Cute coffee shop in an old building downtown. My Americano with sugar-free white chocolate syrup was good. The bagel and cream cheese was good too but not worth the price. My wife enjoyed her quiche. The main seating area was very open. The staff were friendly. You can walk to the state capital building in about five minutes from here.

I’ve recently discovered this treasure of a place! The cozy atmosphere, local coffee, and food is so rich and enjoyable! I absolutely love the art featured by a local painter as well ❤️❤️❤️

First time coming here, and it was amazing! The staff was nice greeting us as we came into the café, was patient as I took my time to decide what I wanted, and was also helpful in recommending a delicious drink.It was a White Chocolate Mocha with Raspberry, which I got with oat milk, my wife got a Vanilla Matcha Latte, and we shared a Chocolate Chip Cookie.The ambience is also very relaxed and old school scenery.They sell their own merch and Sister Coffee beans, which I will be trying soon.Definitely going back, and recommend the café.

Always friendly staff working and I love the mission of the place. When the space is open for seating inside, theres always a table you can find and its a dream of such open space and great music. Seasonal specials every few months which is my fav. Love seeing the regulars come together here so often - It really has a community feel inside! Their outdoor tables are perfect on a warm day for talking with friends or reading a book. Blueberry lemon scone is 10/10 and the muffins are just as good!

The 1st few times being here as a delivery driver i was not impressed. Ive been back dozens of times since then both as a driver and a customer. I must say they really have tried to make sure my orders are on time. Then there is this tall gentlemen with glasses who is a barista and he is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Love the ginger and turmeric lattes.. Thanks again!!!..

One of my favorite cafes in Salem! I absolutely love Ike Box cafe. The building is really neat, which adds to the enjoyment of lounging or working at this coffee shop, and gives the place a unique vibe. The employees have always been very personable, polite, and helpful. Their beverages and snacks are absolutely delicious, and the cafe and bathrooms have always been clean, which is something I appreciate. This is a great place to go on casual dates, for studying (if cafe studying is your vibe), to catch up with a friend, or to get some work done in a relaxed atmosphere. (Ive enjoyed Ike Box for all those things!) If youre visiting Salem, I definitely recommend the Ike. If you live in Salem and havent been, youre missing out!

My daughter and I were exploring more of Salem then weve seen and decided to find a coffee house. We walked a few blocks and it was well worth it. The prices are average but the coffee was delicious. The atmosphere was warm and comforting. They have multiple choices of seats from a chair and table to a comfy couch in the corner with a few private areas you can choose from as well. The staff were very friendly and the service was quick. Whenever were in the area again we will have to stop by for another delicious frappe.

I always get great coffee here, but today I tried a smoothie and it was really good. They have indoor and outdoor seating and great ambience.

Good quality coffee from around the world (even had Rwandan coffee). Went on a Sunday and the baked goods selection was bad, I can only assume this was because it was late on a weekend.Gorgeous space, it looks like they do love music here. Worth a stop for coffee.

I have been to Ike Box many times over the years and have never had a bad experience. The food and drinks have always been good and the customer service has always been exceptional.And sometimes there are surprises too like the time I went there and ordered something for $2.50 and was handed a $10 gift card to Ike Box that was being sponsored by (I believe) MAPS Credit Union.IKE Box is a wonderful organization and definitely a positive influence for the City of Salem.

Such a great place hidden in plain sight. Its small until you enter and realize how grand this coffee shop is. Definitely recommend this place for a study or a group meeting and the coffee is great too.

I got the jalapeno cheddar bagel with egg, cheddar cheese and a smoky pepper schmere. This was the BEST BAGEL, and by far one of the BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICHES I have ever had. My coffee was absolutely brilliant

The best thing about Ike Box is the space. Lovely historic building downtown Salem, Oregon. My opinion is that its more of a Fall and Winter place to visit because of the cozy ambiance. Staff that took my order today were very pleasant and my coffee was made quickly. A mix of people come here. State workers, old friends getting together, and of course people who work remotely.Ike Box serves Sisters Coffee House coffee from Sisters Oregon. Still undecided about how I feel about the espresso shots. Ive loved Sisters Coffee in the past but today its just ok.I came here today in search of a coffee house that was warm as I am tired of Starbucks blasting their AC in every lounge. Ike Box seems like a promising, comfortable alternative for this Fall.

Place was a bit hard to find as there wasnt a clear sign from what I saw. I liked our drinks but my bacon cheese scone was dry throughout and hard on one side. I think the story and the cause that started it all is heartwarming though. Building is huge, can accommodate groups. Has a place for live music as well.

Prices comparable to other local coffee shops. There is a parking lot but it is usually full during the day time. There is street parking at $1.50 an hour. Would recccomend biking (bike rack in front) or walking if possible.Quick service. To-go and sustainable, for-here containers for food & drink. Allows (or at least has not complained) about outside food & drink.Staff is extremely helpful. The outlets are all two-pronged and they modified a powerstrip so it could plug in and I could charge my laptop.

