Ive rented from this location 2 times and its always been a smooth transaction. The male desk associate that assisted me was very quick, efficient and polite. I was able to drop off the vehicle contact free and the rental rates were very affordable.

Visited ti pick up some supply. Nice staff. Used this location for hitch install too. It was clean job

How can you cancel my reservation because I’m an hour late. I booked it for 6 hours. What the hell did I pay for yesterday? Nothing. Dumb way to run a business. What a joke.

All I know is they have manager who definitely deserves a raise! I sat there and watched her deal with problems after problem/problem customer with respect and a smile on her face. I was kind of shocked. She could have easily told the customer that there was nothing more she can do and to have a nice day but she took her time and didnt stop until the customer was happy or at least not upset any more. #GiveTiffanyaraise or at least lunch lol

The combination of horrible customer service and the experience that I had at this location is the reason why I will never do any more business with U-Haul ever again. After an email was sent to me confirming my order, I went to pick up the truck that I had reserved only to find out that they had given me a smaller truck. None of the equipment that I had asked for in my reservation was there. After calling customer service three times asking for some answers on where my equipment was with no response from them. I then asked them if they could find me a location with a 17 foot truck and was basically ignored. I was forced to take the truck since I had no other way of moving my belongings that day. I had to make twice as many trips since the size of the truck did not allow me to fit all my belongings in one trip. Which of course resulted in me getting charged more for the miles that I traveled. I would say if anybody does rent a truck from U-Haul, I would call before going to pick up your equipment. Because even though in the email it says that the items are reserved for you, in my experience its been the opposite of that.

Was at the Uhaul Saddle Brook location and was totally satisfied with the customer service experience provided by Renae Ross. Totally professional, friendly and super helpful! As of now this is the location I will aim to go to .

I needed a U-Box and they didnt have one so they reserved one for me at the nearest U-Haul in East Rutherford.

Always have the rental truck size I need when I need it. Staff always friendly and helpful. I always reserve online.

Very poor customer service fromTiffany GM or Owner. Even after making reservations they said 10 feet van is not available. Very Rude and do not know how to talk to the customers. Charged $40 extra too had to call customer service to get money back

Horrible experience. Rented a truck for Saturday 2/20/2020. When I picked up the truck it had 1/4 tank of gas. When I dropped off it was stating that truck had a full tank at pick up which is false. Truck was only driven 6 miles where is the logic in using a full tank. Now Im getting charge $72 for fuel and also was charged double for safemove i stead of 14 its charging 28.

Pick up by 7, they still closed by 7:28. Very disappointed and now I’m late...

Currently waiting ONE HOUR on line and now I have to change my reservation time and delay my move. Not sure why there is one person ah the desk. there should be a separate line or station for simply pick up. I don’t know understand that the point of reserving ahead of time or checking in before time is when I am not 32 minutes in here during COVID.

Schedule your tow hitch install with these guys. Not even worth braking your back laying on the ground to try and do it yourself.

I went here in 08/2020.Felix (the mechanic) and the location manager fixed sub-par work performed at another u-haul location. Felix is extremely knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to let him work on my car. The manager was accomating and did everything he could to rectify the poor experience I had at a nearby U-haul location.

This was a terrible experience and a huge waste of money! When we arrived to pickup our truck in (paterson), they gave us a terrible truck which was extremely dirty, damaged, and it would not start! We stayed there for over an hour trying to explain to the man who worked there that the truck is not good. He was not cooperating with us and made the process very difficult. He finally gave us the information to head over to another location (saddle brook) and when we arrived there, they were forcing us to pay again, which we had already paid at the first location. This process had taken over 3 hours. It was ridiculous! They gave us the truck which had barely any gas in it, pretty much empty. We unloaded the truck only to see that majority of our boxes were damaged due to some kind of water leaking into the truck! Almost everything in the truck was destroyed including a fire place and a brand new tv! When we finally arrived in Illinois, we left the truck at the location we agreed on with U-Haul. As soon as we walked in, there was no one there to greet us. We waited for quite some time. When this man walked up and he didn’t even say hello, he just asked us what the name on the reservation was. We told him and he just walked away. When he came back he didn’t even give us any paperwork and told us about some extra fees which we had to pay! He definitely didn’t know what he was doing! When we asked for the manager, he said he was the only one working today! How ridiculous! I will never ever rent a truck from U Haul again and I will definitely not recommend anyone rent from here either! Almost $1000 spent on this truck rental and it was a very disappointing experience!

