Paul, William, and Chris took very good care of me and my car. As many others, I have had a very hard year. On top of the pandemic, struggles with balancing forced first grade online learning as a working single mother, I also fled domestic violence, relocated my family, and divorced my abuser. I rely on my vehicle to commute to work and provide for my family. I need it to work and be reliable and safe. The folks at Midas worked on my car and kept me up to date on the things that needed to be done. Paul, the owner, even drive me to a car rental shop so I could rent a car while the repairs were being done. There was a misunderstanding that occurred with my bank when I went to pay for the service. This very, very frustrating moment was something that was outside of all of our control, just one of those things that happened on a weekend. Once again, Paul, the owner and William/Chris the managers worked together to help formulate a plan to get me back into my car and arrange a different, but agreed upon payment option.Quality work is one thing. And, these guys definitely gave me that. But, they did SO much more. They truly served me and my family, and in so doing, theyve earned my trust and my patronage. Definitely recommend!
I just like the people at this location. They’re so nice and helpful, so I like going there first when it’s possible. The service is stellar, wait was a little long for an oil change with appointment, but they were amusing enough that it wasn’t much of an annoyance.
Minus minus know how to do a job they do great work they took care of my car O2 sensor
Came in at 2pm ( had an appointment) 3 hours later Im still waiting for work to be done on rear breaks. Wrong parts were ordered the parts truck from Nampa had to drop off 3 times !!! The mechanic doing the work moves slow, wandering around waiting for parts and was really taking his time. Im very tempted to go ask him if I need to help him. Seems to be too much for this shop. Walk in the shop to walk out ... 4 hrs 15 min.THERE IS NO WAY I will ever come back to this shop!!!
Took two of my suburbans in there for oil changes. They performed as promised and I was happy with the service.
I’m reviewing a website on google maps? It was and okay website, nothing special. Just comparing oil change prices.
Dont waste your time. These guys are so dishonest! I came in to change my oil, I paid for high millage oil change and did not bother to check if they actually changed it. A month later I checked and I was so sad to see that the oil level was very low and oil color was very bad. I have driven the car that much. I went there and they offered adding some oil, instead of doing the oil change service I paid for. I had to go somewhere else to get a fresh oil change done. These guys are super dishonest! Theyll ruin your car.
They lack professional skills and change quote once customer agrees to have cars repaired. When I checked with other stores, I found out they offered me 3 times as much as a regular estimate for replacing a plastic over the wheel. I am never going there.
My steering is still difficult to maneuver a quote after repair for rack and pinion was supposed to be the cause the original diagnosis didnt have only pump and two hoses under 950:with coupon. Thanks Tuesday the mechanic was not working. Its tough to say I feel upset but the van I own is a 98 and I just bought it three weeks ago from deen clark another purchase from him with some mechanical stuff not known. Thanks for getting me back on the road.
Staff is informed and professional! They didnt try and scare me into paying for something more than just the oil change I went in for. Got me in on time for my appointment and they were quick!
Figured it was time for a brake pad replacement on our van. They inspected everything and told me it all looks good. No charge! Any other mechanic would have found something to do and charged me for it. Super friendly staff and honest. Will definitely give them my business in the future.
Literally the nicest and most professional people I have met! They did exactly as I needed and were very well informed.
I wrote a review titled Unbelievable but True yesterday after taking my car to Midas on 2100 South and 845 East in S.L.C. I had a very bad experience and I reflected that in my review.Later that day their manager named William called me and asked me what he could do to Make it right.I just want my car fixed so that is what I told him. So we set an appointment for the next morning. But after contemplating the whole situatrion I decided that I didnt want them to work on my car.Its a Mustang GT and I love it.So when I went to the appointment the next morning William was there and waiting for me. He was friendly, understanding and patient as I explaned my thoughts and situation. Even telling me that he had done some research on my problem. But I just couldnt get over the disrespect that their mechanic showed me the day ealier. So I told him that I know that their time is valuable and since they did spend some time looking at my car. So being that I felt that if he would refund half, half of my money I would be satisfied and neither one of us lose to much. He gladly accepted my offer and proceeded to do it. I think that he would of given me a full refund but I am not greedy and they did look.So in the end I parted ways with that paticular Midas not mad, but not happy either. But I feel that it is my obligation to update my review and give William the credit he deserves. He was very professional and I am certain that I could of retained a full refund if that would of been my wishes. It wasnt.P.S. On my previous review I mistakenly spelled deaf like death instead. I aplogize if I offended anyone and I should turn my spell checker back on. English was my hardest college class.Sincerelydjb
If you need an oil change and you dont want to worry about being publicly reprimanded dirty air filter or have to worry about some jamoch not retightening your lug nuts, this is the place. Courteous and truly professional, good prices and basically expedient service. Dont go anywhere else.