My new favorite spot to go for a quiet work place! The Apple cider I tried was so good. Also everything is spaced way out for COVID reasons Im sure but it just made it feel more comfortable and conducive to my productivity. I will for sure be back!

Forever my favorite café! Ive been going here since I was 14 starting with a random school event. I wish I had known about the Ike Quest youth program, because I would have benefitted from it greatly as the type of kiddo I was!I would continue to go here throughout the years, first loving their blended java chip with whip, then a cappuccino, and then black coffee they brew from their partnership with Sisters coffee co.!This is super cheesy, but I actually met my future fiancé there. It became their favorite café as well and looked forward to going there even though they lived in Portland and could only visit every so often.It was such a blessing to have worked there for about two years and it helped me become more confident. It will always be one of my favorite part-time jobs.Give em a shot if you havent already. The support from customers goes to a good cause of helping at-risk and dismissed youth of our society. There are countless success stories. You will feel at home at the IKE Box and wont regret it.

Like box is always good. Good staff, good coffee. I have not tried the food, but the decaf is good.Its always clean, warm and inviting. You wont be disappointed coming here.

As always Ike box Cafe good decaf coffee marvelous service amiable employees and I love the pastries. Im also able to navigate there seating area very easily with my Walker there are no obstacles and people are very courteous in giving me room to get around.Its nice to be able to carry on a conversation and not have the other tables conversation overshadowing yours.

This is my fave coffee shop in Salem. The staff is helpful and friendly, and the pull drinks quickly, so even when theres a line it goes fast. Ike Box not only has a great mission, they also have community rooms available for use, live music, and are overall a wonderful environment to work, study, or enjoy.

What a fantastic surprise to find Ike Box in Salem, especially on a day when most coffee shops were closed due to a city-wide water advisory (they have their own water filtration system). I drove by it the first time, as it appears to be a warehouse next to the YMCA. The inside was a wonderful surprise: spacious, with painted frescoes and comfortable seating. And GREAT coffee!

Its like your living room in a auditorium for the wise. Always a steady flow of gemmed coffee goers but consistently quick to meet your needs. Wish more vegan options were available but Hummus and a toasted everything bagel with the sisters brew is on point.

Coffee shop is established in a building that was previously a funeral home. No spooky feelings when entering. Coffee is good. Coffee and round available for chat and games. Can be noisy, which is why the 4 grade. Also steps on entry make it harder for those who have canned or walkers.

Love this Salem Gem. We rented the ballroom for our poetry competition and it was perfect! Chris was really accommodating and supportive. Excellent venue. The Y should reconsider tearing this piece of history down. Update: Thank you Salem Y!!! ♥️

This is one of those cool little local coffee shops. They sell Sisters Coffee, which is great. The location is older and has amazing character. Its a great little coffee shop to sit for a bit or spend an afternoon reading. Also, maybe most importantly, the tables are spaced far enough apart that conversations dont bleed over into one another. You can actually breathe a little and talk with the people you came with.

Really good coffee and food. This is a place to go for a quick stop or for a very casual meeting. It is more about functionality and being minimalistic than going for the typical coffee shop ambiance found in so many places. Plus, they have Sisters Coffee!

I have so many favorite drinks here and I love the peaceful atmosphere. If you want a quiet place with kind staff, this is where you should be. Their mission fills my heart.

I like that they have a good selection of healthier choices for snacks and nibbles. And my favorite drink here is the London Fog (an Earl Grey latte), really fantastic! Nice large, clean bathroom; I was able to fit a stroller and 3 kids in there. Lots of seating.

Ive always loved Ike Box. They do amazing things for the community- not abstractly- through Ike Quest they help kids who need it to get work experience, participate in programs that encourage growth, receive mentoring, along with many other cool things. This was my favorite place to study in college. The lighting is great. I like the feel of the place. It is cozy on days when its raining.

Its a fine and excellent coffee shop and they work some good caffeine magic there.Years ago, it also had the politest mosh pit Ive ever had the privilege of entering, so its also a fine and excellent small concert venue -- someone very promptly put me on the floor without a hint of concussion, and I had a lovely time. Make of that what you will.

A nice coffee shop with a friendly atmosphere. Staff were pleasant. I had a cup of coffee and a cookie. Neither were to my taste-buds liking. But, I dont usually drink standard drip coffee, nor eat cookies like the one I chose there ... however, clearly many others seemed to like their beverages. Plenty of tables, chairs, sofas, overstuffed chairs and little side rooms to enjoy coffee, friends and/or internet.

An enjoyable coffee shop although the large main room is quite echoey which can make both conversation and work less enjoyable. It also closes early so dont plan to stay long. The coffee itself is nothing special but priced fairly

IKE Box has a fantastic ambiance and a super friendly staff. Its older structure and architecture give it an authentic feeling that set it apart from trendy coffee places trying to be hipster chic, but it also offers all the modern amenities. If you want a peaceful and calming place to enjoy your drink or have a bakery treat, this is it!
