In the store they are kind and helpful, but in the yard they act like its a hassle that you are there and refused to cut my lumber from 16 to 8s and i have a 6 ft bed!! My lumber fell off on the hwy do to not being able to ratchet my strap enough without breaking it (3slat siding) as it hung almost over the cab

Go here first! EVERYONE here is amazing! Why go to big box HD, where you cant find someone to help you, sub-par quality of lumber(if you can find what youre looking for in the first place) when you can go into New Home and ask the friendly staff what you need, order and pay for it... then drive round back and have more friendly staff, fresh cut your order and load it into your car? HD NEVER again, New Home Supply is the place to go!

They hand picked dry, clean #1prime redwood 2x6 and 2x4s from the lumber yard for me. No knots. The Ladys inside were personable and professional and knowledgeable. Service was great. I highly recommend this lumber yard to everyone tired of the no service and help you get at home depot.

So they didnt have the obscure, outdated part we were looking for, but the woman we talked to was incredibly helpful and did her best to point us in the right direction. I would definitely come back for another project.

Depressing place, everyone there seems like they dont like their job, they helped but they werent very happy about doing it it was like a Taskmaster forcing them to do the job, I remember when there used to be a good attitude in the store but as they say nothing lasts forever

This place is great. They have a great staff who knows what theyre talking about, and their lumber quality and selection is excellent. I live 3 minutes from a big box home improvement store, and 15 minutes from New Home Building Supply. I pick New Home Building every time.

I like this building supply store. They have items no one else carries. The customer service was top knotch. Very knowledgeable staf and helpful. Really good place for Building material needs.

I wish I knew about this place sooner. I have been working on my place that was built in the 1950s. I need a lot of building materials that big box stores like Home Depot don’t carry. For example, I was able to find stucco trim for two of my doors that I could not find anywhere else. I will definitely be coming back here for my building material needs.

Let me just say, I am so sick of not finding what I need at Home Depot and Lowes. My visit to New Home Building Supply I got my entire assorted list of exterior trims, lap sidings, T1-11, and dimensional lumber. This place has become my first stop from now on.

I gave them the wrong measurements for glass even though they dont cut for the particular item I needed this for. They were nice enough to still service me. Really great experience and they do it on the spot. No waiting period! ❤ definitely recommend!

This store is perfect for everything Ive needed for building a porch and all my home projects. I found this store when I needed a quality Simpson part that I could not find at the giant big box store I used to go to. When I first stepped in here it felt small compare to the big box and I thought it would never have everything I needed. But now that ive spent thousands of dollars here buying many truck loads of stuff I can tell you they have every quality part you could ever need. You dont need a thousand choices if they ony need to stock the three best choices. There staff are very helpful and friendly and I love being able to pull right up to load the wood and not having to push my giant wood loads on the loud rolling carts in the big box places. It is my favorite hardware store by far now and the only place near by to get many of the things I need like certain cuts of wood and proper metal braces. Thank you!

Ive been coming to this store off and on for more than 20 years, as a Sacramento contractor who works in the area around this store only occasionally Im not what you would call a regular. However, the treatment Ive received from these people the last three times Ive been in here is absolutely appalling. To be followed around like a thief was unexpected but the jackass at the counter who couldnt have been more rude was the icing on the cake. Im done with this place.

Supplies were cool but service acts like your wasting there time with your business. Few employees were helpful or pleasant. Mostly the help behind the counter is where the attitude is. The heavy lifters were kind and helpful.

This place is dated. Not the fastest people in the world and the selection for things are pretty limited. Its probably been here for decades and it feels like it. I had no real issues. Staff was friendly when it was your turn but the wait is about triple of any big store places like Home Depot or Ace.

Im all for visiting and shopping at local stores, but the incompetent and rude employee is unacceptable. I was in the area and needed a few items from the electrical department and unfortunately the employee did not know the difference between indoor and outdoor emt products.