Just moved into the area, and needed to get my oil changed. Brad was super friendly & was very informative about different types of oil, and answered all of my questions. I’ll definitely be back when it’s time for emissions!
My 2006 Toyota Camry that has always had soft brakes. Mutiple Employees at this Midas took the time to drive and trouble shoot why it is this way. They went over every part looking at what would make it work better and safer. I appreciate their honesty.
Paul and his crew are tops. Be surprised. I am...pleasantly!
What a joke.I tried to get a simple oil change at this location and was told it would be over 10 days before they could help me. There were no cars in the bay. In what world is this a business practice?Took my business to Jiffy Lube for service in 30 minutes.
Always get me in quickly and for a fair price
Great customer service and very attentive staff.
Had a coupon for $17.76 conventional oil change. The guy tries to tell me he can only change synthetic for $49.99. I said it has conventional oil in there and I want the conventional. He tries to tell me that Midas would only let change full synthetic oil at $49.99. I said its my car I decide what goes in my vehicle. Dont tell what I need in my car when conventional oil works for me. No point of having a coupon.
Good
I went in for an oil change, and I received my car back after it being about and hour late..... and the next day I checked my oil gage...... and it was sitting at around 4 % the amount at which is was at from when it went in. No my oil was not leaking I checked it. Very disappointed in this company...
Ray was very helpful with me! He gave me a great deal and had excellent customer service. I was worried about some things with my car and he gave me a great deal that made me feel comfortable and happy! I will come back to Sugarhouse Midas again! Ray is great!
Very good/reliable shop. They replace my radiator in no time. And it was still overheating but they took the extra time to go through and try and figure it out and didnt charge me for the extra hours they put into it. I will definitely go back. Everyone there was super friendly. And Brian the person I talk to mostly was super helpful and very nice and friendly.
Highly recommend. Brian and Clint were super helpful and did great work on my rotors and brakes. They completed the full job in about 30 min. I will definitely be coming back!
Came here last week for my Subaru. I’m Back again for my armada. Service is EXCELLENT. They’re so kind and answer all my stupid questions. Bryan and Travis have exceptional customer service and I will be back again! Prices are fair and they get me in when others won’t.
Bryan the manager looked at my U of U medical shirt and then looked at my truck exhaust and gave me a quote of $900-1000 for a new exhaust. I have been to 2 other shops Master Muffler and Capital Muffler both of which have given me a quote for $500 for the same materials and exhaust. I was willing to give them a try since I had not been back since they charged me $250 to charge, yes just charge(r134a) my A/C in my Cherokee about 15 years ago. Never going to give them a 3rd chance for my business.
Awesome experience. Came in with my new 2017 Honda civic after my oil changes ran out at the dealer, not only was their full syn oil changes cheaper, but travis the guy up front told me about my factory scheduled services ahead of time coming up. Wasnt pressured like most places. So far, this is my go to place when it comes to taking care of my vehicle.
I showed up a half an hour before closing for an oil change, while most places would be fine doing an oil change in half an hour, I can understand if things are really busy and it won’t work out. What I am disappointed in is how rudely I was turned away. I waited in line for five minutes without any sort of acknowledgement, and when I asked for an oil change I was told with a dismissive laugh”not today you aren’t”. Seriously, I think you should be willing to make it work (they weren’t busy), but if you can’t, then at least tell the customer in a somewhat polite way and don’t let them sit waiting to be helped before doing so!
The mechanics who helped me gave me great customer service and were completely honest about what my car needed. I am always hesitant to try franchise mechanic shops but I was very impressed by this Midas location. I cant stress enough how much I appreciated their service.