Reserved a 26 ft truck and when we arrived it wasnt there. After over an hour we left without a truck worst costumer service on the phone offered us a 20ft trick in passaic for the same price. Worst. Ended up going to Penske in Garfield got our 26ft truck with an emt discount

Had a rental here for a truck and several pieces of moving equipment that I reserved online. Upon arrival I was told they had the truck but none of the supplies I reserved online including moving blankets, appliance dolly, and furniture dollys. Couldnt do the move without that so rescheduled for the next day and they assured me that they would have everything. They didnt so had to go to U-Haul of Passaic to get everything. Be aware that an online reservation does not necessarily guarantee that the store will have everything you want in stock! This may be true of all U-Haul locations Im not sure it was the first time I used them.

Manager is a joke 3rd time screwing up reservation and he acts surprised when you get upset. No conception of the fact that people make reservations for reasons. One mistake is understandable but three times is nothing more then incompetence and no requard for your customers. You should not be in customer service.

I called to reserve a trailer for one way move weeks in advance. I called to confirm several times with the 1-800 and local branch. A day before the move Im told that there are no trailers in NJ only PA. What a disgrace. What a pathetic customer service. Thank you for leaving me with no trailer a day before my move.

I reserved 5x8 trailer long time ago and I was supposed to pick it up 10am in Fort Lee. A day before I went online to check my reservation and the location and time for pick up was changed without me knowing it. No phone calls received. So Saturday evening I spend a few hours trying to reach out and change my reservation hours and location. I have been ping ponged for a very long time waiting on hold. So one representative changed my reservation to a totally different location too early too far without my approval and it was already 7pm so everyone would just hang up on me. Three employees been very rude to me, none of them introduced themselves. This is ridiculous. My whole moving plan is crashed.

TL,DR - Don’t get a trailer hitch done here.Made an appointment to get a hitch done. It got moved without my knowing but luckily the guy they swapped into my slot never showed up, so they took me.I went to a local Starbucks to wait. Around 1:00 I got a call that it would be an hour and a half longer than I was initially told due to a “sudden situation” that sounded more like an extended lunch break. When it was done, everything looked good.Next day I went to go take a trailer out and move some stuff. The brake lights on the one-day-old wiring harness weren’t working. They wouldn’t let me take the trailer.Made an appointment with the Saddle Brook location to fix it. The hitch guy didn’t show up.Made a second appointment. The hitch guy didn’t show up. And I was told my appointment was moved to the next day.The icing on the cake was when they told me I would have to pay to have it fixed because I didn’t buy some warranty nobody ever told me about.I’m taking it somewhere else to get fixed properly.Place is a damn joke. Avoid.

Fast and friendly service. Definately not cheap though. What they advertise as a $20 rental will cost you at least $60 if you drive 10 miles. Be sure to reserve ahead of time else you may not find any rentals.

Be ready for hidden charges..they will charge you for extra mileage, cleaning and etc. Check the gas level and mileage, if possible take picture in and out, when pick up and returning.Especially when you complain, you are the worst! Something wrong must be happening there. I do not want to speak out what I mean, smart people will understand.

If you want to wait over 5 hours for a hitch job that you were told would take 1.5 hrs max come to this place. No consideration for customers time. I chose to have hitch installed because my time is precious. If you want something done correctly and efficiently do it yourself.

If I could give this place a zero I would.Moving halfway across the country, and I needed a hitch put on my vehicle. Go to a legitimate trailer place if you need it done right and care about the quality of the work.Dropped the car off at 10 a.m and was told we were going to be called when it was finished in 2-3 hours. 1 oclock rolled around and we heard zip. So we proceeded to call ourselves to find out what was going on with our vehicle since we also needed to rent a trailer and start packing it. Someone answered and took our information and said theyd call us back when they found out the status of the vehicle.1:30 they called and said it was done, and we could come pick it up along with our trailer we were renting. We left immediately and arrived within minutes. The only other person in the place other than the hitch installer brought us out to hook everything up so we can be on our way.Well that didnt work out as planned because the trailer brakes lights were not activating upon the car brakes being engaged. As the kid walked back inside to do god knows what, my boyfriend and I proceeded to check and see what the actual issue was. Low and behold it was the car! Upon telling the installer that something was wrong with the wiring, we waited an hour while he slowly finished up a job on a van that was going to take him 10 minutes.No manager to talk to. The hitch installer was rude. And when I asked for a manager the kid in the store told me well I dont know what you want me to do when there is no manager here.Would not recommend, especially since I think this installer has no idea what he is doing.

Dont do any business with these people. They are very dishonest and expensive with lots of hidden costs and will charge for things incorrectly then promise to fix your bill with a credit and then they dont do it. They wont provide a receipt nor will they email you out one when you call their 1 800 customer service number. These people are crooks and seem like they take advantage of people when theyre stressed out with moving already. They add more stress to your life, go somewhere else not here.

