered in ice, Mike at Red Rock was the first person I called who didnt treat me like an idiot. He was also the first person who didnt try to convince me that I definitely needed to replace every conceivable part before even looking at it.They got the part super fast and made the repair quickly. I will definitely be back for whatever else inevitably happens and will recommend them to my family and friends.
Really good experience. They did not try to do any repair work that didnt need to be done, cleared every thing with me first, were great at communicating what they found and what the fixes needed to be. I will definitely use them again.
Mike and John are just awesome. They know what customer service is all about and that’s why I choose them over anywhere else. For as long as I own a vehicle, I will continue to be a patron of Red Rock Auto.-Paul G.
We are from out out town and had our check engine light on, so we stopped by unannounced. They finished there lunch, got us right in to diagnose the issue. Thankfully it was not a crippling issue. They cleared our codes, filled up our tires and now on our way back to Boise. Thanks Mike!
Excellent service, honest work. John had kept my 79 car running great for years. Has only done repairs that are necessary. Mike or John will call to say what the problems are, what needs to be done, what it might cost. When I pick up my car, John will explain what he did, show me the old parts, give me suggestions on what to do to keep my car running many more years.Several years ago I had foggy headlights, John traced the problem to how the rain was draining down the hood track into the headlights. No more foggy headlights. When I see someone with foggy headlight, I feel like leaving a note saying Go See Red Rock Auto!
The guys at Redrock have been fantastic! They diagnosed an issue that two other repair shops (including a dealer) couldn’t find - it would take the time to look further! They bend over backwards to watch the cost of repairs and have been more than fair! Our whole family will now go to Redrock. NO MORE BURT BROTHERS for us!!!
Took in my 09 forester for oil change. They were great very thorough and checked everything out. Answered all my questions and showed me the oil additive they use and how it works. Will be a return customer for sure. They know subarus really well.
They were friendly and fast! I will definitely be back when I need any future help with my vehicles.
They are awesome. Friendly, honest. Didnt over charge. They fit us in, and got us out quickly. I highly recommend this shop.
Ive been a loyal customer of Red Rock for years. John is generous with his time and attention, helping me to understand the issues and make decisions that I feel good about later. Ive recommended Red Rock to several friends and have always heard positive reports.
Went to these guys after talking with BMW regarding an A/C repair. They fixed it in no time and now it works perfectly. They didnt mess me around. Told me upfront what was wrong without giving me the runaround. Staff were polite. Had a less than $200 bill whereas BMW wanted to charge me $2500- 3000. Will definitely come back.
I would give negative stars if I could. These guys shouldnt be allowed to call themselves mechanics, its false advertising. They replaced my engine, cost me $12,000. $10,000 for the engine and $2000 for the rental car for over a month. But before they replaced my engine they charged me for a tune up on a dead engine. What kind of mechanic tunes up a dead engine and then says oh sorry that didnt fix it but thanks for the money They advised me at that point to replace the engine but there is a chance it could be fixable so I took that chance and wasted another $200. When I finally got it back it is very hard to start and it runs rough. They told me there can only be one thing causing that problem, it has to be the fuel pressure regulator so they replaced it. It happened again, same problem, took my car in and left it for another day, lost another day of work. They replaced the pressure regulator again (since that is the only thing it can be) It happened again and again and each time they replaced the pressure regulator. I am not a mechanic but I know engines can have many different problems other than a bad pressure regulator. Well its happening again and now its overheating as well! What did I pay for?!?! I am not taking it back to the jokers at Red Rock auto to have my pressure regulator replaced again. I have never encountered a bad pressure regulator, they last forever and suddenly even the new ones are all bad?!? I dont think so. There has got to be something else wrong with my new engine and its not the pressure regulator. This time I will take it to an actual mechanic, not Red Rock. Every time I have taken my car to Red Rock auto they returned it to me with no A/C. Now I am an expert on A/C because of them but I am getting tired of fixing my A/C every time I go to Red Rock auto. Good mechanics dont fix one problem and cause another. In my case they didnt fix the problem but they did cause 2 others - No A/C and it overheats now. I paid them $10,000 for $100,000 worth of frustration! Okay so I took my Jeep to Mastertech and they determined the head gasket is bad on my new engine, coolant is leaking into cylinder 4. If Red Rock would have considered that other things can be wrong besides the pressure regulator they could have found and solved the problem. But since Red Rock are not mechanics but merely pressure regulator technicians they couldnt do that. I will never go to Red Rock again! Red Rock are not good mechanics, they are cartoon mechanics like you would expect to see on a comical cartoon portraying inept mechanics. I see they are complaining that I failed to give the go ahead and pay for the new engine in a timely manner - not true - I gave them the go ahead and paid them immediately as soon as they asked and it still took over a month to repair my vehicle. Then they valiantly replaced my A/C hoses for no labor charge (hoses that had no problem before) This time the problem was no oil in the compressor. When you drain and refill the refrigerant you have to top off the oil in the compressor - they didnt do that. I was wondering why my engine almost died every time my A/C kicked on. They said I opted for rebuilt injectors rather than new? They are the ones who recommended the rebuilt injectors. Thats not the problem anyway
We originally went there to have a car looked over before purchasing it. The man who Im assuming was the owner, John, personally came out and looked at it before doing a full auto check so that if he could see problems on the surface he wouldnt do the full auto check and save us money, he immediately saw problems and advised us against purchasing the car and didnt charge us a thing. Another time I called to get a quote on another car repair, he gave me some good advice on what I could do to fix the problem without bringing it in, it worked and he saved us another 350.00 dollars. I have been so pleased with their service and honesty. I highly recommend them!