Great place to get your car serviced. I highly recommend Midas for just about any work. My recent visit was for a aliment. They were up front about the price before starting the work. I was also given a time estimate on how long it would take to complete. I was very satisfied with the work done and thank the guys at midas for taking good care of me and my car.
We are traveling from California to Kentucky. Our muffler came loose and we came to the most kind hearted Midas I have ever been too. They fixed everything in 5 minutes and had us back on the road. Thank you guys for you amazing kindness we will always remember your company.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION
I dont know if all Midas locations are like this but these guys make no apologies for installing the wrong pads last year that now we are being told have worn the rotors too far to turn and that we will need to have new rotors and pads to make it right. Travis said they would be happy to put the correct pads on with the new rotors. No thank you Midas. You could have chosen to resolve the issue instead you lay blame on someone in your shop installing the wrong pads last year, nice.
Thank you for the fast friendly service. Ernie you were great! Not only was you fairly priced but you were totally honest. I will be back not only in person but I will feel comfortable sending my friends and family there also.
I went in for an oil change. They told me a few things that I needed to fix on my car, the highest priority being my tires. I called around and went somewhere else for tires. That other mechanic shop named the things that Midas had told me I needed to fix but also told me a few others that Midas had overlooked (they were legitimate concerns, too). On top of that Midas had over filled my oil by a quart. So I had to go back to Midas to get the oil situation taken care of. The older gentleman was nice about the whole ordeal. Travis seemed annoyed that I would come back for that and after having the car looked at made a comment about it not being a full quart over. No matter what, they made a mistake and were it not for that older gentleman, it would seem like Midas didnt care at all. They arent thorough and they overfilled my oil.
Took for alignment two days in a row, still wasnt corrected second time, wont be back.
Today when my tire went flat unexpectedly they did a great job helping us out and were good about going and getting the right tires from the warehouse. They were very nice and super helpful. Good service!
I had the most horrible sound coming from under my car after hitting a pot hole. I took it here quickly worried that it might die at any moment. Shawn got it up on a lift and said the splash shield had been dragging. They Fixed it quickly and with no charge! Great People!
Open til 7 pm! I am up most evenings and sleep during the day so the later time works for me. its also really easy to get a good bite around the shop!
Don’t go here. Went to Midas to simply get my u joints replaced as I own a lifted 2000 jeep wrangler and the lift beats on my u joints pretty badly. I usually pay ~200$ to get them replaced at my usual mechanic (i’ve replaced them twice over the past five years). They called me and said it would cost 380$ to fix it and that my wheel cylinder was also leaking fluid and that would cost another 600$. I said that it was strange my u joints cost so much and the guy offered to drop the price to 280$ and I said that’s fine with me, but to not touch my wheel cylinder. I show up and the actual price of my u joint replacement was 341$ because they failed to mention that price was pre tax. I immediately drove to another mechanic who agrees that 341$ was absolutely way too high. I also had him look at my wheel cylinder and he said it wasn’t leaking fluid from what he could see by a quick look. Midas clearly saw a young female walk into their establishment and immediately took advantage... even though I told them what I normally pay for U joint replacements? I can’t help but wonder why the Midas on Main Street went out of business. Needless to say, I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.
These guys are super thorough and helpful. They do good work for a good price, and they are seriously the nicest people. I bring all my cars here for everything.
Ernie we miss you, he always takes good care of us. Take all our vehicles there and always feel listened to and well taken care of. Recently brought in our small car thinking we needed a brake job. No just a cleaning was all it needed. They could have easily sold us something we did not need. Thanks for your integrity and giving us reason to keep coming back!
Fast. Knowledgeable.
Great customer service. Thanks!
Got me right in for an oil change and after checking out the my camry noticed my rear shocks were leaking. They told me the shocks werent too bad and said I could do the repairs later. After 2 weeks i came back and got them done. Thanks for the professional service!