If I could give less than one star I would. The manager Chris Munez is a rude and disrespectful person who has no business working in customer service. From rolling his eyes and speaking with a constant attitude, to ripping something out of my husbands hand! Then when you say something about the service, he tells you to go somewhere else that they dont need your business. Pretty sure Uhaul doesnt feel the same and since its not HIS business, they should probably get rid of him. As you can see from the other reviews, Im not the first to have an awful experience. Obviously a poorly run location.

I had a 10am appointment to get a bike hitch put on my car. I called before coming to confirm that I would not need to drop the car because it would only take an hour to an hour and a half maximum to have it done. It is now after 12 and they havent even looked at my car.

Well stocked for moving supplies. There are a lot of different size boxes and some are discounted if you buy in bulk.

Dont use the movers they provide. Movers never showed up! I am still waiting for my refund for movers and it says online I only get partial money back for the work they never did and they never apologize for their mistake!!When your movers never shows up and your truck return getting delayed then you will understand the feeling....

They dont carry enough rental supplies. Only rent from here if you dont need dollies, packaging material, furniture pads etc... They wont have them when you go to pick up the truck. Rented here twice, and neither time did they have the supplies. They told another couple picking up a truck the same story.

I wish I could leave 0 stars! The traffic department is horrible. God forbid you ask these people for help, they want to cop an attitude. You get paid to perform in a professional manner. Perhaps Uhaul should make their employees take an anger management course or 2. Home depot or Penske for the future!

Do not get a hitch put on here! Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. I have a brand new Jeep cheorkee and am about to waste my third day with these people to fix what they have done to my car.I had an 11am appointment on Friday. They tell me it will take 1-2 hours. Ok no problem. I get there at 10:50am. No one talks to me until 11:10am. After I finally check in, they say your all set but the mechanic isnt here yet. I have to wait until 2:30pm to get a phone call to tell me they do not have the correct part. So clearly the mechanic didnt get there until 2:30pm. They apologize and say bring it back tomorrowI bring my car back the next day. They say 1-2 hours. Ok no problem. 6 hours later they say the car is done. I drove away. It sounds like they didnt screw something in properly. Ever time I accelerate or hit a bump there is a huge bang on the bottom of my car. I now have to go Sunday, the third day now, to see if they can fix what damage they did to my car.Stay away at all cost. Not worth the inconvience.

Stay away at all costs !!!Truck broke down, then you tried to charge for the mileage while the truck was being towed ! Every time I called no body could give me an answer. Further more the day after they kept calling me to return the truck !!! It was towed by your associates.Bad location, bad company. Next time I’ll pay the extra $$ and go with Penske or budget.You guys are definitely not worth it.

Absolutely the worst service ever. A $19.95 cargo van charge turned into $55.00 when I clearly went 10 miles. Thier mileage on vehicles is way off. RIgged!!! Next time will do home Depot. Use a friend next time with a van!!!

No issues picking up Uhaul from this location. Our only issue is when we asked for a return location, they told us to look up any Uhaul and go there to return it. Well, there are apparently Uhaul locations that only do storage and not trucks and we had to go in search of another (causing us to add extra mileage to the truck, which we had to pay extra for).

The shop os clean and so are the trucs. Nice customer service too.

Needed a trailer for Friday, Saturday, Sunday for a car show up lake George n.y.Preordered the trailer on line in 5 minutes, went for a pre-inspection on weds. Took 5 minutes. Picked up trailer on Friday and that took 5 minutes. Dropped trailer off Sunday and that took 5 minutes.Everyone there was very pleasant and efficient. They had everything organized and my trailer was ready to go!!! The trailer handled pulling my 29 ford model a no problem.This is my go to uhaul place after this great experience.

When is about moving, U-Haul is the king, Ive ranted a medium truck for moving and didnt cost but 100 bucks for whole day, perfect. Highly recommended.

Be careful with your return day I got duble charged for a 24hr rental agreement on a u hall trailer rental agreement save your return receipt for just in case you get duble charged for your return thay dont check in time and its thar mess up and some trucks need work.

UHaul changed our pickup from Communipaw to Saddlebrook 3 days prior to pickup. So the cost was exponentially higher. We couldnt get an account set up, the requested dollies were not there until we asked to speak to a manager, regional, and otherwise. Then the dollies appeared.

Not exactly the smartest tools in the shed working here. Make sure to confirm everything said on both ends and hopefully theyll only screw up on a handful of things instead of the whole order.

Accidentally left my ezpass transponder in van. They never called me to let me know they had it, nor do they ever answer their phones. I know; I called them half a dozen times to see if they had it. I had to come in person, and voila. The guy said they always call for lost items. Bullshit.