Got them to do my timing belt and all other belts since they would have to take them off anyways. When I picked up my car the belts were not changed, and the price was the same. Makes me wonder if they ever did the timing belt. Sucks, because I dont know if I can trust these guys. Big-o tire did the belts 3 months later.
The owner is very rude and will leave youre vehicle unlocked the whole time he has it, in his extremely overcrowded puny parking lot. Holes cut in the fence perfect for a thief to stroll right in and steal youre stuff and he could care less. Tried multiple times to get my car in 3 weeks after that I got sick of his lame a$$ excuses. Took my vehicle to the dealer and they were awesome, go to Larry H Miller they will take care of you QUICK and fair.
Wow, these guys are horrible! They charged me 50% more than dealer for the parts, then didnt bleed the clutch correctly, then got defensive about having done the work perfectly. I had to take it to another shop to get it done correctly. Stay away
Mike took the best care of my Jeep. I felt like I was in great hands and my Jeep now drives better than when I first bought it. I will only go to red rock auto repairs for my car needs.
Every time I take my car into John I am extremely pleased. Not only are they honest but they are so through that When I leave I know my car is better than it ever could be.Thanks John and Mike you guys rock!!!
Took my car in for a leaking hose. They took care of the problem same day and gave me the best price. Fast, friendly, and honest. I will definitely be going back
My van broke down when I was 3 states away from home. They fit me in that morning & gave me great prices. They also showed me the broken parts and gave me recommendations for sight seeing! They treated me like family!
They go above and beyond to check your car out to make sure there aren’t underlying or missed problems. They are straight forward and kind about everything and I highly recommend!
Love John and the crew. Been taking care of us for many years now.
Great experience with Red Rock. Friendly, knowledgeable, fast and honest. I highly recommended them.
Took my car in here because it was leaking coolant, and they repaired my tubes instead of flat out replacing. These guys are great, been using them for years! Would not take my car anywhere else.
This guy is honest and represents quality. Go and support his business.
A very honest and trustworthy company. I will be taking all my vehicles there from now on.
Good honest hardworking auto shop!!They take care of their customers!!Thank you John and Mike!!
They answered every question I had, and did a very thorough diagnosis. I have no complaints, the price was fair
These guys will take care of you and save you money. They are awesome!
Always got good thorough service. Honest guy. Cares about his customers.
Been taking both of our cars here for years. There honest and great mechanics.
Diagnosed and fixed my car in the same day. Nice guys too.
I took our car to a local subaru specialist that wanted a large amount to fix a catalytic converter after doing the 90k mile service. So i took it to the guys over at Red Rock Auto Repair for a 2nd opinion. Upon arrival John greeted me and came over to check out my vehicle. He explained that while my particular car preferred the OEM part for the cat, he may be able to make a universal one fit in order to save me some money. He also brought to my attention a major oil leak problem in the engine. Generally you wouldnt want a mechanic telling you that more needs to be done to your car after bringing it in for a 2nd opinion, but in this case John saved me even more money down the road for catching this. The other shop didnt even mention this issue even AFTER doing the 90k service and looking at my cat....this could have ruined my engine if left unchecked since the gaskets had failed and would eventually leak coolant into the cylinders. I wont trust my vehicles with another shop after my initial visit. They also fixed my cloudy headlamps and made them look brand new, totally changed the way the front end of the car looks. Thanks guys!
IT IS REFRESHING and reassuring to find an auto mechanic who is trustworthy, dependable, and friendly! The guys at Red Rock are obviously proud of the work they do and of their ability to make customers feel welcome and appreciated. They will take the time to explain otherwise complicated and boring concepts and procedures in such a way as to make customers feel involved, educated, and motivated to better care for their cars--and thus to want to be better drivers. I have been taking cars to them for over ten years--85 Toyota Landcruiser; 94 Acura Vigor; 2000 Ford F250; 2003 VW Passat. And as my kids learned to drive I had them accompany me to the Red Rocks garage so they could learn what its like to work with good, honest mechanics. I always recommend Red Rock. There is no better mechanic in the Salt Lake City area. --RGH--March 8, 2012
If you want a mechanic fix whats wrong with your vehicle without gouging you or making unnecessary repairs these should be your first choice. Best shop in salt lake.
Good solid mechanic. Very knowledgeable.
This is the worst olace to take your car. They will rip you off!
Took my boyfriends car here, the man who helped us was very up-front and honest with the time frame required and what repairs needed to be done.
Love how fast they are!!
John will tell overcharge you and will try to tell you that you need things fixed that really dont. Be sure to get a second opinion before you let this guy tear your car apart.
Thorough, honest work at an honest fair price.
Honest quality work