Great staff and always makes me feel like I count. Their work is great too and at fair prices. And Ernie get well
I called in for an oil change, made an appointment and took my car in. When I got there, they said it will take half an hour wait for them to get started on my car. (Whats the point of an appointment system if they arent going to make the appointments?) I know that things come up so I said alright and took a seat. I did get bored and left for a bit to go do some small shopping at Walgreens to kill time. I come back and we waited an extra hour!! All together, it took close to two hours for an oil change!! I looked out to my car a few times and each time, no one was even over at my car! And the guy who was working on my car, the couple of times, kept walking away from my car to talk to the other guys!! So I waited almost 2 hours for some guy to mess around, socialize and not work on a simple oil change that should only take around half an hour?! Ive gone to many other places and they all took only about 30 minutes and that with other customers being there!! Then once it was done, the guy tells me about all these problems with my car, saying that my fluids were contaminated and that my serpentine belt was old, frayed and cracking. I had my father-in-law check it out yesterday...and guess what? They were in perfect condition!! Once he showed me my belt, I was enraged that they tried to get me to perform work on something that was perfectly fine!! There were no cracks, no frays, nothing!! I will never go here again, after reading the other reviews, Im glad they didnt just start working on it and charged me! Ill give them that much. But otherwise...I dont trust these guys at all. Horrible work ethics!! (OH, and my father-in-law checked my oil and he said it was half way low!! I got this oil change two months ago!! Usually my oil doesnt get low for 5 months after an oil change!! There were no leaks or anything, so this means that they didnt even fill up my oil all the way!!)
My car dealer told me I needed new break pads, so I had Midas give me a second opinion. First of all, their break pad estimates are free. Second of all, they change the break pads you initially pay for after your visit free of charge for the lifetime of the car. Amazing and honest team here.
Do not go here, they have no work or business ethics. I took my Toyota Corolla in for 2 new front bearings, brakes front and back, emision test, rotors for front and a new serpentine belt. I took it in the morning and they said there was a good chance it would be done that day, it was a lot of work and figured about two any how. Ten minutes to close I had to call them and see if it was done or were they keeping it. They kept it and I did not hear anything till I went in there an hour before close on the second day, where I waited for 45 min. Took the car home and the next day there was a grinding sound coming from front end. Took it in the next morning again and it was there till about closing again. Service guy admitted they forgot to tighten something down and it was good go. He did not even apologize for the inconvenience and for the third full day. I take my stack of papers into the dmv thinking i had the emission certificate(my fault for assuming it was there) and they had not given it to me. I had to go back and give them my car a third time for the emission. Bye this time I was about over it. Another note, most Midas stores give a 10% military discount and they said they would give some sort of discount. They stapled a coupon on my receipt that everyone gets when you spend the money I did. That was there discount and appreciation. The owner was their and he offered nothing for the situation. STAY CLEAR OF THIS P LACE!!!!
Went in..like always do..but this time it was to ensure, Firestone, who said my tire rods were bad, was not just trying to get me back in and fix something, which wasnt broken. My faithful brothers came through..lol..it was not my tire rods but the control arm. Part was ordered..put on..saved a few dollars and I was out the door.Best guys EVER!!! Dont go anywhere else except Midas
Friendly people who have a good knowledge of the ins and outs of my vehicle
This place is the most honest mechanic shop around. Would not take my car No where else. They do everything
Brakes started squealing, They told me I would need brake pads and rotors. told me they would give me a call when it was done. later that afternoon I got my ride back and told me they pads are covered for life! 5 stars
I decided to give the Midas on 2100 south another try after a long hiatus. The reason for not using their shop was that they had previously replaced my air filter. When I got home and checked it, and there was nothing where the air filter should have been (except air). But the reason Ive finally decided to write a review was for a botched muffler job. I went in for an oil change and Ernie told me that my muffler had a hole in it. I checked and agreed. He gave me a quote for the muffler which seemed fair, so I asked him to complete the work.About a week later my check engine light went on so I brought it back to get checked. The Midas techs completed a series of tests on the computer, told me it was my O2 sensor and would be $180 to replace.I had difficulty trusting their hasty assessment. So I went to another mechanic who found that when the techs at Midas had replaced the muffler and pipes they hadnt used the correct gaskets where it connected to the catalytic converter, and that no gaskets had been installed where the O2 sensor connects (although I had been charged for them). This was causing exhaust to leak at these connections, which then made the check engine light come on. I had the second shop complete the repairs, and when I went back to Ernie with this information he told me he wasnt authorized to refund the cost of the labor that I requested. He told me that Paul Day (owner) had to make those authorizations, but he wasnt around. I saw Paul in the bay just after Ernie told me he wasnt there. I went back an hour later and confronted Ernie. Ernie told me that Paul was busy, but had authorized a return on the labor and the gaskets.Ernie and his techs were given a chance to make it right the first time around, but instead tried to charge me for more parts and labor. I would highly recommend avoiding this Midas unless you want to be charged for work that isnt completed correctly or at all.If you do choose to use this Midas then I would make sure to check that the work was completed correctly. I would also be aware that they will try to sell you shocks, transmission flushes, air filters, and brakes whether you need them or not. Be aware of the unnecessary upsell.
Great service and experienced technicians.
I am writing this for of my daughter, a young single mother. She had been putting off brake repairs on her Ford Escape On the reccomendation of my other daughter who works where the owner buys his coffee every morning I took my daughter in to Midas for a estimate and to see if I could help her with the bill, they were very busy when we walked in, there was a nice man who I assumed to be the owner (he was not in a uniform but very professional and kind) We were 3rd or 4th in line I could see he was somewhat stressed but by the time our turn came he apologized to me for the wait! I explained our dilemna, as he listened I joked he needed to hire some help! he just chucled and smiled at me and said I wish He offered to do a full brake check over while we waited to get me a price but I had to be back to work and had already been told what I needed just wanted a price he figured ub a bid and said he would be happy to work with us any way he could but needed to inspect her car to be exact on the price. My other daughter then texted me back with the owners name I was supposed to see and he had been out sitting in the pickup part of his truck taking a smoke break! I showed him the paper the man running the office had given us, he looked it over and said if we would go get the parts and pay cash he would do it for much less, my ex-husband used to do this in his business so I didnt think it was odd but I guess the old saying if its too good to be true it is!! 1st her car sat there a week maybe more right on busy 2100 south, and this was after we brought the parts, We got them where he told us to and now 2 weeks after the car is finished the brake pedal goes all the way down! I called but was told since we got the parts he cant help us! the money we saved has more than been lost with my daughter unable to get to her job! I just want it made right!!
Techs were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful - I didnt feel pressured to take care of anything beyond what I came in for, but got straight answers about what I did and didnt need. Went in initially for an emissions test and discovered a serious problem with a wheel bearing - they got my car in quick the next morning and I drove away amazed at what a difference they had made. Will be going back!
CUSTOMERS BEWARE OF THIS SCAM SHOP!!!! I called ahead and made appointments for my and my daughters cars to have oil service maintenance done. When we got there they told us it would be about 1 hour before they could start. We reluctantly agreed and went to lunch down the street. When we came back they said only one car was done and it would take about another 30 minutes for the second car, so we waited again. When they came back they said she needed a transmission flush along with the oil change so again we waited. FINALLY they said we were done and could go after a $200+ bill for both cars YIKES!! About 4 months later my daughter said she thought she needed another oil change because she couldnt find the mileage sticker for the next change. I decided to do it my self to see why it costs so much to do an oil change, thats when I noticed the oil was 4 quarts low and really dark brown in color (why so soon?). Then we noticed the oil filter was filthy and hadnt been changed, Transmission fluid was barely touching the dip stick, what happend to the transmission FLUSH and NEW FLUID added???? WHAT ELSE WAS LOW?? Battery water down to plates, power steering, braked fluid, window washer and even the engine air filter had not been changed BUT we paid for the 21 point service check guarantee and only got the SHAFT!! WE WILL NEVER, EVER GO BACK TO MIDAS!!!
Always honest timely trusted work.
I called around for prices, and this was by far the lowest. Went in expecting cheap service, instead had a perfect experience. Ernie took care of us, and Im definitely going back
They gave a free brakes inspection, then brought me into the shop so I could see the car and make educated decisions. Very nice, very trustworthy
Too be repaired, we took it too a local shop in sugarhouse, and they took pics, and had call midas,& they clearly denied the alligations, We, are calling GEPHaRT o. This matter, Location Middas ( BRAKPertaining too the rear brakes, and ( charged repaired a (False, advertising the rep said he, replaced a part ($150)which we paid too midas, Obviously the brakes clearly, still needed
These dudes have helped me do major repairs on three vehicles, and they are honest and transparent throughout the processes. Brian is a true homie!
Maintenance check and quick oil change. I will always bring my car here for service!
Ive been bringing my car here for a couple years now (its an older well loved car so things go wrong) they always take good care of my driving buddy -98 Saturn- & the rates are reasonable.
Always so helpful and friendly! They give it to you straight without the runaround
Bryan and Paul Are are honest, trustworthy people. They always take great Care of me and my car.
I needed my brakes and rotors done, travis and Paul were able to get everything done and even have me a ride to a doctor appointment when my ride couldnt get to me. I had 1 minor issue a couple of days after I had my brakes done and Bryan and travis took care of it asap, they found an issue with my caliper bolt, they went got new ones and made sure everything was safe and snug so my family can be safe on the road. These employees have been professional, caring and helpful, they have gone the extra mile and shown that they can be trusted to take care of customers vehicles.
Travis was great and got my oil change done quickly. He also got me quotes for the parts and tires that Ill need later this year.
Dropped my car off for oil change and Exhaust work. Picked up that afternoon. No Hassle.
Seems like a decent place, but at least for my issue I dont think their price estimate really reflected a reasonable cost of parts
Good prices and Excellent service. I like the lifetime warranty they have on their struts.
This place is a joke. Came in to get my brakes done on my 66 Ford f250, was told one price and next thing i know they raised the price not cool they ordered 4 of the wrong parts. U would think they would be professionals and get the job done right. Im sorry but it shouldnt cost 700 dollars for drum brakes. I was told the truck was gonna be done by 5pm i sat at the shop till 730 at night. Still not finished i needed the vehicle because of work they sent me home with piss pore brakes barely stoping and they rigged it to make it. Be careful going here they lie to there customers and dont do the stuff right.I would like to speak to someone higher up from this company
Terrible service. The sign on the door says it closes at 7. The website says it closes at 7. The guy inside says it closes at 6:30. When I told him about the signage in the website, he told me I could make an appointment or get out. Would avoid in the future.
These guys give mechanics a bad name. I went in for a simple safety and emission inspections and the bill supposedly was going to come out to $500. They were claiming things such as the wheel cylinder was leaking, saying my brakes were bad, and they were trying to charge me $45 to replace a tail light. My emissions passed just fine. After receiving this I went to another mechanic to have the same safety inspection. I passed. They said that i eventually would need new brakes and my wheel cylinder was leaking a little but not enough to need replacement. This garage tries to suck every possible dollar out of you rather than providing the necessary services. They prey on people who they know have to pass the inspections and make up all these bogus repairs that would be necessary at the time. Save your money and dont go to this midas.
Super friendly service
They were incredibly nice and helpful getting me charged up free-of-charge!
These guys cannot manage time. The first time I tried to have my oil changed there I made an appointment then dropped my car off. 30 minutes turned into 4 hours later before they were done. I also had them replace bearings. I was told it would be done by close that day, then by the next morning, then by maybe close the next day. They also seem to always have an extra things to up sell. I heard them tell me and many other customers while I spent time in the waiting area, you dont have to do this, but it would really be a very good idea.
We love this place because they were honest and strate forward with us. They have us an honest estimate and didnt lie about the work needing to be done.
*Nice people.*Short on staff everytime.*Cost too much $$$ to fix any car problems.
They are professional, very caring l specialy bryan is very helpful.
Good location, was able to get right in. Nothing bad to say. check it out if your in need of any repairs
So let me start by saying, 1 set of struts being replaced should take 3 hours max. Well dropped my car off at 8am... now it pushing 6 hours later. I asked why it was taking so long and they said the parts got sent to the wrong location and still are not here . My husband called at 10am and they said they’d have it done in an hour. Why they did not communicate that the parts haven’t arrived is beyond me ? We also made this appointment 7 days ago. So my whole day is wasted and I have no transformation and I’m not paying for another Uber because they are incompetent. Still haven’t received the parts, he told me it would be another hour or so, When I complained, he looked at me blankly and said “sorry” and then removed $30 .... like that makes up for me missing appointments and wasting my day ! Ha ha
TOTAL SCAM! DO NOT EVER GO THERE! I usually take my car to the Toyota dealership in Murray but since I didn’t have time that day, I took it to the Midas in Sugarhouse. I needed an oil change and also needed to get my winter tires switched back to summer ones. I found a $19.99 coupon and showed it to them, but after 15 min of taking my car to the back they told me that my car needed a special synthetic oil, that was $20 more dollars (something that they never do at the dealership) so I told them just to put the normal one and they said that they couldn’t do that because then they would be reliable if something happened to my car so I told them fine and to just do it. Then they come back out and tell me that the thread on my tires is too low and that they can’t change it unless I get new tires. I had gotten my tires about 2 years ago so I started to be suspicious and just told them not to change them that I was going to figure something out. That’s when they told me that they were going to charge me for putting my car up on the dock and for taking the tire out! I was outraged! Couldn’t they have seen “that the thread was low” before they took ONE tire off?! I told them that I was not going to pay for that and then they proceed to tell me that they were going to charge me for throwing out the oil (something they never told me at the beginning either!!).They also told me that my wiper blades need to be changed! I’ve had my fiancé change them 5 days before!!!! I flipped out and told them that they are THIEVES!!!! I ENDED UP PAYING $67 FOR AN OIL CHANGE!!!!
Friendly and quick service. They didnt try to push me to buy anything I didnt want to.
Ernie always takes care of me. The do a good job and the service is quick.
They took 90 minutes for an oil change. I even made an appointment. I sat in the waiting room the whole time. They then came back and quoted me stuff that was three times more expensive quoted at Firestone down the street. Boo! I cant believe they are still in business.
Quick, kind and good haircut😎
Well thats gay its a good shot take your car
Stay away from this business. When repair was done (no complain) they tried to charge me extra service fee, not included in original estimate.
Good service. Not exactly what I needed, but they treated me well.
Stay far away!!!! I first when here over a year ago. The quoted me almost a 1000 dollars for rear brakes and calipers. I did some research and found it at firestone for 700. So they sort of matched it at 780. I almost just paid the 1000, if I had been stupid. So I had a bad taste but they were willing to work with me and I said OK. My mistake. A year later one of the calipers they replaced goes out! I come back they replace it but still charge me a hundred dollars for labor. GUESS WHAT, that same caliper is out AGAIN! The odds are too high. STAY AWAY THEY ARE SLEEZY!
Super friendly fast and affordable thanks guys
Blatant Thieves. I am still reeling over what happened to me at Midas on 2100 south, and its been over three months. After paying over $800.00 on repairs (I only took it in to have an oil change and then one thing after another followed), I heard a thumping sound behind the rear left tire. I took it back in and they told me it was the Brake Caliper - another $850.00 repair. Well, thankfully I got a second opinion from Steves Automotive Repair. They checked it out and said that the rear brakes had not been connected properly and were banging around back there ... hence the thumping sound. They put the brakes on correctly and didnt charge me a dime. Holy Hannah! I know that I paid way to much to the crooks at Midas the first two times I went there ... but I will never go again. Please dont go here - they are so dishonest. They even had the gall to go on and on about other establishments like Jiffy Lube who rob you blind. They proclaimed themselves to be the good ol boys who worked hard and gave honest deals. They bragged about their honesty while knowing that my Brake Caliper was just fine. They lied right to my face again and again. I hate feeling like Ive been completely broadsided; dont go to these guys ever.
Hella great at in the spot registration
Everytime I go, they are straight forward, tell me exactly whats wrong and what needs to be done. Never a surprise and Ive been going to these guys for almost a year.
Service is a little slow, but always friendly. Prices are decent too.
Took in my 1 ton for emissions and inspection. They replaced smog pumps but still wouldnt pass emissions. When I arrived, they were using the O2 tank down the carb to burn off more hydrocarbons, but the problem was that they didnt connect the battery up correctly after their repairs. When I picked it up, it wouldnt start, the first time that ever happened. The mechanic climbed under my truck with a hammer and started slamming on my starter, I almost killed him!!!! Idiot. It finally started, but died on the way home because of the battery connection, which I couldnt find in the dark I walked home on I80 and had to come back the next day, the battery connection completely undone!!!!! Zero stars you fools
Please do not go here. This location is very dishonest. My car was all messed up after they replaced my converter. Now I have to buy a new engine because of their technicians are not qualified to do the work correctly.
